If you can’t manage CoF or AC explore, then GW2 probably is too hard for you.
To touch on that, why does it take 20 or possibly 30 days to get a ring? When it only takes 10 days to buy one running daily fractals, even less if you do more than one.

Fine that’s an excellent alternative, I don’t think you understood my argument tho, it takes 10 days to get it through fractals, that’s assuming you run once a day. It would take me 3 days, for some, it would take one, one day, so why does one have to spend 20 to 30 days to get something, that could have been gotten by day 10, my argument is, rings should be 10 laurels, maximum amount of time it would have taken you to get it normal way.
Because doing daily achievements is much easier and shorter than doing fractals.
Also, you people are incredibly ungrateful. You get a new reward added to your daily achievement. You’re getting extra reward, plain and simple. And then you complain and say it’s not enough.
Why do you care what others are doing so much?
There’s no required grind in guild wars 2.
No issues getting into fractal groups.
The hell are you doing that makes it take an hour per day for your daily?
Underwater kills: About 5 minutes
Crafting: 1 minute
Gathering: 5 minutes
Events: about 3-4 minutes total
Dodges: 2 minutes
1 fractal run is usually enough
Because you HAVE to have an ascended necklace right? Exotic just doesn’t cut it.
We all know those extra 6 stat points are totally game breaking.
I’ve fought him 3 times since the patch, 2 of those times were with pugs. Each time we killed it on the first try.
Also, you take a lot of damage that could have been avoided. Lupi does his massive aoe and you just kinda stand there and eat when you could have:
Dodged out of the way
Used arcane shield
Use obsidian armor
Use swirling winds.
You also tend to waste abilities a lot. Things like using arcane armor and obsidian flesh when you’re not in danger. Within the first minute you:
Use arcane armor needlessly.
Use obsidian flesh when nothing is attacking you
Use swirling winds when lupi isn’t using his AOE, he actually uses the AOE right as swirling winds expires.
Part of the reason you take so much damage is because you blow these abilities, and then when it’s time where you actually need them, they’re on cooldown.
Oh and earth auto is better than fire for DPS unless it’s a target that’s immune to bleed (which lupi isn’t)
No offense but your group kinda carried you through that fight.

No one’s gonna pay to transfer to a server just for that. You’re not gonna get more than a small handful of people
They drop from 10, it’s just 12 gives more relics.
If you do level 20 with no AR, then dodge the agony attacks.
Underground is long and it’s one of the more difficult fractals (not too hard though) but it also has the best drops.
Volcano, now that’s just a pain in the kitten Especially at 30+ when the veterans that try to knock the humans into the lava have a ton of health and run faster.
If I join a group for AC and see it’s filled with people levels 40 to 70 and leave, how is that being an elitist? I know I can get a group with 4 other level 80s in under 5 minutes, so I choose to run with them.
Do I owe you my presence? Do I have some obligation to run with you? No, I don’t owe you anything. I am under no obligation to run with you.

I’d like you to look at the system in place in Fractals with regards to Fractal Weapons. Your designer mind should see something wrong.
In the case of fractals, there is a different reward system in place for obtaining the skins and the items there. It is not the same as the dungeon reward scheme, because fractals serve a different purpose than dungeons.
I will also mention that I am not the authority on reward schemes – I see trends, play the game, experience the content, and and draft proposals to the leads and those responsible for reward structures. I have brought up proposed changes to the reward scheme for the fractals, but it is not my place to be the decider on those issues.
Even though fractals serves a different purpose, it’s still the same issue of:
Do content, get epic reward, feel bad because said reward is useless to you.
A fractal rifle and mace are sitting in my bank collecting dust because I don’t have any character that could use one

We never kick anyone but yesterday we took one random guardian and on the end we was so close to kick that !@#$.
- 32 fractals and he dont know what is combo field and finisher,
- We start in water. He multiple times click on leave this fractal because “dolphin phase is imposible to make”.
- Mindlesly rush into mobs in Ascalon and die on every group and cry.
- On boss die in the middle of meteors and starts yelling why noone come and ress him.
- In Colossus fractal die 5 times for too many hammerstacks and twice while pickup hammer with low HP.
- He also kill last cultist so mobs spawn in both sides.
- Our mesmer must port him through winds because he still falling (We try him learn how to use stability but after 10 minutes fo chating we found when he dont buy any stability skill at all and havent skill points for that (on lvl 32 fractals kitten .
- At all he die and cry on almost every encounter.
- His failuring dont stop him in writing tons of advices about what we must do what we do wrong and how bad players we are.Some players simply deserve a kick.
I would have kicked him. If someone isn’t pulling their weight then they should get kicked, plain and simple.

