I get this error even if I grant all permissions to “awesomium_process.exe” in windows firewall. There was a thread about it in this forum, some ppl wrote about granting permissions to this process may get it work. But even if I disable my software firewall(windows) completely, it doesn’t work. What should I do ? Is there any ports to forward/allow ? Or is it a bug of the trading post ?

A greatsword with direct damage based(power) ranged aoe skills. You know liadri the concealing dark’s aoe attacks, it would be just like this. Black particles with green columns will fall from the sky.

Actually I don’t understand you, why don’t you want new tiers ? Why will you play this game after completing a full ascended set ? A new goal always keeps players playing.
There’s not many goals in this game to achieve, and feed a player’s ego. Yes we have a rank system in wvw and pvp, but who knows and sees your rank ? So there should be some competitive and effort-requiring goals to get into the front of other players. This is why I always support new goals, rank systems, and better items. Don’t forget this is an mmorpg, not a pointless fps or moba game. If you can’t find a goal to achieve in the game, you get easily bored.

No stomp option for necro is perfect, i wouldn’t spend my elite skill for one stomp.
Best option is spending 30 trait point at soul reaping for 3s stability of ds, but it’s just a waste of 30 traits if you’re conditionmancer. they have to move this stability trait to adept tier of death magic or blood magic trait lines. Because these trait lines are commonly used among builds.

25 stack limit isn’t the problem, the problem it causes is not getting loot/reward with condition builds in crowded events and areas. They have to find a solution for this in pve, so we can get our loot/reward even if we can’t deal enough dot damage due to 25 stack limit. (ofc we’ll still try to deal damage to the boss, but if we can’t deal dot due to the stack limit, it’ll still reward us with loot.)

Legendaries shouldn’t be tradeable. If someone buys 2000 gold from 3rd party then buys it instantly without effort, i consider this as a cheat. If we spend 2-3 months of effort for a legendary, they have to spend too. And no, anet doesn’t ban gold buyers (i know ppl who bought legendaries with gold from 3rd party and they never get banned) so don’t convince yourself. Ascendeds are in better situation, at least they require some work but it’s still gold oriented, which is buyable with 3rd party game money. Best items in game should require some serious effort to craft, not only gold. With this way, they can prevent great percentage of gold sellers. Non-sellable account bound crafting materials obtained via “only” player effort are the way.

wxp shouldn’t be that important but we need more action and fights in wvw.
ramming tower gates all day long just to get the server in a better place really bore many players.
better and successful fights, more kills should lead a server to top of the ladder instead of night capping towers and keeps. current system just tells you not to fight, tells you to just run between objectives to cap/defend.(you may get some action if there’s enemies) well, like other mmorpgs pk fights and fun needs to be on top of the list.
not many ppl want to choose boring pvd game style. pvp fights are always more enjoyable. so i mean sieges/castles needs to have less importance and there should be more pvp action. 85% of the time you spend in wvw is just walking and pvd.

started getting overused after a buff? hell no, organised groups are using it since the very beginning.

you’re getting stunned by a static field? well, use your stunbreak. if you dont have 1 youre doin something wrong. the only class which has problems with stunbreaks is a necromancer, but well, they can just go plagueform and then they’ll be fine. i’ve never heard of a ranged player complaining about getting chaincc’d by a meleetrain. Why? Because they know that if they are, they failed horribly.

whats way more deadly than a stun is immobilize IMO. there is no JUSTIGNOREIT tool for conditions

you are right, but this isn’t what i’m trying to say. for example i’m playing necro as my main, and i never enter in an enemy cc train, i just range aoe/fear them from a safe distance. the problem is we have to just play like that, there’s no another good option for classes. for example a necro,ele,mesmer,ranger can use melee weapons like dagger,axe,sword,gs etc., but would you use them in a such cc train ? i’m not complaining about cc train as a ranged player, the problem is cc train obligates you to play as ranged only. you are obligated to use only one build to counter or be a part of the cc chain. i mean there should be more options and builds in wvw for all classes. i just want to see more build/fight options among monotone wvw builds.

