The meta is changing at an alarming rate!
I thought this thread was about burn zerkers?
Derevi, you are not considering the value of the tokens you receive at the end of the dungeon. These are worth a decent amount AND if you have a dungeon specific recipe, you will make a small fortune.
Dungeons are now more in line with rewards as you see them in the rest of the game.
Actually if u have dungeon recipes u can still make a lot of money running dungeons.
Everyone basically ignored the only reasonable post in this thread.
The short dungeons are still WAY worth it.
CM: if everyone knows what they are doing.
TA: Forward, Up
SE: 1, 3
CoF:1, (3 if people know how)
Arah: 2 (1, 3 if people know how)
IF you have a recipe for any of the above dungeons you WILL make a pretty penny from converting tokens into jewelry. Dungeon rewards aren’t broken so stop trying to suggest “fixes”. This is the new normal.
If you really want gold, flax farm gg.
How’s the ez mode going? :P
Why bother with a DPS check?
Because I don’t want to play with YOU in my group!
Edit If it can be beaten by a full bear bow team, I look forward to seeing your Day 1 Kill Video of the Vale Guardian… Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
It’s funny to watch people complain about imaginary points.
I say trust because I doubt any one posting on this forum has a degree in economics as well as numerous years of industry experience in conjunction with the massive amount of data Anet collects on the economy. So until one of you are hired by Anet to balance the economy, I will TRUST John Smith with any decision he makes.
It is doubled if you have the mastery for it AND cumulative after new raids are released. If you want to have more gold quickly, buy gems and convert them as intended.
Even if people get their weekly rewards, they can always raid a second night on an alt to get more practice in a different role. Anyone so selfish that they won’t raid a second night per week to help guildies get it done is probably not worth raiding with in the first place.
That is really dependent on how much of a time investment raids really are. If a raid takes hours to complete or requires constant wipes to practice (which they probably should), then that 11th, 12th, etc person will probably be SOL, regardless of their skill as a raid. That is the simple truth of fixed number raiding (not taking a stance either way – just pointing out the math of it).
I wouldn’t be surprised if you have wiggle room to swap people in and out throughout the week. The time investment is only as long as it takes you to learn the encounter(s) so the # of wipes is highly variable to each team.
There is literally no point in doing the higher levels except once for the achievement.
Well it’s about personnal achievement, and I’m pretty happy with my Golden Fractal Greatsword
Well I am sitting for 21min in lfg now for 89+ and only 1 person joined. Already asked guild and friendlist. Noone wants to do this…
Some quote about how it’s lonely at the top…
Have you ever heard of a developer actively dissuading players from playing established and functional content? Its unprecedented, at least to me.
Is the intention to deincentivize dungeons?
Yes
This is kinda taken out of context. Dungeons were heavy on rewards relative to other gold generating activities in the game (example SilverWastes). Granted, I feel the reward nerf was a bit heavy handed, it served a real purpose of curbing the gold generation in the game.
Only John Smith and his associates have the real data to back up their actions so we should trust that he is a capable economist and trust that his actions WILL benefit the health of the economy as well as the overall game.
Each instance is a unique random roll so it is entirely possible to play the game until it is taken offline and never receive a rare drop. (Rare as in uncommon not item rarity)
Thanks for not running the shards, it opens up a market for us filthy Fractal Sellers as the population that runs fractals dwindles.
The purpose of dungeons is to provide instanced content that allows you to play with up to 4 other players. Anything else is extra and you are not entitled to anything extra.
Lol chill, this is a non game breaking bug. Why do’t you just write down on a piece of paper that you got the achievement.
Cliffside hammer still bugged which is funny because I knew without even checking the patch notes that they wouldn’t have fixed it and they never will.
Probably have someone in your group with kits holding the hammer and swapping kits. I’ve never had the hammer disappear ever.
I guess they just forgot about it. Only way to get it implemented will be to annoy them as long as needed.
However, at the moment there are no incentives to keep doing high level fracts as soon as you got your achievement. So, basically you can pull the infusions out and replace with +7 ones and add your old infusions back when you are done with lvl 100.
This is probably the smartest thing on the forums at the moment.
Not going to lie, when put like that, it does make me feel ignorant.
People don’t know what they want. Most the time they are fickle and wont even decide, then get mad at whatever is given to them.
Looks like you need some Tequila for all that salt.
No new dungeons will be released. New fractal content is a possibility but no word yet. Give them time… they just spent 1+ years creating HoT.
