this is very good and promising news to hear . despite the fact the game is coded in DX9A and will never be upgraded to DX11 or get SLI or cross fire support or take full use of the new thread ripper cpus . thanks for the info I just might look into it now
honestly this is not even a problem any more at all .given the fact when pof comes out we will have mounts . and will not be needing waypoints any more at all .
its a good thing and not any different at all when gliding came to the whole world
if that does not grab you then look at this way the money you be saving from less wp,s and more mount use will be great
I have found when dyes are not selling for the right price and I do not wish to invest any more into them to just sell the one I have . I found salvage is a good easy way and then when they get too much sell them or if I am able to use them for crafting is also another choice
most forget that things like Pile of Bloodstone Dust, Dragonite Ore Empyreal Fragment Bottle of Airship Oil and so forth at one time had to set in our bank tab slots till we could use them for crafting . if we was going for ascended items to keep our toon slots open ..
I have 7 tabs myself and until the changes with them items was made. I had 4 tabs of Bloodstone Dust and 3 tabs of Dragonite Ore Empyreal Fragment and so forth taken up a lot of my bank space. till I could do the ascended crafting .. after a year break from the game its self
when I came back to the game and the changes was made and I did not have to get a gem card for more tabs . it was a good thing . even tho I still have 3 bank tabs full of the Dragonite Ore Empyreal Fragment which I will use for ascended crafting soon as I get the other need items .
I will say this even tho I do not need them right now . I admit and think it be nice to have more bank space for down the road when pof comes out . so if need to store more ascended items till a change happens again or the items are crafted .
I do believe having more bank tabs is a good thing . just some of us like to craft when we are able to do so . even if we have to wait to do it and if no other reason at all then other than its good for the game .
myself I love to hear all the sounds from the game its self including The Dreamer’s horse neighing
but it is nice that anet made it so you can turn it off or on . the person the sound is coming from . can still be hear it and by other players but not you . may have taken a while but for those that was asking for it . now can have it all their way too just like us who enjoy the sounds and all the lights
have not had this problem . but I suggest you submit a ticket to customer support as they be best to help you with it
given that you can have 70 toons on your account . you could always buy another toon slot . and then keep one or 2 toons and let them age with the game getting the rewards and so forth . while using your other toon slots to make new toons . as I found this way to be the most easy fix . with that and making new toons all the time
flashes back to Stardew Valley pls no fishing, I can’t take the stress or the lack of inventory space
you can always buy more bag slots from the trading post . to take away your problem of lack of inventory space . good luck
myself I never use chat apps at all . so I can enjoy the game music and some times when I am not playing I find youtube very good with the games music . in many ways I gotten hooked on it now versus chatting or using the in game map chat or any thing

What happened to the housing promised just after launch?
When did Arenanet actually promise this thing you speak of? I’ve no recollection beyond “we’ll think about it”.
It was a promised feature for after release, and came from Anet about three months prior to release. I tried to dig the quote up and can’t find it on the internet, but I remember it being the selling point in my decision to leave SWTOR for GW2. I came from SWG and missed housing badly! At that time, SWTOR didn’t have housing either, and I was excited to hear it would be implemented after release.
Alas, release came and went. The dev comments on housing changed to “we’ll get around to it”, to “it’s on the horizon, but being pushed back behind other things,” and finally to, “Sorry, there will be no housing.” I remember at that time feeling quite dupped, jipped and just let down when they said our instanced homes is all we’ll have. But then guild housing was released and people garnered hope again, since it’s all basically the same thing. In a way.
Just because some people find housing pointless, doesn’t mean everyone does. Housing is a much-requested feature across the MMO-scape, and most MMOs include, or have added housing to their feature set. WoW did, ESO did, SWTOR did. Rift, EQ2, BDO and a few MMOs have instances that are a major part of the playerbase’s “endgame”.
Yeah, I’m going to need an actual link, bro. I’ve been active in this game since launch and I’ve actively followed info released by Anet, especially prior to launch, and I never heard one peep about player housing being even possibly being a feature, only that “we’ll think about it”. I’m sorry, but I can’t take your word for it.
Also, no one can accurately say how many people want this housing thing. It may be a majority of the player base, it may be a minority, it may even be an insignificant number, no one knows. Maybe this is worth putting in the game, maybe it isn’t, I don’t have strong feelings about it either way. But just because someone or even several someones want a feature doesn’t mean it has to be put in. No game can have everything everyone wants.

