i play tablet almost solely in WvW these days probably my favorite play style at moment.

Project Tranquility : Tether Distance is to small to be honest i would like to see it raise to 2000 – 2500.

Ventari Will: Its range is to small i would like to see it raised to 1050 – 1200. With 900 range i typically just de-spawn the tablet if i need to push it more then 1000 range forward because of cost to much to micro forward. i would also like to see it energy cost be lower to 6 – 8(just to allow more mirco-ing of tablet movement not needed to play tablet).

Protective Solace: I would like to see this skill give a boon when active maybe 1 second of stability to 5 allies on a 3 second interval, first interval is at 3 seconds because you do not want people just popping the bubble to get stab then dropping it right away.

Diminish Solace: This skill should become a 5 target pull bring all foes toward the tablet at a 240 range.

Natural Harmony: Amazing skill does not need a buff in anyway but i would love to see it be given regen for 2 seconds on use.

Purifying Essence: Skill cost little to much i would like to see it lower from 30 to 25 – 28 not much to make it really see play.

Energy Expulsion: i think this worst skill on bar overall it energy cost is to high to be worth using almost any time in any fight other then to break bar with. i would lower it from 35 to 30 an see if that make it more useful in game play. i would also change how it explode from single knock back to it pulling foes toward it before it explode then pushing them back.

explain how it would work rev stuck in a 1 second fix animation where tablet would begin to explode at 1/2 mark it pull 5 foes in and then at 1 second tablet would explode knocking them back.

overall i think tablet is really fun to play it just need a few fixes make it more fun for everyone.

i just unlock “Bowls of Tapioca Pudding” and +200 healing power does not even work on it.

so that made me curious is any of other food not working on hot ? it currently only one i have unlocked.

Can someone explain this to me from a balancing view of why if you let your upkeep drop to 0 legendary dragon utility skills get a 5 second soft reset over a full CD time.

i am not complaining i just confused i would love to know why it like that. because i honestly feel no reason to even manage my upkeep bar because it more effective boon time to let it drop to 0 then cast a butten wait on a CD.

thief is meant to be the king of movement and with all the changes anet has done to classes with rune set swiftness change. i think by giving them infiltrator arrow on F3 it would break away from just it becoming less out tempo an return to what thief should be a hit an run class. using tactical location to relocate gain the edge in fights.

like think of how amazing p/p could become if they had a 5 second teleport the re-positioning would be insane.

if we wanted to add stealth to it we could throw it in trait line of Cloaked in shadow just add F3 know apply stealth.

i was thinking it would be cool if “initiator arrow” was removed from short bow and replaced with another skill.

But i thought it be even better if they moved infiltrator arrow to F3 skill on say 5 second CD (make it classed as a trick skill). allow thief to keep all it movement with every weapon set over having to carry a set just for 1 skill.

what i would replace skill 5 with be probably tether shot skill. that bounce off players within 70 range each player tether last 3 seconds. breaking the tether cause 1 second stun stealing 1 boons to the thief and share with allies.

Refund supply on destroying siege

i would like you to add a rank point thingy. that reward stuff on destroying other team siege.

such as point could be like

1. deal 10% unused siege
2. destroying siege reward 0 – 5 supply(pre person that tag siege)
3. gain a random defense boon on destroying siege.(regen 1 minute, protection 30 seconds, Resistance 10 seconds, aegis 10 second, stability 10 seconds )
4. create a fire field after destroying siege. 10 second field causing burn 1s on 1s pulse. hitting 25 target.
5. Gain an option to destroy your own siege refunding 50% of siege cost.(24 hour Cooldown) (to avoid trolling)

really all i care about is rewarding supply on destroying siege other stuff is whatever to me i just wanted to give you a full tree idea.

i played thief for a long time these be top 3 things i suggest you learn

1 always watch your mini map if you can get a cap go for it does not matter about anything else.
2 learn how class rotate so you can learn to predict heal moves. if you can see them coming you never let them heal again.

3 of all do not feel bad to ditch your team in fights there are times where you will just be useless it better to spend your time rotating to another part of map.

i see answer your question he was killed by culling stealth is reveal time is 3 seconds culling time is 5 seconds. (this was fix a long time ago) only way to re enable culling is if your video setting are set up wrong for WvW

alright to answer your question yes it was a thief(you can tell just by animation of skills, debuff on warrior and most of all the sounds). he some how culling the game because if he was under ground you would still see his name tag and you would be able to hit him z axis does not change in the game i would know i tried to exploit it many times lol.

what type of video setting do you use ? there options that effect culling in the game. shading being a huge one(should be set on high if in wvw). there also an option that “limit particle effect in a area that turn on culling option that will cull kitten zerg that 2 feet away from you to allow your computer to process better”

i was told of a BL item that was causing random teleporting on WVW maps. i will not go in to detail about it been reported.