The WvW meta game does have some work to do. Engineers are non existant, and necros numbers are few. Thiefs, mesmers, and guardians are most prevelent. I had a thief come up behind me and do a chain of heart seekers, each one in a row. I was downed really fast and check combat log. around 3 heart seekers, each doing 3K damage plus….That’s 9k damage within about 2 seconds (on top of the mesmer that was bursting me). That is just insanity. But honestly, i just want them to fix culling issues. Personally I’m still having people appear on my screen late when it comes to stealth, and zergs vs zergs….wowzers. I think if we can fix that culling, we can truly assess the OP of thieves.
If you went down to 9k damage, then the issue isn’t the thief, it’s you.
Monthly achievements aren’t mandatory to complete. It’s not like if you don’t do them they delete your account.

Ah, sorry about that. As a designer I click my mind into a state where I see a problem and try to mentally design a solution to it regardless of its level of sarcasm. That being said, I do like item rewards, but there’s a downside to it in that it’s not always the item you want. There are other games I have played where I would kill a boss 20-30 times and not get the specific item I wanted, and I would just have to keep at it and hope I got lucky. I much prefer the system we have right now where there is a guaranteed token reward to allow me to buy whatI want… although I have been giving thought to a system that also reflects our personal story reward structure, where you could potentially choose one of three things offered at random. Again, just thoughts, but I’m always trying to develop better ways to reward players in dungeons.
You mean like finishing a fractal and then getting a fractal rifle even though you don’t play a profession that uses a rifle?

Don’t quite get what’s being asked.
It could be just the Triforge being uninfusable.
They announced that Laurel rewards wouldn’t include Agony because that’s Fractal-specific. (and I guess it’d be confusing to new players… which begs the question: why have agony at all?)
Given that, I’d be surprised if the Laurel reward amulets had an “infused” version since the Triforge Pendant doesn’t.
I thought about it and, possibly, they haven’t introduced the infused version yet to temporarily gate the Fractals (to a max of level 39).
That seems to have been the overall goal with the recent update. Limit people from going past where Agony should have restricted them.
They only said you wouldn’t be able to get infused rings directly from the laurel merchant. You can still buy a regular ascended ring and then upgrade it in the mystic forge.
The cancel button is only available to the one who initiated the kick vote.

Don’t have to worry about an ascended amulet seeing as how I already have one, as well as having 2 ascended rings. (actually more like 20)

I think that might be the case.
One thing to note is that when originally asked about any potential upgrades for the triforge pendant, the developers stated that there were no plans for the triforge, this wasn’t too long before the patch.
It seems the ascended triforge is something that was added near the end of the development cycle for the patch. It’s possible that it was added after infusion recipes for the other amulets were implemented and they simply forgot to add an infusion recipe for the triforge.
I probably sold over 100 ectos at 10 to 15 silver each.
This is why I always try to be the one that opens the instance. If you kick me, you all get kicked.
Report someone for kick from party abuse would be nice, though it will definitely be spammed to death by people who report others for kicking, even though they got kicked for a perfectly valid reason.
The price of rings is fine. Do you really think you should do something 10x easier and shorter (dailys) than level 10+ fractals and get a ring in the same amount of time?
Add irrelevant info here to bump without getting infracted because bumping a thread is somehow a bad thing.
It seems like something that was left out of the game.
As of right now (barring the other amulets as no one has one yet) it is the only ascended item in the game that cannot be infused for more agony resist.
For example:
Lost seal of Usoku: +71 power, +50 vit, +50 toughness, +32 power, +18 vit, +18 toughness
Lost seal of Usoku (infused) +71 power, +50 vit, +50 toughness,
+32 power, +18 vit, +18 toughness +5 agony resistance
For those who aren’t aware. This isn’t about buying a +5 ar infusion and putting it in the item, this is about upgrading it to have the (infused) in the name to have +5 ar without using up the infusion slot.
From what I and others who have this item can tell, this upgrade does not exist.
In this SS you can see that despite having the ascended triforge in my inventory, it doesn’t show up as an available material for the mystic forge.
You can’t actually progress in the achievement, you just get a glimpse at what it’s currently set to be for that month.
Also, as a developer in another thread stated, that’s just what’s currently slated for that month, and it’s subject to change.

