I personally love this. But that’s because I’m part of a large and organised guild.
I can understand the complaints of people in small/without guilds though.

Everyone can participate in Boss Event started a by a guild, so no worries.

And how do we know when these are? Guilds usually plan their events, some guilds make seperate ranks just for people who only want to join for guild missions, and don’t have to represent outside of that. I’m sure some guilds will do the same with world events. Just try to get help of guilds, it’s what this game is about after all.

Will the large guilds even want us randoms there? Even if they don’t, they can not kick you so they really have no choice. But if you just cooperate with them, they will most likely appreciate the help.

You have to understand that these large events are made to be completed through cooperation with a lot of people. It only makes sense this is made easier if you are in a large guild.

My guild for example, it has a facebook group, a website and mumble (basically the same thing as teamspeak). We organise everything on those mediums. This way we try to make sure everyone in our guild can participate in our events.

Actually, they are taking the schedule away and giving control to us – through the guild event system.

Edge of Destiny took place before Guild Wars 2, so we should see traces of the massive amount of damage the city suffered in Edge of Destiny.

We had exactly this situation where a lvl 80 character in queensdale would get the same loot as a lvl 1 character. Anet changed this after a couple of months to ensure that the population would be able to spread out and still get some decent loot for their levels….

I play wvw, which believe it or not, is pvp too. If this is a sPvP only thread the OP should have mentioned that in the first post or title.

If players are scaled down in low level areas, the loot should compensate.
The entire idea of having players scale down is to make the entire world usefull, no matter what level you are. If loot doesn’t scale then that whole system is pointless.

If we’re going to count cities outside the current map then yes. There are
-2 more Charr citadels (ash and blood legion)
-at least 1 sylvari tree (could be more of them out there)
-2 more human cities (shing jea monastery and Kaineng city, the largest known city in
Tyria)
-1 Tengu city (dominion of winds)
-Possibly an undead city in Elona?

Makes sense when looking at the lore of Tyria.
Humans from Ascalon and Krytans were distinct and separate cultures. Only with the events of the last 250 years did these cultures ‘mash’ together for survival in D.R. ( including exiled Canthans and Elonian peoples).
I think it was a good choice of the writers to develop the city of Ebonhawke allowing for the last remnants of the Ascalon born humans to exist. Ebonhawke is a city of survivors, and it’s reflected quite well in design and feel. It makes sense.

I demand that in PvP/WvW, each player can toggle PvE mode on. In PvE mode you can not be attacked by other players and therefore focus on events, exploration and jumping puzzles.

I agree. There are barely any physical differences between male and female asura. But even then there could still be room for some slight differences in their armor

I actually even triple checked when I made my char that it was in fact the male one. It’s just so hard to tell the differences. It’s like they’re all named Pat.

I can easily tell the difference between male and female by looking at their heads. But their body structure is almost identical.

Please don’t waste the time on this devs. I know some people want this, but there are so many things in the game that actually need fixing/attention long before something else is added that, I believe, a small percentage of people want. We already have pvp areas that are great for fighting each other.

And dueling is one of those important things. Which a large majority want.

Really? So, your telling me a majority of the player base wants dueling? Please enlighten me with your evidence.

I can’t say one way or the other because I have no evidence as well, but my suspicions are that the majority would rather see QoL, TP, wvw, pvp, dungeon updates long before dueling.

The playerbase wants dueling because there is a large number of threads about them and there are multiple videos about dueling.

I guess your evidence is because you say so.

There are also tons of threads about mounts, doesn’t mean the majority wants it. It’s called vocal minority.

Not saying wether duelling should be implemented or not. But “there are many threads about it” is not evidence.

There is nothing wrong with a legitimate complaint. These forums are for feedback, not endless praise and licking boots. And this coming from a guy who doesn’t roleplay.

Seriously. The ‘guild wars’ the title is referring to took place even before Guild Wars 1. The name has little to do with what you do in gw1, and absolutely nothing to do with gw2. It’s too late now, but anet really should have picked another name imo.

Sorry.. what? New players are 10,000 daily, 5,000 monthly and all season 1 LS achievement points behind. And there is nothing wrong with that, if I have been playing for 2 years of course I should have way more AP than a new player. We already have the Wardrobe, Guild Halls would be the finishing touch. Though I doubt we will get them..

Because the feature pack comes halfway through the month, April’s monthly achievements will be a special case. Until April 15, the PvE and PvP monthly categories will be separate and require only two achievements for completion. After April 15, there will be a single unified set of monthlies and dailies, and monthly completion will again require four total achievements.

It always annoyed me how people use CoE to point out that dragon minions can be corrupted by another dragon, while ignoring the fact that those combinations are not a natural occurrence, and we’ve yet to see a natural cross breed of dragon minions. But that’s just my viewpoint on it.

CoE is used as an example because it shows that multiple types of random corruption can plague a single body. This argument is far more convincing than saying that one type of dragon corruption protects you from another just because we haven’t seen it happen naturally.

An argument that uses tangible evidence as proof will always be stronger than an argument that uses the absence of evidence as proof.
