It is affected by chill and cripple, look into it!
The leap I mean ofc
I think druid staff should get a boost then as well. Im not hitting above 1k either.
Try it on marauder with 25 stacks of might, more DPS than longbow 2
Could we at least get a buff on the damage? Often times the hits on the autoattack don’t surpass 1k, while Rev sword – even post nerf – is quicker and hits at least twice as hard.
It’s a huge balance issue right now yeah
Before you make this go through, realize that 7s of Vigor is worthless for three huge reasons:
1. It’s already been nerfed to 50% ER increase
2. More boonstrip in the game
3. It takes the full 7s to get about a third of the 50 endurance it used to give
If you account for weakness – and there’s plenty of it – it’s even kittentier!
Just make it give 20-30 endurance instead of 50
Non-crit damage is directly proportional to power.
No, it isn’t. It takes power greatly into account but there base damage for any skill, and for some professions this base damage value is higher. This means that you need less power to achieve the same results of a class with a higher power setup.
For example, Guardians would greatly benefit from all stats but you won’t ever see, for example, a meditation Cele because the damage is too lackluster. Compare that to what cele engi and ele were.
This is the main reason why DD Eles (and Engis prior to June 23rd) were so frustrating prior to HoT… I’d like to add however that not all classes have strong base damage i.e. non DH Guardians, Thieves, non Druid Rangers, etc. I suppose it’s overlooked because it evens out with more stat focused amulets such as Marauder.
It wasn’t intentional but they had to quit
Bunker meta faceroll kitten so tired of it
Currently, the effect is
“Nearby allies gain toughness based on your effective level.”
It would see a lot more use if it was changed to
“Nearby allies gain vitality based on your effective level.”
(Granted it does already see some use because all the Majors in the line are subpar)
Thoughts?

Before you say, “JUST ADD A SPLIT IT’S THAT EASY” well not really.
But we had that split
It was easy and simple
And most of all fun
In the history of this forum I believe this to be a first. Please develop your theory as it is tickling my curiosity!
Aoe Distortion on first pulse, stability on use and on remaining pulses.
You can actually see what’s happening! AMAZING!

As Firebird.8324 mentioned, we just didn’t see it!

People just take this and spam it everywhere as responses to this type of post.
Here is the scary part… they announced that they have a team who only has the job of balancing. I wonder what they do all day.

Oh yes it was fun. Lots of fun. Map’s name was “Raid on the Capricorn”!
EDIT:
There used to be a water testing area in Heart of the Mists, just below the hill under the profession dummies. That huge gate used to be open for anyone to enter.
Wings of Resolve – among other effects, heals for 3,9k on Marauder and has a leap range of 800.
With Absolute Resolution, the healing drops to 1,6k and the leap range – not just tooltip – is reduced to 600. In beta it wasn’t like this.
Please hotfix this. And fix the whole way Virtues interacts with DH Virtues. Sad it hasn’t been dealt with prior to release.
I’ve played about 5,000 games as Guardian and after playing DH for a couple hours I can say the following:
Hammer- was in a coma after 23rd patch, 29th patch unplugged its life support. Revert JI nerf and place the freaking Hammer trait in Zeal
Shield of Courage – make it instant and reduce the CD to 50 seconds
Wings of Resolve – I’m ok with it having a cast time because it’s an actual attack and not just an effect skill, but it should be a leap finisher because, well… it “leap(s) to a target area”
Longbow – reduce cooldown of Hunter Ward to 40 seconds and its cast time by .5; increase the size of deflecting shot by 25% and make it reflect shots OR slow it down
Traps – sigh make them targetable or at least placeable on target within, say, 900 range. I understand you’d be making them similar to wells but in their current form they are garbage and will never be used outside of maybe niche damage builds in PvE
Guise ur supposed 2 choose from 1-4 ok?
Thanks for leaving Guardian druid out. #BunkersMatterToo