I got a armor box from bloom the other day.
Welcome to capitalism bro.
Heh, says the arm chair game developer
You guys make playing this game a chore.
Lol, this “claim” was an offhand remark that was said sarcastically. Quit taking every thing they say so literally.
I can’t believe we have like 3 pages useless text that gets us nowhere. We just have to accept that ascended is better and move on.
checkmate???? kappa
Probably false. There has been no official announcement regarding a special title for people who reach FotM personal lvl 50 before HoT is released.
Sooooo What… the raid fix nerf this guy into the ground? I’m going to be SERIOUSLY disappointed if that is the case…
Maybe you should try it yourself before thinking it was nerfed.
Ummmmmm no one beat it before the raid shutdown, even the ones that didn’t DC and actually got to fight the Vale Guardian in full fights… now everyone and their brother is beating it lolololol CLEARLY SOMETHING changed…
Also on a side note… if anyone (not the person I am quoting) is going to sit here and try and say Sinisters isn’t the zerk of condi then you are delusional…
Other side note congratulations on beating the first MINI boss…
Lol why so salty?
The entitlement in this thread is to darn high!
No, and probably
It happens sometimes. Just accept it and move on.
No no you are still misunderstanding. The page was edited to remove the leaderboard and replaced to display an insulting conspiracy theory and a link to an offensive video. It wasnt up for long though.
Very curious how the whole of DnT seems to not know what happened on their own site.
Oh I see. Well our website is maintained by several people that are not in the GW2 branch so it isn’t unreasonable that the website changes without our knowledge. And since it “wasn’t up for long” it is entirely possible that very few people in DnT actually saw the video.
Edit
I am not trying to justify what happen but rather explain the events.

…snip…
You are obviously unaware or claiming to be unaware of what that page was edited to show shortly afterwards. It required a direct link to view but it was quite an amusing immature response to the community decision.
Ahh now I understand. This issue is actually my fault. During the creation of the records page, the top navigation bar on our website was full. All options stretched across the width of the screen completely so adding a new item would mess with the formatting. Our forum admin is picky with styling so I did not add a “Records” link until I had discussed with him how to proceed. Therefore, the only way to view the page was through a direct link.
Thats fair enough. But would anyone like to comment on the record page after the community agreed to let Weth host records?
I have no idea who was actually responsible for that. But it was a great eye opener for those who were more on the fence about certain DnT member attitudes. Unfortunately it got removed fairly fast after discovery. I assume to prevent mass public outrage.
After Weth’s first iteration of the records module on gw2dungeons, I personally deleted the page from our forums seeing as it was no longer the “official” records board (not implying the DnT records page was official in any capacity). The only reason it was up during the interim was because people were still submitting records while Weth was developing the website.
Edit
I cannot comment on other people’s attitudes though. There has always been some animosity even before the records page went up. It’s just what happens when people are in a competitive environment.
They will be in the new expansion so sit tight.
To clarify and FWIW, it was me, Brazil, Timlankey, and our forum admin who set up and maintained the records page. Nike literally had no input on the matter. In general, if someone doesn’t take the initiative to create and maintain something, it doesn’t normally get done (an example is PvE tournaments).
Lol price dictated by supply and demand? Maybe if software was a limited resource but it isn’t (human labor is more plentiful than ever). The expansion’s price is probably set by NCSoft and not ANet. If you feel it is too expensive, don’t buy and quit crying on the forums.
Please form your thoughts and ideas into complete sentences.
No one is forcing anyone to buy the game… if it is “too expensive”, don’t buy it. It is literally as simple as that.
I like option A. Even if poor records are set, they can be beaten with a little effort. Resetting after every change would likely burn out the record setters. I would like to see more details about option C.
its ok at least you didnt lose your fractal level
+1 RIP nvr5get
We need guild halls first…
I saw Strife’s post and shed a tear. Never5get
No… That’s the fun for players who like to DPS. Believe it or not, all those players in other MMOs who run tanks, healers and CC masters…? Some of them actually enjoy THAT and GW2 basically takes a big dump on those customers at every turn.
If only anet had told us that the game would have active combat. If only they told us ahead of time all characters would be DPS. If only they told us ahead of launch that there would not be any dedicated “tanks, healers and CC masters.”
If only.
OH WAIT..

Please reply with apologies only.
This needs to be quoted like a billion times.
sigh /15 chars…..