you can turn them off in the game settings tab of the game . and you can even turn off your own sounds too. but we still will hear you and we can still hear our sounds from items like dreamer . and back packs like the hoho tron and so forth .
so you open up the game go to the little cog wheel on the top left side of the screen.
from their you look for game options . and then go to settings from their to sound settings and right at the bottom of the tab is where you can turn all that stuff off or on if you like .
also too you can turn your music volume down in that same tab and a few other sounds as well too .

I think this would be a good add for the game its self . given how much of it I did in world of Warcraft . and in real life got to say I fully enjoy both and hope the drevs add it. and let us use our catch for crafting like wow does
a year and a half hiatus you was gone when it all happened . and was add to the game and even tho I am not in favor with the dps add-ons . even tho the one left now is legal to use as others have point out . and I am more than ok with it long as it stays legal

i do not see or have one problem at all with this . as a vet of this game and guild wars its self .
i fully think did the right thing here for the new players that was not around and playing the game to get the old rewards from ls season one . yup not a problem with that at all .
nor do i have a problem with them giving out one free chest on the trade post . and buy more if they want to . i think it is a good thing they do it like this .and hope they keep right on doing it too. for this very reason . at least the new people will be able to do their rewards tracks for them .
you can turn them off now by using the settings tab found in the game
no please don’t let there be a graphic overhaul :< my ancient old pc wouldn’t be able to handle it! T__T even now i struggle to get a stable 60 fps at all ..
and my pc doesn’t support anything higher than a dx9.
Besides the current graphics in gw2 are good!
it’s only those with super highend pcs that want the overhaul because they can afford it!
but the fact is that Anet developed the game this way with both mid end and low end pcs in mind! so everybody could play it decently even on old pcs! so don’t be selfish and only think of yourselves and your highend computers!
well look at it from this point of view . if that does happen as a lot of us players want given the even more fact 4K is pretty normal these days for main use standards .
should this game get too much to play at least you can play wow. that is if they do not upgrade their low end specs yet again in the next pack they will put out . and wow is not that bad at all nor is ESO too both are very fun games . as well as this one

not sure why it is your hitting them servers when you should be hitting the NA servers . as you are from the usa . and as techs from the game its self do not seam to answer these posts at all .

It’s why I probably won’t ever get to make one of the newer style legendaries, since you have to do fractals, and I’m betting no one wants me to tag along.
I did manage an old school Bifrost before HoT, and did Aurora, so that was fun.
It’s just not fun. Even if you “can” do it. People always assume that if you’re against meters you’re a bad player, but that’s not true. Whether I know what I’m doing or just kind of bumbling around, either way, the "meter’ makes it unfun. It’s like being policed by people I don’t even know, and since we don’t know each other there is a free pass to be jerks.
It’s unfun. I can’t tell you how many times in WoW we’d down a new boss and the first thing everyone would do is start comparing their meters to see who “beat” who. Uhhh… didn’t we just collectively beat the boss? Why are we now beating each other when we are supposed to be a team?
Maybe I just don’t have the same competitive mentality and therefore don’t “get” it. I’ve always hated this DPS meter stuff though. It’s a pass to be mean, unhelpful, and it causes real anxiety for a lot of folks to know that we’re all essentially being spied on by total strangers. I could count on one hand the times I saw someone use DPS meter information as a learning tool. The number of times I saw someone use it as a free pass to be rude? Boy, I’d need to grow 200 more hands to count that.
I have to agree with you on this fully !! and I will not say which one of the two dps meters it is but I can say when pof comes out next month one of thos said dps meters will be fully dead and thankfully never ever coming back . bad part is that it will still leave us in the same stuck point .with the other one and all these well not too bright dps meters peeps running around . trying to take away from our fun in the game . personally when I see people in the game or forums talking about this topic . I put them in the blocked list in game . so at least it saves me some headaches their .
