See how many times someone from anet posted about acknowledging the issue and updating on the progress of fixing it. This is nothing new of course. But when we constantly post about issues like bugs, glitches, exploits….we usually get nothing. Honestly I am fed up with waiting for them to attempt a fix that often fails anyways.
The same attention pve gets.

I hope they never “fix” this. It’s one of the few counters for door catas and similar siege-troll tactics.
Exactly. Very hard to take keeps now a days when you have entire map q’s sitting on siege with portable cannons. xvx on BG is a prime example.
Pretty funny watching you guys bunker up in smc with arrow carts everywhere, running to your cannons every chance you can.
I don’t know what some people in this thread are talking about. Mag got a link because they needed one. They are relying on their link to provide some of the population. BG is still beating them, and MagET and FASoR are about even.
All tiers are pretty even now, much moreso than in the past before linkings. I would even bet that all servers are close enough to fight each other with the exception of
BG, they’re still super stacked. SBIGoM fought TC and JQ last week and did well. I’d be we could make any combo of matches and it wouldn’t be a complete blowout like it used to be if a low tier faced a higher tier.Linkings are working! (At least for NA) I’m ready for BG, bring ’em on!
Mag made it pretty clear last night that they consider ET a waste of space. With the way their community is, a link will hurt them more than it will help—any server they’re paired with is more likely to turn on them than help them.
Good Ole’ Mag, keep trolling and turning away your militia, and linked players, then complain you cant compete and get burned out.
I said it many times already, stop linking the top servers. Keep linking where it needs to be, the lower tiers to help their populations, and stop subjecting those servers to the crap that goes on in upper tiers.

You give the server winning T1 a link? lolwut? Who is making these decisions? And could you please explain them? I think we’d all like to be enlightened on this since it seems pretty nonsensical.
They were only winning because they had a good link before. (The proof is already showing in the total score)
Thankfully for us we have been moved elsewhere. I feel bad for ET though.. :P … although ET might be a small group in WvW but they are some of the best people I know!

That is one of the worst reasons ever for not fixing a bug. I was not even on siege, or against the gate, I was standing about 900 range behind the gate.
There is a graphical glitch affecting rendering, that has been going on for awhile now in wvw, where after sometime you might notice your weapons can no longer be seen, and using a tonic or any other appearance altering effect while bugged can make your character go completely invisible. A couple of months ago, I played an entire reset completely invisible because I could not log off due to queues.

I’m ok with this, seems reasonable enough. Not sure why Maguuma needed a link but at least they changed the server they are linked with.
I was running around the map today and noticed a bunch of different botters running teleport hacks to move around to gathering nodes. Tried to report them as fast as I could, but wasn’t always possible because they moved to quickly and could be across the map instantly. Please look into this. I also called out in map chat for others to report them as well if seen.
Since when does Mag not have dedicated wvw guilds? If you are seriously looking for a wvw guild, add what time you play, what playstyle you prefer, if you have ts and a headset w/mic, how much experience you have with wvw and guilds. Asking wvw guilds to help you farm mats and get ascended gear is going to….lets just say it looks odd.

I always have the outnumbered buff which does little for a lone player against a group. It doesn’t matter what time of the day I log in, there’s almost never anyone on my team. WvW for us is practically broken.
DB suffered a mass exodus recently and dropped though the tiers. Hopefully with the new linkings this week, your server can get a good partner and have a better time.

Honestly though with all that quick skill spamming, and using them basically just to stack up boons…how viable of a strategy is this? When you say 3 of the same build, do you mean 3 mesmers in a party? Or 3 mesmers spread out in the group?

Well if lord is in combat it should have swords immediately. No 30sec window for a hider to melt Lords face off. What is the respawn for guard npcs?
Agreed, if lord is being attacked, or has damage, then it should be contested. I think the respawn rate is somewhere between 2-3 minutes, not sure though.

I wouldn’t mind killing a guard as a compromise.
I still tap gates because I just like to know I did contest and we’ll I don’t like eating bolas, cripple and shield bash. Snow leopard bless hunters shot!
Only problem with that is it gives defense way to big of an advantage because in a long drawn out keep fight you wouldn’t be able to recontest when the wp reopened. you’d have to wait for a guard to respawn while the defenders continually respawn in.
Maybe a mix of kill a guard/1% damage to a wall/WP remains locked as long as there is a breach.
Obviously I mwant for tagging, not for zerg attacks lol.
You do bring up a good point though, about how it would work when enemies are already inside but there might not be guards getting killed or additional damage done to walls/gate.

I’m in the no category on this. You cannot use proofs of heroics as an example to support this idea, because the reasoning for them is completely different. The point of proofs of heroics being used to unlock hero points is to allow wvw focused players to unlock elite specs by playing wvw. Also with the introduction of reward tracks, we get plenty of tomes of knowledge for leveling. This means that a wvw focused player does not have to do any pve to level up a toon and unlock the elite spec.
This is completely separate from crafting legendaries which is supposed to take players across game modes. The reason most of it is in pve is simple. PvE simply has the higher player base and offers the most opportunities to diversify the tasks for making a legendary.

Well downstate is important I think, especially since there are skills that are tied to it. I think that the issue is people being able to rally to often, and get rezzed too often and too quickly.

Are you talking about revival or rallying or both?
Rally = You kill somebody and get back up from downstate. One person dying can only cause one person to rally.
Revive = An ally walks over to you and heals you back up.
The debuff would limit how often you can rally while it is active.
This is basically how it would work…

>Debuff becomes active, if you become downed while it is active you are put into a defeated state.
Revival mechanics would not be changed, since you would still be able to rez someone that is downed, and there are already existing mechanics that prevent resurrection of fully dead players while in combat. This would simply limit groups from being able to constantly mass rez people that go down in fights.