That’s why I look at the name and builds for red flags before entering any dungeon with people.
You SHOULD tell them their builds suck and why their builds suck. It helps them improve their own gaming experience.

Unfortunately most of the people who run those types of builds have had it explained to them many times. They then refuse to admit that their build isn’t good and refuse to listen to what others tell them.
Not all of them. Some of them will talk to someone more experienced and improve their build. This was actually pretty common a while ago, but now a days someone using that build has already been told it’s bad, why it’s bad, and how it could be improved, but don’t care.
Ascended amulets are only available from laurels or upgraded a triforge pendant. (which is really just for people who already had a triforge, would not recommend buying a triforge now)

This gives you a choice. Do something easier and wait a bit longer for rings, or do something a bit harder and get them faster.
I don’t think dailies are close to fractals in terms of difficulty. Fractals are kittenly easy once you’ve got them on farm , and are merely a time sink. Compared to that, some dailies can be a real pain in the puppy if you can’t find that last event.

I agree. So nerf the rate of gaining ascended through easy fractal 10 or seriously up the difficulty on fractals. The time should be about the same since fractals are just as easy as dailies if not more since fractals are more predictable.
Oh please, I can finish my dailys in 15 minutes without even paying attention.
Level 10 fractals aren’t exactly difficult, but they’re nowhere near as easy as daily achievements.

This has been happening before the patch. First time it happened I thought it was just bad luck. Second and third time I start ruling out bad luck. When it happened today for the 5th time I realized that something wasn’t working properly.
It’s not the quality of the items, but the amount of items. I usually got 5/6 or more from the chest (not counting bag of coins and fractal relics) and now I’m getting 3.
Not just dodging but knowing how to play and build your character.
When you start low level fractals they’ll be filled with 5 signet warriors that never switch from greatsword. They die out the higher you go. There’s players who clearly have no clue how to play their character properly. When I run AC I frequently see eles that run a 4 signet build (last run had an ele with signet of restoration, signet of fire, signet of water, signet of air) that almost never switch attunements and it just makes me think “wow I’m so glad I don’t see these guys in my fractal runs.” I don’t say that to them of course.
It is true, people will always find someone to complain about.
Why are you complaining about monthlys without even waiting to see what next months requirements are?

I don’t want to sound like an elitist or anything, but higher level fractals aren’t easy. I’ve done at least one path of every dungeon. I haven’t done arah path 4 but barring that, 30+ fractals seems more difficult than any other PvE content I’ve experienced in this game.
Higher levels you need to have everyone pulling their weight. Plain and simple. You need to be able to pull your own weight or you bring the party down. It’s not about being an elitist, it’s about wanting to be able to get it done. And honestly we can explain everything a million times over, but if you’re not quite skilled enough for high level fotm, or you use a poor build, then you just cause wipes.
People like to complain about elitist but look at it this way, if one person isn’t skilled enough to complete the fractal and is constantly dying and doesn’t pull his weight, whose in the wrong here? If you can’t pull your weight then you’re a burden on the party and should be replaced.
I bought more picks/axes/sickles than I’ll ever need.

What if I think players who are able to adapt to new scenarios and seek out different ways of achieving dailies are better than people who play the same content that doesn’t change over and over again?

Then do it. Fractals are much more difficult and require more of a time and energy investment than daily achievements. If you’re putting more effort into getting rings with fractals, you should be able to get them faster.

Right, because doing a full level 10+ fractal run is equal in difficulty to doing daily achievements.
If you want to get your ascended rings by just doing your dailys, then you have that option.
Doing your dailys for 10 days shouldn’t be the same as doing a level 10+ full fractal run once a day for 10 days.
People who aren’t willing to do fractal still have the option to get their rings, they just have to wait longer.
A lv10 fractal is easily done in 20-30 minutes.
Your daily solo will take you about the same amount of time, especially the one asking for “events” and underwater kills and gathering and kill variety.
If you think lv10 fractal is hard, I don’t know what to say to you. Other than you’ve clearly not run lv30 or Arah/Sorrow’s Embrace.

There is no way you’re doing a level 10 fractal in 20 minutes, even if you do swamp, underwater, snowblind

However lately I’ve only been getting the relics, bags of coins, and 3 random items.
Today I did a level 34 and the chest gave me:
