How they prioritize PvP? They add new PvE content every 2 weeks while PvP only get new content on feature packs. I haven’t seen a new PvP map for a long time.
Also PvE is already pointless after a point because of the game mechanic. You can’t get more power/powerful items by playing PvE(after you get all BiS), but you can improve your own skills by playing PvP.
They have to add vertical progression to PvE to give old players a point to play. But this won’t happen because of Gw2’s special situation. At this point living story and features are the only way to improve PvE story. Otherwise, new dungeons or raid system can’t save PvE without having a vertical item progression. It would be pointless to grind them.
This is why WvW and PvP is the endgame.
We definitely need some new hardcore items or goals to pay for.

Why do you think we need to pay for these ? I have 5 legendaries and I haven’t paid real money or smth like that for them. I haven’t even farmed PvE, just played WvW and TP frequently and I got good amounts of in-game money.

I think, after completing the story and episodes, it’s a bit annoying to wait for all dialogues(in which we already know what happened) while re-playing some missions for achievements.
It would be nice to have an option or a button to skip these in-game dialogues while re-playing these missions for achievements.
I think they have to add gradual title system for this. For example a better title for more legendaries…

As you know, you don’t get stacks for your stackable sigils(corruption, life, bloodlust, perception etc.) from mobs without loot and story instance mobs. Isn’t this a little illogical ? I have a legendary weapon with bloodlust sigil on it, and bloodlust sigil does nothing in such content. As an achievement hunter, you have to change the expensive sigil just to get better dps for achievements. I think, these kind of sigils has to work in such instances normally. (Not depending on loot or instanced mobs)
The new story system and achievements are great but, I think we need a rework for these sigils’ functions.
I actually want a dark, evil themed legendary dagger. (like twilight)
I can see it by general decline in WvW queues. And I’m playing in a t1, #1 server.
Imo, it’s better so we can enter without waiting hours of queues. Also a lot of my WvW-maniac friends moved to other games after getting eternal dominator title. They had no other goals to achieve after this point.
I have ~200 remaining tome of knowledges, and 2-3 experience scrolls(1-20) from birthday chests as a player that plays sPvP a lot for endgame content. I bought and stocked some of them with my old glory points. Currently I already have 9 L80’s.
I think it’s not a big deal if you play sPvP regularly, you get a lot from reward tracks.
(also transmutation charges)
They have to remove borderlands buffs, veteran buffs, ascended stats and foods from WvW first to allow roaming. Zero buffs vs full stacks veteran+major/superior buffs in 1v1 is unfair. This is why I insist on playing sPvP/tPvP for fair PvP combat. In current situation, WvW is only good for farming zergs/blobs, for nothing more. It doesn’t fit Gw2’s “fair fight with equal stats” system. It’s just a gear and buff oriented fight. After all of these are fixed, then we can talk about roaming.
Another problem is ppl generally don’t roam solo and do 1v1’s, even if they roam solo they generally run from 1v1 fights to their teammates. Some ppl(especially from desolation) run from 1v1 then when they have 4-5 ppl they attack 5v1… So much cowardness for my PvP taste. If you aren’t playing a troll thief/ele/warrior that escapes a lot, then solo roaming is just for 5v1s with your non-mobile class.
Before more rewards, I want to see fair fights while roaming. No more cowardness. For example they can add a system that automatically lowers their stats when they outnumber you in fights etc… or a system that scales solo player’s hp like world bosses.
I think that’s a nice idea, if anything you can get diminished returns for using multiple foods, for instance two 30 min food only gets you 45 min, this would also recycle the large amount of food, make the economy more healthy, and QoL is adequate overpaid for.
I think there’s no need for diminishing returns, this system will make players consume more food. Instead of forgetting to use food for a long time and saving your food stock, you will be using more foods to stack duration so you won’t run out of food buff.
Players will definitely consume more food than current situation, it won’t harm economy.
Better yet, how about an option to “auto consume” right click on the food and select the option, at the end of the duration it ticks off another one. Much like auto attack

But for something like this system, they have to put a food limit setting, or it will continuously eat food if you forget to turn it down. For example eat 3 of this food automatically wihen it ends.(It means 90min buff).
But I still think duration-stacking is an easier method to implement. You can stack buff time as much as you need, manually.
Example usage: for a full fractal run, I may use 2 foods, for a 2-hour guild raid I may use 4 foods to stack 2 hours duration. So I can have my buff always on without continuously checking its remaining time. (It will also boost food economy by encouraging more food consumption as I explained above)
“Food reminder” messages of WvW commanders would vanish from history.
I think they can add an in-game camera item like Gta5 if they don’t want people to use 1st person camera.
Stackable food/utility durations would be really good as a QoL improvement. While playing WvW, I sometimes forget to re-use my food and utility after their duration end.
Duration-stacking would be a good feature for many people.
With this system, for example if you use 2 of the same 30min food buffs, you will get 1 hour food buff.
If you use a different food, current food and its stacked duration will be deleted and the new buff will start.

According to the devs, this situation appears to be arising when a player has a full internal “queue.” To solve this, they recommend that you clear your Trading Post pickup tab and that should (may?) solve the issue.
It takes a lot to fill up the internal queue, so I’m not sure that this will solve the problem for everyone, but would you kindly try the above and let us know if that resolved the issue for you?

