Currently costs 21.6 gold (this has probably changed).
That’s 540 regular 4 silver picks.
That would require you to mine 54,000 nodes to make up for how much you spent on it.
That ends up being 162,000 pieces of ore.
Good luck ever mining that much, but I bought one anyways :p.

648 stacks (250) of ore. Wow. Rough guesstimate I’d say I’ve maybe had 100 stacks from launch to now.

Sorry to be THAT person in this thread!

I do the same as crazylegsmurphy, type “properly” when I have the time, and shorten when in battle. When pressed for time, I also make typos like everybody else.

I wouldn’t expect anyone to proof-read every line of text they type into chat before sending. Never. However… there is a difference between typo, shortening, and genuine misspelling. If you talk about your “theif”, I find it difficult to take you seriously. I regard this as a character flaw in myself rather than in you, but somehow I can’t seem to change this about myself.

Why would a player not use the features available to them? Sounds like a first world problem. Last time I checked it takes about 10 seconds to guest. I agree about some events need changing and it would be nice to not have so many wp’s contested, but I make do until then.

If you run a dungeon, every boss fight gives you a bag with 3 drops of liquid karma, I think they are 400 karma each when consumed. These add up a lot over time, I have 4 stacks sitting in my bank…

Create character, do initial story quest, go to HoM, test out skills/weapons/traits…play style on the dummies or do the sPvP. Don’t like then delete & try a different one.

I’ve had this happen before, what I did was spam movement keys and skills, movement skills…

What server are you on? Imo this not the case on JQ, yea there are a few (the usual ones, always been like that) but its not a big deal. You just wp to closest to where you want and run there. Maybe try guesting. Oooo ic, you must be a Mesmer…

ok i know you will say no.i have grinded for 7 hours just to move 75 skill levels and that is with a guide im going by and was told where to kill for the loot.half the things i killed left no loot and the other half dorpped maybe 2 things i needed .crafting needs revamped .they said they took out the bad things of mmos in gw2 hhhmm

Do the daily, the monthly, run events, dungeons, follow the Zerg in wvw, fractals, and if you want to earn even more be sure to get karma buffs like banners, boosts and the food.

I have to pretty much hinder my dps for crappy centaur runes off set, often keeping inventory window open and swapping in & out just to get swiftness…

My guild doesn’t really have problems with half baked. We spam boon stripping & cc

This is not efficient. Farm events for bags & drops, earn gold from dungeons, salvage whites, gather & sell….then with your gold buy mats you need from placing buy orders.

A lot of people have been waiting a long time for buffs to the ‘lesser’ classes. I think it is much needed, hell everybody does. Only time will tell? I would think anet has been working on buffs/fixes for them bc they are def. up…

I’m sure they will do something. There is way too many things to craft for no profit. Level crafting is a bit op if you ask me, doesn’t mean I haven’t leveld 0-80 in a couple hours this way but I could see a nerf. O and jeweler is obsolete now with asc accessories, not too long before everyone has them, weapon/armor is pointless imo you can get both for free from dungeons, buying food is cheaper than making food, same with slaying potions. In aion I remember I would gather massive amounts of materials efficiently and mass produce items to sell for lots and lots of money, not the case in this game though meh

Someone said you won’t make money which is pretty true but you still want to make lol I don’t get why people do this, crafting anything is mostly more expensive than buying it and selling the mats.

It takes a couple hours to get hundreds of badges, hop on the karma train and spam aoe, loot bags left & right. O yea go do the jp’s for 50 badges, multiple toons? Moar ez badges…

Yea but it’s too easy imo, if you’re like me and I’d think many others, you have stacks and stacks of badges now (if you started launch), as well as a decent amount of gold. I have 2-3 exotic sets for each of my toons, now I can have 1 set of every stat set, ha I could have multiple sets of the same sets, put some diff runes in it. Yes, thank you anet….

I totally agree, I really should take advantage of the easy rewards from the chests, but idk I just don’t care to go to them, they are super lame, no challenge, and require no skill. Everyone and there mother camps them so it can sometimes be ridiculously laggy, but that doesn’t matter you just show up, target the boss, and can afk for a gold medal. I dont think I’ve ever died at any of these events, I used to be one of the people off to the side, max range, ranging, but now I just melee bc you don’t take any damage, and it kills faster. I wouldn’t like 10 minute fights, can’t stand how long jormag takes, yes I protect the golems not auto attk to the side. I don’t have any suggestions atm for improving the fights but they need to do something and nerf the guaranteed daily…it’s like hey go here for some free kitten real quick. Idk I just don’t find that fun and don’t need to be spoon fed. I’m not resentful towards the freebie, understand that, to each their own, do what’s fun for you.

Dont have time atm to read all that I’ll try to later, but from what I read…I’m t1 too I don’t think ranged is reqd, rarely use. My hammer build uses sw/wh for swap, condi removal, mobility, immob…I hammer bammer in middle of zerg til I have to gtfo and sw is godly for this, auto targeting off,de select & leap out to backline

Meh not my cup of tea, I don’t like the gs in wvw, and I think maybe some disc traits would be nice for spamming the lb burst aoe & weapon swapping. Try it out tweak if you need too.

Wvw-soldier everything & build depends on weapon

I used to use 20/0/30/20/0 with zerker gear w/ ruby orbs, soldier rings & back, cavalier earrings & amulet w/ exq ruby. I feel this is a great hearty build, good damage & great survivability. But now that I have mastered a lot of content & am very experienced with warrior I wear berserker everything with ruby orbs and run 20/25/0/0/25 build for max damage using mostly ax/ax & gs. 30k hb feels awesome and 10k+ eviscerate is fun, o and the occasional killshot too.

You should have all weapons and use what is best for the fight you are ab to go into.

Nah they aren’t all firepower at least imo they aren’t. Underwater is not the best like others but only thing I would like is better uw mobility like make that water 5 skill not stop you at the end or make that bubble transfer air skill better.

I’m afraid of some changes I read in another thread, might have been speculation but I remember it saying rtl will require a target, rtl affected by cripple/chill, damage reduced on skills/auto attack dmg increased, less boon uptime, longer cd cleansing wave, & I think less condi removal. Ele dd bunk is op I think these are fair but I don’t want it, I’m scared

Yea if you are spamming you should be in all zerker, I use scholar runes bc I’m always above 90%. I’m kind of looking for something different to spice things up. I’m thinking I want to try sw/sw + sw/fc but I’m losing out on swap skills. I’m using 20/30/0/0/20 atm & thinking ab trying 10/20/0/10/30.

How I use the Scepter (WvW, PvE applies as well)
-Spam 1 as you come to your target, this gets rid of the first two balls, hit your target with the 3rd = quick clone
-For the block, if you are running away use it, if your are fighting (preferably up close) press again for the blind (easy to miss so make sure to have good LoS)
-3 skill, make sure to be in range to get full damage/confusion
-Closer you are to your target the faster the balls are and produce clones (I like to run circles around my opponent)

It’s going to be really hard, really, really hard to start a guild where the game is now. Your best bet is to just spam your ad in every zone every hour. Without the buffs & upgrades not many are going to want to join or help build it up. Perseverance lots of it…

In this game damage is all that matters, that’s what warriors do…lots & lots of damage (pve)
