You should be able, at least, to exchange them at a merchant. They would still be exclusive (kinda, luckers already drop them at lv20), but not ridicolously RNG-esque.
I spy with my little eye a big assence of Vizunah Sea posters in here. Not that I miss (most) of them, but currently we only have Deso vs SFR banter, we could use some more variety. For example, when was the last double-team accusation? Like 10 pages ago?

So much mud flinging going around I won’t even comment! I’ll just say that if you guys keep telling your enemies run away yet don’t set up a GvG against them you are all talk and no trousers. On that matter I’m happy to announce that my guild is open to 10vs10 GvG matches so if any guild is interested, just send me a pm.
Well looks like VZ map players are working together pretty good right now.
I’d love them to be addded to the permanent world after the story arc finishes. Makes sense for them to be there, and expanding zones bit by bit makes for an even bigger world in the long run.

First of all, thank you a whole lot mr. Foreman & SAB team. Your work is awesome and it has brought me and my friends exceptionally fun times and manly nostalgic tears. Everything from the sounds, the levels and the graphics are very well made and really show the effort put into it. Thanks. Enough with the praises though, let’s get to my point:
While I’m in love with the current implementation of SAB I can’t help but feel that the combat could be greatly expanded upon. While King Toad is a nice fight, normal mobs need to be a little more diversified, just as the arsenal at our disposal. I’m talking specifically skills, enemies behaviour & item upgrades a la Zelda. For example, we could buy an upgrade for our POINTY STICK that gives it a special charge-up attack, or a shield that blocks projectiles as long as we stand still and perform a quick readying animation. Some enemies could have weak spots, or be particularly dangerous in melee range (thus incentivizing slingshot usage). Suicide bombers anyone?
I understand that what I’m asking for it’s a lot of work, but if you’ve created such a good “minigame” with a small team I feel like you can pull off something amazing given a bit more resources. So in conclusion, are you considering focusing more on combat challenges in the following releases? And what are people’s opinions on this matter?

Centered around? Just because it happens that the holyday update has a jumping puzzle in it it doesn’t mean it’s centered on it. There were plenty of activities to do, just to name a few : minigames, dungeons , a scavenger’s hunt and plenty of items/achievements obtainable without doing the two (2) JPs.
I get it that you are not proficient at them and it rustles your jimmies, but guess what? Deal with it. There’s plenty of people enjoying them and Anet even catered to players that are not good at them through infantile ( yes, infantile ) mode. The fact that they are not usual content and that you don’t like them doesn’t warrant their removal.
Lighten up a bit…? They do want players to have fun and all you know..Its just a small thing,learn to appreciate something already kitten 24/7 complainers,dont you ever get tired of yourselves ?
Never, their massive egos and feelings of entitlement are the fuel which slowly burns to keep them alive here!
It’s not entitlement nor is it ego. Shall I link you to the GW2 manifesto and remind you of the fact of 1 patch of class balancing after 7 months which still hasn’t changed much to the fact that certain classes outperform others in many ways.
I’m sure that the guys who worked on the Super Adventure Box would’ve done a great job balancing the game. /sarcasm

This whole thing creeps me out. How is this better than simply adding heroes? Not that I’d advocate adding heroes.

I went there yesterday and, as stated in the patch note/from some NPCs in game, the Consortium is building a village for the Refugees to live in. This probably means we’ll see more content added to that map soon enough. And while I agree that the map is kinda empty, Skipping Stones is awesome :o

Out of curiosity, what language is used in Fissure of Woe map chat?
It may be the server you’re on is less populated at the moment. I’ve got 7 characters maxed out in level, armors, weapons and all and I remember leveling each of them I had no problem encountering players, getting help from others or helping other players for that matter.
I play on SFR which is currently T1 in WvW on EU so it’s a pretty high population server..that just might be the problem.
I was browsing the forums when I read this and went like “wtf I don’t remember writing any of this” lol!
@ OP: I think it might be your server. I communicate a lot when I play and I’ve noticed, as you did, that there isn’t a lot of interaction going on, but that’s on players, not on developers ( in my opinion ). Leveling used to be relatively demanding during betas but it was (understandably) nerfed, but dungeons are harder. Oh and I don’t know where you read that the only “pve viable” classes are guardian and warrior but that’s pretty wrong/stupid. They’re overall the strongest/most useful but you can do even the most challenging dungeons without them. P.s. Raid =/= Endgame.

Hallo jumping Desolations guys at Bay on SFR borderlands, if you outnumber us and the inner wall is down you are supposed to go in not wait for our bigger force to come wipe you :> also epic skirmishes before that wipe, and later with Hold Up that ganked me good just because I was bothering the back of their group :d

I think one of the intention of the changes was to make the dungeon more engaging/entertaining and to bring on par with other dungeons (besides CoF) the difficulty/reward aspect of it. I think the changes have succeeded in their intention.
The fact that AC is now less frequented doesn’t mean much either, as unfortunately most of our community only cares about phat lootz , not gameplay/content. Simply look at some meta-events, probably the most boring pieces of content in game (zerged Maw comes to mind) and how they were swarmed for a month with the guaranteed-rare changes. That being said, if path 3 final boss is fixed, I see no reason why people wouldn’t run it now but would run the previous one.

@ Haters : you think E-Sports are boring, I get it, that’s fine. I think watching other people playing golf is 3 times as boring, yet it exists as a sport. Conclusion?

Hello necromancer IRON commander at redwater in SFR, could you please ask your guild to stop /dancing on corpses of lone enemies when they zerg them? It’s kinda disrespectful and has happened a lot in the last weeks. Makes me lose a lot of respect towards you, especially when your zerg wipes my 10 men guild and spams multiple /laugh /dance on us. It’s not like I was kicking your kitten at that supply camp.

There’s always great fun to be had, but being really close in scores motivates me to play and give my 110%. Here’s to hoping next week Vizunah Sea (possibly even Deso) will threaten us.
I would really love to see some raw data released about WvW, specific to each server. Number of commanders, class distribution, average number of players during different hours, longest time SM was held, JPs completions, times the Grub was killed (lol)…. Oh well, one can dream.

My party (around 10 players) just soaked up the burning damage and removed conditions when possible ( we had two guardians with runes of the soldier ). It took a relatively long time but we did it. No idea on how to remove the shield, didn’t even know that you can.
Heavy Armor is a huge boost which can go up to 20% damage reduction compared to light classes. It’s only normal for heavy armor to give much more protection.
It’s not a huge boost, it’s only roughly 7% less direct damage than a medium armor wearer and 14% less than light armor. That is when you have no +toughness at all. As characters gain toughness (through traits/equip) the difference gets smaller.
Guardians and Warriors are wanted because they’re probably the 2 best classes for dungeons both for legitimate reasons ( boons, dps, sustainability, projectile protection just to name a few ) and non-legitimate ones ( omg heavy armor so good ). Other classes, while not as strong, have their unique perks too and any skillful player is welcomed in any party that’s not speed running CoF/doing fractal 40+/full of stupidity.
Meh, I don’t know, sounds more like a new condition you are describing. Burning “flavor” is that it’s the single most damaging condition in the game. At 1000 condition damage and lv 80, burning roughly equals to 6 stacks of bleeding.