There should be immunity to CC after the effect has wore off. The problem is not fighting against say 1 hammer. It is the fact that multiple hammers can keep someone stunned/ knocked down indefinitely long after someone has used all available stun breakers.

There is already such immunity. It is called stability, read the post above you again

I am talking about actual immunity.
Example: “You have recently been affected by a stun you are immune to stuns for 5 seconds” or whatever…make it a wxp ability with a very high cost.

As some one mentioned above CC has no diminishing returns. Perhaps this should be addressed.

The thing with CC trains is that they are very powerful and effective but also very easy to accomplish.

Oh and AC’s. Imo any siege weapon that has shot that can pass through terrain is just a joke and need removing from the game.

you got my point. this is what i’m trying to say. to prevent cc train in a zerg you get short duration stability after being knocked down, stunned, feared etc. by this way a player won’t get more cc than intended. the problem isn’t cc, the problem is ppl just make cc oriented builds in order to win in wvw. so it becomes overused and overused. it’s not a problem to get knocked down by a player, but if it’s spammed by the zerg repeatedly it ruins the fun of fights imo.

It’s not about necros, it’s about condition builds. I prefer to use condition build on my every alt.(warrior, thief etc.) since I hate direct damage skills. I’ve given necro example bcos necros are mostly condition oriented and don’t have enough direct damage or mobility to avoid condi-invulnerability. I can kite a warrior with a thief/mesmer till the buff disappears, but you can’t do this with a condi necro.(necro doesn’t have leap or 1200 range movement skills) I don’t want any build to be op, I just want the balance. ppl opened so much threads in necro forum about op conditions, it’s ok necro is nerfed. But it’s time for warrior invulnerability now. Maybe they can make fear cc to pass through this buff to avoid an undead warrior.

Kite a warrior for 8 seconds, yes they can. A low skilled Necro can not, while a high-skilled one can, speaking form experience. If facing a Mace+GS build(or most direct builds) then it will be much harder to live compared to condi warrior.

I was talking about gs + mace/shield builds. a skilled warrior can easily rush to a slow class like necro. The main problem is, it prevents condition based ccs, so it makes a rush warrior unstoppable against a condition build. This stance is a defensive countermeasure, but in spvp it’s used as offensive invulnerability. This is why I say condition based ccs should pass through this buff. Taking no damage from conditions is more than enough.

and all i can say is if u are getting hit by a hammerstun while being ranged, your positioning is flawed. ofc, if youre the mindless zergling running in that group of melee’s spamming things, you’ll get hit by that. but usually, good mesmers, eles and necros (not in plague) avoid the meleecombat and spam their aoe from the sides.

if you problems with stability as a melee, your doin something wrong, there are plenty of stability skills, even some aoe stability ones, use them.

as for ac’s, i agree.

ppl use hammers since months, yes. but it started to be overused after the class buffs 1-2 months ago. Now, it’s not about just using hammer as a preference, it’s an obligation for cc train. The problem isn’t only hammers, hammer is just a bold example for nowadays. ranged classes can easily be stunned from range with an ele lightning field then the hammer train can easily bash your heads. If an ele’s main role in raids and zerg fights is using lightning field, a warrior’s main role is using hammer to cc, a guardian’s role is to use wall/bubble etc., necro’s role is using fear, then there’s something wrong. I mean it’s not about classes, it’s about cc’s importance and popularity nowadays. cc train(i mean repeatedly usage of ccs from multiple players) in massive fights can be annoying, and prevents players to fight properly.

Everytime skyhammer comes half of the players quit the server.
In general, cannon/trebuchet etc. in spvp is also annoying and should be removed.

Have you all forgotten that ACs were recently buffed to their current levels?
Acs are exactly as powerful as Anet decided they should be in a very recent revamping so that won’t change.

As for Mesmers and Stabilty in a zerg – lol! what’s a Mesmer doing in the middle? Run around the edges you kitten. Don’t stand in the fire!
Your job is to pull suckers from the zerg, kite them around a bit, then kill them.

