you can level them all on one character. Just pay a silver to switch when you have 2 active at once. You won’t lose any progress in any of them if they are not active.

Easiest way to unlock trait?

Yargesh.4965

Play the game. Some will be annoying to get, some are absolutely not going to be used by you. If you don’t have the traits you want by 80 go back and see if you want to get them by doing the activity or if you would prefer to pay for them. You will not be forced out of activities because you don’t have a specific trait (with the exception of speed run dungeons and that is a whole different mindset anyway).

Right but the rewards you get for doing nothing now are better than the ones you got for getting dailies by playing. Are you into achievement points?

what do you mean- better rewards for doing nothing?

log in rewards do not require anything but to log in.

yes, but are they “better”?
Havent really studied it, but wasnt it supposed to be more or less the same?

You got ap points then a random ‘gift’ each time you finished 5 daily things. Now you get something for logging in, something for each thing you do and 10 ap after doing 3. In my case I got between 5 and 7 ap a day so it is ‘better’ and I still get the same laurels (possibly more) spread over 28 days.

ah. I missunderstood. I thought you ment better reward just by logging in.

I a real way it is better by just logging in. Before if you wanted just to chat at Mystic Forge you got zero laurels, now you get as many as someone who previously did daily/monthly.

Mesmer is far from mainstream, one of the most enjoyable for me in game. Warrior is quite good but boring I personally believe.
Carrying your group is not something you should aim for, you want a group that can think on its feet and use its own character abilities to have a smooth run.
Everything can do sufficient damage in anything but speed clears of dungeons and if you want to go that route there are builds for that.

I could be wrong, but last time I checked, collections are an OPTIONAL thing to do in game. If you can do it with your character, great for you. If not, you aren’t missing out on any big thing. I mean, seriously, if you look at the BASIC collections, over 1/2 of them will never be done except by AP hunters. Collections aren’t meant to be something easy that every player can achieve without serious effort.

If you don’t think it’s worth the effort, then don’t do the collection. But if that’s the case, the only thing stopping you from doing the collection is yourself. Sorry if that comes off harsh, but since the Dec 16 patch I’ve had my fill of people whining about every little thing in the game that isn’t the way THEY think it should be.

And I’ve had my fill of fanboys and shills who decry any legitimate complaints.

It is not legitimate if you have not explored/refuse to use the options available.

I agree that the stuff you only need one of should be only in the exchange vendor.
I agree that recipes like Dwayna, Grenth and even Lyssa backs should be in the drop table.
I agree that the sigils and runes while fun for a bit (a very short while actually) should also be only in the exchange vendor.
I would also love to see higher tier mats find their way somehow into the drops.

Forum-goers are such romantics.

What if, WHAT IF??? What if everything is actually going well at ANet, and you all who come on here day after day to sound the alarm of imminent DOOM are totally mistaken, and too arrogant to see how wrong you are?

What if the reason ANet is ignoring you is because they have a bigger picture than you do, and they can see that everything is fine, and that doing what you suggest would not be the best course of action?

But then the world would not be flowing in the preconceived direction that they believe with their heart and soul. So the world would be wrong and reality would need to conform to their beliefs. Since reality would then change they are then correct.

They have not changed the basic function of any map, just appearance.

Kinda hard to take you seriously when you just throw random numbers around. Full light armor sets costs less than 600g to craft and considering how easy it is to get money these days it’s not that much.

http://www.gw2spidy.com/crafting/6?sort_profit=desc&min_level=80&max_level=80&min_rating=500&max_rating=500&min_supply=&max_supply=

The exact number is irrelevant, the core to the OP’s message is true. 1,500g or 600g, that’s way above the average player’s reach. Certainly way above mine. You may not be one of the “rich investor” types, but if you’re able to get 600g with ease, you’re certainly not in the majority either.

I make on average 10 gold for doing two events (wurm and teq). I can make a damask roughly every two weeks from mats I get from regular playing and breaking down drops.
60 days if I just use in game gold, less since I make damask on the way.
