I used P/P Rampager Engineer , i killed them both almost at the same time…the key to it was i used battering ram and flamethrower and pent him up against the wall and had my way with him

Decided to continue to try to end this misery , but of course i failed lol. What im noticing is , im going up and down and up and again down…should of cashed out when i got back to back precursors! …..this roller coaster ride continues

P.S Im completely done with using rares , i’ve failed all attempts with rares totalling over 6000 , and succeeded all attempts at exotics. Maybe then i can rest after a few 100 samples of exotics

Congrats, you’ve earned my pure, unending hatred. I’ve played for probably very close to 3000 hours, thrown everything I owned into the mystic forge 4 times (I threw every single exotic/rare I had ever owned down the MF, and then bought 400 gold worth of rares to toss in 4 times as well which totaled about 1,600 gold), and I never, ever got a single precursor. Time to play Diablo 3 where I can actually win and not be bombarded with RNG for the rest of my life. Yes, isn’t that sad that I have more luck in D3, a game that was famous for its terrible drop rates?

This is simply mind blogging , compared to you i feel like i should be named the Lucky Charm or something cause thats just insanity to have used 1600g and no PRE!

Or you don’t happen to care for a few hundred gold like me lol , im not rich by any means and nothing more i love than gold but i think i love gambling even more :o

CoF1 accounts for like ALL of the gold creation in this game. No amount of changed rewards will be an increase over CoF1.

There are 40 members in my guild who earn 70g a day from CoF1.

Theres 40 members in your guild who has no sanity left and should retire to seek help lol , theres only 24 hours in a day . To the OP yes i completely agree , this is my biggest concern with this upcoming update.

Gratz Amanda! , for me those rares are nothing but failure …ALL of my success is coming from purely exotics..only time i EVER succeeded with rares is what started this journey off and that was when i got my first colossus , from then on out i got nothing but precursors from solely exotics..

Yeah my patience always been a hindrance in games , RL im fine but in games wow..

Remember , 600g or 10g is gg for me. I Must successfully forge another precursor and do it using 450g! and Balkan you are insanely lucky with those GS man , remember i did 2k of those rare kinds and like 200 exotic GS to no avail.

Oh also the lesser known precursors like Leaf of Kudzu etc (at least for me) probably got thrown back in cause im not familiar with their names nor their prices looooll…

Even if transmutation wasn’t the case , how else would they fund all this awesome content we recieve haha!

As usual , before receiving a response from you guys since my patience is horrible i decided WHY NOT?! , found out the Ugly sticks and Megmatons are worth 6g and i had 8 of those together lol , decided to finish forging the remainder crap exotics worth 1-2g and voila! i’m the comeback man :o

I disagree, anyone playing a norn has the best escape option in the game. Snow leopard form racial elite. Hit it, stealth (#5), then use the 1600 range dash (hold down #4) and youre out of combat and they have no idea where you are and you can WP away.

I’ve sold numerous precursors and undercutting by 1 copper, 50s, a few gold can potentially screw you over and force you to relist. My worst experience was selling spark. I had to watch for 6 days as it kept getting undercut and once mine came close to being in the top 3 cheapest, 3-4 would pop out of nowhere and get listed for 10-15g cheaper at least. Ending up having to relist and eat another 30g listing fee.

My advice for anybody selling a precursor is to not be greedy and list somewhere in between the highest buy offer and lowest sell offer. If it’s a high demanded precursor like Dusk, you MIGHT be able to get away with listing it 5g cheaper then the next, but its up to you if you want to take that chance. If the highest buy offer is 500g and the cheapest sell offer is 580g, consider listing yours somewhere around 550-60g for the best possible chance at having it sell and still bringing you as much $ as possible. Otherwise, listing it at 579g 99s 99c could potentially screw you over

Aw man Balk i didnt tell you how much gold i lost in relisting those precursor i listed in my precursor thread did I? within the 7 days i got those precursor i total out at 110g relisting because i have the worst patience in the game and i always pay for it.

The skins in this game arent to appealing i also must say , but the variety in the focus category is aaammmaaazing lol , at least in my opinion :|

Here is the FOTM build for warriors currently , everyone and their mother running it even in packs of 5+. Also , you don’t really need but 1 SB , just use your immobolizes , blind , caltrops and gear shield wisely. I fought really high ranked players introducing me to the build and after getting facerolled 4x in a row , i figured it out that once they get close its time to panick and separate them quickly. Mind you i wasnt even using Pi-Stab for such a gimmicky build and still won half of them. If i ran Pi-Stab however , just lol…oh for kicks i also was running 900 toughness with 25 stacks of might via HGH

Also to you people who think that using alot of knock downs are key , you must really drag the fight out because they have ample amounts of defense , invulnerability to conditions , high hp (usually) , stability and even LOTS of repels…all of this is made possible because of 1 measly 10 pt. trait http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unsuspecting_Foe

Yesterday, 2 of our guild members got a precursor each from putting in stones wit hrandom lvl 80 rares. So some more guildies tried and also got lucky. In the end, we got 9 pre cursors. And i think about 20 people tried this method, using up 40 to 100 mystic stones.

