The only ones who are abnormal are the ones who are actually believe the asura resemble children too much and make changes to them for this very reason.

Yeah, I’m with you on that one. I will probably check it out, but I won’t be spending any non-LS time there. Depending on how the achieves/rewards are handled, I may not participate at all.

It figures, though. We finally get a sizable new map addition and it is PvP oriented. Oh well.

You are missing the point. I was given 3 names, and 3 different chest colors and was told “Pick one” Nothing suggesting which was which weight class, and which my class would use. I’d like to have the set of legacy armor my elementalist can use.

hmm. I don’t have the heroic edition so I don’t exactly know how this picking a free armor works and how it is displayed. But from the sound of it you were indeed not notified.

Maybe someone else with the Heroic edition (or a dev) can shed more light on the subject.

I just started playing and You get a choice of 3 armors. After picking one i thought best would fit my color scheme based on the chest, I’m told I can’t even wear it in my class. WTF?

There are 3 armor types: Heavy, Medium and Light.

Guardians and Warriors can only wear heavy.
Thieves, Rangers and Engineers can only wear medium.
Elementalists, mesmers and necromancers can only wear light.

What profession do you use and what armor did you pick?

People are actually rping in Rata Sum? Neat, I go to Piken Square sometimes (The EU RP server) to watch the roleplayers. But Rata Sum is always empty, all the roleplayers seem to be in Divinity’s Reach or Ebonhawke. I really wish there was a significant RP presence in Rata Sum.

At least there is one place in GW2 where the asura RP community is alive and well ^^

For the record, I think John is referring to an actual risen chicken in the game. You meet it during the mission “estate of decay” in the personal story line. You can’t kill the chicken until the conversation between Galina and Snarl has ended (Galina Edgecrusher: “That’s the most resilient chicken ever. Whoa – it’s coming right at us!”). If you do try to engage the chicken, it can kill you but you can’t kill it.

There’s also a chicken in ebonhawke that is immortal.

It’s not immortal, just hard to kill. I killed it once with about 5 other players, took a while but eventually he died.

If it is working as intended then why were elems nerfed for exactly what warriors are doing now.

Because Arenanet considered RTL unbalanced, not the concept of movement skills (without target) as a whole.

Assuming you are talking about RTL. But even if not, just because one skill/trait/item is nerfed, it doesn’t mean the entire concept is unbalanced.

Then what was the reason RTL got nerfed? Because eles used it to run/reset fights regardless of having a target or not which is what warriors are doing.

Again, my suggestion is either nerf all leap skills like the way they did with RTL (cooldown penalty on miss) or remove RTL’s nerf and think of another way to address this issue. The issue is about Weapon Skills, not Utilities so comparing the 2 is just plain stupid.

My original argument stands. Just because RTL was overpowered doesn’t mean all movement skills are. And I never compared weapon kills with utility skills.

The only reason why I would oppose duelling is because then we will never have seperate balance between pvp and pve (like gw1 used to have) I’m still hoping GW2 will have this someday (some skills/traits already have).
But if PvE balance would not be changed for the sake of duelling, I don’t mind.

I have a male asura -character- who actually uses a female asura model (I wanted a guy who looks like an aye-aye and that wasn’t possible with the male options), and with him I kinda rely on the female model using male armours, so.. I’d rather this didn’t happen.

What would be better is new armours/armour skins (NOT ascended) that look slightly more feminine, for those who want that option, rather than going back and “fixing” old armours.

Of course I too think it’s better to keep the current armors as they are because a lot of people may like their current armor set. Only armors that are added as of now should have significant changes between male and female.

Also, out of curiosity, what armor are you talking about? As far as I know, only male versions are used for asura (regardless of gender) there are only a few armors where females have their own version. Though I have never heard of an armor where the male uses the female version.
