Right, because doing a full level 10+ fractal run is equal in difficulty to doing daily achievements.

If you want to get your ascended rings by just doing your dailys, then you have that option.

Doing your dailys for 10 days shouldn’t be the same as doing a level 10+ full fractal run once a day for 10 days.

People who aren’t willing to do fractal still have the option to get their rings, they just have to wait longer.

Is Triforge ascended soul bind?

It’s there so people who have obtained the triforge pendant before hand aren’t completely screwed over.

It’s the same for fractals and it works well there.

What’s the recipe?

We need context. It could be the group being kitten and kicking you for no reason, or it could be that you just weren’t pulling your weight and weren’t good enough for lupi. I have kicked several people for that second reason many times.

It’s not uncommon for me to do arah and get to lupi and have someone who just constantly dies over and over. Die, res, run back, die again. If that’s you, and you’re in my group, you’re getting kicked.

Ascended amulets will be laurel exclusive.

My thief has 11k health and does fine in easier dungeons.

Pistol whip spam means I evade 80% of the time, while churning out just as much DPS as a warrior, if not more.

Envy plays a big role in this. Not saying you are or are not jealous. But subconsciously you get “tired” of seeing them because you notice them more often knowing that for you (or the average joe, not you in particular) they are hard/impossible to get.

Do you get tired of all the molten weapons? CoF sets? AC weapons? Destroyer weapons? Corrupted weapons?
Doubt you notice them most of the time or if you do doubt you think anything of it because if you wanted one you could get it, therefore your envy isn’t telling you to resent it.

That’s just my theory on it, in the end I stand by my point that Foostivoo > any legendary. He solos dungeons for me.

I’ve only seen one person with corrupted weapons, it was some guy dual wielding the daggers which I thought looked pretty cool.

Whatever the hell you want. There is nothing, NOTHING in this game for you to do that requires a grind.

I seriously cannot believe SoS is trying to act like they’re suddenly at some massive population disadvantage.

Why do you care SO MUCH about what others do? Why do you feel like this needs to affect you? Stop crying because of what others do and worry about yourself.

Of all the postings on gw2lfg.com only half of them are for speed run farming groups (this is of just the LFM) the rest you should have no problem joining. In fact if I were to start a warrior/mes group and then try to start a group with anyone welcome it would be much faster for me to start a group where everyone is welcome. I’d have a group formed in less than 2 minutes. So there is NO EXCUSE for you to sit around and kitten and moan about this. There is NO EXCUSE for you to not be able to get a group other than that you are too lazy to do it, and after seeing ONE POSTING for ONE GROUP you go “oh well, guess I can’t do it.”

In fact as I’m typing this I’m going to attempt to join a group on my ele.

SoS are the weaker of the 3 servers now if you ask me. Oceanic we may have the edge, but overall after all the xfers i would say its JQ > BG > SoS.
We are definitely outnumbered from around 11am central to 1am central

Never thought id see the day when i say SoS need some NA transfers. Filling 2 of 4 maps (sun-thurs) just wont cut it against the numbers jq and bg are putting out now.

SoS definitely still has the advantage in numbers and coverage.

Oh no, a 2 hour area where you’re outnumbered, that must compensate for the other 22 hours of course.

It’s just that at that time while JQ and BG have people running around various borderlands, taking stuff, SoS has 100+ people sitting inside the jump puzzle in EB.

I haven’t really seen evidence of it this matchup, but last week pretty much every day around that time (at least during the week) then jade quarry would have 6/7 keeps and are just rolling borderlands, while sea of sorrows has 100+ people inside the jump puzzle.

For example, last week I was doing said jump puzzle and came across this at the chest area. It was pretty ridiculous not only because of how many people were in that one area, but also because it was completely pointless, anyone could just use the mystic fountain and waltz right through. After this SS was taken about 10 minutes later JQ took another keep. And keep in mind this is just what SoS had at the chest area, there were at least 50/60 more throughout the jump puzzle. Now if all these people and siege had been inside that keep we were taking, they could have defended it.

I have never been asked to link my armor yet for a cof speed run group. If I was, I would probably leave. CoF farming groups can get pretty nasty.

i didn’t think full berserker gear was a must for cof speed runs anyway. my mesmer uses berserker weapons and valkyrie armor and i’ve done just fine on the many, many speed runs i’ve done there.

When it comes to a mesmer in CoF speed runs, no one really cares what kind of gear you use. As long as you can use timewarp, and portal through rocks, you’re good to go.

If cof is too hard for you then sorry, you’re not “average” you’re below average.

