Since Anet created the lore, if they say Asura are mammals and they reproduce similair to humans then that’s the way it is, period. And it’s not impossible, don’t try to apply real life logic to a fantasy game
Do you have a source? I only found a statement saying that they give birth the way humans do. That does in my opinion mean they are live-bearing. It does however say nothing about if they are really mammals.
I don’t need a source, I know what mammals are.
Features that distinguish mammals:
-Hair (obvious)
-Mammary Glands (seen when you successfully remove their underwear with glitches)
-Belly buttons (same as above)
-They give birth like humans and last time I checked, we were mammals (stated by anet themselves)
-Warm blooded (the fact they can survive in cold areas proves this)
Check Wikipedia for more Distinguishing features that mammals posses.
Asura are without a doubt mammals.

That’s not a bug. It specifically states that shoulder pieces aren’t visible while wearing the chest piece.
What? Of course it’s a bug. It shows up for males so it should show up for females. Besides, if a piece of armor worth 20 gold doesn’t show up, on a specific gender no less, you bet it’s bugged!
I’ve been waiting for a fix for months…
~Sincerely, Scissors
My biggest, and currently only, problem with asura armor is the fact that the Savant Epaulets (Tier 3 Light Cultural) are still bugged/invisible for female characters.
Like.. really? Cultural armor is expensive, for that price I expect it to work..

So you want it for the visual? Grab a spineguard, transmute the backpack you want..
And where do I get those visual backpacks wise guy? There barely are any.
Visible ones for Laurels, yeah, right……
Yes that’s right. Can you please qoute the part where I said you should be able to buy the same backpack ascended gear with laurels? I’m not talking about the best ones (like the capacitor), I’m talking about new ones. I don’t care if they are less impressive than the others but then at least we have the ability to buy SOME visual backpack items. Of course they will have to be a lot more expensive, 50-80 laurels maybe?
At the moment the only visual backpack items are Guild bags, event items (mad king, toymaker etc) and engineer bags.

Temple karma vendors sell no back items….that is all
They added exotic back pieces and accessories to all temples except Arah.
I was talking about ascended back items, the ones you can actually see. Those spineguards are a joke, they are all invisible..

Savant Epaulets for female characters
Even now, this armor piece is still invisible for female characters (If you wear a chest piece). I assumed it would have been fixed by now but it seems I’m wrong. This piece costs 20 gold and I need it to complete my set.
Can this be fixed please? It’s been like this since day one..

“In PvE, if a player is awarded loot by killing a creature and the loot is of uncommon rarity or higher, a chest will appear that contains the loot that would previously have been on the corpse. If the rarity of the loot on the creature is lower than uncommon, the loot will remain on the creature’s corpse."
2 questions:
1) Are these chests lootable by everyone, allowing people to steal loot from others?
I hope not, that would be terrible..
2) If those chests aren’t lootable by everyone, then what is the point of having them?
What’s wrong with having loot on a corpse?

…and there you have it. Three immediate responses justifying this institutionalised sexism, not even seeing it as a problem and attempting to belittle my character in order to make my viewpoint null & void. Ad hominem at its finest.
I like how you conveniently forgot the fact that I didn’t even disagree with you and stated that I understand your views. I just told you not to overreact, which is what you are doing to the fullest extend. And in response you accuse me of justifying “institutionalised sexism”.
I was planning to agree with you, but I see now that you are way too extreme. You are either an overzealous feminist or the most professional troll I have ever seen.
You act like including these revealing armors are the most terrible crime in human history and go out of your way to overpower everyone with your overzealous statements just because they have a different opinion. Your kind makes me sick..

sPvP uses the other gear so it is a great equalizer. Just because you have made tremendous money in PvE doesn’t give you an advantage over someone else who just started the game. It makes sPvP about skill, and not a gear grind.
sigh…
Using your own gear in sPvP but still have equal stats. So it would only be cosmetic.

Polymock refers to a mini game in GW1 and the Polymock arena near Rata Sum, which might feature the same mini game once it’s accessible.
Even if there’s any reference to Pokemon (which I doubt) it’s likely just an easter egg, no big deal.

It’s embarrassing as an adult playing this game to get intellectual friends to take it seriously when female characters are portrayed in such an overtly sexualised manner.
It’s a farce and it dehumanises women.
women are being portrayed in games might be chauvinistic, misogynistic and demeaning.
People are people, not objects to be lusted after, owned and dismissed.
…..Really? It’s just a video game, calm down.
Look, I understand your views, but you have to understand that Arenanet meant no offend with this. No one included those particulair armors/dresses to demean, insult or even dehumanize anyone.