Also how are you getting in to old boarderland maps i as far as i know they where removed at release of hot.?

when i ran power thief in WvW i prefer strength but if you wanted to go with scholar i would recommend trying to hit 60 – 70% crit rate with fury because your goaling to end a fight in 3 seconds after you get hit that set basically dead weight.

if you want to run that rune set i would suggest picking up signet of agility to boost your crit rate up with out having to really change your gear around.

at 44 % it on low end with fury 64% is fine you do not really need it higher then that just if you drop pack you lose 10 second of fury means you only have fury on steal you do not want to waste it just to have stat buff.

if you wanted to run another rune set you have to think about raising your crit rate to 50% base line

i would drop shadow refuge an pick up bandit defense it probably top utility on thief in game(think of it like 1.5 second endure pain that come with a free CC ) also flows better with impact disruption. and i would also run impact strike over basilisk vemons same reason expect impact strike second and final hit almost same amount of dmg as a backstab think of it casting 2 backstab with out stealthing.

main reason i take trickster over bountiful theft is it uses very bad boon ripping. where it first to last. unlike say new intrup sigil that rip boons it has set order in witch it steal them.

and even if con clear is not overly being used just withdraw the 14 second on heal is pretty good.

i would take weakening strike over havoc mastery just because your trying to goal for a high dmg build does not mean you can not become tanky. think of this way you have posion on your dagger + steal cause weakness + weakness on crit is effective up time of 9 seconds very 20 seconds lower your dmg taken by almost 50%. + you put dash ontop of it your dmg reduction get pretty insane.

for food you should run bountful maintenance because you really do not have stat to make use of it an only a loss of 1% crit rate over gaining 1s on all your boons.

for sigil i would drop sigil of blood and pick up sigil of draining because it does 2x more dmg then blood on same cd just need to intrup to get value from it. with the amount of CC you have on your build with that changes it pretty easy to do.

Yes, thank you! Are pack runes still good? I’ve heard good things of daredevil runes as well. Also, I’m still skeptical on bountiful oil as it seems that extra 1% crit might be better than a little more might uptime (when I do have it) as crit rate is constant, but not might. Sigil of draining would definitely be great. Is it better than fire now?

because your crit rate so low pack probably best option for you daredevil would be good but it combo better with bounding dodger. with dash you probably always be in a bad spot where that crit going to get value. also with pack you get 100% up time on fury.

sigil of draining to see number is roughly 2k dmg on intrup on 5 second CD
sigil of fire is roughly 1k can hit 5 target on 5 second CD

so unless you are always hitting 2 target it dmg loss.

to answer your question on how to take a camp what you do is run in to camp try to pull them so all stack up against a wall then pop dagger storm spam cluster shot it should clear everything in about 2 minutes.

Congrats, DH is so much cheese. I’ve only had luck beating DH with my Barbarian Trickster build (just what it sounds like) because of the massive Vitality and Scorpion wire.

if you are still losing you probably engage wrong or you do not know how to fight.

i use my build as how to engage with that style because i have not seen you post one of your own.

first you need to understand what is important on traits
daredevil big thing is 50% endurance on steal + weakness on crit +dodge is – dmg mod and con removal.

deadly is weakness on posion. + dmg mod + CC

Trick is bonus initiative bar + cc + boons

so for fighting you want to try to avoid using steal to engage because by doing so your giving up 1.5 dodges + not likely to land intrup

so typically you go black powder > 4 heart seeker> running up to them to backstab auto attack

if you need to do it faster you go black powder > heart seeker > (over 300 range) shadow shot > backstab

set up intrup most people react at 1/4 of a second so just hit head shot after first auto attack of your backstab.

i hope that help abit with what you could be doing wrong.

Instead of marauder, would Valk+Zerk/Valk work too? My stats are basically the same.

Basically goal for 15k – 18k hp // 2k – 2.5k // 40 – 60 crit rate(with out fury) armor everything else is your choice.

i think anet made guard trap ward slightly larger thief could deal with it a lot easier main problem with is is if you dodge inside if you you get knockdown if it was like hammer ward you just run around in circles till it down with dodging.

daredevil traits is enough to deal with most con builds. if you take dash + dodging con removal.

if you feel you still do not have enough i suggest running shadowstep maybe even signet of agility.

i disagree to both options. mug is good for being chain hits such as for venom hits.

executioner is important to thief when playing slower damage builds.

but you do not need either trait to make a good build.

2.4k an 2k armor is almost no difference to be honest lol only thing really effect your HP bar are things that lower dmg by % like protection or weakness.

- they change how stuff paths. also a change long time ago that effected steal that if you cast stuff
- also change you cant cast behind yourself anymore that mite be what throwing you off.
- also changed that there timing now when you can steal or it rubber band you back.

WvW is balanced at seeming unbalanced. there just some builds that hard counter other builds. nothing to really QQ about just make a more well rounded build an you wont die to 1 hit combos.

an that combo take the thief 1/4 + 3/4+ 1/2 = 1.5s since he used most likly his bali vemon on double strike means stun would of been removed at 1.25s being 1/4 of a second befor backstab landed you could of death sthrouded or reaper form befor it connected.

Nah it cool giving all negative feed back honestly i just thought weapon swapping idea would be cool i kinda wing making rest in say an hour to throw idea out there.

you make a lot of strong points over all i am sure more people could put input in to it.

way i understand specialist is one class learning from another. so this could be thief learning from engi.
