2 seconds isn’t enough in PvE – thats my problem.
Ture Engineer can do medicore perma burn damage. But power grenades / flamethrower are still dealing much much more damage. Especially greande with their built in 20 stacks vournability. And mesmer PvE (!!) condition damage? No – just no. Hybrid yes, but full con? No. But lets stay at Necro here.
Right now the Necro lacks most in the max. bleeding stacks. 25 Stacks are just not enough for bleeding. In a team with 5 players where one is a necro and the other not, 25 stacks are allways on. If there would be no necro, there would be 20 stacks. If there would be only the necro – 20 stacks too.
Sure you can say “thats ok, the necro deals more bleeding and will override weaker bleedings” … WTF!? Even if he does 100 bleeding instead of 50 per tic, he REMOVES other stacks wich would be only an increase of 50 damage. It looks nice at your screen but … after all the necro deals weak condition bleeding right now if he isnt alone. AND THIS ANNOYS ME
Stacks should be 50, but just for bleeding. Others are ok like they are.

enggineer have a bag kit which put in utility slots.player can fill 2 things in it(weapon kit,elixir,turret,some gadgets).when player use bag kit,the old utility slots skills gone(except bag kit), the things in bag kit replace it,but no tools belt skill.when player chick weapon swap botton or chick the bag kit,the old utility slots skills return.
Translation
Engineers have kits wich take a utility slot. Player should be able to fill 2 utility skills into the kit slot. When the player uses the kit, for example 7, then the other 2 utilty skills wich have been chosen and put into the engineers kit before should take place of number 8 and 9. Tool belt skills aren’t affected by this action. By pressing the weapon swap button or by pressing the kit button, the old utlity skills will return.
Sir – this took me about 10 minutes to understand – improve your english plz
… also I don’t like the idea – too complicated and too many utility skills for the Engineer compared to other classes.

Since the Necro is the only class that actually can do a condition build right now that isn’t completly crap – what do you think after some buffs? o.o
Yesterday Ascalon fractale – run to my friends attacking the warriors, didnt mark anything and faced directly the enemy 12 o’clock. Summoned an illusion and pulled the eles wich were at 8 o’clock … why autotargeting – you used to work once
well every big aoe just hits max 5 targets at once :/
LordByron to be honest – I sometimes use the GS if I need it, but the adepts part is definitly NONE of it: sw/focus + sw/sw -> focus 4 speed, 5 kills one by itself, switch, sw 3, 5, 3, 2 – the other. Even faster than with GS. and you have a block / pull against the warriors knockdown.
Don’t read this wrong now – I don’t say GS is bad in that situation – it’s about the same. So you can just use double sword and be fine.

90 sec is definitly too much. And I would like to see an increase of the dura to 3. However it can applied multiple times at the same target but does not stack, remember!
Our cloak elite however should recive also a buff in duration … Or something else, like boons or whatever. Its just meh for an elite :/
MI is meh but at the same time its the most used elite in anything pvp involved. They can add boons to it or other stuff but i’d prefer it to be simple such as 60sec CD, 5sec stealth, 10sec aegis on use and 1/4 activation time. Now that would be a great elite.
give it blur instad of aegis and just during the activation time and i’m in
maybe a longer stealth too? :O
What I don’t like is that it only cloakes 5 units with that huge BIUUMMMMM sound and animation … and veil does infinite … ok … seems legit >_>

It has been announced by devs.
Thats also a reason why condition damage is “terrible” tbh. It scales poorly and does not get increased by vournability. It needs time to take effect wich is bad in open world but ok in dungeons but there, there are allways plenty of vournability stacks wich are useless for you and also if there are 25 stacks of bleeding for example, you will deal just a tiny little damage for the team with that condition.
BUT (god i love butts … nvm) Arenanet is about to buff conditions in PvE wich is probably going gonna be awesome, especially for Necro, Engi and Ele. Lets see how it affects the mesmer and confusion.
Just one question: If GS an Sword would both be single target – how would the DpS between them be? Still S >>>>>>>>>>>> GS? Or just S > GS :o

I’m not sure what skill you are talking about – I’m not playing in english but I guess it’s a “if a clone dies” thing?
If yes, it’s the same explosion ø as the shatter skills – 240ø, 5 target AoE.
The clones will have the same condition damage but won’t benefit from condition duration. The bounce thing seems to be a bug since it works underwater…
It depends on the situation if you should go for dual sword or staff, but you should play what you like and what fits to you. I don’t want to start the common “dual sword > everything” conversation with colesy and co. again >_>
Byron is simply right. Using the best weapon for every situation will allways be better than using XY all the time. You can’t argue against that. But what fits to each player is a different story. And to be honest, it is ovious that colesy prefers melee and sword style aswell many others too. But also there are playstyles that like the GS. And there ARE situations where every weapon is better than another.

