I find it easy when I get placed in a new spot in la by this . as it helps me to unlock that are much more easy and faster too .

and I have no problems with load times with LA . or any other map with my s/s/d drive . load times for any map is give or take 10 seconds at the best or worst case .but I also keep my firewalls set to high blocking uneed traffic from the internet . also too I use guild wars 2 launch buddy . to get the most lowest server ping rates and faster loading time

That said, as said above your account has value if you are having fun with it. Be that with 1 gold or 1 million. As long as you are having fun then you are on the right pace.

no such thing at all as account value . the only account value is the fun you get from the game its self you played . and the hours of fun you had while playing said game

you will need to let your anti virus soft ware to give it permission to have access to the internet .

also you will need to go to windows fire wall and set inbound and outbound rules for it to get access to the internet as well .

if you not done these things yet doing so should fix your problems and get you back to playing the game again .

or is it a sd drive ?"???? . even tho this should not matter but to make this all work.

so you can play the game go ahead and put the game on the C drive. and once it installs and is fully updated . so you can play the game with out any files downloading while your playing

once you got that all done . THEN locate the game folder on the C drive and just move it to the D drive . very much like you do with pictures and videos and music and so forth .. hope this helps good luck

when the game says STATE_SERVER_WAIT . are you using launch buddy for guild wars2 ???

if so go to your antivirus program and put it into the list of trusted apps . and see how that works after that .

as that is the only thing I can think of that will fix that problem for you . and I know that with gw2 launch buddy will give you that message until you put it into the ok or trusted apps list.

ok if you got windows 10 . it sounds like you have the windows 10 power mamgent problem . which could be a easy fix maybe

if you read this forum you see their has been some small problems to buy path of fire pack . maybe if you try it again and it still does not work then maybe contacting support for help will work best. as their is no way we players can help you with this problem .

but I do know you can buy hot from Walmart’s for $15.00 . in the usa but I am not sure of your country at all. but if you do have Walmart their as I think you might . maybe check them out for a copy of hot good luck

when I play the game its self . I work on things that interest me only . and keep all chats off even in towns I just do not chat that very much at all unless I do a world boss and need to know how to do that world boss if I not done it yet .

seeing walls of text and so forth not something I am into when playing a mmo . at first when the game came out their was a reason to be part of a guild to a small point . but after that was all changed well I dropped any and all guilds I was in and fully removed all chat apps from my computers .

WOW, which are XP or better and DX9 or better is not correct . not sure where you got that outdated information from about that game still using them so low end specs .

as that game no longer supports or recommends the use of windows xp any more

far as I know you must be logged into the game in order to put gems onto your account .

one idea could be to use a pair of head phones while the game is running . and so you can put the gems to your account .

another way is to fast as possible log into account . go to game options and turn the sound down with the master sound slider . then you can put the gems onto your account

I for one fully agree with every thing your saying . sad part is I know they will not change this at all. they seam to think its not need for the game . or the game does not need to support new cpus or other hard ware for that matter like SLI and cross fire . or 4K even

and the game is still stuck in DX9A . for me this is part of the reason why I will not be buying the new pack when it comes out . they could have game the game some type of system hard ware upgrades

but due to all the spaghetti code in the game well only way to fix it is a new game .
which that is any ones guess far as the engine they raised up the low end specs at the very best at this point .

and by todays standards yes 2017 people do find the game in the same shape as you and me do . but the sad part to say some can only find that out for them self’s just looking at the systems specs as a whole . and I will say despite the problems and so forth . at the very least our systems can push it a little to the good end . and make a bit more ok and some what enjoyable to play .

this all said if one looks at other games that are much older . and have upgraded their system specs they will find most of the older games can support new hardware of todays market . as well as new games coming out have made the change overs already to the most latest hard ware and system specs and even include 4K and the new ryzen cpus including the thread ripper cpu .

as I said in the first part of my post I fully think and agree with you we are long over due for that system upgrade . but just not sure it will ever happen tho in this case

other people have had this same problem in the last few months . Telia being the biggest problem .diag trace would be able to tell more. if I remember the a program called ping plotter will help you do a trace and give you that information .

not sure what country your from as you did not say but . guessing I have to say your bank turned down digital river . which does anets gems transactions . when using bank cards for gems .

when your bank saw that they said no to it and declined it . me being in the usa this happens to some of us here too as well . with our banks saying no to digital river till we call them and say your making that digital buy . and it is safe to let the transaction with digital river go threw .. hope this helps you good luck

just reading your post have you allowed your anti virus fire wall to let the game run ? in other word gave it permission in your anti virus ? as I see you let windows fire wall say it was safe to run the game . BUT did you set it in windows fire wall both ways inbound and out bound too ??? and set it for ivp6 ????

what resolution was you trying to pick ??? and the best easy fix I can think of is un stall the game then go to your drive where the guild wars 2 file is delete it and then reinstall the game . hope this helps

this is very easy done . once the new drive is hooked up and fully installed . all you have to do is just move it over to the new drive. just like you move a photo from one folder to another folder . it is that very easy

There’s no comparison. Updating QJ/DB is a matter of adjusting mobs to meet the new player builds;

The auction house prices aren’t set by Anet. They’re set by players. As long as players are willing to pay more for it, the price will cotinue to rise.

