Just wanted to congratulate YB on the win this week. I have never believed that a formal alliance between two servers could actually work long term. I know many deny it here but I saw too many times when we were fighting both YB and EB for the same ground when they were not fighting each other. And I am sure it wasn’t absolutely every player on both servers. But large guilds on both sides were involved. It has resulted in many fun fights and that is what the majority of SBI players are looking for, it really has been a fun week for me.

Winning the last few matches have been boring and mainly PvD..which kinda made us a little complacent I think. So we were ripe for this kind of upset. Plus we got lots of PPT in those matches almost by accident. We don’t really play the PPT game.

It was disappointing to see that some YB players even after you had a big lead thought it would be funny to troll us with alt accounts on our server. yeah I hear we did too in response. Every server has them I guess…and it doesn’t reflect on the whole server IMO.

What seems to be happening now though seems more like “match manipulation” to me. I have no problem with 2v1’s…that is exactly why there are 3 servers involved so the two weaker can have a chance vs the stronger and every home BL will and should be 2v1 for this format to make sense.

But when the winning server starts trying to influence 2nd place(which will also influence 2nd place in the league) by only focusing one server and seems to even be letting the 3rd place server take their own assists to help them pump up their score…that starts to smell bad IMO.

SBI does not deserve 1st place this week. But we sure don’t deserve 3rd through this kind of manipulation if that is what is going on.

In any case GG YB and EB. Have fun and good hunting. I am sure we will meet again.

Bullkitten dude, when we see YB and EB standing next to each other, not attacking, that is an alliance. When we see YB allowing EB to take their towers and camps, that’s an alliance. This whole week until now, YB and EB have kept off each others map. No red points in blue BL and vice versa. It was and is a 2 v 1 against SBI, plain and simple. To not see that simple fact, I have pity for you my good sir, how unfortunate you are in life.

For the record, I could care less about winning 1st, 2nd, or 3rd . . . I just want a fair fight and for people to have a good time and good fights.

Don’t get overconfident. We could lose next week, especially with how our commanders must be burnt out after pulling ridiculous shifts this week. And, as for SBI getting third in this matchup, the score is close enough that we shouldn’t talk about foregone conclusions until they’re actually set in stone.

I hate seeing people on YB talk trash or boast and have it thrown back in their faces. It does a disservice to us all. This may not be directly applicable to you, but there’s been a lot of trash talking going on, you know? It was painful enough to watch people proclaiming inevitable victory after we won reset night against FA, and we all know how that ended.

If SBI wants to complain about being ganged up on (instead of taking it as a compliment) that’s their problem.

You should know it well. E-bay and Yak armies are full of fair weathers at the moment. So in reality… you need two servers AND fair weathers. At least my wvw ranks have been flying up soloing 2 or 3 of you guys at a time…. but really…. You guys might just try and get better at WvW instead of relying on hordes of poorly skilled people from two servers.

I didnt say that. But I am pointing out the hole in SBI’s argument that we cant win without Ebay’s help. Ebay did play smart and it helped us indirectly. What I’m pointing out is that without Ebay’s help during OFFPEAK hours we managed to hold on to a substantial lead.

Could it possibly be that the reason you were able to hold that lead during offpeak hours is because ebay wasn’t attacking you at all and instead was fighting us and only us.

We will always be out. And, the reason you are saying that you might not come out is exactly the reason you will never find us on the servers that dominate their tiers due to population and coverage. Part of the reason why we moved to EBay is because we recognized it as being one of the weakest servers in the upper half of the tier that was only rated as high as it was due to getting horrible RNG rolls in the pre-league system (that is, getting pounded week after week but still gaining rating due to playing much higher rated servers).

Being overwhelmed by numbers isn’t a lot of fun, but running around finding nobody to fight is much worse.

And, bragging about winning any of these matchups for any reason is silly.

I don’t move servers, They change constantly and i’m not wasting the money.

Anyway you say right now its not going to bother you, but you were complaining like I said earlier this week about 40 zerging you…. triple that, cause that’s what i’m expecting to happen if we get paired against you guys in the future.

I think YB accepts that some of the saboteurs are from YB but equally the ones on YB are from SBI. Most players don’t support it but neither can we stop it.

Oh I have no doubt we had some SBI players doing it as well.

I believe they said someone from Bags was doing it, and I know someone posted screenshots of someone from SBI doing it (I’m assuming it was from SBI, they didn’t friend him so i don’t know the account name of the player)

I do know that TehFoe though is from Yak’s Bend… and the time stamps were very telling, He was doing it right before Yak’kitten Garrison, which means those players are just as guilty.

The PPT game is an absolute joke, people. You should have all realized this months ago when people who care about balance were having their suggestions to fix the coverage issue locked and/or deleted by the forum mods.

I’m amazed so many people actually still care who wins these meaningless matchups. The only thing that matters are the fights.

Duh, this is why Leagues were silly in the first place, I posted in another thread it would be like having a football league with 3 teams

Team A gets 20 people on the field
Team B gets 15 people on the field
Team C gets 10 people on the field.

Would anyone honestly take that seriously?

The fact that we still have people who think some grand strategy is employed in these matches to win is pretty hilarious…Winning PPT comes down to having numbers, its really all that simple…Your server can simply have the numbers, or you can 2v1 the heavily populated server thus giving you the number advantange.

How this is not understood by people I don’t know.

Most of the time 3rd place servers also don’t have a reason or the ability to come into play in these matches either…. That could be changed simply by adding points based on your placing in a match.

Meaning 3rd place server gets more points attacking 1st place servers then 2nd place servers…

And second place servers end up getting more points attacking 1st place servers.

This would actually make matches a lot more even.. and even Low population servers could have a chance at winning.

tmak, your entire posts can be summed up with

“We played exactly the same as last time we fought, Only this time we didn’t have another server attacking us while SBI did”

There was no new grand strategy employed, you simply didn’t have to deal with 2 servers attacking you. That makes a huge difference in fights. Its actually rather insulting to EB in my opinion because you’re acting like you employed this grand strategy to beat another server when really it came down to numbers as always.

You should be thanking EB, not pretending you pulled off something grand… Give credit where it is due, and it is due to EB.

He might of tried throwing the conditions back at me if I stayed near him..