Yes the idea is fine. I don’t like going underwater because I don’t like my weapons, and I can understand we need some different build underwater…
btw I wonder, trident and spear are considered two handed weapons, right? So the trait to reduce 2H weap cooldown works fine underwater, isn’t it?
Sure, there are traits who enhance underwater skills/weapons. I can easily make a build fit for underwater combat. The problem is, you can’t have a build that works great on both land and water (maybe there are a few. but that’s not enough). If I create an underwater build for my necro, my AoE build will be ruined.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I don’t understand why this wasn’t implemented on release. Maybe give it 4 stages.
1. Block all.
2. Allow guild and friends.
3. Allow guild, friends, and group.
4. Allow everyone. And if you are joining a dungeon run with it blocked, I will kick you if your profession isn’t needed. Elitist? Maybe. I don’t like wasting time or dieing, so why risk it with some guy that might be wearing mf and/or green gear? On this note, if you can’t afford rare gear, you seriously need to rethink how you are spending gold.
People like you are the exact reason we don’t have this system. Why do you think Arenanet dropped the so called Holy Trinity in the first place? Because they want every class to be equally valuable and everyone should use/wear whatever they want.
Guild Wars 2 is mostly skill based, not gear based. I qoute: “Sure it matters who got the biggest stick but it matters a hell of a lot more who’s swinging it."
~Sincerely, Scissors
It’s great that we argue equality and that we constantly strive for it in society……..
……ask what you would like from ArenaNet for yourself. Rather than telling them what they should be doing for other people.
This. Some players don’t like the current set of female clothes, but there are also a lot of players that do like them. A wider variety of clothing could satisfy the fassion needs of every player without cutting back on the current set of armors.

I disagree, if people want to see my exact specs they can ask.
The big problem with “inspect” is dat most people will turn it in a requirement for joining runs/parties. I don’t want to go through a thorough inspection just to join a party because the party leader demands I have “the right” build.
And besides, It’s my gear and build. I don’t want everyone nosing around without my permission.

I remember playing in a PvP server (wow)..
I hate any form of PvP with a burning passion ever since.

Yes would be nice. Because i use cond. dmg underwater and berserker set on land. I wouldnt change my armor cause of that but atleast the traits.
My Necromancer uses AoE (Marks/Wells) all the way, and is also specced for that. Underwater though, my build is.. not necessarily useless but it could have been so much better with the right traits.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Problem
When you switch to underwater combat your weapons, your skills and the way you fight changes. Yet, we still have to make do with the same build, which is mainly meant for combat on land.
Say you have traits that enhance your sword/pistol skills, as soon as you enter the water, those traits become useless. Now some may argue that you can easily switch traits, this is only partly true. Yes you can switch traits you have already unlocked, but what if the traits you need for your Trident/Speargun/Spear are not on the same traitline? Or what if the elite/utility skills you use don’t work underwater and you are forced to use others that don’t fit well with your build?
I personally know a lot of people that refrain from going underwater as much as possible just because their build is meant for a certain set of weapons and utility skills they can’t use in underwater combat.
Solution
Have a seperate traitline for underwater combat on a seperate page/tab. These will either consist of the same traits or totally new ones (whatever works best). Once you enter the water, the game switches to this traitline automatically. This way, we can use both our on-land/underwater weapons and utility skills with optimal efficiency.
Anyone agree? Opinions?

I’m sure that most will, once the dragons are dead and buried.
And for those saying the ‘We won’t move another inch’ quote has anything to do with it, I believe it was referring to an unwillingness to retreat when confronted with a superior Dragon force as they did before.
I’m a bit surprised that the Dredge aren’t having the same problems given how deep they dig.
No they won’t, the surface is their home now. The Asura who lived underground have long since passed away. They build an entire civilization on the surface, they are not just going to pack up and leave even when the underground world becomes habitable again. Besides, their main goal is world domination, and I’m pretty sure the surface is part of the world.
However, they might expand their civilization to the depths of Tyria when the dragon threat has passed. Having a Civilization that stretches from the highest mountains to the lowest depths of the world seems like something the Asura would do.
~Sincerely, Scissors
At the moment, it’s impossible to tell because we don’t have the complete picture yet. There’s still the 5th dragon to consider, possibly even a 6th. Untill those dragons have revealed themselves, there is no way to tell who is the “big bad”.

Konig, after reading over your comments again it’s starting to make more sense. I still think it isn’t wise to allow the SoS to stay in Hoelbrak. But I understand why they allow it.
Thanks for your insight.
Note: In the “butchers their children and burns down their homes” part I was referring to the all the corrupted/destroyed homesteads and lodges you can find in Snowden Drifts, Wayfarer’s Foothills and Frostgorge Sound. Those homes undoubtley had families living in them, and I don’t think Norn would give up their homes freely (given how pridefull they are).

