shadow shot is more reliable hit then doing full combos. if your fighting a huge hp bar like a nerco probably want to rely backstab to get threw there hp bar faster. but if your fighting something squishy you should relying on combo that do quick burst dmg.

but more or less what it come down to is it better to rely on instant cast skills then skill with cast bar.

like if i am fighting a slow class like warrior sure i will backstab him all day but if i am fighting something like a another thief you try to do that to him he instantly kill you lol.

Main problem with rev as a healer is honestly the traits are garbage.

Shrouding mists is impossible to upkeep over 50% i honestly think this trait should be merge in to selfless amplification

Selfless amplification should scale on 75 healing power over 100 honestly i run almost highest healing power in game it only 23% it kinda weak for a grand master at 75 it would be 38%

natural abundance should be changed to drop 1 healing fragment every 3 seconds make them last for 10 seconds.

Tranquil Benediction should just be merge in to natural abundance

Nourishing Roots be buff to make tablet interval 1 second heal over 3 seconds.

core of rev healing itself is well design it just traits are sub par to it

aerobatic need damage to be worth looking at thief does not have HP to run a bunker line sadly. you may get a lot more dodging in it but dodging has punish frame in itself so more or less a gimmick to rely on.

best way to fix it would be to add to assassin reward gain +5% dmg mod for 10 seconds after eva an attack and can be stack 5 times.

that give the line what thief core needs to be able to support running it. i know it sounds like “power creeping trait” but it because of the way a net design thief weapon skills all there base skill by default are insanely low damage main reason they output high is because thief trait have so many global passive damage mod on it.

boon ripping goes do not quite me on exact number but if i remember off the top of my head it. when thief steal a boon it has it own timer prebuilt in to it that you can use boon dur to extend it.

Swiftness 20 seconds
might 20 seconds
regen is 10 seconds
fury is 10 seconds
vigor is 10 seconds
retalliation 10 seconds
quickness 5 seconds
ageis is 5 seconds
protection is 5 seconds
stability is 5 seconds
resistance 2 seconds

if i am wrong please correct me but i believe that how it works.

thief had direct dmg on them to begin with they removed it for trapper set .

top be honest i think needle trap is one of the top 5 utility thief has. it need no buff.

Ambush trap never have 2 thief that would imply you going to give thief guild 3. honestly that trap should just be removed from the game it was a bad design.

shadow trap mech just need to be changed to portal mech. so it can not be LOS by anything.

Tripwire should become a 4 second ward. of when you pass threw it you get knockdown.

that all traps need if you “want” to buff it.

best tip i can give is record yourself think of a zerg as a ying yang they always rotate in counter active to one another to try hit other one back line.

fields will stay active even if there max charge is achieved be aware of your group pre pulse interval of skills(so if your in a zerg fight they cast a field most last 4 seconds if it been active for 2 seconds it most likely no longer active because it only achieve a max value of kittens Wards are exception of 10 hits) to be able to weed your way threw visual distraction.

break zerg in to 2 types are they “con or are they power” if there con use rev to block with resistance if there power use some form of healing to out heal them such as ele rev druid.

understanding how to destroy a front line you want skill such as nul field(mesmer) or wells(nerco) that rip boons(mainly stab and resistance). it ineffective to try use such skills as wards or CC move to remove stability now that it has internal CD on being removed.

always try to take the high ground in every fight if you cant achieve it should back off try to find a better way to engage. (main reason you take high ground is so your backline has superior targeting in warding game.)

after all that it just practice now your match up remember guild tag how they run you will get good fast.

im sure most of what i said was already covered but i just recapping it.

if a camp is defend it become to what class you are fighting. WvW to vague to give you a solid answer on how to deal with it but more then likely answer remain the same.

focus on nuking the scouts then whatever class is in the camp. if your running a power build scout should only take 3 hits to kill.

best way currently is probably just go dagger storm stand by scout put on staff vault couple times camp done. probably clear it in 30 seconds.

Sorry i have to correct myself for some reason i thought lotus poison was dagger training. statement is the same weakness is low CD combo with Daredevil is top tier weakness trait.

