The gem store doesn’t always need a new build or a server reset to add new stock. So you can’t really go by that.

It won’t affect me at all, as I already have 4-5 sets of armor in different stat types. for all of you that never use anything but zerker, and only one set of armor in that stat, however… Sucks for all of you!

You just need 150% MF or more. Silverwastes awards 200% right from the get go, and considering 150% or more MF is equivalent to 1 common rare material in every 20 kills (my personal testing in orr) and a rare weapon 1 in every 100-200 kills, you can really get one of these pretty fast.

Well its time to dust off my 600% magic find in Silverwastes! I will be in for sure!

I just got my Norn Female Mesmer through her lv 20 story and got the Norn cultural tier 1 light top for her and it unlocked the skin, but didn’t add to the achievement for cultural armor.

Its the same skin, just not rare.

The same thing happened to my Male Human Necro and his light part for Tier 1 while back.

Is this intended or a bug?

Its in the order of how the professions were revealed before launch of the core game and elementalist was always first.

But the laurels are guaranteed for 2nd (1), 7th (10), 9th (2), 16th (3), 21st (15), 23rd (4), and 28th (20 or some other goodies see below) day for a total of 45 laurels.

28th day is however, a pick of stuff ranging from the 20 laurels to:

Permanent 2% increase to account gold find, and a choice of:
Vision Crystal and 1-2 refined ascended crafting materials
8 Obsidian Shards and 7 Mystic Clovers
20 Laurels
6 Tomes of Knowledge

Just log in when you can. It resets every 29th login (resets every day at 8 PM EDT 5 pm PDT) back at rewarding day 1’s but you don’t have to log in consecutively. It continues from the next login and never expires or resets your login rewards for missing a day.

I don’t even log in every day any more.

Also the new system they are adding will be easier. And hi, you posted in the other rng and time gates thread!

You can wait to just deal with the current system and focus on getting to 80 and at least 65 out of the 200+skill challenges for when the change happens to keep nearly all of your traits and skills or do all the worldmap’s skill challenges minus Dry Top and Silver Wastes and WvW and get everything unlocked and then some for the expansion if you do decide to buy it n the future.

There is no need to get the expansion anyways right away either when it launches.

This I why I like Sega’s Sci-fi MMOs Like Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2 (Japan only for its sequel old one is an ancient MMO that is now private serves only), as you don’t need the best gear to have fun and be still useful/current for other players; its there if you want it, but having the middle of the road and just building your character well will make you able to do everything in all the difficulty modes. Though it is more dungeon crawler repetitive though.

Getting the most powerful and ultra rare stuff will make you just only a bit better and what not and above level to kill a bit faster, but I didn’t notice much value in it when I’m already decent and what I like and have.

It really isn’t your usual Asian grindy game unless you make it grindy and must squeeze every stat out of your character and be a “perfectionist god character”.

Only issue the sequel is Japanese only and you need to use translation patches every 2 weeks after every update or learn the language.

Allmost all endgame content can be done in rares. (besides medium and high level fractals).

Also the minute stat increase from ascended over exotic wants to say “hi”.

Now please don’t tell me getting exotic geared in GW2 is hard or takes a lot of time.

Yeah I was only suggesting a moderately fun game i go to when my grind gets too much, yet you are right! The game only needs at least rares to be optimal for 90% of the pve content but tell that to the “zerker only or kick” crowd and “you must be in a certain item quality /cough/ exotic or ascended /cough/ to be in our group” or “you need 5000+ AP or 10000+ AP” crap then you must grind for the gear to even be included in party play for that content.

It seems to me the OP and others on here need a guild that is friendly to them and doesn’t care what you wear or use or how much AP you have.

One I desperately want to make, but need help as I can’t build up the guild by myself.

I for one have no issues taking sub 80s through AC or any pre-80 dungeon or spending hours helping low levels. I might even want to map areas with you as I have alts that will need to do skill challenges and such in preparation for these new changes to the game we are all hearing about.

Hit me up! I may be free for helping out! You just have to want it and fight back against the mistreatment of the meta crowd.

And yes, I have mostly ascended and exotics already. I’m going into full ascended and making two Legendary Incinerators myself, but I do not like others treated this way and fell they can’t do anything unless they grind like the rest of us and feel they do not have to or don’t have the time to.

