Badges still have a use (albeit a little limited) superior siege, or you could always just buy the original gear (zerker unless they have fixed the other sets) to salvage/mf. And they will never do the badges -> gems conversion (they would have to do the same for PvE badges too). I do agree that badges have a semi useless role after a while, let’s just be grateful that they no longer take up room in our banks :P
I don’t agree 100% with 1 and 3. If they made 1 optional I’m all for that, and 3 I don’t fully understand what you are suggestion. 2 is very valid, and has been brought up many times (anet had gone so far as to say they aren’t satisfied at all with the commander system, so it’s just a matter of time…but how long no one knows). Here’s hoping that some of them get some attention soon
I was buying sieges and selling them from tp to make some gold but their price gone so low, so it’s not so convenient way to buy sieges anymore. Badges are just waiting for their use in my wallet
and there’s no pve badges as I know, and pve has many high-return farm options for new players. But many endgame users(which have all items including legendaries) don’t care about pve, they just want competitive pk features(for wvw and other new zones) in order to continue playing this game. a wvw player must earn same gold as pve players, they shouldn’t force you to play pve to earn high amount of gold like current state of the game.
my 3rd suggestion was about guild activities in wvw. as long as you kill opponents in wvw, you make your guild gain honor points. your guild unlocks new wvw features with these honor points, and gets in guild wvw leaderboard rankings. i suggested customizable capes as an optional feature, which you unlock them with guild honor points, best looking ones require extreme amount of honor points etc.
I agree, I want to change the color and aura of my legendary weapon which doesn’t suit my character’s role.

Well, this is an mmo so we need a little competition, there’s no point to grind for high ranks to compete other players. (except new wvw skills specs etc.)
It would be good if we had wvw rank icons next to our nicknames just like battlefield 2. (online fps game)

We use ctrl+t to target/mark our clan leader/commander in order to have a private commander. It would be good if we had a seperate private commander tag in map which is only visible to guild members.

There’s no use for them at endgame as most of veteran wvw fans don’t need basic exotic gear/ascended trinket etc.
That would make condition builds useless, conditions already have a stack limit of 25 which prevents us to deal damage and get loot in crowded areas. Some classes depend on condition skills, so that would kill these classes too.

Current system is not alt-character friendly. I feel like I’m obligated to play with my main all time to unlock new wvw specs etc…
Yes, I mean wvw world ability points in the topic. They aren’t resettable for now, but it would be good if we had an option to re-spend them.
Some legendary weapons lose their effects without re-appearing if “effects lod” option is active at the options menu.
Invisible legendary aura bugs were fixed with the last patch but effects lod option makes them bugged again. Since some legendary weapons only have an aura as a special effect, it’s not a good idea to remove these effects from them. Legendary greatswords always retain their special trail effects even in most crowded areas like wvw. Why does, for example, staff, dagger, rifle, pistol, sword etc. lose their precious aura effect ? Then if you want to limit even legendary weapon effects, also remove light-trail effects of greatswords to make it fair for other type legendary weapon owners. We play hardcore to get these special effects, if they are removed, there’s no reason to obtain a legendary skin.
Nice Idea, but using 1 weapon on different builds might be a problem, if gear from other builds stays in the build gear slots.
This would also give you “free” extra storage space that you usually would have to pay for (extra bags or bank slots), so Anet will lose out on potential gem sales.
Then again, we got the wallet for free as well, i expected it to be a gem store item.However, I would pay gems to be able to use extra build tabs.
Yeah, they can sell additional build slots at gemstore, also 3.50-5 silver per build switch would be fair. The main point of this system is to make playing with multiple builds easier, and improve game experience of players just like the new wallet system.
Since retraiting is used as a gold sink, if you had to pay a few silver for your little system there that would be great.
Yes, they may add a little fee for switching build presets like current retrain fees.
I liked the new account wallet system, that was a great addition to easily organize our items.
So I thought it would also be a great addition to implement a “build preset system” to the game.
It was already rumored on forums, but there’s no news about this system.
Personally, I use different gear / utilities / traits for my dungeon, general pve and wvw builds. It’s really hard to change between builds for me since I need to deposit all my unnecessary gear to bank then take my other gear from bank and set my traits/utilities manually again.
With this implementation we can switch between builds with just one button, I’ve added my ui concept as image attachment.
Features :
- Add/Edit/Save build presets with a custom name
- Traits, gear (armor, weapon, trinket etc.), and utility skills are saved to preset settings
- Items (gear) are contained in the build preset’s inventory gear slots, so it doesn’t waste slots in your inventory. If you switch to this build preset you start to use this build’s pre-saved character gear slots.
- If you delete a build preset, your items in this build preset goes to your normal inventory
- Switching between builds can be free or 1-2 silver per switch
- To prevent abuse in pk areas, you can only switch presets in cities, all pve zones, and main wvw bases, and for the pvp, heart of the mists.
- You may use the same item(for ex. weapon) for multiple presets

