What I heard from Phantaram atleast is, that he dont even give the LB any attention since he still thinks it the same as last time. Could be why the pro players are not on top because they simply dont care.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of Rune of the Traveller and the Path of Corruption necro trait that require unlocks, neither of which are that common in the meta.Survival Ranger needs XIII traits x 2 (which are 40 skill points and 4-6g, I believe)
yea but survival ranger sucks at anything over a 1v1, its not a meta build

The only reason I can come up with as to why we’re stuck with this new system is that it gives less experienced players a chance to win the rewards at the top of the leaderboard (glorious hero’s armor, mini llama), but why should this affect the only way players have of seeing where they stand in comparison to the rest of the players?
I’m fine with having some sort of reward system that rewards hard work, but please keep this separate from the real leaderboard.
Imo new/unexperienced pvp’ers should NOT belong over better, experienced and active pvp’ers on a Leaderboard by a longshot..
Either make it back pre-December 2014 LB or as mentioned above, seperate them.

I honestly believe that nature of the system leads to a toxic community. People will be hyper-sensitive to the skill of their teammates when said teammates literally determine whether or not they get rewards for the effort they put in. New players are discouraged from joining sPvP because their presence on a team drastically affects the rewards their teammates receive.
^This. Before the major PvP changes (December, I think?) I barely saw any negative comments in a match.
This became worse with December patch, I believe.. (Solo/Team Arena being erased)

You can definitely use phase retreat to get on top of the ledges at mid on Forest now. I literally SCREAMED when it happened, because everyone knows you can only get there by blinking from a tiny point on the ramp.

Then that’s actually your fault.. Every build in Conquest should atleast have 1 condi removal and/or stunbreak.

I had this problem when I started my daughters account. As soon as she got a few AP it cleared right up.
I think the max gold you’ve found/received plays a role as well. I sent 5g to my new account and I’ve been able to send back 1g at a time to “pay it back.” Never tried sending a larger sum.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great guide. One that shows what a thief can do even though it’s not much and an engi or a guardian would have been a better help to your team. It’s sad what the thief has become because of all the nerfs.
I do agree thief is good 1v1, but it’s not good in 1v1 on a point, where the shadowsteps and stealth are useless :p. Thieves are good to +1 fights, quick decaps and other roaming..

Yeah sadly :/ the only real threat we in have spvp is the d/p panic build which is still really effective, especially when you take more immobs like devourer venom:) mix it up with quick venom you’ll have 3 reliable locks. Devourer,basi & lastly panic strike. Oh yeah dude denied that’s my favourite build currently with shadow step(need em stun breaks) n SR.
Panic strike is indeed strong.
Immobilize itself is strong and kinda.. broken? Sometimes when trying to perform a skill without target, it doesn’t work and needs u to spam it untill it does

Bountiful Theft takes one “stack” of boons it steals, so you’d only receive one stack of stability, assuming that behavior transfers.
So basically starting expansion we won’t be able to interupt stomps/rezzes/banners anymore if they’re using +2 stacks of stability?
IIRC, if you use bountiful theft on someone with 25 stacks of might, they lose all 25 stacks but you only get 1 stack (otherwise an s/d thief would be able maintain a huge number of might stacks when fighting a cele engi/ele). This would be the same with the new stability, meaning that yes you would daze your target even if it had 3+ stacks of stability.

So we know Stability will be divided in stacks, granted different amount of stacks for other skills.
We also know Trickery trait line for Thieves, offers them to Steal their Stability and Daze right after.
However, if we use the same skill (Steal) for might, we know it only rips off 1 stack of Might.
Question: Is Steal going to be nerfed this way (undirectly) by making Stability as stacks?
Steal traited can only steal 1 stack..
Basically, what I’m thinking is that this will effect Steal quite hard. Interupting “safestomps”, rezzing and healing won’t be possible anymore as I understand it.. Or will it?

And well, I personally have no idea what might be affected and what not. What counts as a horizontal teleport, and what counts as a vertical one?
Kyhlo > Mid Point > Infiltrator’s Arrow to Mid Roof > Vertical
Note how it’s more about vertical teleports, rather than horizontal teleports.
I think Phase Retreat will remain fine. Blink and Shadowstep however… :<
Just did NA for the first time today and I was actually quite shocked about the difference.
Most reactions have a noticable delay (0.2 – 0.5s) and can cost you a fight.
I wont even try Thief, just playing shoutbow so I can get carried vs the delay (lel)
I started testing staff… when I was running in EotM, in the northest wall of the blue keep area, I surprisingly phase retreated to top of a small watch tower on the wall.
Would be nice to know all blink, sword swap, and phase retreat spots in WvW and in dungeons.

If they come, the shards come in batches of 2-3 or 10. I usually don’t run with a huge zerg, but the amount of shards you get is decent enough for me (forgot exact numbers, I haven’t done this in a while, but I also haven’t shopped for shards with the karma merchant since the Silverwastes map exists). Plus, you always get a champ bag from the chests, which in my opinion makes it totally worth it (my own horrible luck with loot from champ bags notwithstanding; other people get precursors, I drown in greens…). Plus, you’ll get karma as well from any events that happen along the way, so if you do have bad luck with the chests, you can still buy the rest from the karma merchant.
You were right, made about +30 Obby Shards in like.. 1 – 2hour max, thanks for the info!
