Hopefully never, for this first time in the history of Guild Wars 2, racial cities actually have people in them, as it should be.
I other words, I don’t like LA, nobody should be able to visit it again
In other words: Anet made LA too important and made other cities useless. It has nothing to do with me not liking LA, it has to do with me wanting all cities to be equal.
I don’t mind LA coming back if it was on par with all the other cities, but that’s not likely.
Nice try though
That’s better.

I still like how people use the “you are not forced to get a legendary” argument.
You are not forced to play the game either, so why should anyone give any criticism at all?
Great, I have spent like 500g on Abyss/Celestial Dyes and now they are going to change that?
Well, I suppose I have to sell the ones I have right now before they cost 1c
Which is a good thing, some dye prices are just ridiculous.
“Dye unlocks in the CN version are account unlock instead of character unlocks.”
BRING THAT HERE!
THIS!
Anet even promised Guild Wars 2 would have all dyes account bound a long while ago (before release) I guess they forgot to mention “only if you live in China”…
If you read the link, you’d realize that Anet is going to bring it to NA/EU
Only the dyes you buy from the gemstore, which is stupid.
From what I gather they want to bring account unlocks to NA/EU for the dye packs.

This screenshot was taken during the time the game was plagued by a bug that caused npc’s not to display their helmets during cutscenes. As you can see, she is clearly bald.

It is bad enough running around on a Sylvari with all the NPC hate now- can you imagine if I was wearing Scarlet’s hair?
it would be instant pitchfork time
Just ignore that.
“one person of that race goes full tyrant on the world so that means their entire race sucks” Is stupid reasoning.

I get that in real life, if I get a broken leg, I won’t be standing on it really. But it isn’t like we saw the bone come out of his leg. As a Norn I don’t think it should be affecting him as much.
With one single post, you admit that having a broken leg is a big deal, and go on to say it can’t be that bad if the bone isn’t sticking out. I take it that you’ve lived a pretty safe life. Compound fractures are indeed bad, but even grown men can cry when their legs break.
OKAY.
We are talking about the Norn.
The same Norn that everyone argued with me about 2 weeks ago that they could face entire armies solo and still stand.
You’re telling me a broken leg is holding this. Norn back, and that, this is normal for a. Norn?
I do live a safe life. But I have had broken legs. It sucks. But this is a fantasy world where my Asura gets slashed in the face by a greatsword and bleeds a little.
Watch this, it’s perfect for this discussion.
For people who don’t want to, it comes down to this:
We, the players, have been pierced by thousands of arrows, stabbed, electrocuted, frozen, set on fire, slashed at, crushed and sometimes all at once. Yet we still fight on. And one broken leg stops Braham.
Yes I get the whole gameplay and story segregation, but it’s a funny topic nonetheless.

Depends on how bad the break was. That said, he’s a sad excuse for a Guardian to not have condition removal to take care of it.
I really don’t think condition removal can fix a BROKEN LEG. no offense
As said before, it can fix cripple.
And even if condition removal doesn’t work, he should have healing magic.

This would have been the perfect moment. Just saying..
I saw the hairstyles appearing on Dulfy one by one.
First Kasmeer’s hairstyle, YES!
second Taimi’s hairstyle, YES!
I was really expecting Scarlet’s hairstyle after that, but it was not meant to be..Kasmeer and Taimi are heroes, or at least decent supporting cast. Scarlet’s an infamous villain.
That’s like saying after the defeat of Hitler’s forces by the allies, it would have been a great time to sport his look.
… Good luck with that.
…..
That’s the worst argument I have ever seen. There’s an argument here?
Are you saying there isn’t?
We can also run around with
Scarlet’s shoulders/gloves,
aetherblade armor/backpacks/weapons
Toxic alliance weapons/shoulders/gloves
Molten alliance weapons/gloves
So, using your example, it would be okay to dress as hitler, just not have his hairstyle?

I’m talking about a hairstyle in a video game here (one that was also used by a fictional villain yes), that is not at all the same as mimicking one of the worst (real life) villains in history…

I believe the best option would be to have different ways of making a legendary. A player who solely plays wvw (or pvp/pve) should be able to make a legendary.
In my opinion anyway.

Im just… sad. I think they gave male asuras better hairstyles again.
You said better hairstyles again Implying you were also talking about the previous batch of hairstyles.
It’s a matter of personal taste. I believe these female hairstyles are absolutely amazing.
Especially the last one with the large pony tail.
Luckily I was able to stock up on some gift of battles now the rank requirements is temporarily gone, using BoH I gained with Achievement chests. All I have to do is explore there for gift of exploration, which is not that hard.
In your face wvw.

From the March 4th patch notes:
A small release will be available on March 18, which will provide an epilogue to recent events. That release will show the aftermath of what players have experienced in the Battle for Lion’s Arch and will conclude the current story arc.It was also stated later on this epilogue would take place in the Death End bar (forgot where) What did you expect?
Gee, I don’t know, good story telling? A fulfilling sense of accomplishment? Dialogue that didn’t sound like it was written by a child who just finished watching some terrible anime ending?
You forget this is Living Story. Did you really expect good story telling and all loose ends wrapped up? All you get in Living Story is poorly written dialogue, shallow story and plotholes.