Have you guys tried your legendary weapon effects after the patch ?
My aura now works better(not disappeared till now), but i’m not sure it’s completely fixed or not.
After the patch, graphics look much sharper to me at ultra settings.
It was very hard to find place for all those badges of honor. It’s nice now.
Please add world ability point reset/retrain option to the game, so we can rearrange our used ability points. This function can be added to retrainer npc in wvw.
If you don’t want players to overuse this, you can add time limit like 1 reset per month or you can make it a little expensive. (1-10g per reset)
We also need private guild-only commander tags. It’ll be only visible to his guild mates.
This would be useful for guild-only raids, targeting the commander with ctrl+t is getting old.
I’ve realized that there was a much better skill tree for me, and I wanna re-spend them.
Will we be able to reset our world ability points in the future ?(on our own, or via anet)
Is there any news on that ?
I would suggest using arah or dry bones set. They suit the necro best.

There isn’t another legendary wpn choice for condimancer :P I would prefer black staff with green aura. But their designers don’t like necros that much.
I sometimes use celestial and several different frosty dyes as alternative color scheme to fit bifrost. Looks kinda priestish with these colors.

DS was the only useful mechanic of this class, and now with the overflow mechanic, it has completely gone. We’ll be useless in both pve and wvw. This was the necro’s main feature from the start of the game, if you wanted to do some nerfs then you should have taken back some of these buffs, not the main defense mechanic of the class which existed all the time.
Btw, if we cry enough we’ll get another buff in 2 weeks guys. We have been nerfed to hell because of these crying players. This is how things work in gw2.
Ok, nerf the added buffs before this patch, but why do you move greater marks to another tier and remove ds absorbing options ? We’ll have to use 180 radius instead of 240. If you want to move it to another tier, then greater marks should be 360. Also we’ll die like a glass cannon but without thief’s escape options. Necro is a class without mobility, it uses ds to stay alive in wvw and we won’t be able to use it again to absorb dmg with this nerf. You have just killed necromancer class, congratz. Seriously add stealth or another escape option or every necro user will change to thief(gets buff in every patch like it’s not op) Or add class change scroll to the game, maybe this is the solution.
actually it’s easier to collect them from wvw. if you follow a good commander you get about 300 a day with ease.
I don’t want to use gs, just give me optional predefined 5×4-skill set of staff skills to choose.
And also add some new good looking staff skins, don’t force us to craft legendary gs anymore. It’s overused.

