Yea, i dont know why, i always try it but i never get into SAB. Its probably the event i mostly hate, i avoid it completely mostly. Good thing is it doesnt affect on anything the game, well maybe i lose the chance of earning those cool skins but thats about it.

Its an extension of the game. Just because you do work in your office doesnt mean you cant extend that outside the office as an example. Also, you may not use it but why would you be against it? no matter if it is or not using anet’s api. or even overlay should be fully

bannable. think that is why there so many hacks in the game now as i seen in the last

no thanks lot of people do not like to even see the spvp events on there game screens

It doesn’t matter if it can be done. Half the PvE players will quit and that will end the game. The dev’s know this from the repeated squashing each time it is suggested.
Good luck getting them to end their own jobs.

The hatred of dueling and all it entails is what’s wrong with it. It is intentionally not in the game, not missing from the game.

Please give more information on why people would quit playing if dueling was added into PVE? Would it be because of the losing and or unfairness of a build? Or would it be because of people play dirty?

This is the simplest solution that can make everyone happy: If you don’t like to duel, then don’t duel. If you do like to duel, then you can duel as long as you follow the rules that are already known to everyone who does duel.

It’s a psychological thing. It doesn’t matter whether it logically will affect players or not, players will see it and many will feel instinctively it is the start of a trend they wanted to avoid when they came to GW2. It’s why many kicked off (understandably) over ascended gear, because so many came here to avoid just that. It didn’t matter the stat jump was insignificant.

It’s all about perception for the wider community. Being able to ignore it in this case is irrelevant, whether logic supercedes that or not. Duelling has enough negative baggage from its history in other MMO’s for its mere presence in open world in this particular game, to have a negative effect.

Duelling in pve or open world is not something that will attract players in great numbers. It will however, scare off players. That’s a net loss. Beyond adding in new tech, there is no reason not to add it to the pvp lobby as a separate area or a queuing room, but there is no convincing reason to bring it into the pve/open world area either.

And I’m sure for every person that agrees with you there are others that disagree. It’s subjective. Some people really enjoy it in other games and would here as well. Some would not.

Regardless of the number of players it would drive off vs bring in, the number it brings in or gets to buy more gems will likely not off set the cost of putting it in place. Here are the things ANet would have to figure out:

1. How to keep spectators or people running by the duelers from giving the duelers buffs or removing conditions from them.
2. How to keep the duelers from giving each other buffs and removing each others conditions.
3. How to keep event scaling from counting duelers.
4. How to deal with people who want to duel where say Teq spawns or Shatterer spawns, etc. Do they just put specific areas in (some duelers want to be able to duel anywhere in the world)? Do they put a no-duel zone around the areas of world bosses? Are those no-duel zones even there when the world boss can’t spawn at all since those are on timers?
5. Do the duelists have the entire map to run around or are they limited to a zone?
6. How do duels work if a lot of people want to duel in the same area? Say the Black Citadel arena.

That’s a lot of work for something that likely not a majority of players want in the game.

That’s before even considering how to minimize the risk of griefing by the trolls who give decent duelists a bad name.

yeah this is why they do not want to do this in this game now with the skills which

are lacking so much say compared to the first Guild Wars where if they changed one

skill they had to change another skill just so it was evenly Balanced and the very same

reason why you never ever ever ever see it happen in Guild Wars 2 is the devs do not

want to deal with the hassles and problems it be like having to rebalance skill sets all

time in this game

no matter how they try to put this in the game pve wise . it will only make players

leave the game for good !! and if they did this i will never play or look at this game

ever again !!

the scribing crafting discipline. would make far more sense to go with since its in the

game already but yet not all can do this unless they are in a guild !! or own a guild and

able to do it !! thus scribing crafting discipline. would be a far more better add to the

game its self as a whole !! but do not think the devs get that point

just take the Mesmer you can get to places easy in pve with it . !!

While colorblindness is certainly a thing and there’s always an argument to be made for more options to alleviate it, I’m not really seeing why you need to differentiate between different rarities of bags. There’s minor differences in the loot you can get from them, but its not like knowing that is particularly important, since you’ll just open all of them anyway.

i fully agree on you with this 10,0000% and when i find thos that think it is ok to

The loading times are getting to be very very bad. During this Halloween, loading into Lion’s Arch become a 10 min process. Now obviously this is a somewhat special case, but many of the other crowded maps like silverwastes, or Ember Bay have similar issues. The loading times need to be addressed. At the very least, a status indicator so we know we aren’t frozen would be nice.