Just created a toon, and in the starter instance for human toons, there are a bunch of gold selling bots standing around the starting point. Can anyone investigate and ban these kittens.
. BG on the other hand is always locked, but like any other server needs to recruit new blood from time to time to stay competitive.

I guess the other weeks that we lose never matter to people right. We have the same issues as other servers, players leave, stop playing, coverage gaps etc. Tier 1 demands a lot out of a server, that’s just how it is.
Also keep in mind, this is the last matchup before a new linking this week, some people want to hang on to their link and will drop their activity level. For us it doesn’t matter, we wont get a link anyways.

Of course but in the current system you can just pick your friends back up and the focus party will rarely be able to actually finish them off.
In your system however they’d be straightout dead after beeing down 2 times.Taking downstate away from WvW would probably mean that the only viable classes are going to be the ones with a very high damage mitigation uptime like warriors with defy pain and zerker backlines will be non existent.
I understand your point, what about putting a delay on the debuff? This would allow some time to heal up. This idea wouldn’t remove downstate, just reduce the constant rallying.

Wouldn’t that make vistas and jumping puzzles pointless? And if falling, due to a glider, isn’t a problem, then where’s the challenge?
Gliding and mesmer ports already take most of the challenge out of those things lol. But this was more of an idea for future content, so maps would be specifically designed to handle it, like HoT was for gliding. And then it could be incorporated into the rest of Tyria. They could always put a no-climb zone in JP’s lol.
Do you think this could ever be possible, or fun to do in GW? Being able to climb up walls, cliffs, mountains, using ledges, and jumping from one point to another while climbing. For those who have played games like assassin’s creed and tomb raider you are already familiar with this type of parkour style of movement and gameplay. Is this something we might ever be able to do in GW?
Does a keep waypoint really have to be unusable for 3 minutes, because someone sneezes on a guard…Can you please finally change this so a player has to at least kill a guard or do some damage to a keep before the waypoint goes contested. I don’t even mind if white swords pop, but does the waypoint have to be made completely useless for no reason?
Like many others, I am getting annoyed with seeing a bunch of people constantly getting instantly rezzed and rallying in fights only to give more of an advantage to large groups. What would you think of adding a debuff to players that only allow, for example 1 rally within a given period of time? It would work sort of like a downed penalty, so if you get downed and rally you get a debuff for say 60 seconds that will put you in a fully defeated state if you get downed again.
The numbers are just used as an example, but what do people think of this idea, and how it might affect WvW.

Yeah so how does that explain JQ?
Wasn’t talking about JQ, which is occasionally closed. Being locked at Full has not been a long term problem for JQ, it’s just this time it got locked in the middle of transferring a guild in, so there’s that inconvenience there. BG on the other hand is always locked, but like any other server needs to recruit new blood from time to time to stay competitive.

Every month I end up getting quite a few BL salvage kits. It’s great to get them for free, but it would be even better if they stacked.
It would be extremely hard, if not impossible to make those things stack.
What about an item from the BL vendors that allow us to convert 10 bl salvage kits into 1 with 250 uses, assuming those 10 are not used.
Please add lore books. Like Scarlet’s diary, and the journals from the Bloodstone fen.
A tab in the bank for story items would be really nice, there is only so much room for account bound items.. And there will only be more coming in the future. I like keeping stuff from the living stories but running low on space…

Profession balance is done by a different department, and quite honestly they are terrible at it. The core of the problem is that they do not properly separate balancing between game modes.

While on this subject, would it be possible to stack things like armor/weapon boxes like the ones we get from reward tracks? For example if I get 2 Arah Weapon Boxes, I need a separate bank slot for each one, while other gear boxes are able to be stacked. Can this please be looked into?
Here is an idea, maybe create Tabs at the top of the collections window so its not just one long scroll down. Can have one tab for regular materials, another for things like rubies, wood, blade shards, legendary gifts etc, misc things like that.
EDIT: That said, I am still very seriously considering things like Chak Eggs, Blood Rubies, and Petrified Wood.
Just a thought….but couldn’t these in fact be considered currencies and be added to the wallet instead?
No because the rubies/wood can be salvaged and sold to merchants.
The developers HAVE been paying attention to WvW, unless you were asleep for the the past few patch cycles. Every single patch since summer has contained significant WvW-minded contributions and adjustments.

That’s not really fair, they have made a ton of good changes to WvW in the last several months. It is just lately the subject of the polls (siege, dbl etc), and the way they have been implementing server linking has been causing a lot of issues. But that doesnt mean they haven’t made a lot of progress. Just look over the update notes over the last several months.
Please remember that this is “Material Storage”. Not “Stuff I Don’t Want To Spend Bank Slots On Storage”. Items that are not used in crafting or mystic forge recipes are VERY unlikely to be chosen. Sigils, Runes, Tomes of Knowledge, Boosters, etc are all not going to be chosen to add.
EDIT: That said, I am still very seriously considering things like Chak Eggs, Blood Rubies, and Petrified Wood.
Guild Hall upgrades use a lot of tomes of knowledge, why shouldn’t it be given a higher priority? Especially considering how many we get now. It’s only one slot, not a big deal. I already have a dozen bank tabs, I wouldn’t say I “don’t want to spend on bank slots on storage.”