Map a button to look behind you which faces camera on you. You may have trouble with running into objects though.

I would like help to learn how to set up and use Anti Mirco with GW2 to set up an X-Box 360 controller and use a suggested set up for myself I devised on the older thread posted in here.

You can even get lv 42 rares out of 4 lv 14 greens. I used to do this long ago until even lv 14 greens got too expensive to buy off the TP, so it may be possible.

I don’t know what DR you are in, but the ones I’m in the afkers are legitimate players (albiet mostly RPers and just goofballs) I had maybe one or two gold seller occasionally but don’t be going on a witch hunt just because we stand around on the statue!

I have 4 sets of armor on nearly everyone so I should not have a problem with gear.

And making exotic rings for everyone in thing other than zerker will not be a problem either.

I wasn’t able to watch it all. So will it be somewhere for me to watch again uninterrupted for the full 4-5 hours?

I hope I can still have vigorous scepter… its the only way I survive on ele solo along with sigils of energy or whatever give endurance on attunement swaps.

I am always happy to help new players to learn how the game works and what to do or not to do.

General game play will provide most of the answers, however there are some things that are just not obvious and require research and help to figure out.

On the other side of the coin; sometimes the help is met with hostility, trolling, and silly arguments. Because of this I tend to keep to myself and leave things be. I usually whisper players in dire need of assistance just to avoid the caustic player types.

I don’t do dungeons and fractals because I just hate the negative nature of the majority. WVW was at one time my permanent home. I left it behind because I grew tired of running around in giant zerg blobs that more often than not became hostile as well.

My best advice is to seek out a guild that is helpful and friendly.

Yet most helpful and friendly guilds will teach you to do everything the cookie cutter and god awful way we have everything currently, zerg blobs in all content Zerker or GTFO in dungeons/fractals, stack in a corner and press 1, so a new player isn’t really better off in the end and they just only learn to follow the leader like lemmings and not really think for themselves.

Its why I want to really get enough gold to fully upgrade my guild to allow to have a more free thinking environment all the while helping out new players and such.

The company should have explained the UI and event monitor better and how it works in respect to the maps are on, as no one seems to figure out how events work together to open up key areas and thing don’t get done on a map in a timely manner and places that we need opened such as, Balthazar Temple, Incendio Templum, COE, COF to name a few, are closed all day long as everyone ignores events as they don’t know they are all related in some way.

Can we get a Dev on this ASAP? Its really getting annoying!

I’m making one only for the personal story achieves and to have a ranger. Nothing else. Don’t really like them much. I might make her a villain in RP and use for PVP/WVW only.

Yes please this game shouldn’t any longer have any exclusives based on class or race! its is against the manifesto (yes bringing that old thing up again) to have exclusive gear on any one race. Make it cost more if you have to!

Couldn’t have expressed this any better! Things need to change to have things for the better in this game to be welcoming to those that want to experience everything and have the challenge of doing full dungeons with no skips, like me for instance.

Gold is no object for me, I want to actually challenge myself and killing everything in a dungeon and fight bosses without stacking, using the anet intended roles, etc.

Its going to fall on death ears like every other dungeon and content solution posted on this forum for the past two years sadly. As the company lack the man power to even do these great improvements.

As for me, I’m going to work on fully upgrading my guild and welcoming anyone like you or me that wants to start our own things like this maybe even give the money out from a guild collected pool as compensation to players that don’t think like you or me if they don’t want to just do longer runs for some of our better enjoyment of the game.

My female human, Yumiko Emi Ishida has the red eyes, like in a camera; still it seems to be with blue eyes that it happens. I had this eye color since launch.

I use the default Canthan faces (heavily edited) for my girls and it seems her eyes have a red reflection in the pupils like a camera flash was used on her.

I don’t know if its the eye color or the face choice.

Edit: confirmed by another player: its the face type not eyes.