if you do not have a dell or HP computer and it is from a computer shop and running

windows 10 do this reboot your computer when it does that bring up your bios settings

of your motherboard and check to see if windows10 is really loading your hard drive

or not. if so just click on your hard drive and it will load but that will also mean thanks

to windows 10 ahh it gets super kittening messy there not sure on the why it is but

i do know that is how to fix it . also too bring up your task manger and right click on

gw2 go to details and see where its setting as another thing with windows 10 i notice

is has the game only run normally . which for me is too slow and i change it to the high

end settings and the game runs even far better . also too another thing in your short

cuts bar make sure you got things turned off that you do not need on like yahoo

messenger and so forth also too if you have a video card app that is not from nvidia

use it and also make sure it is set to high in task manger . doing these things loads my

game up faster then not doing them and cuts the load times down for L.A. D.R and the

other towns also this will make events go better and faster for you too as well . hope

this is some help to you . and make the game more better for you .

I’m thoroughly convinced Guild Wars 2 has a bigger player base at this moment than Guild Wars 1 had at the same point in it’s history.

And there were several times in it’s history when Guild Wars 1 players cried out about changes to the game, such as Nightfall when heroes were introduced. Quite a few people saw heroes as the death-knell of the original Guild Wars and for them it was, as their social game slowly drifted into a mostly solo game.

Guild Wars 2 is an end, because they can keep upgrading it indefinitely which they couldn’t do with Guild Wars 1…the only reason they did this in the first place.

maybe that is how you see it for the heros but truth and honestly be told here heroes

was never see as this at all as the death-knell of the original Guild Wars

heros from night fall was a great add to the game and made it more better to get not

only missions done fully right the first time but also able to go across from L.A to

Drocks and Beacon’s perch like i said maybe that is how you saw heros . but not every

You missed my point entirely. Whether you and thousands of other people liked heroes is completely irrelevant to my point.

My point is based on the OP’s original post. He’s playing to the disenfranchised in Guild Wars 2. You can see my the OP’s post history he doesn’t like a lot of things about this game and he’s painting a picture of Guild Wars 1 as a game where such decisions were universally liked…but they weren’t universally liked.

Heroes split the Guild Wars 1 community much as the conversations about raids splits the Guild Wars 2 community today. Neither game was without criticism and people walked away from both games in frustration over the years.

What one person believes or doesn’t believe is not relevant to the point. I like heroes quite a bit. Doesn’t change a thing about what I said though.

drevs update the wrappers of the graphics and so forth . it be like having a new game

for free yet again . but still all in all if they did add heros some day to this game. i can

honestly only see this as a plus .for the fact trying to get people for dungeons paths and

going off on you own power with no one around could maybe a good thing here in the

game like in hot and maybe new areas to be add to the game but hey this is just my

thoughts on this topic only . but i do agree with you op

You’re right of course. Guild Wars 2 is at and end, and there won’t be a Guild Wars 3, because there doesn’t need to be.

I’m thoroughly convinced Guild Wars 2 has a bigger player base at this moment than Guild Wars 1 had at the same point in it’s history.

And there were several times in it’s history when Guild Wars 1 players cried out about changes to the game, such as Nightfall when heroes were introduced. Quite a few people saw heroes as the death-knell of the original Guild Wars and for them it was, as their social game slowly drifted into a mostly solo game.

Guild Wars 2 is an end, because they can keep upgrading it indefinitely which they couldn’t do with Guild Wars 1…the only reason they did this in the first place.

maybe that is how you see it for the heros but truth and honestly be told here heroes

was never see as this at all as the death-knell of the original Guild Wars

heros from night fall was a great add to the game and made it more better to get not

only missions done fully right the first time but also able to go across from L.A to

Drocks and Beacon’s perch like i said maybe that is how you saw heros . but not every

one saw heros in that same light as you do . and i been playing since it first came out

so i do know the differences here of what it was like before they put heros into that

game and afterwards too that is why when night fall came out i made good and sure

i had it preordered and hopefully maybe one day they will do the same here in gw2

then again maybe not got to see but i can say if they do . without a question at all it

will only improve this game fully by far just like it did with guild wars one

WAR, it isn’t the motherboard. The solution (found by lots of Googling) was to go into Settings via the win-key + R to type in … um .. I forget, but it was in the various web pages I found, a command that brings up a different panel for settings. Then I selected running from a local account. Took some more hoop jumping and email linking but I got it to behave.

Now I just have to see what the “security update” does in a month regarding the two emails I put in.

ahh i see and for me it was as easy and changing the cables on my motherboard .and so

now i can boot my hard drive up first . sorry to hear you had that much of problem

trying to fix it .and hope it stays ok on the next up and no new changes again . but

will say at lest we learn something new
