2 or 3 days ago windows 10 did put out a new update . as well as did NVidia . and with out you giving system specs in your post at all .

it is hard to help you but can say if you have a 32 bit windows system and your running something like windowsXP or windows7 and so forth . well then yes your going to have a lot of problems

more so if your trying to run a 32 bit app on a 64 bit system you have even more problems . hope this helps you with out knowing your system specs honestly this is the best I can come up with . good luck

and I got both a I-7 and waiting for the new thread ripper to come out myself . even tho I can not use them for this game to get the best bleeding edge use and feel I like

I went back and got a cheep I-5 core intel over clocked it with a gfx 960 card . and called it a day fully knowing after this and the 200+ posts in the last few weeks about this .

I will never ever be able to use 4K or max out the game with using all hardware fully . but at least other games that are coming out now I will be ready for them and the games like wow that have already done the system upgrades to their old games

I have not noticed this or these so called lag spikes you all speak of. for the last day since the crash deal day events lol . are you doing any thing like streaming music ? or maybe looking stuff up on the wikki and forgetting you left your browsers open while playing the game ? are you running them things called chat apps like discord and team speak ? or maybe the new windows 10 update that just came out yesterday ? or you maybe need to update a driver of some sort ? or your fire walls are set to low ? just some things I noted and seen giving other people problems as of late mostly has been discord while others had their firewalls set to low .and only a few so far with the windows10 has had only small problems with that

honestly I feel for you . as I like to see the game have it too and much more. but sadly to say . me and you and all us people with high end computers potatoes is all out of luck .

best fix I found for this sadly to say but yet it works and can still play all games fully . with a lower end to mid spec range custom built pc .

you really think after 100+ posts on this topic . they would have had forethought . and put these things in the game. but will say even with what I call a low end mid spec pc. ahh the game is still good . just can not get or have it all nice and flashy bleeding 4K . the way we like it

you will have to upgrade your windows 32 bit system . to windows10 64 bit system as the game no longer supports 32 bit systems any more . they also come right out and tell you not to even use a 32 bit system for this game . and that answer is right here in this link post.

Yeah this kinda stuff is why fixing bugs in a codebase with millions of lines of code is always scary. Sometimes its better to NOT fix a bug :P

When designers play “Attached” effects on a creature, the effect is actually rotated 180 degrees the wrong way due to a code bug. So artists and designers would manually rotate the effect to work. But since there are already thousands of attached effects, fixing this bug would break all of those effects.

Granted, with some work you could probably make a clever python script to find all references to all attached effects and manually do some kind of fixup along with the patch, but it will still break for people working in different code streams than the main one that you do your fixes in.

for thos that never played the first Guild Wars .or the Guild Wars Vets that might have forgotten about this fact . and are sour about the new mounts coming to the game .
claiming mounts are game immersion breaking is very wrong .

in guild wars we had something called missions to get to the next story line point of the game . the first mount we found was called the worm named Queen Aijundu that after the mission was done and over . we could go back and ride as many times as we wanted and do some really good gold farming too .

That was very hard to read, and my time was wasted because you did not make a single, actual argument against why an implementation like this would be negative. You just spewed nonsense alluding to people only wanting to “chit chat” whereas we are playing a ranked, competitive game mode where users want to win.

And instead of “chit chatting” in text form, at least they’d be freeing up there hands and you could, once again because this is so incredibly hard for the average person to grasp MUTE OR TURN OFF THIS FEATURE ALTOGETHER.

Teamspeak or other apps do not cater to solo queue. Setting a precedent of “pro’s use voice chat, if I’m not a complete idiot I could use this to my advantage as well” can only make for better games and less frustration.

What I’d love is ArenaNet to come in and be transparent about this. Your game mode suffers from a genuine feeling of “who cares”. You build upon a community very organically by allowing them to talk to each other and create better teamwork game by game with something like this, and it can be attributed to any organized competitive setting in any esport.

There’s one other game I can think of that rivals the same toxicity each game, and what do you know, it’s League of Legends, another title not utilizing Voip for solo queue.

I personally just don’t bother with box games for the PC anymore. Download to play is my thing. I also just download and play on the PS3 too, the only time I don’t there is when I happen to go into a store like GameStop and see something I want to try on clearance for something $4 or so.
I live full time in an RV (and have for about 7 yrs so far) and space is at a premium so if I don’t have to have a box then all the better. Honestly even if we move out of the RV back into a sticks & bricks place then I still would not want boxes everywhere. Too much clutter anymore is something I no longer want to deal with.

I agree with you fully on this Pyrate Silly for me when they begun to put everything online and they came out with downloading software. that is when I stopped buying boxed stuff and going to retail stores all together my self . other then food stores mind you . case in point I need to go to my local game stop retailer to buy a blizzard card for a sever change lucky for me they had the cards but I noticed and ask if they had a pc game area . thinking of maybe picking up a old game for the cheap for the whim of it all .
that is when my local game stop told me they removed the pc area from the brick stores and now its all done online . and to me that makes since long as they carry the cards for games and so forth . thus so

What you are asking is for an engine upgrade, not a game systems upgrade. Game systems can be done by simply updating those same systems to include new features. These can include character progression systems, models and textures, etc. in a way it’s a patch really.

