first thing that is keeping down his OC is MB – vrm and really cheap design but it is OKAY…

sirsquishy – FX 4100 is easy to OC even with stock cooler you can get it to 4.2Ghz

I was running FX 6300 4.2Ghz on stock – yes it was loud but neveg gone over 62C even under prime 95

hehe you CPu cooler is almost the most expensive
so you are running 4.2GHz
little hard to get it higher with that MB….

What is your voltage for 4.2ghz?

and did you download win7 fix for bulldozer

winpower is bad PSU not worth buying give 70$ and you wont change your PSU for
5-10 years

With that LEPA bronze 450W you can run i7 4770 and GTX 780Ti

reinstall game also GPU drivers
- first GPU drivers – uninstal + driversweeper + restart + install + restart
- uninstalling the game – clear every map then do fresh install

Just let him try if he will be happy with performance he can wait for “broadwell” or get more money for K model

Check your connection first try other online games and you may also try speedtest

You can try to OC that CPU – maybe is golden and set
character model limit – low
character model – lowest
reflection – sky & terrain
Shaders – low
Shadows – low
everything else is maxed out

Kinda get 18-30 fps in large fights

FX 6300 4.5Ghz – if you get FX 4300 to 5.0Ghz or higher
Lets say that 4th gen is about 50% faster in single core performance than FX.
i5 4th gen at
3.0Ghz = 4.5Ghz FX 4300
3.4Ghz = 5.1 Ghz FX 4300

so if your cpu is great OC-er you may keep this cpu to 2015 … and then get i5 (K)

With may setting i see around 30-18 FPS in large WvW fights

If you look at LoL – DX9 – use only 1 core and there is no big difference between AMD and Intel – as we all know AMD needs to be 1Ghz higher – so 3.8Ghz = 4.7-4.8Ghz

Right now i am doing build for my friend – cheapest version for GW2 and new games…
So he can take athlon x4 7*** or maybe i3 4130 and cheap MB + 4Gb Ram… he has already GPU 4650 but soon he will replace it with R7 250X or 7750 or R7 260….

he didnt bought new one… they switched FX 8350 gold vs i5 4670K bad PC-er and he is more happy with FX, but who cares – if you want best CPu for GW2 buy intel … or get CPU that you want to have….

If your CPU throttle under prime95 – VRM or high T, if not then —> windows/HDD/Drivers, …. trying uninstalling and fresh install (downloading)

My friend bought FX 8350 to replace i5 4670K … kinda weir but when he told me that his i5 was bad OC-er (4Ghz – max stable) and that FX 8350 is golden (5.6Ghz all 8 cores and 5.7 Ghz 1 core per module)… Voltage is under 1.53V while he cant get 5.9Ghz even with massive V…

when do you get fps drops? (what thing happens)

And yes i can compare BF4 and GW2 optimization. While BF4 is made to get best performance, GW2 is made for everyone (OS)- thats it!

You can get cheaper R9 270 and take little higher clocked i5 4670(4570)

R9 270 is more than enough for GW2 and also between i5 4430 3.2Ghz and i5 4670 3.8 Ghz is about 20% difference (i5 4570 3.6Ghz -12%)

- repair
- reinstalling (uninstall + delete all files then new install)

You should do stress test pirme 95 and Furmark (GPU) – check temp with HWinfo

then you have i7

run furmark and check temps (GPU) report back if go over 90C just stop tress-test

Check your GPU temp and also CPU temp .. check stability Furmark (CPU) + Prime 95(CPU) – watch temp when you do these tress test

Maybe is better to buy console and play MMOs there… but problem is there is no GW 2 on consoles

Dont take this video as a MAntle video – just comapring current DX vs LOW level. Note that conzoles has even lower level API (closer to the metal).

Conzole has 8 jaguar cores – single core performance in CB is around 0.4-0.45.

Thats it… we can only hope that developers will support DX12.
