I looked up your history and see that your rating is pretty high, but you took a long break from rated arenas for a while. Your win rate since returning isn’t great. This could be for many reasons, but this is something that should be accounted for in matchmaking.
One of the features of Glicko is that when not playing your rating gets more volatile over time. It is assumed that your rating becomes less confident after periods of inactivity. This means that once you do start playing again your rating should adjust quickly to your new skill level. I reviewed the code as I didn’t see this happen with your rating and found a bug I’ll be fixing hopefully before leagues begin.
Does your guild do missions at a time that’s inconvenient for you? Do you find yourself lacking commendations for your ascended trinkets? Than [BANK] is possibly for you!
Bankers Against Neo Koalas is a personal guild that I made for personal storage. Now with the changes to guild mission timers, I have missions available. The guild I’m in does missions on Saturday night, a time that frequently conflicts with my work schedule.
So, on Monday nights (tentative) around 8pm EST I’ll be doing guild missions with anyone that wants to join along to get their commendations. As I get more favor I will hopefully be unlocking more missions through my own funds (though donations through the guild bank are definitely welcome).

They’ll probably change it eventually. If you don’t want to wait, wait until about 5 minutes after it spawns. You should get an empty or sparsely populated map and be able to get turned into a crystal fairly easy.
I played against a full 5 man premade with 4 other solo players earlier today. Completely destroyed them, 500 to 180. Oh and we had 2 thieves, one of which being myself.
I’ve never played an mmo where raiding was meant to give high currency rewards. Raids are where you go to get rare armor/weapon skins and other things that can only be obtained there.
Maybe if people actually read the prompt they would know that you get the win bonus at the end if you volunteer, regardless of results. As in, if you volunteer, get moved, and your team loses, you still get the rank points you would get if you didn’t switch and won + a bonus.
Why is the mistward armor soulbound? I finished the collection for mistward boots on my ele, only to find out that it’s soulbound and I can’t move it to my revenant.
They probably drop from the daily achievement chests you get from completing 3 fractals from 51 to 100. Not 100% sure though I got a ring from one yesterday so it seems they replaced the old bouncy chests.
Before the update you could do fractals up to level 50. After the update you can do fractals up to level 50. You lost absolutely nothing, the expansion only added new levels past 50. Hell you can probably do up to 60/70 without the expansion. You have lost absolutely nothing. The expansion only added new content past level 50 which you are not entitled to if you did not purchase the expansion. You can still do everything you could before the expansion, and more.
And I call complete bullkitten on you getting kicked from fractals for not having mastery. Especially on the first day of release. Most people won’t have fractal mastery unlocked, even if they own the expansion. Most likely you were kicked for being annoying/bad and tried to blame it on mastery. Either that or you’re just completely making it up. Just like how so many necro/rangers on the forums are “constantly” kicked from groups for their class, yet most necro/rangers I know have had it happen maybe 2 or 3 times total.
… I have 50 Tyria points to spend but no expansion, so yeah ppl actually have masteries! And they kittening kick player for not having it, next time I will do screens to show it, but not td, work awaits, just wanted to post bout it and check out how this develop when I come back. And I didn’t mean 50+ mostly, cos thsi happens UNDER 50 lvl too. And to add I’m not lying, this is the fact taht happens, and it will develop even further as ppl stop playing HoT content and come back to fractals they will realise taht hey can have good set-up with mastery ppl in a place of some guys that bought core game and were expecting to play a content thay paid for!
Honestly I think you’re full of it. I’ve never seen anyone get kicked for not having mastery since the update. Either it happened to you once and you use that as justification to claim it happens “all the time”, or your making it up. At least give us gold rewards from fractal, where’s the increase reward at? Everything seems to cost gold and I’ve been doing from 50 to 64 today I don’t see an increase in my gold lols ok maybe I got 1 or 2 ascended breathers to sell and the mini mew but where’s the gold?
The daily fractal achievements (to clear a specific fractal) give you keys to open the locked boxes you get at the end. Those boxes give you random stuff and junk items that can be vendored for 10s, 15s, or 1g. The achievements to clear 3 fractals of a certain level (1-20, 21-50, 51-100) work similar to the bouncy chests you would get at the end of fractals before the update. I’ve only done them once but I got a pristine relic, some +1 infusions, an ascended ring, and a junk item that vendors for 1 gold.
It seems like a bit of an increase in gold, though small. Maybe 10-15% more than before.
I had 70 boxes in the end and the keys I got from the dailies certainly weren’t enough to open the chest haha sure if you only have a few boxes to open you could use the keys the daily gave.. But if I wanna open my other boxes I gotta buy the keys myself lol. Unless I wait to play the daily Everyday to get keys I’m gonna eventually lose money. On the bright side I’m selling the chest on the tp now haha why spend 20 silver to open them when I can sell me for 40 silver
Yes, that’s correct that you don’t get enough keys from daily to open ALL of the chests. But with the keys you do get in addition to the daily rewards from the rewards from the “complete 3 fractals from this tier” achievements, it’s still slightly more gold than before, and it’s easier to get.