Legendary items must be customizable, so I can dye my bifrost on my necro to black and aura glow to toxic green.
They have to make it really hard to craft precursors or legendary weapons will be easy to get and won’t be that “legendary”.
I’ve bought my precursor for 600g from tp, then if they want to reduce precursor prices to make them easier to acquire, they have to give some extra items or gifts to existing legendary weapon owners to make it fair. (cause we’ve paid much more)
Also they have to fix existing legendary weapons’ effects before adding new ones.
Legendary weapon aura effects need to be fixed first, my aura is not visible in many situations. I have to switch weapons to make it appear again.
Looking through the later chests in the achievement panel you can see what is coming which is good but I noticed that the weapon skins are the same at the later tiers as they were at the earlier ones. Will the other skins show up later, like the torch, etc?
Definitely they will. There’s all skins and their links in dulfy’s guide.
U may also try vampirism + siphoning traits. (for wells etc.)
Despite class-killing nerfs, rangers are easier to level in pve. Just send your bear to tank, and kill the mob without even taking damage with 2 skills. I’ve leveled 6 classes to 80 lvl and the hardest ones were mesmer and thief. Warrior guard ranger necro ele(condition d/d) are easier to level.
If there was no WvW I would have never purchased the game.
Same here. They even have to add new medium sized battlegrounds without castles/sieges just to fight other players for fun and earn honor points. (much bigger than pvp arenas, much less populated and smaller map than wvw)
i think we should all spam Anet with hate mails so they can see the problem here… Legendaries take so much effort and time to get, yet Anet doesnt care about it.. “OHHH!! Legendaries are bugged?! Who cares, we cant fix it. We should add a new NPC in lions arch that doesnt even do anything usefull, and remove him after 2 weeks instead!”
well.. maybe not… But if there is some bugs they should fix, this is some of them. Legendaries are suppised to be cool, not bugged

Naaaah, let’s fix a problem 5 legendary owners are having instead.
There aren’t so few legendary weapon owners as you think. Crafting a legendary weapon is currently the main endgame target of this game. (as this is a cosmetic game where you try to get best looking stuff in pve)
So regular and high-playtime players get affected by these cosmetic bugs. I don’t say that they shouldn’t fix other general issues, but come on, there aren’t so many legendary weapons to fix(1 for each weapon type and 3 for gs and not all of them are bugged btw), they could have fixed them at some point in 9 or 10 months of this game. There’s even a thread about it in this forum created 8 months ago.

It’s an one-time fix, and would make hardcore/dedicated players happy.
It would be good if we could trade these for gold/gems(especially this)/laurels. I have tons of it in my bank(2 tabs are full of it) and i can’t find an use to spend them as i don’t use them for sieges etc. and have all ascended trinkets. I’m sure there’s tons of players in my situation.
Maybe you can implement an exchange rate for these badges.
For example 250 badges = 100 gems.
I still think it’s horrible that Legendaries are even Soulbound on Use, so people can put them up on the trading post.
I’ve seen people running around with 4 Legendaries, and I have asked them, the answer always seems to be ‘’Credit card, yes.’’
That is what annoys me a lot.
There really are nothing in this game yet that can be gained through dedication, skill and long time playing, except PvP perhaps and their titles to some degree.
As long as they can’t prevent 3rd party gold sellers, and don’t ban both buyers/sellers they’ll buy 6-7 legendaries with the holy credit card’s power
I don’t think any of them buying their weapons through converting gems to gold(via gw2 gem store), it would be very expensive. So it’s not profitable for anet or ncsoft too, just 3rd party sellers are getting richer.
But this is not the case, they may want these weapons to be sold in tp, but they can still add “account bound on use” system for legendary weapons only. I think, lack of visual effect fixes and account bound system are the most important two problems of legendaries.

