I could probably convince you to join Devona’s…we also need more population still and already well on the way to an amazing WvW community. We’ve got several WvW guilds that work very well together during prime time hours, the thing is everyone works together. Our “pugs” are amazing (tbh there really aren’t many left already, almost everyone I see is in one of the guilds working together, just need larger population still).
Kaineng… Well that’s going to require people who just plain wants to help the underdog get on its feet. Some big guild needs to undertake it as their project at this point. It needs a jump start badly.
That’s your opinion. I’m on Devona’s Rest and my guild and I have a BLAST every night while we are on. Sure we lose in points once we log off usually, but while we are on we usually lead the score and have tons of fun doing so.
You might be onto something there Doom, that does sound like it would really promote strategical play. As well as solve the over night BS issue currently plaguing us.
only 2 of the 4? kaineng is lucky to even lock one, and even then its a <1 minute queue.
I wish you guys would stop funneling your population into our borderlands and fight somewhere else so at least we can hold some ground somewhere.
Fwiw I do try to leave you guys alone as much as possible. Last night red borderland was the only real prime time action though and it was fun holding the garrison while being hit by NSP on the West and Kaineng on the East.
I do agree tho, I want the server to grow and it won’t happen if people keep leaving it.
They need to make guild upgrades transfer. It sounds like a huge thing preventing a lot from transferring. Maybe I’ll start a thread on this topic specifically.
Devona’s Rest is shaping up to be a great server with great community. It just lacks enough population (ESP on off hours) to climb out of the low bracket yet. One to consider.
Kaineng is the one in the most NEED of people though.

Well Devona’s has had a few WvW guilds transfer there already and is in the process of building up nicely, though it’s a slow process and we still tend to lose everything in over-night.
Kaineng there is nothin wrong, it’s just THE lowest population server. We face them all the time and they never field enough numbers. People need to transfer there.
Escape your long queues and transfer to Kaineng. The most underpopulated WvW server. I see people constantly saying they would transfer if they knew where to. Boom, Kaineng needs you.
Other worlds to consider are Devona’s Rest and Ferguson’s Crossing. Both still don’t have large enough populations to fill all 4 WvW maps.

I PROMISE you all Kaineng has no queue times for WvW. There, now you can transfer without the “we don’t know which ones don’t have a queue or short queue” excuse.
Devona’s Rest also needs more population as we usually only fill 2 of the 4 maps even durin prime time.
Queues were still free last I heard. I’ve been trying to spread the word and get people to balance out the populations before they end but most people care more about “winning” even if they have nothing to do with it since they don’t even get in lol
You can come to Devona’s Rest, our guilds are organized and run groups achieving intelligent objectives, and they defend when needed as well….and we even need more population still because we’re a new server.
far as i remember WvW is not designed to be balanced, you want balance you go sPvP.
its also not that you didnt have enough players because that happens at different times on ALL servers, if i connect in the morning i get, like you would have, a massive buff i think its actually called “outmanned” which gives some hefty buffing to you server.
when we have alot of ppl online we tend to get a push when ppl are co-ordinated but during certain times its quiet and we get pushed, like most battles there is never a time when you are always at your best, which is why the battles last for so long vs a match based system.
and its not really in the control of the devs to have foresight over how many ppl wake up and go WvW vs doing PvE.
tbh it just sounds like you got beat and need to complain.
but bear in mind ever server has times where they are thinking omg this is unfair as well.
again if you want PvP with proper structure go sPvP. WvW is a sporatic uncontrolled enviroment with which to wage war, be it fair or not, because life and real wars are not always fair.
You are wrong. Kaineng is in need of help, it needs people.
I am not on Kaineng, I say this as someone on DR who fights the poor server all the time.
Yeah its rough, the server really needs a couple larger WvW guilds to transfer to it to give it the jump start it needs. Trust me when I say we wish the matchup was a more even WvWvW as well!
Give it time…eventually people will stop being idiots sitting in 5 hour queues and transfer to servers like Kaineng for WvW. Its the exact thing that’s been slowly happening on Devona’s Rest.
What you need is for those servers that have transferred there already…to actively recruit more. That’s what we’re doing at DR.
Edit: Fwiw, I know I at least have respect for the Kaineng that get out there and always make it a point to grab some kitten and not let us take it.
It is not just zerging. Strategy, team work and coordination will stomp the zergs every time. Just tonight my guildies were defending the garrison being attacked from both sides by both servers and through coordination with a flank team and proper siege usage we pushed them out every time they came in.
Devona’s Rest is actually a low pop server that only fills a map when PTX or another larger WvW guild fills a map. In fact, we are usually out numbered by the Ferguson’s Crossing server…we are just mostly made up of WvW guilds that work together and we perform super well during prime time. In fact, we don’t have enough late night or early morning presence yet to hold what the prime time players do and FC always takes everything again over night and it keeps us stuck down in that bracket…for now.
I understand your frustrations though, it sucks being the bottom bracket because its the one left the most unbalanced. I am constantly on the forums on guru trying to get more people to spread to the lower pop servers and try to mention Kaineng first for NA primetime players wanting to escape their queues.
