Solution: Stop spending gold. Write down things that you impulsively want to buy and the date you discovered the item. Wait 1 week, if you still want that item, buy it.
Edit: I see people talking about his gold earning rate. This is besides the point the OP made. Their problem is not earning gold. Their problem is the lack of restraint when posed with an impulse desire.

The OP is talking about mail messages. I agree, when I stream my giveaways I normally have to wait five minutes in between gifts because I get suppressed during sending. Sometimes I have to send each person in my party a dungeon potion but, since I can only send two messages before being suppressed, I have to wait.
I understand the flood control is set in place to combat gold sellers / spammers but I feel the current mechanics in place are incredibly draconian. Punishing the main player base for something a very small amount of people commit.
Active in the sense of standing still and healing through the damage?

I doubt you will have any action taken against your account. There was this guy who stole peoples instances for like 5 months straight and only got a 3 day temp ban after the whole thing.

I would recommend tuning into my stream on Saturdays at 11AM EST. I normally do 3-4 hours of Silverwastes farm. You can use this time to study how I use meta builds to complete the content with reasonable ease. Who knows maybe we both will learn something new
I’m a little late to the party. Did anyone previously suggest that Ascended Armor only offers like a 1% increase? Ascended weapons by far are worth more of your time than the armor. Just think of Ascended Armor as your “progression”
One thing I don’t want implemented is something similar to the mail suppression mechanic. In order to combat gold sellers or spammers, the normal player is hurt by the 2 messages per some time method. When I do giveaways on my stream or need to mail more than 2 people in a short period of time, I do not like being suppressed. This type of overarching suppression to mitigate potential abusers is draconic IMO.

By take care do you mean slap on the wrist like it seems they have done to those who they’ve “taken care of”?

This thread is not about discussing potential repercussions to said actions. The people who maintain this game make the rules and we can only abide by them. If they feel a temporary 3 day ban is sufficient, who am I to say otherwise?

If the above don’t suit your fancy, run dungeons. The end reward gives a minimum of 1g per path. It adds up quickly.
And last but not least, farm farm farm Silverwastes. Do events to get crests, use crests to buy keys, use keys to open chests. If you are lucky, you will get plenty of rares you can salvage for ecto’s that you can sell on the TP (Don’t salvage rares that can sell on the TP for more than an ecto ~30-40silver)

I find it funny that all the arguments are off topic. The OP was asking if something of this nature can be reported. In reality anything can be reported but I doubt anything will be done about this situation.

I would create a ticket and give them (Anet Support Staff) all the material you have on this matter. They totally griefed you and you have the right to report them to the authorities. Just be sure next time that all members of the party are ok with you watching the cutscene because it is not always everyone’s first time in a story mode dungeon.
PS. I know it’s lame but when dealing with others you can never be too careful.
This is not an issue with running the same path multiple times. It is an issue with running distinct paths only once a day. If you watched the video you would see that the number of tokens awarded is inconsistent with the DR model currently in place.

Reducing mob health will only make the Meta groups kill faster which would still keep it more viable than anything else.
Not if you increase NPC armor to reach the same levels of effective hp.
If NPC armor is raised then meta groups will have slower kill times but nonmeta groups will still have poor dps resulting in even slower kill times. That would not change the meta, only make nonmeta builds that much worse.

Nonmeta group 5k dps
Lets cut the dps in half to simulate extra armor on mobs shall we ?

Which one will get faster kill times?
We just have to accept the fact that no matter what the devs do in this game, there will ALWAYS be the “best” way to build/gear your character.

I wouldn’t say it is worthless because that particular build has a use in PvP. I think it would be better to say that on the build scale from clerics to berserkers (lowest dps but max support to highest dps to lowest support) Shaman gear in tandem with any trait distribution falls short of providing the necessary group buffs such as Might, Fury and Vuln.

Berserker is not a build, it is a gear choice. Your build is defined by the traits you choose. The sooner you realize this the sooner you will find that there is no problem.
In a tour last night we froze him with Ice Bow and he wasn’t in the middle where he normally is. We just figured we froze him while he was doing his little spin move.

Not really. Mob Damage is high enough that you have to dodge the big attacks regardless of gear.

The only 5 man zerk that is impressive are the ones setting speed records for a dungeon. Aside from that, zerk is low skill play.

What we see here in these videos is that content is balanced in such a way that any gear type can complete the content.
What we have here is people who think absorbing damage is not rewarding enough (with which I agree, learning active defense is the most rewarding thing in this game) and think that their “toughness” or “vitality” should contribute to their overall damage which is just absurd.

“there is no problem to fix” yeah maybe that is why we are always getting class balance updates every few months. Because everything was perfect 2.5 years ago and needed no change. It is obviously the opposite. The devs saw the problem and are always moving away from the zerker easy mode in new content and updates. New bosses that you can’t do critical hits, some bosses with more armor, etc…

Actually what some of us want is for PVE balance to be as important to the developers as SPVP seems to be.

They told us early on that they would be separating the PVP PVE balance patches so as to prevent things like nerfing classes in PVE from happening. That’s not what’s happened here.

you just have to give players choices multiple choices and allow them to work, that’s not what’s happening here, they’ve given us alot of choices but made most of them completely useless in the field when fighting champs and bosses and that’s where the phrase dumbing down applies.
I disagree with this. Aside from a few bosses that negate reflects or blocks, the players still have plenty of choices depending on the game mode you are playing.

I will second this.
Active play should be a part of every archetype regardless if you are bunker or not. The difference is the active play methods that come into play.
The only things that really comes close is playing a bunker on point is sPvP, that is what bunker should be doing in PvE, not just some training wheels, but an actual tactical choice of engagement.
Bunkers in PVP have one role, to stay alive and stall the enemy team until help arrives to help them. That’s their main purpose and they spec for defense because they need to hold points. Holding an objective can be used in certain pve encounters, but can’t be used everywhere and for all boss encounters.
I would like to see it used in a method akin to shooters like Gears of War or Army of Two where the bunker is used as an advancing bulwark to provide a better combat position outside of point defense.
Guild Wars 2 even though an MMORPG borrows heavily from these types of games, the fact that you can swing wildly at nothing, the type of acrobatics you can achieve on legacy of foefire, the fact that DOWNSTATE is straight out of these games like borderlands, gears of war, etc. GW2 needs another push into the action direction and bunker setups can fit very nicely in the picture as the “heavy” of a squad setup.
You still aren’t understanding that boss encounters define how you play. PvP encounters require a bunker to absorb tons of dmg. There are no PvE encounters that require a player to absorb tons of dmg since large wind up attacks are telegraphed and dodgeable. What you really want is an encounter that requires a tanky player to absorb damage. Unfortunately for you, that will never happen in this game as “defined roles” are non existent.
Not unless they wanted to only run PS War exclusively :P

What do you mean “make a phalanx warrior”? You can change your build at any time so there is no need to create an entirely new character that specifically runs this build.
When I think of group compositions I think of mainly three things: Might, Fury, Vuln. As long as your comp can supply 25 stacks of Might and Vuln and keep Fury up, then everything else is just a nice bonus.
This is a good start. As Thaddeus said, people normally test their rotations over a set period of time (10s to simulate a quick fight, 30s for long fights) and calculate damage coefficients.
