Yes, it would be nice if we were able to salvage sentinel gossamer insignias from our current armor. Since molten facility went away, there is still no way to obtain them besides the TP.
They made the sentinel inscription available with ascended weaponcrafting, i am confident that the insignia will also be available from the guild commendations vendor.

I opened 38 yesterday, got 1 charged lodestone, 2 charged cores and 9 t6 mats, its rng.
You need a larger sample size. I usually break even if I sell all the materials after opening 250 bags. Now it’s not even close.
Considering that each t6 fine and rare mat has a drop rate of less than 1% from heavy loot bags, your sample size of 500 is small as well.
You dont even provide accurate info on your drops and just say “considerably less”.

I think I’ve only gotten runes and and sigils from exotics, as well as mats. Or you sure you get these from salvaging? I thought they were crafted only, after buying the recipe.
Certain ori imbued inscriptions can only be obtained by salvaging non-crafted exotics. The ones on the table that are shaped like an upside down orange tear are salvage only. The ones that look like a block of wood are crafted only. Ii don’t know what the answer is for named exotics, however.
You are nearly correct, with 2 exceptions:
The Settlers and Assassins Inscriptions are both tear shaped but arent aquired via salvaging. The Settlers Recipe drops from the karka queen and Assassins is the old Travelers recipe. But as both inscriptions got introduced in the same patch (ascended weapon crafting) as the other new inscriptions, they also got the new icon.
The 6 Salvageable Inscriptions are:
Soldier
Dire
Shaman
Rabid
Magi
Cavalier
Any non crafted Exotic weapon with either of those stat combinations has a chance to drop the related inscription upon salvage.
Keep in mind though, that the weapon needs to be salvageable, so no wvw weapons or karma weapons, cant be a crafted weapon and a master/mystic salvage kit only gives you a 25% chance to receive and inscription, a bl salvage kit gives you a 50% chance.

It’s 65 I understand. But how do you explain 2-73 on my ranger?
I think the difference comes from crafting crits.
For every critical crafting success, you get a 50% bonus of crafting exp but not for regular xp. The more you crit, the less discoveries/crafting you need to do to get to 400/500, eventually lowering the regular exp you get in the process.
So using crafting boosters actually saves you some material costs but it lowers the exp you gain.

I salvage between 50-100 rares per day and started using my salvage-o-matic instead of master kits since thursday for them.
Seems to have the same droprate for ectos/major upgrades as master salvage kit.

I mean ools was cost 800 gems before. From achi chest players can get 400 (50%). So… Now price is 1k gems, so to 50% we need 100 more gems.
But Anet never said that the gem reward from the Achi chests should be worth half a permanent gathering tool.

They raised the price because now it is account bound. You can take your Molten Pick to the trader, make sure it’s in your bag rather than your hero panel, and exchange it for the account bound version. That way you only need one for all your alts as long as you are willing to transfer it via your bank.
If they are selling one per account rather than one per character, of course it will cost more. Even with the extra expense, you can overall spend far less on the tools with this new functionality.
I know that the tools are acc bound now. But if it still will costs 1k gems I want 100 gems more in massive achiev chest.

When on Trading Post was Molten Alliance Mining Pick for 800 gems I bought it. Now Arena Net add Dreamcleaver Logging Axe which costs 1k gems. Arena Net, If another tools will costs 1k gems I want 500 (not 400) gems in Massive Achievement Chest. Ok, but players whose reached more than 5k Achievement Points may feel very, very bad. So… You should lower price of gathering tools back to 0,8k gems.
The gathering tools are account bound now, hence the increase in price.

This is entirely how it works, as every new item needs a seperate item code and design.
Race has to be differed as it is cultural, height and hairstyle has nothing to do with it, though.

Interestingly, prices for Vicious Claws have not moved much at all, despite supply dropping to 1.5k. The same is true for most of the other T6 mats. Only Powerful Blood has really spiked above the band.
I’ve actually heard that the Vial versions of the recipes to make Quiver of a Thousand Arrows and There with Yakkington don’t work anymore either. Can anybody with the appropriate mats confirm or deny this?
These two occurrences are related. You cannot make Quiver of a Thousand Arrows and There with Yakkington with Bloodstone Dust, whereas the other 8 recipes were added. You can still make both with the “old way.” There is therefore less demand for Vicious Claws as a result.
Powerful Blood will have spiked first, because ’zerker gear always gets made first/most.
Thanks for the info that The Quiver of a Thousand Arrows and Yakkingtons Tale still work with mist essence. At least this confirms for me that those recipes and the selectable stats on them are working as intended and are not an oversight from the patch when mf got removed from gear.
I am not a big fractal guy, i am maybe lvl 15 or so but got 2 mist essences along the way and crafted one of each (selected celestial and zerker stats).
It makes me wonder though, that people rather spend around 25g more to get a zerker backpiece with powerful blood, rather than farming one mist essence and craft it with claws and select zerker stats.
I think now is the best time to get into fractals if you didnt like it before.
I guess most people just dont know about the fact that you can choose stats when crafting with claws, essentially making 1 Vial of Mist Essence worth 25g to you, if you consider that you need 250 bloods and blood is 10s more expensive than claws.

I would buy the salvage o matic, if i wouldnt have it already. It seems to be bugged since the Fractured Patch and salvages upgrades at a rate of Master Salvage Kits now.