I know, they’ve added ac mastery which is a buff for acs. imo the game needs vice versa. acs have to be nerfed in order to decrease ac popularity in wvw and encourage players to fight with class-based skills. Currently many servers use this tactic, they kite enemy zerg to a tower then fire their 20 acs in the tower… or at least they do this while defending their tower etc.. imo this is not fun and can’t be compared to the fun of infantry vs infantry fights. ac should stay in wvw, but not with this prominence.

Or just use stability before they hit you with their CC, and stun breaks followed by dodging if you do get hit.

Agreed about siege though.

Some classes don’t have enough stability options. Sure, we can make a stability/stun breaker build in order to prevent some of the ccs, but why do we need to play specifically just to deal or avoid ccs, instead of more enjoyable pvp fights with a freedom of build choice ? I mean there should be more options to enjoy zerg fights other than cc trains. Too much cc+multi target damage results in 10 second fights. Because cc=win, players feel obligated to use cc oriented builds. (also many guilds require these builds for their raids)

As we see, hammers are the wvw communities’ new fashion. about 80% the heavy armor players mostly play with hammers for knockdown, stun etc. in groups. Zergs with more hammer users always win. I think they have to provide players more options to play instead of going for cc only. I think we need to gain stability for a while after being knocked down etc. once in order to prevent cc spam from the zerg. With too much cc spam, it’s impossible to fight properly in crowded fights.

Also arrowcarts are mostly ruining player vs player combats and encourage players to hide in towers and just build & fire more arrow carts.(for example eu vizunah) I think arrow cart skills/damages should be nerfed to encourage players to fight with their own abilities. Too many acs just ruin the pvp oriented combat.
These are my thoughts. What do you think about this issue ?

The Bifrost: Updated the effects and texture to be more detailed and vibrant, enlarged the footfall effects, and added a new projectile.

so only change i see in Bifrost is the new projectile :/ the rest looks the same….

those change are there but they’re so subtle they’re hardly noticeable and on some surfaces the footprints don’t show at all, like for eg on the steps to the to the TP house in LA.

Current dreamer footfall effects look similar but it has much more intensity.
Bifrost’s footfalls can’t be seen on ~80% of surfaces in the game.
They need to improve bifrost’s footfall visibility/intensity. And footfalls need to be a bit longer.

Guilds keep sfr alive, not the community. Community just tells them where to fight or not to fight in order to drop down a tier and get rid of pugs. This kills the sfr, not the pugs. We have to fight hard to stay on top of the ladder. We’ve achieved this with both guilds and pugs. If viz is so strong, then why we’ve defeated them last week ? And why we’re #1 eu now ? We can do it guys, just keep it fair and don’t tell guilds not to fight hard.

Ascended items obligates us to play pve. Please, don’t obligate us to play pve !
They even have to add an option for us to craft a legendary weapon by playing mostly in wvw. It’s always unfair for wvw players, because always pve players gets the items and stuff. I’ve bought this game last year because it was said to be an pk/pvp oriented game. So make it happen please, arenanet.

The circling coloration that goes around the Bifrost is larger and more vibrant, the projectile is awesome!

Footfalls appear the be the same though. Now, The Dreamer’s footfalls are very nice, its basically the Bifrost footfall + a very clear lucky charm emblem in the center. Perhaps it evens out though, since we have the “glow”, I don’t think The Dreamer gives the user a “glow”.

What about sunrise, twilight, eternity and predator etc. ? They have auras(glow), great weapon trail effects(while using skills) and long+visible footfall effects. I can’t understand why they don’t add visible and long footfalls to bifrost because there’s no reason. They have to make it equal to greatsword counterparts. Nearly every other legendary weapon has better footfalls than bifrost now.

Staff skins are so underrated in this game although they are as common as greatswords by usage density. Also greatswords has more serious, epic look while other legendaries has rainbows, ponies, discoballs etc. They have to rework on this staff from head to toe to give it a serious look. We also need at least 2 selectable color templates for legendary staff. One bright/white color for guardian/ele etc. one dark and gothic color template for necros/evil looking characters.(like sunrise/twilight) I use staff as a primary weapon and I want staves in this game to have epic looks as well.