I’ve timed a run with 4 warrior’s/mesmer, it takes 5-7 mins. A run with a pug takes 7-10 mins. Is 3 min’s really that vital?

Lets say a singe run nets you 60 silver.

10 minute runs (6 runs per hour) nets you 3 gold 60 silver in one hour.

7 minute runs (8.5 runs per hour) nets you 5 gold 10 silver in one hour.

So yes, 1 gold 50 silver is a significant difference.

But wait! There’s more!

If you’ve noticed, after a run that nets you 20 token, 26 silver, then with a 10 minute group you’ll then get 5 tokens 13 silver. Then half of that, then half of that.

If you can run fast enough, you actually outrun DR. You’ll continually get 20 tokens, 26 silver each run. So not only are you doing more runs per hour, you’re getting more per run.

There’s still plenty of people running this dungeon, and you should be able to find a group for it in under 5 minutes no matter what your goal is, provided you aren’t lazy and just check for a “LFM” post every now and then.

I really don’t get the baseless hatred in this game for anyone who wants to do something at peak efficiency. Only thing that makes sense is jealousy, people who get denied from these groups because they tried to join when they didn’t meet the requirements specified, and then out of jealousy they hate on them.

Just found a group for TA explore in under 5 minutes. If you can’t get a group for other dungeons then it’s because you’re too lazy to go and get a group.

The completion reward of 20 tokens 26 silver is what is affected by DR. Usually it gives you 10 tokens/13 silver, then 5 tokens and 6.5 silver and so on.

Now, even with this taking place you still get :

14 silver from slave driver (with omnomberry)

10 silver from the chest after alcolytes

21 silver from the last boss (with omnomberry)

as well as 3 bags of coins for about 7 silver

So a little over 50 silver just from that. You also get any rewards from chests (today I got an exotic staff called death wish that I sold for 11 gold)

So lets say an average of 60 silver per run. If you’re doing runs that take 10 minutes (including time spent entering and starting the run) then that’s 60 s x 6 for 3 gold 60 silver every hour, plus several tokens. Lets say you get 90 tokens an hour (usually it’ll be more) that’s 3 rares so if you get just 3 ectos with that then you’re getting 4 gold 50 silver in one hour.

And here’s where things get nice. You can actually outrun the DR. If you’ve ever wondered why people don’t want to take necros, guardians, eles, engineers to CoF this is why, because that extra couple of minutes can make the difference of whether or not you beat DR.

If you run fast enough, you’ll continue to get 20 tokens, 26 silver at the completion of each run. So that 60 silver per run becomes 86 which means with 6 runs an hour then you’re getting 5 gold 16 silver in coin, plus 150+ tokens each run (which on average will net you around 4-5 ectos) meaning you’re making 6 gold an hour or more.

It’s completely unparalleled money for time when it comes to PvE in this game.

It’s why I expect it will be nerfed in some way, either the path becoming harder or the rewards becoming lower, in the upcoming patch.

Seems weird that they’d add rings to the laurel system but not add amulets to the fractal system.

Accessories don’t have skins lol, they aren’t visible.

Exotic jewelry is pretty much dead. It’s easier to get ascended than it is to get exotic.

I spent about 90 gold on my triforge pendant and soon it will be obsolete. It’s sad but it’s something I’ll live with.

Will crowns be the only way to obtain these? Or will we be able to use means similar to obtaining the other ascended gear, such as drops from the daily jade maw kill and/or pristine fractal relics?

Will there be any other ways of getting ascended amulets other than laurels?

I’d like something to do with mine as well.

I’m predicting a way to force you to do the bridge instead of it being optional.

A group of people doing something for the first time doesn’t know what to do, shocking. That’s not the fault of fractals. Hell how do you think we got through it on day 1 when fotm first came out? We went in there and figured out how to do it.

It’s pretty obvious that CoF, at the very least path 1, is going to get changed in the path. Speed 1 is ridiculous coin with unparalleled golf for time returns.

So I’m kind of curious as to what changes to CoF will be coming in the upcoming patch.

OK..I’m still not convinced, and perhaps I should of prefaced this thread by indicating I was getting 0 results from AC 30 token items. CoF items salvage fine, but AC has yielded nothing but iron ore.

Today I salvaged another 12 AC 30 token items, and again I’ve received 0 ectoplasms, whereas when I salvage CoF I do get results.

So..In total I’ve salvaged 24+ AC items in the last few days and I’ve never receive ectoplasms. *This appears to be more than just bad luck. Can anyone confirm that they’ve received an ectoplasm from salvaging a 30 token AC item within the last day or so? *