Yeah, only recipes that were obtained via discovery got reset.
As you need recipe sheets for the inscription/insignia as well as for the armor/weapon you want to craft, non of those gonna be reset.
I am still unsure though, if they implement ascended armor crafting the same way they did with asc weaponcrafting.
In my opinion, there is a chance that they introduce ascended armor recipes for each insignia, just like the inscriptions but then release recipes for ascended boxes/satchels of armor sets instead of for each individual piece of armor.

I think the time gating of quartz and charged quartz, as well the different crafting model of celestial gear in which you need a separate recipe for the inscription/insignia as well as for the weapon/armor piece was just introduced as testing phase for ascended crafting.

I think the charged crystals may become non-account bound at some point, but will still be time-gated, much like the ascended mats, encouraging people to refine them and then sell them if they like.
I don’t see where Celestial is so much better than any other stat combination to the degree that it is so limited in its creation. Kind of unnecessarily expensive and punative, or that is my impression.
The timegated ascended mats also are account bound, only the ascended crafting ingredients that you make out of them, are sellable, so your comparison is a little bit flawed.
For example:
Lum of Mithrillium is time gated and not sellable, but you can craft deldrimor steel ingots with them, which are sellable.
So I dont think that Charged Quartz will be sellable directly.
Maybe they make Celestial Inscriptions/Insignias or Exquisite Quartz Jewels tradeable, though.

Unfortunately Celestial Backpieces arent obtainable with Quartz.
The only way to obtain Celestial backpieces is to craft Quiver of a Thousand Arrows or Yakkingtons Tale, which after MF got removed from gear, lets you choose your stats before equipping and celestial is an option.
I crafted both about 2 months ago but I am not sure, if they disabled those recipes by now.

After reading alot of the hate The Flamekissed armor got I got to thinking about Anets situation and how they could really make a good change to the game. But first I want everybody to know I understand why your mad at it but at the same time think its a little silly what they should do is remove all the flame armor at the moment and redesign it the Medium and heavy look awful the light was the only good one.Now for the idea I have what if Anet were to start making all the Cultural Armor like that but through the Mystic forge and by that I mean you buy the original Cultural Armor you want then go to The Mystic Forge Then By adding the piece of Armor you want, 5 Ectos, 5 Lode Stones of your choosing, and 50 Thermocatalytic Reagent could change the armor piece to look Fiery,Icy,Electric,Corrupted ,ect and only have that on the Cultural t3 armor for all the races I think this would make the game alot more interesting and people could have a cool look with a little effort. I know this may seem like a big project for ANet but they have put out alot of big projects before and pretty fast at that what do you guys think Id like to hear what you have to say about my Idea and upvote so Anet can see if you like it.

I don’t know why we’re even talking about it as a 10sec confusion stack, since getting the 6/6 implies you have the confusion duration from the runes.
Henceforth, a 13sec confusion stack on an 8sec icd.

The rise of the blood prices is due to the added recipes for ascended zerker backpieces that can be crafted with bloodstone dust now instead of mist essence.

I think its only 4 stat combos, each with an offensive or defensive infusion slot.
With mist essence, there were 5 different stat combos available.
I guess they left out the Quiver of a Thousand Arrows and Yakkingtons Tale, both had magic find on them.

I wonder if the infusion upgrade still requires :

As the infusion adds AR, i think its fine to still use mist essence for it.

According to patch notes, you can now craft 8 different ascended backpieces in the mf with bloodstone dust instead of mist essence.
I just tried this and it looks bugged, unless they changed the recipe entirely.

The 6/6 bonus on Runes of Perplexity now have a 8 second cooldown. This was excluded from the patch notes, but we’re in the process of getting them added.

What do you guys think made the price of karka shells go up steadily to 6-7s in the last 3 months while supply is still higher than demand?
I dont see much use for it at this price.
The Apothecary Inscription/Insignia is not cheap to craft compared to the other ones, so demand for lvling to 500 cant be the reason.
Sure, you can make infusions with it, but i am not sure, anybody actually crafts infusions in the mystic forge, due to the high price of over 50g each.

Most of the resources that were/are needed for ascended crafting were not obtained during the QJ.
Sure, some extra T6 materials were dumped into the market which helped with crafting exotics. A lot of cores/lodestones were also pumped into the market which crashed their prices.
But the mass of mid tier wood/ore needed for ascended crafting? How were these markets pumped up during the QJ to the point where the market needed a new massive sink for these materials?
Mid Tier wood/ore/cloth/leather was made available through lootbags that dropped during the jubilee and scarlets invasions.
Also, low and mid lvl areas got populated through the invasions, giving you the opportunity to harvest the nodes while farming the invasions.

I dont see a reason why they wouldnt implement this for armor as well, so save your tokens.

In other posts, the Devs had confirmed that the OPs claims are based off of misunderstandings.

Most PVT Gear is acquired by other means, like badges of honor in wvw, karma merchants in orr temples or dungeon token vendors. Those items arent tradeable on the TP.

However, as the soldiers inscription was added to the game (via salvaging weapons with soldier stats) when ascended weaponcrafting was introduced, my guess would be it will be the case for the soldiers insignia as well, once ascended armor crafting goes live.

And of course Anet could have avoided such obvious errors if they had actually hired someone with some sort of training or education in the economics field instead of just randomly assigning control of the TP to one of their interns.
