The achievement is bound to SUCCESS of your WHOLE group that trying to break ONE chain. It is not different than “relying on others” to get a “kill xyz boss” achievement or achievements that are bound to death of a boss.

That’s not what the achievement discriptions says:
Avoid the Marionette’s Stomp/Sword Attack (and nothing more)

Well that’s exactly what I did. There’s a difference between relying on others, and needless mechanics like this.

If one group of people fail a platform which causes the event to fail, THAT is relying on others. Not this.

If your life is in the hands of people cleansing you with turrets (tequatl fight). THAT is relying on others. Not this.

It’s responses like this that make me puke.
This doesn’t have a kitten thing to do with “relying on others”. The achievement is about dodging a certain attack, and if that’s exactly what you do you should get the achievement.

Luckily the achievement isn’t worth a thing so I can live without it, but still. This achievement has nothing to do with relying on others.

If it is working as intended then why were elems nerfed for exactly what warriors are doing now.

Because Arenanet considered RTL unbalanced, not the concept of movement skills (without target) as a whole.

Assuming you are talking about RTL. But even if not, just because one skill/trait/item is nerfed, it doesn’t mean the entire concept is unbalanced.

What I can’t figure out is why.

Just implement a reasonably fair DR formula to punish mindless farming while also avoiding making it totally worthless in terms of extrinsic rewards for people to replay content (you know, so people playing after the daily reset can find a group).

If people enjoy a boss fight, let them have a boss fight. Let them fight the boss 10 times in a row, if that’s what floats their boat.

I’m afraid your character is just too small. I ‘can’ work with it, but it won’t look good. Can you please try making another screenshot as close as possible? As I said before, the perfect distance is when the edge of the screen reach the character’s feet, also standing on a flat ground is recommended (to avoid clipping legs).

I just hope the other elder dragons recieve the same attention Zhaitan has.
Which is:
-A whole bunch of personal story quests (permanently available)
-3 new zones dedicated to this dragon (just like zhaitan had Orr)
-A permanent dungeon with a weapon/armor set

I expect nothing less for the other elder dragons.

Even if you try to work into that angle, which I disagree with, because I’d still buy another stand alone game that could be played by itself or linked to GW2 which would expand upon the GW2 universe ergo it is an expansion. Yes that’s right I will pay good money for good content, the stuff they are doing with LW is free content for a reason.

Eye of the North the only expansion by your definition still provided way more content than LW has. On top of that all of EOTN is permanent repayable content that you can play at your own pace, because it was so robust they didn’t need to gate the content in two week increments to extend the play life. This allowed player to enjoy it at their own pace rather than an outside force dictate it for them.

The fact some people actually believe LS delivered the same content as EOTN (or any of the campaigns) is unfathomable, inconceivable and outright laughable.

It’s just not true in so many ways (most of which are stated above).

The only reason why I would oppose duelling is because then we will never have seperate balance between pvp and pve (like gw1 used to have) I’m still hoping GW2 will have this someday (some skills/traits already have).

But if PvE balance would not be changed for the sake of duelling, I don’t mind.