From the patch notes:
All the while, the Breachmaker—the enormous airship looming over Sanctum Harbor—continues to drill uncontrollably.
Why is this in the patch notes, while the Breachmaker has clearly been destroyed and what’s left of the drill is not moving at all.

She looks creepy, like an evil doll, hopefully her face wont be able for players, wouldn’t like to see Taimi look alikes running around me, it gives me the creeps…
In other words
I don’t like it so no one should have it.I didn’t say that, but anyway, it’s not available now, so I have nothing to worry about.

Taimi’s hair! aww yeah
Infinite reward dungeon? Did I miss something?
Kiss me.
Oh look it’s Matt Miller from Saints Row!
The upcoming big patch is not a ‘content only’ patch, but rather a features only patch, so it probably will not have a new race or new maps.
Living Story Season Two may bring us a new map(s), with the introduction of a new Dragon, though.
They’re continuing with the living story? Really?
Yep there will be a season two.
That kills off any interest I had on getting back into GW2 then.
Understandable. Going through yet another Living Story arc isn’t really something to look forward to.
But still, even for all it’s flaws, I still hold hope for this game.
(edited by Windu The Forbidden One.6045)
That’s not a confirmation, that’s a vague hint.
And it wouldn’t be the first inaccurate one.

Guild wars 1 was dark.
Guild Wars 2 is a children’s playground.

For some reason, killing children in video games is okay as long as you don’t actually see it. Take Fallout 3 for example, you can’t kill children, but you can blow up a town where a few children live. You don’t actually see the children die so then it’s ok (hypocritical if you ask me).
I never understood what the big deal is. It’s just a video game, nothing is real, when you kill a child you don’t actually kill a child, just a simulation..
I also find it funny that murder, genocide, doing drugs, robbery, mutilation, slavery and many other horrible acts are all fine, but when people see a child die all hell breaks loose.
They need to end this temporary content train as soon as possible. The hole they dug for themselves is starting to look like an abyss.
The only thing that looks like an abyss is the grave that this thread has been necro’d from.
Good things are worth debating for, no matter how old the subject is.
Another duelling thread, in disguise.
As long as balance in PvE won’t be affected and PvP stays consensual, fine.
Sorry but no. If I dodge something I should not get any damage at all. If I get any damage, then it’s not dodging.
Then actually dodge away rather than sploiting evade frames.
No need because dodging already works fine.
3/10
Some parts of the story were interesting, but it’s a poor substitute to expansions and the story was dragged out waaaay too long.
Looks like the players who “play how they want”, namely, those running around in yellows with a ridiculously suboptimal build are afraid of a bit of criticism. That’s why they’re so scared of “inspect” and “duel”.
However, to the rest of us who are serious about clearing content, this would be a godsend. No more special snowflakes ruining world boss events and dungeons.
I’m curious, how exactly would you keep people with
buils you don’t likesuboptimal builds from participating in world boss events?Call outs. People need to learn that these events require cooperation which means gearing and traiting correctly.
So basically, if Inspect gets implemented, you will tell people in chat how much their build sucks. That’s exactly the reason this game has no Inspect.

Unbelievable really. The amount of people resorting to the most unrealistic and far fetched reasons to not have duels astounds me.
I think my reasons are actually quite logical.
Assumptions cannot possibly be concrete evidence, no matter how “logical” they seem to you.
Nice try, but my argument still stands.
It’s funny that you try to dismantle my argument even though I did not even oppose duelling.

To me it just feels way more epic to be a part of a band of heroes, who saves the world.
Then you’re in luck because that’s exactly what you got.
You were not alone when you killed Zhaitan and you were not alone when you killed Scarlet. Do you did make the killing blow, at least with Scarlet.
The only reason why I would oppose duelling is because then we will never have seperate balance between pvp and pve (like gw1 used to have) I’m still hoping GW2 will have this someday (some skills/traits already have).
But if PvE balance would not be changed for the sake of duelling, I don’t mind.
I agree ascended gear should be tradable. Legendaries can be traded.
Why can’t gear that only gives a 5% stat increase? That’s an issue with Legendary weapons – not Ascended.
It’s not an issue, it’s a good thing.
Crafting is a wonderful gold sink, so that being the only reasonable or fair way to obtain Ascended items is great
Tons of grind for a 5% stat increase, really great…
I’m just happy Ascended gear is so useless, that way I can happily ignore it.
(edited by Windu The Forbidden One.6045)
Where’s the profit in keeping the weapon skins exclusive?
It’s because some people want to feel unique.
Some people like to believe gear can only be epic if they (and a few others) are the only ones that have it.
Hiar accessory should always be dyable, just like clothes. Not only with a hairkit.
Of course this will never happen because then we can’t be charged money for it.
Oh here we go…..
I agree ascended gear should be tradable. Legendaries can be traded.
Why can’t gear that only gives a 5% stat increase?
I’m kinda shocked that being the main heroes means our characters are forced to commit murder on a beaten and defenseless enemy. I’d have preferred to capture her.
I wouldn’t call someone who keeps throwing and endless supply of bombs at you defenseless
they confirmed to her that they would kill her and then she started throwing bombs
hmm, I wonder why they did that?
Maybe it has something to do with all the atrocities she commited and basically declaring war on the entire world. She got it coming. If you are a deranged psychopath who slaughters thousands of people then this is something you must expect.
She would also be way too dangerous in captivity.
