I personally see it like this:
From a lore perspective, my character is the main character. And all other player characters are random soldiers/adventurers. And my alts simply exist in a paralell universe, hence why it’s possible to complete the same story more than once.

I love my character being the main hero, It’s a good thing Anet finally let us be the hero. It’s been long overdue. No Trahearne this time around to steal the glory.

If I just want to be a cog in a machine I will play wow.

For those that never played GW1, Tormented Weapons were acquired through receiving gems from enemies in DoA (Domain of Anguish).
They were fairly expensive to buy and you needed 8(if I can remember correctly) to fill your Hall of Monuments.
Now, GW2 has capitalized on what was a semi-elite skin from GW1 by putting them in RNG BLC. Why…Why not create a fractal that you got tokens for them? Why not a dungeon(DOA????) to get them. Why not from the new Knight drops even as a rare chance?
Anet has done a good job of taking everything that I loved from GW1 and putting it in the Gemstore,instead of placing it is exciting, difficult content.
Am I the only one that feels like this?

Your argument would be more compelling if Anet hadn’t also given a tormented weapon to every GW1 player who completed a pretty easy quest at the the end. Maybe you didn’t stick around long enough to experience the Wayfairer’s Reverie quests, but they were pretty simple quests which rewarded everyone a Reverie Gift, which gave you one Tormented Weapon.

This, got Tormented daggers without any effort during Wayfairer’s Reverie.

I’m sorry but just because you worked hard for a weapon in guild wars 1, doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t be able to get it in guild wars 2. And this coming from someone who has a lot of hom rewards and some tormented weapons in gw1.

Why? I got tormented weapons in gw1, I don’t mind having them in gw2.

I just hope it’s actually these skins and not something completely different.

For some reason, whenever I use my flamethrower the backpack clips with the Spinal backpack.

Now I don’t really mind this a lot. But I’ve seen a few engineers in LA that were able to use their flamethrower, and still have their Spinal Blade Backpack visible (without the flamethrower backpack). Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a screenshot of that, nor did they answer my whispers when I asked how they did this.

Does anyknow how this is possible, or is it merely a glitch?

Similar to Norn who believe in the animal spirits. Suddenly starting to wear Human god armours.

Asura who believes in the Eternal Alchemy, now suddenly wear Human god armour.

Asura/charr/sylvari and norn can wear a grenth hood, wings of dwayna and an idol of grenth. So I ask again, why won’t the other races be able to wear god armor?

Besides from it being “weird” since that’s a subjective term.

I’m happy to see this thread is still going strong after one year. Gw2 really needs Cantha (and of course also Elona) back.

I’d love to see Cantha updated, and see how it’s changed over the last 250 years. Although Nightfall was my favorite of the expansions, Cantha was the more beautiful land.

Elona will probably look like the desolation right now. I have no idea what Cantha looks like after 250 years, but if the empire is still in control it’s probably like gw1, but without the Kurzicks and Luxons.

I’m happy to see this thread is still going strong after one year. Gw2 really needs Cantha (and of course also Elona) back.

The least they could have done is give Kasmeer’s father some time to come up with the money (which they may have done, but we don’t know that), not immediately throw him in jail.

Strictly speaking, it wasn’t robbery. Legal seizure of a debtor’s material assets might still suck, but it isn’t criminal.

I know it isn’t robbery/stealing in a legal sense. But in some cases it’s just wrong imo. Bad things happen in life, people get can into real trouble even though they are trying their best not to. The last thing they need is some authority figure steal away the only posessions they have left.

In Kasmeer’s case, there are no good reasons for what the ministry did, only legal ones. In my opinion anyway.