An engine upgrade is a whole different beast. It is usually a huge undertaking for any developer to do any sort of changes to their game engine. What you are asking is for ANet to change the architecture on which their engine is built upon. Nevermind the fact that there are no games currently that go above 4 cores, and very few that go over 2. And the fact you can’t SLI a 1080 (we don’t need the full name of the card, please don’t…) is irrelevant. Such a card is already overkill on its own, SLI is redundant.

So basically, you are complaining about something you have either never experienced, or have no need for. And we don’t need to see your chassis, this isn’t an kitten contest.

Stick to asking for 4k support, which as far as I know is actually a reasonable request. (And even that, I have seen Eyefinity setups running this game fine)

Ryzen and Threadripper are barely out of the gate, so waiting for support for them is unrealistic at best.

So what are you complaining about again? That you can’t fit your 10cm plug into a 5cm socket? Well no sh-.

How about you complain about engine optimizations eh? I remember this game during closed beta and performance wise it is a far cry from now.

You’re quite mistaken on games not using more than 4 cores. Several engines modern engines use 8+ now. They also run well on older machines, which is probably a lot of GW2’s target demographic. The game needs better optimization. Large raids. world bosses, and pvp suffer dramatically on any machine and that is due to this engine.

their is no SLI or CROSS FIRE support at all for this game unlike wow . this game is only in DX9A unsure about possable upgrades coming to this game is best played on auto settings or low settings . more so in boss fights you want your settings low as you can get them so you .do not lag your self out of the game or anything . all classes have very limited skill sets. you can change weapons and that will change your skills .but will, not give you any more skills at all .

pvp is not the same as wow pvp and you have no open world duals at all in this game . and their will never be any 2v2 or any thing like that but their is 5v5 ..

wvw is locked to servers that you pick . and if you want to move to a different sever for better wvw that can cost you 1000 gems and up if you move to a low end server it will cost you 500 gems .

being you are from Austria, Europe you only be playing on EU servers only .

their is NO Rogue in this game at all so your out of luck their . but you might like theft and you might not

mesmer is good for number of things including teleportation . and so forth .

but i say play all classes and do not try just one and you got a home instance that you can put farming nodes into that are also into the game as well

also too do not try to pick one class and play it all the time . that will take the fun out of this game for you fast and fully . so play all classes .

we do have a tp system in this game and you can do good on it for some things. but better off to level up your crafting classes and use them much as you can to save some cash on the tp pricings

How active is the community that is a mixed bag but their is still some good people in this game yet .

world bosses is where people get together for community stuff every day . their is raiding if you into that too

If Anet promoted tournaments inside their game it’s ok and they should do it. I was always in Heart of Mists,so I never saw those,but if they promoted it to PVE side it’s ok. Those dynamic events are joke…I rremember, when Jungle Wurm or what it’s called, died before it came out of ground. It died in 2s tops. That was at start of game.

Here are some notes on how we chose what:
• No “components” has been my go to up til now but you will notice there are a bunch of things here that might be called “component”. The ways I softened but did not eliminate this rule is two fold: 1) allow a second tier of refinement like dowels and patches which are used cross discipline, 2) allow a number of scribing and cooking components that feel very core to the disciple and are used over and over throughout but did not have OTHER components in their ingredients which are also being added to storage (eg no herbed stocks because base stocks go in).
• No Inscriptions and Insignias. I just felt that there were too many and there were more important things that crafters were more likely to be holding on to for longer.
• No sigils and runes. I believe there are WAY better solutions to this problem.
• No legendary gifts. Too many. Too niche.
• No Piles of Silky Sand. Just consume them, geez.
• No SAB Baubles and Bubble Baubles. I spoke with the SAB designers and this is a technical limitation with how that stuff all works in SAB.
• No WvW Blueprints. I spoke with the WvW designers and they felt that this would create a bad user experience for players who legit use blueprints.
• No Black Lion stuff. There is a combination of technical issues and a lack of desire for those to work that way.
• No Boosters, Tonics, Foods (general food consumables not the core cooking ingredients), utility buff, and potions. Just no. Seriously. There are way too many and there is a whole host of reasons why you just get a no.
• No Instant Repair Canisters, Bank Access Express, Trading Post Express, Merchant Express, Revive Orb. Please just use these.

Story wired and twisted but yet nicely done with not too much lag in the first part of it till you get to the map itself.

map very badly done looks like a copy and paste job mixed with 8 bit areas making the map very bad

tied to hot stuff yet again making it much more worse . not able to reach the second area of the storyline at all if your not got hot masterys . making it very unplayable