I got the Colossus on my 5th try. Since i still had so much rare weapons left, i kept dunking them in until my 100 stones were gone. No other pre cursor dropped for me but all the exotics that dropped gave me more gold back than i initially paid to get the rares.

Those stones are lucrative imo , i recently looked at how to get more and its just not worth it to buy them off thee BLTC

For the person who recommended removing it from goggles and placing it on elixir R , you do realize that takes away the ONLY sb on SD and also pigeon holes us like no tomorrow , lose/lose.

I just bought a bunch of lv 80 rare staves and it came out 5-6th try. Dusk didnt come easy though. I was having doubts on whether or not I was going to get it but after buying 1 last batch of 50 or so greatswords, it came out on the first try.

I didnt use anything specific really, but I’ve always bought only lv 80 and the cheapest. Ended up driving the price up for pretty much every rare greatsword because I was buying bulk of 50 for a good hour lol.

Honestly, I was just wildly gambling last night. I should have stopped after getting the legend, but I just had to test my luck. Had I not gotten dusk, I probably wouldnt have been able to afford the listing fee for the legend. I woulda kept buying and buying and buying until i became one of those poor souls who have spent 500+ gold gambling for dusk.

Anyway, no more mystic forge for me. My gambling desires have been fulfilled

I got 400g left lets see if i can make a turn around ….

I dont use stones. They randomize it and you very well could get anything. This includes underwater precursors, offhands, torches etc. I only use 4 of the same weapon type + rarity

Also, to the OP. I got the legend + dusk last night. 20g for legend, 250g~ for dusk

Well its safe to say from the responses that the Engineer is overall weakest class in the game , hopefully it stays this way

My only problem now with this journey is , im out of stones so i lose that vital back up plan and get this…the only way i’ve obtained precursors is via those stones..

Decided since im so poor i might aswell use those useless stones right?..well i bounced back to a limited degreee! screenshot has the items i bought , only had enough to buy about 50 of them.

Now i have The Hunter was actually the purpose of me doing all this , i wanted to get 1 more precursor when i had 700 ish gold and buy the hunter with it and still have a nice lump sum since all the other pieces of my legendary is done! but by now i think we all know whats going to happen to this precursor lol

Well this was my sole purpose when creating this thread , to documents all my actions in my rise and fall (the little details) . Expecting no ridicule is quite naive of me , so when i created this thread I was fully aware of what to expect lol.

Bought 1k more GS and 500 more hammers all failed , tried to forge over 170 exotics to no avail , went from 60g to 500g up to 800g down to 400g and back down again to 60..hmmm no one told me precursors are that hard to get lol..oh well im sittin on this measly 60g for a sec till i get the urge to try a small sample…

If we lack one thing that is a REAL ranged weapon aside from granades.
Sure I can increase the range of the rifle but does that help the overall damage capability of the rifle? Not that much as most of the rifle is more shotgun oriented and more CC.
What has the warrior? The rifle with 1200 range on most skills. The ranger? Well bows?!
Even the guardian’s got quite some range with their dinky scepter but the way to deal good damage with the engineer is to go up close and personal or use granades(which can get annoying after a while).
Pistole might be fine but still doesn’t have that much range and people could kite you(which is unlikely as a good engineer will get to you easily…but it could still happen).
Maybe we’ll be getting a real ranged weapon that isn’t granades but as of now that I’d say is our main weakness aside from our not so perfect invention tree. Damage is alright, if you wanted you could go hybrid and survivability is up the roof. I played a necro before creating my engineer and my things to survive were DS(which is strong don’t get me wrong) and 2 dodges.
As an engineer I got seemingly endless vigor, TONS of cc, mobility to get away and some nice condition removal on top of good survival traits in most cookie cutter builds.

I agree with you completely , an engineer from far back isnt truly viable as we could be.

Hmm you guys clearly don’t use all the tools at your disposal at optimum times lol ..the amount of mitigation we have is insane , that dodge button isnt there to open a fight you know lol..how many kitten times have i seen that button not used or used randomly.

If you REQUIRE toughness then you definitely aren’t playing the engineer properly , you can run with 2k def and it wreck , and our Invention tree is lackluster at best…doesn’t matter how many tpvp matches you won..that statement along holds more weight than not. Far as i ever require in the toughness tree is 10-20 points and thats ONLY in my bunker builds rest is spread for speedy kits occasional incen powder and lower cds..

the later..and remember i only desire Dusk cause of its price tag..