And needle trap is easy to land on people if you understand how game generate traps. trap always spawn on a 90 degree angle of whatever you are facing so you just have to do funky camera angle changes it 100% hit always.

build design is another topic overall. i am welcome to suggestion i can also upload the template i used if you guys would like to make your own to see how we can compare them.

lotus poison was rated low based on duration of poison.

shadow embrace only remove 1 con after 3 second of stealth it is worth 1 point

when it says “unblockable” it refer to the blind mech on the skill not the damage. so the shot from the pistol that hit a player will blind you but the dmg can blocked.

backstab should not be touched with any con type if anything backstab should be buff in becoming unblockable now that stealth move are not spamable but that stretching it a bit far.

please do not try to get thief nerf on adding random garbage to one of best burst skill in the game lol.

i disagree the line is far more useful then a circle like if you take needle trap you set it up a target that leap directly toward you the immo will proc at max range it make his leap miss.

i love tablet on rev : ) may not be perfect but it is only healing class i enjoy. main reason i take tablet over any other class is because it healing does not create any global effect so my allies can spam more impotent fields if they need another water field they just drop it.

normally are WvW comp only run 1 ele and 1 medic rev that all the healing we normally ever need.

if we played in a meta where it was more dps or fight desided in like 2 hits i would agree that tablet is garbage but current meta of WvW i think rev healing is fine.

i use to run a zerging melee short bow build just basically spam choking gas take whirl dodge trait easy to kill people with venom share xD probably even more effective now that you do not have to take venom share anymore.

I had no ideea Templar was a thing or that those amulets are op for spvp (except for zealots’)….and no 2, I’ve already admited that I know it’s op and that I can’t think of a decent for Ventari to cover it’s weakness in a way that doesn’t ruin it’s flavor.

For no4 that’s just personal taste, I think Ventari has the potential to become a better condi healer than Malyx,provided the devs agree with us having 2 upkeep skills with a cost over 6 …also the water field would be a nice touch to keep us competitive in terms of utility with a druid.

Based on the video for WvW I would say Ventari tops druids in terms of utility….I mean to able to heal whilist blocking projectiles…for me at least Ventari is the 2nd best class for dealing with projectiles (mesmer is 1st and guardian is 3rd).

as a reply to my own video i did math last night. in one of my video i avr 300k healing over course of a 1m and 50 second fight <3

No it doesn’t, because daredevil utilities “physicals” GET affected by improvisation. Got integrated around pvp-season one. Not sure how it works if you don’t use daredevil at all, but if you use the traitline physicals are part of the improvisation-pool.

Oh i see i tested in beta never look back but thanks for the update that may lead to some interesting build design.

main reason i suggested it that way is “thief was balanced to be more supporting of it allies” by changing that way you go from 2 boon removal to 10 every 3 seconds(4 seconds in spvp) assuming you could find a way to keep getting in to stealth. i think would be worth a grand master slot.

Change it from stealth skill to any stealth move done. and i am not sure what order boon ripping does but it should fallow sigil of aborption go in this exact order.

stability,resistance, aegis, retaliation, swiftness, might, regeneration, quickness, fury and vigor.

this would make it interesting enough to look in to a front line thief if he could share that effect to his allies.

it in current state it just another trait that never see use.

well out side of the fact that zerg did not engage in to that convex instantly wipe you. you could of chain CnD walk around in the zerg to find a target.

I don’t think it is really possible with today’s date of gw2. There a a lot more passive defence and blocks denying cnd, not to mention the amount of aoe dropped. Also people are a lot wiser since when you could chain cnd back when d/d meta was shadow arts.

On the contrary about there isn’t much left with d/d. Started playing it again and it’s actually a pretty good dueler, it struggles a bit vs ranger who know how to play or anything pew pew ish. You can toe to toe vs warriors as long as you death blossom their burst and kite with dash. Recording some fights so i will post them

i would agree with most zerg fights it unreliable to try an do it but there was so much open ground in that zerg fight you could of gotten away with it pretty effectively