Thanks, this has solved my problem. I’m using trading post very heavily for trading items and I had a good amount of ordered&bought items waiting in queue to pick up. When I picked some of them up, I received the unlock dialog of “gates of maguuma”.
I couldn’t have guessed that it was the TP.
Clear out the TEMP files for GW2 by going to % Temp % (without spaces) and deleting gw2cache
Also make sure your firewall is turned off for 10 minutes or so.

I don’t know why you’re trying to buy it though. I thought it was automatically unlocked if you log in while its active, and that you only have to buy it if you missed it completely.
As you see it’s not unlocked for me and I see a “buy” button there.

I think, it’s because of your graphics quality.
I think, the game needs some more hardcore goals. Everything becomes pointless after a point. I had more fun grinding for legendaries than having legendaries. Playing for a big target makes the game fun for me.
Instead, they can remove material drops from salvage for these items. So we can get our runes/sigils back.
Capes perfectly fit guild wars world, we certainly need some other features from gw1.(like guild halls, gvg, championships, build sending/presetting etc.)

When you stack bloodlust on land then touch water, you lose all stacks after the patch.
Is this intended or a bug ? If it’s intended, will I keep my stacks if I put bloodlust sigil to my underwater weapon ? And if so, will it be enough to put one sigil only to one underwater weapon, not both ?

No vertical progression = No real end game content.
What will you be grinding or raiding for ? You will always lack best in slot item motivation. This is why PvE has no point to play after a while.
There could be visual, horizontal progression targets for motivation to compensate this, but there aren’t.
Lack of motivation(target to achieve) to play is the most important problem of this game.
But you can still play for fun purposes vs. other players in WvW or tPvP and you can play to grind AP. This is what I’m doing.

I also have an idea and suggestion about eternity/sunrise transitions. Instead of day/night transitions, more frequent transitions in combat with an unified aura would be better for a greatsword like eternity. For example, risen high wizard(at the gates of arah) has something like this if you have noticed. His greatsword changes from sunrise to twilight in combat.
Why not just roll a new character instead?
It’s needed to have a new look without losing 100% map completion, character specific unlocks etc. New character won’t have 100% map completion, traits, bag slots etc.
Survivability is for WvW and I can say that guards and necros do well in WvW.
In PvE, as op says, tankiness isn’t a thing.
PvE is only about stacking stacking stacking, dps dps dps with berserker sets.
No role trinity in this game, sorry.
It’s just another abuse of pug-unfriendly events.
It was discussed many times before, it can be done with story reset or smth as you say.

I want to see all classes even balanced seperately for each aspect of the game. (PvE, WvW, sPvP)
When we stop seeing “zerk war-guard only” only, and when we can use all the classes we want anywhere, then we can talk about new classes.
Warriors are op on both pve(zerk) and pvp(hambow cc spam), why should they need rangers if they can insta-win with this combination?
P.S. I have a warrior too, but only use it for pve because of elitists. Sadly, you can’t play the class you want. Some classes are garbage in people’s eyes.

It has a wider aura, so it doesn’t get covered by heavy armor.
I took some screenshots from different races, as you can see, bigger and bulkier characters or male characters don’t have very visible aura. Charr as heavy class don’t even have visible aura, because it stays inside the character(and armor), it doesn’t scale up with the thickness of a character. We can say that charrs don’t have aura at all. That causes aura to look good only on female and slim characters. This is also valid for some other legendaries with auras. I suggest an unified, wider and more visible single special aura for both night and day versions of eternity to fix this visual problem. For example, I have the bifrost too, but it has a wide aura so it is visible on charrs too. But a dynamic aura with dynamic width would be better. Wider for charrs, narrower for humans depending on character outlines with armor.(not depending on naked outlines because it stays in armor and becomes invisible)
Night(twilight) aura is even less visible compared to day(sunrise) aura. It will be perfect after aura fixes… You can also change the hilt of eternity to distinguish it from twilight and sunrise.
I want to thank designers for the last changes anyway.
It’s not hard to find sexy armor in this game, nearly every armor on female characters makes your character look like sex toys. If you are looking for evil-looking “real” armor, it’s harder to find one.

Some npcs are so weak, for example dungeon allies. They don’t even do real damage and die very fast.
No to this. Excessive farming just makes things harder for non-hardcore-farmers. Because of inflation, prices constantly go up and everything becomes harder to purchase. As you can see some precursors went up to 1500g. There’s still so much farming(e.g. Pavillion gold farming) in this game, it needs more nerfs to reduce inflation.
They have to nerf farming, add more gold sinks and ban all 3rd party gold sellers. Then we ll see prices going down again.
They should add better and more visible auras to legendaries, so players won’t need to stack them. Auras are invisible on bigger characters like charrs.
Trait preset system.
Megaserver system is the best addition to the game. The game had deserted, dead maps before. It’s an mmo now.
This is not a solution, the real solution is removing the problem without causing another problem.
imo, they should develop an algorithm to detect gold sellers’ accounts and their gold reserves and then ban them with a great ban wave. I think it’s not impossible for the creators of the game. They can stop 3rd party gold sellers.