Did this at level 51, was pretty easy the adds felt as if they had less HP.
They changed the difficulty scaling on fractals so I’m sure level 50 is easier than before. It’ll probably be around 70 that fractals will be harder than 50 was before.
You don’t need to buy the expensive Agony infusions to run fractals. Just buy the 75 relic infusions, at most just buy the plus 5 infusions which only cost about 2g each or something. Don’t blow things out of proportion. A daily fractal gives you 1.4 gold alone not including drops, do 2 of those and you can already buy an infusion.
To do this though, you’d need Infused ascended trinkets/back pieces. This requires grinding lower level fractals to obtained the mist essences necessary to create infused pieces, correct?
By the time you hit 40 you’ll probably have a dozen shards of mists essence
41-50 has roughly a 16% chance to give an ascended armor or weapon chest. So unless you have no use for more ascended gear, then yes it’s worth.
I got an ascended shoulders chest. Getting this means I didn’t have to craft my ascended shoulders which would have cost me 5 globs of dark matter, 20 cyrstalline dust, 5 bolts of damask and 1 elonian leather square, and a few other mats I can’t be bothered to check now. The bolts alone would cost me over 80 gold. So that’s over 80 gold saved from that drop.
They’re either going to change the scaling to make level 100 fractals need less AR, add AR through fractal mastery, or make more powerful agony infusions available.
Necro is definitely NOT the best fractal class, probably one of the weakest, though that will change when HoT goes live.
For now just do the best you can and wait till Reaper is available and you can be effective. Right now necro is just mainly for running heat room in the reactor fractal.
Doesn’t the fact that it’s RNG completely negate anything meaningful that would otherwise be derived from your statistics? IE: lets say that there is a hard 16% chance that you get a drop. You can roll on that chance a billion times, however, your chance will always be 16%. Or maybe im wrong, which in retrospect is probably more likely… lol
You’re correct when assuming the statistics of the future roll. If you have a 6 sided die then the chances of rolling a 4 in an individual roll are 1 in 6 no matter what the past rolls are. So if you rolled 10 3s in a row then the odds of a 4 on your next roll are still 1 in 6, just like my odds of an ascended chest drop on my next 49 run are ~16%.
However what we’re saying is the odds of a chest over a period of time. So to use the dice analogy, you could roll the dice 10 times without getting a 4, and then figure the odds on rolling 10 times without a 4. You would get 5/6 (the odds of not rolling a 4) to the power of 10.
Happens when you fail a defense. Had a map that failed north because everyone started leaving with 40 seconds left. We managed to finish killing Teq with only 17 seconds left on the timer.

After 2 weeks of 49 and 40 daily, I have still yet to get a single chest drop. That’s not including the 2/3 weeks of doing 31-39 daily without getting an ascended chest drop.
Very unlucky, or quick question, has your personal level been at 41+ that whole time?
Yep. I actually had to run two without getting the reward chest the first day so that the third would have me at level 41+

Going by our drops spreadsheet, the combined ascended chest rate for 50s is ~16.43%. So unless my math is wrong, the chances of not getting an ascended chest in a week of 50s is (1 – .1643)^7, or ~28.5%.
It’s been so long since I did statistics, I was just thinking if its’ ~1/7 chance, then you should expect one every 7 days or so. Is it really only 28.5% chance of getting one in 7 days? just doesn’t seem intuitive, but that’s statistics!
.84 (chance of NOT getting a chest from 41-50) to the 7th power is .295 or a rougly 30% chance of not getting an ascended chest in a week.
.84 * .91 (chance of not getting a chest from 31-40) is .7644 (chance of not getting a chest if you run a 49 and a 40). .7644^7 = .1525 or a 15.3% chance of not getting an ascended chest in a week of 49s and 40s.
I’ve been running for 12 days now which has only a 4% chance of not getting an ascended chest after 12 days.
Which is why I was starting to think maybe I needed to do 50 instead since maybe the 16% drop rate I saw was really for 50 and not 49.