I can’t talk from my expiriences sorry :P I’ve just seen that video of fighting pretty good with a staff and you asked for something like that. I don’t play PvP myself, I’m more into PvE ^^ Sorry if I missed you :s
Using a staff grants you permanently chaos armor wich is very very strong in PvP. Also, noone will fight you in a chaos storm and if they do, they normaly die. There aren’t so many big numbers, but chill destroys rotations, poison prevents a good amount of heal, dazes everywhere. I see the staff in PvP, especially with safekill due “2” and blink. You can start finishing someone, 2 away, blink back again in the end to kill him.

This is exactly what I meant all the time too – also in the case of the GS. There is no best phantasm for every situation and there is neither a best weapon for every situation, not even the best weapon set (S,S / S,P e.g.). And this is why I like the mesmer – he can make use of every weapon he’s carrying, sometimes even torch even if only for skipping.
→ rolleyes to serval mesmers here.
If you like big numbers go against world bosses that can be critted and use the iWarlock :P 20k <3
Mind Wrack isn’t melee for you, also it deals damage to up to 5 targets with a radius as big as feedback… Sure it’s DpS is low, it’s a finisher in PvE or a burst in some builds / PvP.

Greetings Mesmer friends! I wasn’t sure about posting this here or at the bug forum, but I guess it makes more sense here.
The last few days I couldn’t play since my router was broken. Yesterday I played the first time after the Teq-Patch. So I startet with farming at Orr…
I sometimes did those veteran giants, and then I noticed that every time when I’m not facing the target (with the camera), it stops beeing selected, so I couldnt run away and summon iDuellist e.g.. Also when I was fighting against 2 mobs I could simply face the other mob (just camera!) and it selected it without me doing something.
It’s annoying as f**k and I can’t find anything at the ingame options. Anyone can help me?

2 options you need to check. First option is promote skill target. This should be checked. Second option is right click to attack/interact. That should be unchecked.

I also wish feedback would be castable like a normal aoe… Wanna place it often on my allies and not at the target …

For me it’s the Staff. I like the way he works, also he’s got the most kitten AoE in the whole game, that sound, that feeling, that “goodforme-badforyou” effect. If I could choose just one weapon for eternity? STAFF IT IS!

Well if you are condition based a sword offhand is useless. Stay at pistol with combo fields. Next patch they wanna buff conditions to make them pve viable, you will be happy

Another question about the “ratios” / damage. Is it just me or are some phantasms damage nubers completly wrong at the description? E.g. iWarden deals 4k while iZerk does 370 … uhm … whut?
Also do they scale the same as all the other skills? I noticed after checking all sword (and GS after sword) skills that power increases the damage of every skill by the same % amount.
Anyone knows more?

Btt: Everything like I expected to be. Swordsman and Warlock by far the highest single target DpS, Pistol is just meh, Zerker best for AoE, Warden medicore bot AoE and reflection. The others are 0 damage 100% condition / utility. Perfect
Also, those possible 12 stacks of bleed on everyone around the Warden and that possible 120% more DPS on the Warlock from conditions… mmmm

Well, imo “phant bunker” means that you summon your phants and “hide” behind them. Not turning your back to the enemy.
But if you prefer to name it differently, call it “70% phant damage”.
No semi-competent mesmer is going to hide behind their phantasms in PvE.

Works pretty well, but clones will allways be better sacrifices. But in the end – better a phantasm than you. IF you can’t dodge anymore, all blocks are gone and you got <50% HP left. If :P
We are seriously talking about that 0%-9% damage depending on Illusions is better than 6%-10% depending on buffs? I can even go for crit-bufffood or precision stacks instead of bloodlust for even greater results (wich I am probably gonna do after this discussion thx
). This may be another reason for assassin set?
And yes, sad but true about the groups… I have noone anymore to play with ingame, since my guild “died to scarlet”. I just have one other member and all the others are randoms. It would be nice to have parties with great communication again

Without traits in domination magic and no power food this gives around 3300 power. It is ~6%.

200 power is not worth 9% damage. It is at best worth 6% or so.
Or so? Dude you can just calculate it. I run a maximal power set and without traits i got 2150 Power. If you use rubies you probably gonna go even less. 200 power is worth 9.3% in my case. If I’ve charged bloodlust it would be just 8.5%.
If I have 25 stacks bloodlust, I just need another 28 stacks of might – then 200 power would be worth 6% damage … but … 28 stacks of might … ya know.

I play PvE only and mesmer and engi seem to be the funniest classes ingame
But mesmer have a kittenty early – until lv40~