All of a sudden, while playing, my fps started to drop whenever the Interface does something. I know, it’s a bit vague. I will try to explain:
Whenever an ingame message pops up, wether it’s damage, xp, a health bar or an “insufficient endurance” message. My FPS drops to 1 for a few seconds. This totally breaks the game. Because during combat the game goes haywire (every time I hit or get hit, the FPS drops to 1).
As long I’m not getting any notifications or damage indicators on screen I’m fine. I never had problems before, the game always ran perfectly smooth, and I’ve been playing since the 3 day headstart. The problem just came out of nowhere while playing.
I don’t see how this can possibly be hardware related. I’m totally baffled, this is the strangest problem I’ve ever had. I’m at a loss here, does anyone know how I can fix this?
~Sincerely, Scissors
Your profiling, and its no different than racism.
Apparently norn have a more open mind than you.
I beg your pardon? Racism, seriously? I’m trying to have a friendly conversation here.
Anyway, I would not condemn the SoS for having a different religion, ideology or lifestyle. I would condemn them for supporting jormag, the dragon that seeks to destroy the Norn and other races.
I remember Eir tried to kill the Dragonspawn in the novel “Destiny’s Edge” but failed, in response the Dragonspawn ravaged Hoelbrak with a blizzard. She was cast out of Hoelbrak by Knut Whitebear for it. She tried to help and accomplished more than most who tried, and got banned.
The Sons of Svanir in Hoelbrak side with (Note that I said “side with”, not actively participate “yet”) the enemy that seeks to destroy all norn, butchers their children and burns down their homes. And Knut is all like “make yourself at home!”
It’s not open minded, it’s short sighted and illogical.
Note: I admit, I am judging from a human perspective and thus my opinion in this matter is somewhat biased. But that’s why I want to discuss the matter, to get a better insight. So please let’s try to keep real world problems and racism out of this.

The asuran government is corrupt, thanks to Flax, and the Inquest, though amoral, provide results the asuran government likes.
I can agree with this.
They judge an individual by that individual’s own action.
But their ‘actions’ are just as hostile. Not the ones in Hoelbrak, but the SoS in general, and the norn tolerate them as such (not just the individuals in Hoelbrak).
Lets say you hate Republicans in America – if I say I’m a Republican, would you hate and condemn me for what the Republican politicians do?
If America was at war with another nation and the Republicans would openly colaborate with them, to the point of raiding/sabotaging american facilities, then yes. Because it makes them traitors and enemies of the state. (which is exactly the case with the SoS and Jormag).
~Sincerely, Scissors
We all know each race has their nemesis.
Asura – Inquest
Charr high legions – Flame Legion
Sylvari – Nightmare Court
Humans – Centaurs
Norn – Sons of Svanir
However, some of these relations really confuse me.
The first one: The Asura have an inquest council member and even an entire Inquest district/section in Rata Sum. Why? They are the enemy, they are practically at war.
I mean, throughout the asura personal story and events the Inquest constantly attacks Asura labs and facilities. The Asura story even starts with the Inquest launching a full scale assault on Metrica Province (Although not in person, but with hacked golems).
Not only that, but their ideology and ethics, or rather their lack of, is frowned upon by Asura culture. Having the Inquest in Rata Sum and even their goverment seems so out of place and lore incorrect.
The Second one: The Norn allow the Sons of Svanir to stay in Hoelbrak. When I found out that the Sons of Svanir were allowed to stay there I was baffled. They are the enemy, they openly collaborate with Jormag… JORMAG! One of their greatest enemies. Not only that, they attack every norn on site, raid their homesteads, destroy shrines of the spirits of the wild and are effectively the greatest traitors in the history of norn culture.
From the Wiki:
According to norn culture, the Sons of Svanir are not evil, nor are they viewed as such. Though they are credited with corrupting nature by other norn, they are allowed to co-exist with the others so long as they do not prove themselves as a threat. Unlike most norn, the Sons of Svanir do not remain independent for their strength, but rather barter for it.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. It’s like having a Flame Legion Tribune in the Black Citadel or a high ranking member of the Nightmare Court having a recruitment center in The Grove.
Am I missing something, or is this a huge inconsistency in the lore, opinions?
~Sincerely, Scissors

Is there a Miniature Zojja in Guild Wars 2? I always assumed there was a Mini Zojja because a lot of websites, including the GW2 wiki itself, claim there is one.
All these websites claim there is a Mini Zojja (all link directly to a Mini Zojja page):
Guild Wars 2 Pets
Dulfy
mmosite
Gw2db
Guildhead
GW2wiki
However, I can find no trace of a Mini Zojja in-game. There isn’t even a slot for this Mini on the bank, so how can there possibly be a Mini Zojja? Can anyone clear this up for me?