My pet peeve is people using the wrong names for the wrong races, such as Asian names that should be used on Canthan humans only but used on sylvari, charr , norn or asura instead and wasted and no one else can now use (I’m going to have to now write these down and tell my friends that are Canthan fan-boys and girls), but since we do not have an official RP server and no one enforces lore appropriate names on this game, it can’t be helped and many names are used incorrectly. I saw so many names I could have used myself that I now can’t unless I use umlauts or other mark above my consonants and vowels.

Yes Konig, that is the main problem as most RPers, even myself once I get a suitable PC to handle it, like to WvW and there is not enough RPers that only want to RP and nothing else, not even WvW, or pve, or pvp, to satisfy a huge need to make a big move to a low pop, non-contender in WvW and make it justified enough to move us all to it as well.

Even though I used to know a few prior to our WvW greatness + mega server that only wanted RP and nothing else for their Tarnished Coast; I’m pretty sure they all went to other more “pro RP” games, yet that is a totally unrelated issue.

It could work though if enough skilled players that also RP all move to the new said server and upset the balance in all the servers in WvW as_so many want to get into TC for the RP and not for the WvW as they can really WvW on any server and enjoy it. Its just a matter of metrics and need then.

It may even reduce the trolling against us a bit as TC is more of a WvW server now than unofficial RP as it once was mainly because as you said server don’t matter outside of WvW and you can guest and join guilds and add friends for RP get -togethers.

I guess the OP is saying he or she doesn’t want to go through all that hassle with guilds, friends, and guesting, and kill many birds with one stone and just have a place for us we can ultimately call our own, and if we want to still WvW, we can in our new server and not really have anyone against RP (trolls issue) at the same time.

You can always decide to move all the RPers in NA side to a low pop server that doesn’t ever do well on wvw if you don’t care about wvw at all. I was even considering transfering to one to make a new home for all of us.

And no one has yet got upset for my posts on here…. I guess it wasn’t worth my time to do so.

Well considering they purposefully don’t support mail trading, I guess thats on you… o.O I’m sure they’ve made it pretty clear that they want people using the Trade Post, if you want to find way around it theres risks and inconveniences. It not meant to be “fun” because it’s not “meant” at all…

I don’t even trade over mail and if I do its very small low value stuff…. and when I do giveaways, but in the giveaway cases, I don’t expect anything back… but in all fairness and what you said here, anyone that does trade by mail will now have to make trades in ecto + 500g for big items between friends or just avoiding the huge TP cocts and this is exactly what Anet tried to avoid to begin with when making GW 2 with a TP. I guess we come full circle. Yet I won’t be doing it. Ecto may see an increase in value though if it catches on. It will be unwieldy for the RMTers though.

It was the first thing that came to my mind too OP! The days of kids (and myself) doing the airplane thing! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. My canthan girls are so cute doing it too! I’ll buy a tonic or something just to have it again when its over!

People weren’t reviving for the reason of DPS races and stuff in PSO 2 JP and eventually people complained: both the English speaking players on it and the native Japanese.

Now reviving is encouraged as you get fun points to spend (40 per revival) everytime you revive someone with a revival item. That game however has just plain dead no downed or anything nice like GW 2 has. We can dodge however.

GW 2 needs to add something like karma or what the other member suggested: a new title track + effects for said titles.

Yeah! I always want my Canthan girls to do that cute “yay!” when i do /cheer and all the other more cute female voices and less of the deeper sounding voices we get at random.

Walmarts nation wide stopped carrying anything GW 2 period. That means the cards too. Walmart has a stupid policy of thinking a 2 year old game is not worth selling anymore. I won’t expect them to restock GW 2 core game or any gem cards when Heart of thorns comes out.

Try Targets if you have one. They know what is popular and keep selling what is a money maker.

I didn’t get a beta access nor did I know it was going on until it was to late. I don’t really care though as it may not even work well with my terrible laptop. I can barely do much as is in the main game. No WvW or tequatal or triple trouble for me. I just farm materials play the TP, and RP.

When the expansion comes out I may have a new pc for it but now I
don’t even want to try playing even if its a few hours on a beta, I may not even enjoy it.

Better off staying in the US servers where you don’t lose your progress you already had and have to start over and other intricacies.

I’d either be my elementalist and have all her problems (physical, psychological, and social), dreams, aspirations and her tragic past; it would not be fun… being a 43 year old widow with the looks of a 26 year old.
