Levelling alts, getting skins for my wardrobe, farming money, do guild missions, do dungeons, do events with my guild (mostly events we organise ourselves), living story (when it’s around).
~Sincerely, Scissors
And please add some zones already..
~Sincerely, Scissors
I agree the zone should stay. Even without the ship it’s still a nice place.

I know one thing. If dungeons were soloable, I would do them all every day.
They are :/
Through glitches maybe, but I mean legit. Also the fights would take so long if you do it alone, it wouldn’t be profitable.
Many dungeons have certain mechanics that require more than one player (like the lift and pull oozes part in AC)

I’m an Alt-aholic as wel, having 18 alts. But still, some of those observations (especially the eye color) is pretty impressive.

I couldn’t choose which characters to do so I entered 3 of each armor weight totaling to 9..
Hey no fair!
Maybe I should post a screenshot of all my 18 characters.
‘’Count me out for the contest though if you want, I have enough sets I won’t be getting anymore for a while’’ :P I don’t expect to be at an advantage, I just like the thread!
I know, just messing with you

It’s just absolutely ridiculous they can’t make all these amazing backpacks tradable.
The Balth backpiece is from PvP – of course it shouldn’t be tradable. It is an achievement reward.
Reward tracks were made for PvP players to get some extra profit from playing, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be tradeable, also it is NOT an achievement reward, it’s a “track” reward
There are plenty of other items that can be traded.
Actually, 90% of the items anet is adding are not tradable. They are either:
-ascended items that can only be crafted
-gemstore items
-Living Story items
-pvp reward track items
-fractal items
Only a fraction of what anet has added in the last months can be traded, and most of those skins aren’t really special.

I’m not just talking about the Balth backpiece, also the fractal capacitor, light of dwayna, shadow of grenth etc etc.
We can even trade legendaries, if there’s any ‘achievement reward’ that’s supposed to show prestige, it’s a legendary weapon. And they can be traded.

I already admitted I was wrong, no use to keep going on about it.
I wasn’t, I was responding to a post before continuing through the thread.
ehm.. yes you were by responding to a post that was already resolved

I’m actually not playing much anymore, the lack of new content kills me so i’m playing only for the daily now.
:(I stopped doing dailies (on a daily base) months ago. Not sure why people keep doing that.
One easy gold per day is nothing to sneeze at.
How do you get 1 gold for each daily? By buying those T6 crafting material bags?
~Sincerely, Scissors
It’s gone, just like my blue SAB backpack. You used it as the skin, then you skinned over it, effectively removing it from existence.
Actually that shouldn’t matter.
From the ‘Introducing the Wardrobe’ page:
If you have an item that has gone through skin progression, like a legendary weapon or one of the Spinal Blade backpacks from the “Escape from Lion’s Arch” and “Battle for Lion’s Arch” releases, you will unlock all of the skins in that direct line of progression. That means that if you made Twilight, you will have access to both the Twilight and Dusk skins across your entire account. If you’ve created the Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades, you’ll unlock that skin and all previous Spinal Blade skins. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but transmutation seems like skin progression too.

I believe, if something can be done, then nature doesn’t care wether we do it.
I take that one step further:
If something can be done, then it is natural. If we poison our planet to the point where it is uninhabitable, that’s still a natural occurrence. If an invasive species is brought to a new place and kills all the previous inhabitants, it’s a natural occurrence. If the biggest predator gets killed by the coordination of many tiny insects, it’s nature!
The only things that are unnatural are things that require the interaction of a supernatural being who essentially changes the rules of how the universe operates. Even then, it could be argued that such a being is also a part of nature and is thus still a natural occurrence.
On the other hand, and I suspect that this is deliberate on your part, you’ve listed a lot of things that are ‘natural’ that are nevertheless undesirable. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean that you necessarily want it to happen, and sapient beings have the intelligence and capability (collectively, at least) to make these choices.
In this case, though, the dragons represent a threat approaching the concept of the “Godzilla moment”. Destroying the dragons may create a magical build-up that could harm the world later on… but if not resisted the dragons are going to topple civilisation now. If destroying the dragons results in later problems… that’s a bridge we can cross when we get to it.
That’s why we said it’s not a problem if we can stop the dragons. If that is not supposed to happen, we would be unable to do it.

Then Tessa, slippery thief extraordinaire at CM.
Might I ask what face you used for that character?
Sorry for the delay, but this is the face I used for Tessa.

Thank you

Aren’t they cute
Still looking for a better armor combination for my asura guardian though (the one with the blue hair). Also still planning to have one with Taimi’s hairstyle.
~Sincerely, Scissors
(edited by Windu The Forbidden One.6045)
I have 7 of them. Used to have the same hairstyle, but that changed with the coming of new hairstyles.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I too pretent my asura characters are sisters, they all have the same second name.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Very well then, I stand corrected.
~Sincerely, Scissors
The asura sisters look amazing
~Sincerely, Scissors
1. It’s them or us.
2. If this is some plan of nature, then nature shouldn’t have given us the intelligence that allow us to do something about it.
I believe, if something can be done, then nature doesn’t care wether we do it.

Am I the only one who likes human female light armor?
Nope, I like it as well

Apparently starting a dungeon and sitting on your bottom while everyone else steamrolls the dungeon is grounds for banning, so that’s why I asked. Ty for reply though, question answered
It’s frowned upon by some players to go afk in dungeons but it’s by no means a bannable offense.