I think the aura problem is shared between legendaries, iirc my sunrise also lose it.
Even if it would be nice if fixed, your points 2 is more interesting. The chance to give them to different characters would be really amazing.I also think some legendaries arent really appealing but those are my tastes. I remember a thread of suggestions where a guy wrote about a black kudzu with roses, oh id create a ranger only to equip it.
Every legendary with aura have this problem. Bolt, Sunrise, The Bifrost, The Predator, Quip etc. etc. And some others with extra effects(like op’s example) These are most valuable items of the game, yet their effects are bugged.
People are crafting these expensive items for visual/cosmetic reasons and these effects. This is why these bugged effects should be fixed immediately. Legendary greatsword users don’t complain that much btw, because these weapons’ trail effects are still good enough, but if some of these weapons lose their aura or other effects they look like standard exotic weapons as they don’t have any other “shiny” trail effects.
These effect bugs are really annoying. Personally i have the bifrost(legendary staff), and its aura effect is the only reason why i liked it and crafted it. But, it doesn’t work all the time. in most situations these effects disappear and thus making it look like an exotic worthless stick. There is a thread which is created 8 months ago about legendary weapon effect problems, and as you see these problems are still not solved yet. it’s sad to have a bugged item after grinding hard to craft one. these aren’t like any other item, these are most valued items of the game. at least they have to fix them with more importance.
I also agree with you, they should be “account bound on use” so they would stay still tradeable before use. this way we would be able to use it on our alt characters. they are constantly nerfing and buffing classes so i don’t see a point to stick to one character just because i have all my valued items on it…

I want permanent content. This temporary living story content is completely destroying my love of the Guild Wars franchise and ArenaNet.
I agree with you. If we had quality permanent content every month instead of more frequent living story content, it would be better for this game’s future. I mean, if a player starts this game again after months he won’t find any different contents to play(except currently running living story release ofc) because all of them are temporary. Permanent contents can accumulate, and make gw2 a greater game over time. I don’t think current “temporary” system can replace a good expansion pack for gw2’s favor.
Nice build, I think it’s perfect for open world pve and some softcore dungeons etc.
But definitely a condition aoe build would still be better in wvw and spvp/tpvp.
Pk-fight survivability is so weak for a low-mobility class. (especially in 2v1 or more)
But it’s perfect for killing a single target while you are safe from other threats.
Hope they nerf thief stealth(by increasing cooldowns) too.
It’s good to have a new event every 2 weeks. But that event should stay for 4 weeks to be completed.
So 2 events would be active at the same time to complete if you miss the previous one.(for personal reasons etc.)
But for regular players, there would be still new content every 2 weeks. So, I think that would make everyone happy.
Event spawn timers are increased, so there’s no point to go there and wait for half an hour doing nothing. If you want to farm gold, cof p1 is currently the only efficient option.
Southsun cove is a ghost town. (even more than cursed shore)

Why do you even try to trade with mail in this game ? It’s your fault to be scammed like that if you trade like this. You are gambling all your money/item just to profit some more golds.
Btw, if arenanet has chat and mail logs, they can see if you are right or not.
P2P trade system must be added asap. But for now use tp, and don’t be scammed.
Girlish and cute items are dominating the game, for example quaggan plushes, flower power and rainbow nyan cat legendaries, princess items, pink high grade weapons etc.. So don’t expect any high-grade looking item that suits necromancer’s character type well. Personally i’ve crafted a bifrost and changed my arah armor to celestial dye. But all I wanted as a necro was a legendary “gothic” staff with black flames and green glowing aura on it. At least they should allow us to dye our weapons/particle effects, so I can change my bifrost’s color scheme -_-
you are right, they are whining about even unchanged skills and traits now. because necro is now a popular and more noticable class. for example just look at threads in this forum section, they cry about consume conditions, fear damage trait etc. which isn’t buffed/altered from the start.
i like glowy and shiny weapons. there should be more in gw2. (but with better skins ofc)
thieves are op from the start of the game, why don’t you QQ about that? they can use invisibility even in combat, not for one time surprise attack like other games. if they nerf necro, they have to nerf thief perma stealth and perma dodge abilities too. or that won’t be fair and thief will remain op.
it is not buffed or altered from the start, why do you cry about it now? necro doesn’t have passive condition removing abilities like eles, rangers or guards. how should we remove conditions then? don’t make a joke about condi transfer, what if theres no enemies nearby?
