Ele is squishy, I stayed in earth using sceptre/dagger and found I survived much better. Once rotation and blast finishers was learned it is even less squishy.
Blasting a water field with the arcane heal with several mobs around is amazing.

Quarterstaff, yes, but every GW class so far has used the staff magically. At this point, we have no reason to assume that it’ll be used to club people over the head. Honestly, as much fun as speculating on what new stuff will be, sometimes it’s just better to sit back and wait, no matter how impatient you might be getting.

I have no problem waiting. Extrapolating from a to whatever just annoys me however.

Massive decline is pretty much universal speak for “I don’t like whatever.” Not useful or meaningful but keeps some people amused.

Why are you wasting time using lfg? It used to be 40 min to guarantee a spot, now I often drop in 10 min or less before and get the kill. Hoping from world to world is not useful.

As was said above, you can safely ignore dungeon speed run meta if you don’t do speed runs. I don’t do dungeons often but I have run several on necro without issue.
There was a guild for learning dungeons you might check them out to get a hands on learning experience.

I am and have always been in favor of a dueling option in this game. I have faith that it could be properly implemented. If there was an option, when left unticked, that made it impossible for someone else to duel you, then there would be no harrassment.

One team is the bandits and the other are the seraphs, or people protecting a convoy that goes from point a to b, or whatever, and they start spanking kitten till one team wins. I can see how it will effect open world events, so I take back entire open world option. But I agree with indigo, I really don’t see the harm if you are able to do this in cities since no events or anything is going on . Also open dueling in hotm lobby should b added, Pratice with friends or guildie is much more better than with those npc. As for custom arena… Seriously who want to spend that much gold for a limited time thing

If done right, it would do nothing. Let say a dueling is done in a event, if they accidentally attack a mob, it would help complete the event. Now, if a dueler has a way to grief a event, it would be no different than an afker griefing an event.

Or they could opt for the simplest solution that’s proven itself to be utterly effective at making dueling not be a problem and foster no problems at all.

That solution is already in place. There is no dueling. There’s a fairly good chance there never will be.

Agree that they currently have a great system to prevent dualing harassment.

The whole argument that an official personal trading system hasn’t been put in, is because of scamming, is flawed.

There is personal trading. The mail system. But there is no system in place to prevent scamming when you want to trade directly with some one. Thus people have to trade to each other on faith.

The mail system was put in place, so people can give (donate free of charge) items or gold to each other. It was never intended as a trading tool.

Yet still has been used as such.

It may be used as such, but it was never designed to be used that way. As such, it is use at your own risk. The TP can be used at no risk at all.

So what was the point of not allowing secure player to player trades again?

There was a hack to do this thought it had been fixed. Maybe a workaround was found. If you tag the character send a report in and hope they find the new loophole.

Why exactly are you unable to use TS?

I’m not OP, but it took me 2 months of nagging my ISP for them to actually deliver close to their advertised bandwidth the last time I went toe-to-toe with them. That was the 3rd time I’d had to do it, too. I still lag out and dc, usually at critical moments that will determine if I get a reward.

Connection stability is far from a guarantee, particularly now that ANet seems to be having connection issues of its own, and I seriously don’t need anything else clogging my interwebz. That said, I’ll risk TS for this situation and this one alone, but I’ve only done it successfully once.

I’ve also been able to use it on my phone. Of course this requires a smart phone so you can download the app. I’ve sometimes resorted to this if my internet crashed and I needed to get word out as to what happened.

all light armour professions have really good condi builds. I like shatter mesmer personally but tastes vary.

Start items and level rewards are often soulbound. Not a loss at lvl two.
each item says if it is account or soulbound. If it can be sold it is neither.

Put everything in the bank. It will be there for future characters.
only soulbound items will not be useable so don’t bother with them.
I think they are tired of support tickets about deleted items.

Mostly I think they don’t see mapchat full of spam and think no one is there. Just run five seconds and I guarantee you will pass people on every map.

Every map has champs, many of them can be done solo, If you want pick a map within the 68 and under range that either of you have not yet gotten completely done and just clear it, hit the out of the way events, champs, mini dungeons and see how far you get. There is a ton of content that gets bypassed that is quite fun to do.

It’s well known that instead of coding the one loot table for everyone, games developers prefer to spend vast amounts of time making fiendishly complicated systems so that some of their players get better stuff than others. Accounts of this are always supported by large quantities of well-documented evidence, which takes into account all other factors that might be influential, so there’s really very little doubt about it.

On the other hand it’s pretty obvious that if someone gets 11 pre-cursors, and others who play everyday since release and got nothing. That there might be something wrong with the rng system.

I thought I just said that. The truth is, there really is no RNG system. Colin Johanson just sits at a desk and individually chooses who gets each precursor and when. Some people he likes, others he’s not so fond of.

I also heard that Colin is actually Santa Claus, but I haven’t found any evidence of that yet.

Pretty much this. I’m on Piken Square, and map chat is almost exclusively English. You sometimes get announcements from Polish, French or German guilds looking for members, and the occasional conversation in German or French, but that’s it.

Also, with the Megaserver, which server you choose really only counts for WvW, although it will have some influence (along with parties, guilds and friends lists) which players will be put into the same map instance as you.

They have never said official language of servers is English..

Upleveled untrained in PvP mob gets scattered by a person who knows their own profession.

Not saying the person isn’t being a complete and utter Richard (apologies to anyone named Richard). Some people seem to want to wave their willies to show how well big of a Richard they are.

I have fond memories of LORTO but waiting for heavy or minstrel is not one of them. It was not like a warden or champ could not cover most of tanking neck I knew a guild mate who could do a good tank on a rune-keeper. But mind set was guard for tank and minstrel for heals with everyone else damage.
Also I left when max was 70 and could solo most of the dungeons on my champ due to them not scaling.

That I don’t like, the open ended drop date.

You can’t lose armour, it can be damaged to the point it is no longer visible. Go to a repair merchant and fix it for free.
If you lost armour and gold you may have been hacked, contact support.
Also lvl 11 costs copper, and you get free armour from story and level up.

You can buy them once you unlock them. Can’t remember how many bandit crests they cost.

Looks like you tried them to a degree, take one of the ones you enjoyed to 80, then take another that you enjoyed less to 80, then see which at 80 you enjoy more. Or take them all to 80 and mix up your day playing various characters.

From the sounds of it you won’t like much especially since you will need to buy the story chapters with gems.
All areas are open without doing the story, and you can tag along with another player to see what the story was like without paying (you won’t get rewards).
Try it and see is the only thing to do.