Yes, it replaces staff #1’s hand projectile effect with its own white shining orb with rainbow trail. But there’s still no updated footfall effects…

Yes, I have a Bifrost and I approve this. Footfalls are still so short and not very visible.
The developer was telling about Bifrost’s updated footfall effects, but there’s no update on footfall effects.

They should be “Account bound on use”. But players shouldn’t be allowed to sell legendary weapons anymore, legendary weapon crafting needs some effort. They buy gold from 3rd party sellers, then they get their legendary weapon in their hands instantly. What’s so legendary about it then ? Buying them with real money makes it so easy. If they don’t want to remove gold sellers from the game, at least they have to convert valued items to non-sellable items and make them require some gameplay effort for crafting process.

People who buy gold will get banned, so they dont get to enjoy their instant-legendary much :P

Nope, they never get banned. I know so many ppl that buy high amount of gold (about 7-10k) from 3rd party sellers and they are still playing. They have 2-3 legendary weapons on their every new character.(they buy them straight from tp) And they are playing for 7 months or so. Just don’t convince yourself about this, anet doesn’t ban gold buyers. Gold sellers can easily transfer gold via guild bank deposit/withdraw system. I don’t want any player to be banned, but I just want them to prevent this cheating on legendaries.
Anet should take an action and delete gold buyers’ items. I just can’t understand why they still don’t take an action.
If a player wastes his 2-3 months to craft a single legendary, every player needs to do the same. If someone gets it instantly without any effort, we call this cheat.

The Predator - please revision

The predator does not fire, flash or exude anything rainbowy. Anet doesn’t care about it.

Even this fact is enough for predator owners. The predator is one of the most serious looking legendaries in the game. They need to add better looking variants for other legendaries(i mean girlish looking ones) and allow players to exchange their existing legendary weapons for free…

The game is so much greatsword biased, the best looking legendaries and exotics are always greatswords. This is why they have high prices. For example compare looks of the dreamer and twilight. I hope anet hires new designers that design better non-greatsword weapons.

I love all the people whining about prices for legendary’s. Guess you should have made one early on like everyone else!
No excuses cause I have friends with 5-7 legendary’s, and it’s been a year since release, so you should at least have at least one by now.

I have a legendary and am working towards a second and I play a lot.. so I can say without a doubt that having 5-7 legendaries already is insane (and more than likely your friend got them from playing the TP and not the game.)

They generally buy gold with real money.(players with 4 or more legendaries)
It’s hard enough to craft 2x legendaries as a hardcore and legit player.

Pve farming should be nerfed, players feel like they are obligated to go farm all day with these new patches. I mean, they offer us a new opportunity to get good amount of gold by farming champs/map events/crown and many players can’t resist it and farm all day instead of participating in wvw etc. since it’s not as rewarding as these farm spots. You can’t sit and do nothing while others get rich by farming. This psychological obligation makes many players farm all day, thus increases inflation rate. Also it makes the gameplay boring, since entertaining gameplay style doesn’t offer you such amount of gold.

Why a player needs to run fractal after getting all his ascended gear ? To complete same boring maps over and over and get a little reward for it ? I have shining fractal capacitor(infused) on my 2 mains, no one can show me a point to do fractals again.
So no, I don’t think ascended weapons are only meant for fotm or agony resistance since fotm is not for endgame players.

Hardcore players generally get quickly bored of the game… This game suits mostly casual and pve oriented players. They only add small pve content every 2 weeks, but there’s still no new pk zones, pvp modes, gvg modes etc. after 1 year. Arenanet should add some new pk(pvp) modes and zones to the game and encourage players to participate and grind in pk modes. The first guild wars was pvp/pk oriented but, this game is completely pve oriented. We were doing some wvw activities with our guild, but thanks to the latest patches everyone is farming events/champs 7/24 now. But for what ? I don’t think someone’s actually having fun by farming like zombies. They can make hardcore playing fun by converting the game to be pk/pvp oriented again. (I don’t mean spvp, I mean every kind of player vs player involved game play)

Is Bifrost getting any changes?

Yes, that would be good. They also need to fix the invisible aura problem.

they have to allow us to use sigils, infusions are just garbage compared to sigils.
players want better legendaries, but they nerf them…