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but transmutation seems like skin progression too.
It seems to me like you are replacing one skin with another, not “progressing” anything. If you sell a Ford to buy a Chevy then it’s a pretty good indication that you didn’t want the Ford, it’s not a progression, but a replacement.
You replace the skin, not the item. So, your analogy would be better if you keep the ford, but modify it so it looks like a chevy.
~Sincerely, Scissors
It’s good to have something while we wait

What it comes down to is that AP shouldn’t be used as a measure to kick someone out a group under any circumstances!!
Unless someone has only 500 AP am I rite?
~Sincerely, Scissors
but it’s by no means as clear-cut as you say.
Saying Cantha cut off contact entirely before Zhaitan’s rise isn’t as ‘clear cut’ either.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Never seen this in game, only on the forums.
This.
I almost never see the kind of elitism cited by the OP actually in the game.
I know it will get flamed a little by the lone ranger types out there, but the best way to avoid this garbage (and probably why I never see it) is to find a friendly guild. This game really shines when you find a group of people who like to play the game the same way you do and tackle content with them most of the time.
I’ve been playing since the 3-day headstart and I’ve only seen it once ingame.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I’ve seen more pictures taken outside of dungeons so I’m not sure if that even still counts.
And my pictures are photoshopped in such a way you can’t even see where they are taken ^^
~Sincerely, Scissors
All I read is hypocritical “I hate AP bias but I kick low AP”. Way to prove the improper metric.
I know right. This thread is funny as hell.
~Sincerely, Scissors
How about some frilly jabots for the guys too so they don’t feel too left out? Let us all get in touch with our feminine sides!
No self respecting guy would be caught dead with such clothing. I’ve not met one guy who liked frills.
You’ve been asking the entire time for people to give actual examples of what they want. And when people finally do that you dismiss it out of hand.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Canthans became isolationists, in the same way Korea does it. But there’s still contact with Korea, we know it’s there and we know (if not in a limited way) whats going on there.
The only reason we were completely cut off from cantha is because of Zhaitan.
From the wiki:
The rise of Zhaitan had further cut off Cantha when his risen fleet took control of the Strait of Malchor. The only proof that Cantha still exists are sporadic sailors washing ashore on the Tarnished Coast.
When Zhaitan caused Orr to rise and spread its naval army, any ship attempting to sail in nearby seas were sunk. This caused Cantha to be completely and fully isolated, and all refugees – including the Xunlai Guild – had heard nothing of their homeland.
Both bolded parts show that Cantha wasn’t completely cut off before Zhaitan’s rise.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Actually… according to wiki.
At one point during development, this area was originally a completed Canthan district and included a blend of Asian architectures. However, this mix of styles received negative feedback from China and Korea, since those gaming markets traditionally prefer a uniform design. Due to time constraints the district was replaced by the Great Collapse.3
Yeah that’s the official story. I just don’t buy it. Why should anet care when people in China and Korea complain about a small and harmless asian styled district. There have been plenty of complaints about real problems that Anet has ignored, why listen to this one?
Wether they like it or not, Cantha is part of the world and lore. If the people in China and Korea don’t like it then that’s too bad, buy another game.
since those gaming markets traditionally prefer a uniform design.
That’s a really nice way of saying ‘Asians don’t like variety’.
And why is the feedback from those markets more important than our feedback anyway..

Killed Mai Trin solo when the rest of my party got wiped, took a long time and involved more running than actually fighting, but I did it.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Cantha became more isolated before Zhaitan rose. But there was still some limited contact with them.
Now there is no contact at all, that entire continent could have sunk into the sea years ago and we would never know. Now Zhaitan is death, we probably could re establish contact with them.
Though that probably won’t happen since Anet is rather anti-asian with guild wars 2, even going as far as removing something as insignificant and harmless as the cantha district in Divinity’s Reach.
~Sincerely, Scissors
It would indeed be weird if the elder dragons would only be active in Tyria, which is actually a small piece of land if you compare it to the rest of the world.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Ok first up..in GW2 it ain’t gonna happen..secondly..why should it???? Why should Devs spend their time creating stuff that hardly anyone will use or port too except a few Rp’ers. I just don’t understand..This ISN’’T the Sims…
Need more zones/classes/weapons/races before trivial fluff like housing.
I think the thing that makes me scratch my head is the same thing surrounding all the calls for an “Expansion”. I think either is an intriguing idea, but the vast majority of people calling for these never really define what they want FROM them.
More zones, continuation of personal story (preferably about the elder dragons), more permanent dungeons (with their own gear sets), more professions, more playable races. Basically the usual stuff expansions in MMO’s have.
Over here you see a perfect example of what most of those people want, and what the game needs: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Lon-ami/First_expansion_theorycrafting:_Jormag,_Tengu_and_Far_Shiverpeaks
~Sincerely, Scissors
One thing that consistently happened was I would walk past an area and because there were so many players in the zone at the time the heart-quest would be completed before I even got there.
This doesn’t make any sense, other people can’t complete hear-quests for you. And this was never possible, not even in beta.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Anet should add proper playing housing because they gave us a freakin HOME INSTANCE. Either remove the home instance or make it an actual home.

Just by sight, I do believe it’s:
Skin Colour: Mid 1
Face: 2nd in Top Row
Hair: 2nd in Middle Row, Colour: Platinum
Beard: 3rd in Top Row
Eye Colour: Autumn Brown
Jaw Width: 100%This is, of course, if you’re creating a character from scratch. Lol, this was fun. XD
You got that information just from sight?