What kind of Druid are you going to be?
1-Restoration
2-Feral
3-Balance
4-Guardian
Will update regularly!
Edit: Added Guardian druid
(edited by Tontonino.9736)
This one ranks really high up there in terms of memorable GW2 plays, right along Teldo 1v2’ing far during the EU PAX qualifiers. In some ways this one is actually more impressive because it is about team coordination, whereas Teldo’s heroics were about individual skill. Epic stuff, no question about it.
Where can I find this footage?
Well, why not add defensive stats after a burn scaling fix? I mean if you really think about it, once burn is out of the picture there aren’t many other conditions that make you go bananas (maybe 10+ stacks of confusion). I do think bleeding needs a buff in both the base damage and scaling department. Some condi specs no longer exist because they don’t have burning or easily applied confusion (condi necro, warr).
Edit: Buff torment as well
All that can use burn
Reduce amount of condition damage and increase tough vitality and healing, enough to make these builds less bursty and more attrition oriented
All of this is too long could someone summarize please
The OP said he feels frustrated because he thinks he isn’t improving because he’s losing some matches feeling he’s not useful enough and getting paired with possibly higher MMR players (I guess this is a decent TL;DR).
I answered him that it apparently happens “thanks” to many factors, listing 5: the queue system, player’s attitude and bias, the “curbstomping”, F2P player’s influx and the Metagame.
Is this summarized enough for you? :P
Yeah thanks bruh
Best advices to OP I can give:
1. burst or land crucial sprlls/skills after a dodge, meaning WAIT for the Dodge until it’s over then attack. Seldom do players double dodge.
2. Pick your fights, learn to leave BEFORE things grt out of hand.
3. Learn enemy spells and the way each profession cam burst you and avoid accordingly (I.e. if a guard gs pulls you, wait for whirling wrath and elixir s); proper dodges can win you 2v1s but there is no such thing as a proper dodge unless you successfully avoid big CDs
All of this is too long could someone summarize please
However, reapers are still tanky as kitten. It’s not because of this glitch, otherwise ALL necros would have been considered invincible
While we’re at it, has anyone mentioned the light post mansion? If you sit on top of the bush and into the corner of the base and hit the lightpost you will gain life force. There are a few other non-destructible points that do this!
Then I say increase it to $1,000,000.00.
I don’t think that would make much different, 50000 is still a freaking huge amount of money FOR PLAYING A GAME.
Oh, yes it would. At the end each player gets a little more than $10k if I’m not mistaken. That seriously isn’t much. Consider the amount of time it takes to prepare for the tournament. Of course it’s a game, but it’s also about time dedicated. And marketing IMO. This game has none of it. The HoT marketing is a complete joke.
I mean $50,000.00 is relatively low considering the amount of effort it takes for the players to be consistent in a team. And that is the TOTAL share
Make that kitten $200,000.00 and watch how many players will drool over that. I mean… We DO see the same. kittening. teams. every. year. The meta might change, but the play style is essentially the same.
Doing this along with HoT release would have been great. Many players out there are interested in competitive PvP, and this game could certainly offer a high level of it if it was maintained better in general and if there was a better reward for the highest level of PvP.
But hey, since lots of aspects have actually gotten worse over the past 2 years I suspect they’ll just let it ride out and rot after HoT
With carrion it’ll see some viability in the burst department, a little like the full burn build. I don’t expect it to actually be viable but it’ll serve well in 5v5 or more fights
He is working for NCSoft, though in response to someone asking him about which games he’ll be working for he said “Me too! All games except ArenaNet ones (GW/GW2)”
topkek
Traps and Runes of the Trapper
stronkest build inc hybrid trapper master stealth speed
wow
And please tell me which [viable] builds would see good use out of going full Radiance in its current state outside of Burn.
Lots of builds. Rad has only become better since the patch, not worse and it was a staple line prior to the patch as well.
The number of viable builds that exist using Radiance now isn’t going to go up by making a change to an Adept trait based on a single weapon, especially considering your whole argument is based on the fact that Radiance is a ‘bad’ traitline because it’s GM’s are not good.
The sword adept is inline with the other weapon-specific traits and probably one of the better ones as well. If the line is bad because GM traits aren’t good, wouldn’t it make more sense to address the GM traits instead?
Yeah, I believe the GM’s in Radiance aside from AW are absolute crap. That’s why I mentioned switching PI and Sword trait, or perhaps at this point a more 1-hander focused GM. I believe it’d be more appealing.
lol, Radiant Fire is an AMAZING trait in pvp, saying something like “what builds outside of burn even use Radiance” is like saying “what builds outside of power even uses Zeal”
you don’t get to discount burn builds when right now it is arguably the most powerful guardian build.
Yeah, Burn Guard is silly fun right now I have probably used it more than any build. You shouldn’t ignore the fact that Power has a ton of Build variation, meaning you can use essentially any traitline to get a differing degree of a power build. Condition really only goes on way, even weapon wise.
I have yet to test something in which I pick the Radiance line over anything else aside from Condi. And I suppose I’m kitten because I really want to merge in a sort of buffed sword into a proper power build!
isnt Avenging wrath a paladin skill in wow? I thought AW stood for Amplified Wrrath.
Had a colossal brainfart, fix’d.
I could be changed but your statement that it has no real use for most builds is not credible. Additionally, how does buffing a weapon specific trait make Radiance a more useful traitline for more builds? I don’t see how it does.
It seems you’re more wanting sword to be better and looking for a reason to have it buffed.
If Radiance should be changed, I can’t see it being done because it has no real use for most builds.
Well, I do want sword to be better because it is lackluster when it comes to sticking to target. And pre-patch, this traitline was used ONLY to go full burst with one handers. Perhaps it could boost both scepter and sword.
And please tell me which [viable] builds would see good use out of going full Radiance in its current state outside of Burn.