What you’re doing is picking what is essentially an end game dye, the most expensive dye in the game, and saying I want that one at a couple of weeks into the game.

I don’t know about you but when I start playing any game, I don’t look at the most exepensive thing on the trading post and say that’s what I’m going for.

MMOs are particularly a progression. If you got that much gold in the sthort time you’re playing, think of how much gold you can have in a year.

Prices aren’t decided based on new or old players, only on supply and demand.

this is very true and the fact the prices are set by players . it can be set higher or lower demand on the market for it and the demand for it .

case in point nodes that you farm iron node goes for ball park right now of 10,000.00 gold

while some of the other nodes can be gotten from 400 gold to 900 gold give or take on the markets at that time

same goes for minis and dyes too as well as skins and armor weapons

so the prices your seeing really is not that high for the market demands

heck some of the stuff you buy from npcs for crafting and so forth goes for 50 gold just from the npcs with out any market to them at all . and other items are sold for 15 to 25 gold from npc,s

its just that market order buying demand very normal and conmen practice here in this game

Haven’t bought them with real money for a long time. US-CND conversion is expensive as well as CC charges for buying in american funds. Ditto why I hope I can find a Canadian seller for PoF. I believe digital river is what is used for real money purchases from Anet (please correct me if I am wrong). I have made various purchases from other companies (software etc) through digital river and I always had Canadian prices/currency offered. Even though more than US retail, there was no bank rate conversion or extra CC charges so in the long run it was fair. As for retail taxes applied for digital purchases, that would be a no. So I see absolutely no reason why Anet couldn’t ensure that purchase(s) with real money be in the buyers currency (adjusted for the differences). Steam does it easy. If the gem cards are considered ‘gift cards’ there is no tax.

You don’t have to raid; the only thing you miss out on is some spirit shards which you also gain from all sorts of other sources.

The reason this is a thing is that originally, XP didn’t give us anything at all after maxing masteries. About a year after that happened (well before HoT), ANet offered us the least possible reward: spirit shards. But because they had implemented masteries into only two trees (HoT and Core), “maxing” meant including raids. It was just the least-effort solution to appease the criticism.

My hope is that they’ll separate raid masteries into its own tree or provide some other work-around.

In the meantime, you’re not missing much. Or if you truly think it’s that important, buy a raid (or leech off friend who raid); you only need to complete one encounter to unlock the branch.

honestly be more nicer if they dropped this from the whole game . and after they dropped it from raid for good put it something different . something that keeps it from raids and pvp and wvw and meta events . as it stands right now its more of a problem then it is something to even invest into just get that one mastery rank filled for thos that want it

You got it wrong. Mounts are what make it worse, because without them we’d have more waypoints.

Actually, lower density of waypoints makes people even less likely to respawn.

that is just like teq event when things get going and for what ever reason their is 20 afk,s and so forth and the map is pulling up its boot straps to make it . its like ok 20 afk dead their not way pointing ahh leave them. and tend to the fight at hand and get your rewards and do not rez them after said event is done . best fix I can find for it .

you can turn them off in the game settings tab of the game . and you can even turn off your own sounds too. but we still will hear you and we can still hear our sounds from items like dreamer . and back packs like the hoho tron and so forth .

so you open up the game go to the little cog wheel on the top left side of the screen.
from their you look for game options . and then go to settings from their to sound settings and right at the bottom of the tab is where you can turn all that stuff off or on if you like .

also too you can turn your music volume down in that same tab and a few other sounds as well too .

yes I looked there, unfortunetly there is no option to mute minis.
I tryied to mute players items (like some back items with sound effects or legendaries) , players instruments, nothing worked.

To mute minis I would have to mute all game sound effects . But I hope I wouldnt need to do that. I want to hear all cool sounds , all music.

Anet spend lots of time and money to produce all that… but if there will be no other way I will have to do it. Isnt that sad? All that amazing music and sounds will be muted because of one (bugged?) mini…..

I must say I am at the edge.. sometimes I loose my nerves and I start saying bad things to other players that use that mini… I shouldnt do that but I am just really frustrated. I have been raporting this problem for over 3 years now..

all other anyoing sounds got mute option already..

