This used to be in Guild Wars, where calling targets was taught in the first 10 minutes of the game no matter what campaign you had. When a player would call a target, it would make a high pitched sound, a sound that was exclusively used for calling targets. This made it easy to realize when a target was called, as long as a player had sound. If the player did not have sound, the player could also see a chat notification, and a mark would show on the name of the player who called the target.

In GW2, a player only has visual clues to know about a called target. If the player is not looking at the chat box, or is turned away from the called target, or is too far away from the called target, that player does not know that a target was called. An option should be added for an audible sound, preferably a high-pitched sound that cannot be mistaken for any other in-game sound.

Make WvW puzzles reset with the daily

Just as I wrote above, I think this would be a good change because players can more easily do the puzzles and get the rewards. Let’s say that I’d like to do the jumping puzzle every day. The first time I do it at noon, and the next time I have to do it some time after that, let’s say 12:30 PM. The next day, this happens again, and I have to do the puzzle at 1:00 PM. Obviously this keeps happening every time a person does the puzzle consecutively, and it throws the player’s schedule out of sync after a while. The only way to solve this is to not do the puzzle, losing out on blueprints, badges, items, etc.

Instead, make the WvW puzzles reset at the same time as the daily, and put a condition that the player cannot open the chest more than once without reentering the instance. That way people cannot finish the puzzle at 4:59 PM then open it again once it resets. The reason I suggest this is because it seems ANet doesn’t want people getting two for one deals, I personally have nothing against it if people finish the puzzle then wait and open the chest twice.

This is what I came across yesterday when I tried to do the event called “Defend Plagan Swordrend as he repairs the turrets.” Here is the official GW2W page for it.

As the event started and the NPC started to repair one of the turrets, I was the only one there. The first group that spawned had somewhere between 8-9 enemies and they all spawned at the time in one mob. I managed to kill two, then used AoE to down the other 7 that were bunched up. About 15 seconds after this mob spawned and got killed, an Ascalonian veteran came with another regular enemy. The vet spawned right after I took this picture. I had to abandon it because there was too much damage being put out for my level 20 charr warrior.

My question to the other players and developers is: Is this appropriate for a level 12 area with a single player?

Crabtoss Achievements

Bring back crab toss for the same amount of time that it was broken and not rewarding achievements. People who want to finish the achievements have been denied the time that they deserve to accomplish these achieves. It’s not fair to reward people who did the achievements earlier by locking everyone else out.

Crab Toss Achievements!?

It’s not fair to remove Crab Toss from the game when the achievements have been broken for several days. I tried to finish my crab toss achievements on the 8th, 9th, and 10th because I knew Southsun would be over soon, but I couldn’t advance them. My crab carrying and grabbing achievements are stuck at over 90% completion because of this. That’s not fair. If the devs had said that Crab Toss would finish one week earlier I wouldn’t have minded, because I would plan accordingly and finish the achievements on time, but this is just mean.