And I am not the person who get upset about every single funny sounds. You can play instruments near me all day long. I dont mind dreamer or hero-tron backpack.

but here again in all honestly I think between your problem and the people with motion sickness .. I would have to pick up Hulu again . it is sad to know this sound bothers you very much . hopefully the drevs will see this and fix it . as I know they fixed the motion sickness some what from what I read from the posts on them .

the only temp fix I can see sadly to say is the sound. thus making the game not that fun for you . that is like having the worlds best cookie and it does not even taste like a cookie at all .

myself never seen this as a problem or any thing . more so after doing the map completion for it . which after that’s done every thing becomes far more easy . the hard part I had with that map if anything was when I came from Metrica Province with other toons that did not have it and running from Metrica Province to brisban

you will have to relearn the game from scratch. and craft Ascended Gear from doing pve world stuff and level up your crafting to 500 . for you to craft Ascended Gear

their is no end game at all .

you will be needing to do all hot maps for gliding and mastery points and Ascended crafting .

Forging them into what exactly? Another rare dye? If so, that wouldn’t help the folks that already have collected all the rare colors — unless those forged colors could be sold, but then you would still need four rare dyes, so people would either have to collect the account-bound ones or buy three additional cheaper rare ones.

I don’t know, that doesn’t sound good either way. I’d rather have them not be account-bound to begin with.

it would fully help folks with this problem . as anet can make a new rare dye and does not matter what they toss in the forge dye wise . it will unlock it which anet can do that very easy

account-bound far as dyes goes it not that big of a problem to fix. that is why the anet gods made salvage kits

I am aware. And my point is i shouldnt have to turn the graphics of a game ive played for fives year down, because of one thing they added. Yes ive turned down the setting a little, but i refuse to use them on the lowest setting because it doesnt change anything for me. Have i tried, yes, it did nothing. Again, how mounts are handled needs to not affect anyone who plays this game.

Considering that ive never had motion sickeness in this game for the last 5 years till mounts(aside from that spiny thing), no i havent. Ive turned everything off that i can that would affect that, and it didnt help. The only way they are going to fix that problem is to change mounts, or leave enough WPs in that a player can fully traverse the map, in a timely manner so they arent required.(which they ARE a required thing to use for exploration, but the latter would ruin the entire purpose mounts where added.)

Im also not alone in the mounts cause motion sickness, so im hoping they get changed.
However. this part " still letting other players having it their way too and so we all can enjoy the game " goes both ways. If mounts cause problems which they do, then they need to be changed so that everyone can enjoy the game.

another option is to continue to allow teleportation like the new orrian map. i wouldnt mind paying to unlock “waypoints” if i could

so you play on the most lowest settings possible ??? and have you looked at the settings as of late . as their is now new settings where you can even turn down the motion on Mesmer’s and so forth . they even have it now where you can turn off all the sounds from other players . that use weapons like the dreamer . and so forth you do not see or hear these no more. but the player using them can still enjoy them fully

What do you guys think about forging them?

Assuming they can be put into the Mystic Forge…

Honestly I’d prefer a vendor – turn in X number of kits and buy a specific dye. I have 33 of the first kits, 19 of the second and 2 of the third so far and 6 dyes from a single kit that I don’t have. Depending on how the forging would work, most likely I’d be somewhere between throwing them away and it not being significant compared to actually picking dyes I’d want, but it would work better for others at least.

I do not anticipate that the developers are considering adding another vendor for this once-a-year item. I was looking at the options that we currently have at hand. I’m most interested in learning if the items can be put into the Mystic Forge. I have so many characters on so many accounts, I have to figure out who would be eligible for the birthday gift today.

The problem is, those who have almost are the dyes would not benefit from a mystic forge combine which would take 4 useless dyes and make 1 useless dye (from their perspective).

but how do we know this is what is going to happen should drevs do this .? they could always come up with something new on this topic . say like put 3 dyes into 3 slots with a forge stone. and make a really rare dye out of it . or turn it into a new item even ?

That’s valid and not something I really ever considered.

Personnaly I’d be more than willing to part with the gold for thier use.

Whatever you happen to save on WP costs will be offset by the fact that you have to spend money to collect your loot.

while you have a point on that . some might not care for it and want to sell the loot collected or salvage it . thus not spending any money at all . even if it was a rare dropped item .or low item even I do think time will tell once pof is out tho

I would rather pay to waypoint, than have to run across the map over and over again for different events, on a mount(which yes, will probably be required to make it to events on time) that makes me sick after a short period of time.

just a idea mind you have you tried playing with settings on low ?? so you do not get sick from it ?? as I know they made some good changes as of late for people to turn off or down some things that make them sick or bother them too much while playing . while still letting other players having it their way too and so we all can enjoy the game .

well for you that is all fine and good . but I think for the new players and so forth coming to the game . it would make it more helpful gold wise to have less way points . and leave a few way points open for those that still want to use them . myself I much rather have mounts and lot less waypoints . and I think it is possible to have it both ways . but I am not making the calls the game company doing that . if I was I make waypoints cost only 2 copper in the whole world . even if I cut them down to half
