Not quitting at ecto gambling when I had 500 ectos from 399. I lost everything but 66 Ectos. Never going to gamble ectos again.

A lot of followers on my list are people I played with and we both mutually added at one time to do something in the future but then I forget names easily and have no idea who anyone is on my friend list, (I’m bad with names but always remember appearances) so I remove them only to see they are still befriending me. No one I have on there actively stalks me any way and they may have forgotten who i was as well and forgot to remove me in turn.

I only block kittens and trolls and people (usually trolls too) that harass me because they suck at lore and think I’m not a Canthan character in game.

This might help me on Elementalist a lot with staff in pvp!

I managed to get stuck at the bottom of skyhammer because of my necro macner and his minions and traits. It took along time to die there.

As I said on another thread, I’m not going to touch HoT for 3-4 months! Halloween is always first, then comes Wintersday in two months, all the while between core events, I’ll be mapping on every character to get the new core game map rewards and figure out how to play all my 80s properly: such as Thief, Mesmer, Necro and Engineer and a new warrior, ranger, and a revenant I’ll be making once I upgrade to deluxe for an extra slot added to my veteran slot and buy a third with gems.

There will be no time for the new content at all for me for maybe a year. I also have to get my loot vacuum mastery done asap.

I am just going to do Halloween and map old maps on alts, get the individual map event rewards, and never touch HoT until next year as I’ll be doing Wintersday only as well. Also I need to get my loot vacuum mastery done first.

Before the increase, I had 5 keys drop over 3 years. And after increase, probably 20 chests so far and 0 keys. I did however get a key out of a daily login black lion box I left on my norn mesmer for months, and opened it post increase.

The idea is sound (no pun intended), but to record all those soundbites and then re-record all the personal story for consistency and then all the expac new voice overs and then factor that in for future seasons and expacs…well it wont happen.

Even if it raised enough money, it’s a lot of development time, since it has to be scheduled in when a VA is available, which knocks onto delays in other developments and then scheduled when the studio isn’t being used for new dialogues…etc etc etc

It might seem a small thing and the idea has been suggested many times before and in theory, it’s a fun idea with merit, but realistically it isn’t practical. It’s one reason progressive games like MMO’s stopped giving voices to player characters

PSO 2 wants to have a talk with you, but you’ll only hear Japanese lol. Over 200 voice sets for buying or earning through various means. And Yes! We have pitch sliders for every single one! Sega wasted no expense on their flagship MMO/rpg series. (also, its FTP) Don’t you wish Anet did the same?

What we need is:

Go to map of friend or Guild Mate by just right clicking them on contacts/guild panel. Yet restrict its use if they are not in same guild or party (normal taxi) or when they are not a mutual friend (watcher) to prevent grieving, stalking and/or bullying.

Caveats:
Non-mutual friend not in the same guild and also not repping same guild at that moment in time, are limited to one taxi in this way per unique player.Aka just a watcher in contacts.

Same Guild repping at same time has no restrictions to taxing to any member actively repping.

Party taxi works as normal

Mutual friends able to go to same map unlimited times.

Your numbers are wrong about earned outfits.The hexed outfit in Halloween is earned not bought for 3 candy corn cobs. So you get 2 earned outfits.

There is always Silverwastes for obsidian. I never go back to that temple.

Keep this! I asked for stuff like this in ages juts make the yellow, you know, darker? I always wanted to know where people were for mega server so I know if i’m in the same map or not.

Eridyne, I wholeheartedly agree with you. If you are a NA server player please consider joining Tarnished Coast Crusaders and/or Mentors of the Meek; a set of guilds devoted to helping new players and not stressing about meta or gear. We do not require anything for content.

We will all be moving to [MEEK] when HoT launches and [TTCC] will be used possible for TC players only for WvW/pvp.

Which is what I said in my post, not all nobles are the same. Mine adheres to the what it means to be noble; the word’s connotation itself and what the opening for the character creator last step and going to your lv 1 personal story starter instance says: “It is my duty to do well by the people of the city of Divinity’s Reach, to lead my people.” she does not abuse her power, nor sit idly by. If Yumiko was there and not part of the pact fighting her way there to safe them, she’d treat her servants fairly and possibly fluff her own pillow instead and have them sit under the tent with her when night falls.

Yumiko is just a lady…as her family were originally immigrants from Cantha as far back as WiK in GW 1 250 years ago. The Ishida-clan fought for Kryta and in-turn, kept their nobility as the process goes in the article above. So her family eventually got to the point to be respected enough to be allowed into noble society and inner workings no questions asked, yet even though not in a state as bad as Kasmeer, they are pretty much in dire straights now.

The Ishida family is more a military family and as such— fights for the nation instead of lazing back and doing nothing. They are very queen-loyal which caused the Izushi, a rival clan Yumiko married into and had her husband take her name, thus getting them very jealous of her and exact bloody revenge and start a 20-year feud/clan war which ended in 1326 AE with Yumiko killing their last matriarch Ayaka Isuzhi-Ishida.

Many lives were lost on her side and all that is left is her sister and her daughter (my alts) and one assassin for hire (he was a ranger) of the Izushi who was not related to the clan.

Yumiko and her daughter usually does civil work for the communities in Kryta, usually charities every year around her birthday during Wintersday, which is the Canthan Calander month of Kainengtah 22 (Dec 22), or Season of the Colossus 355.

People think Canthans just don’t exist at all anymore? What, because the Canthan district was scrapped that whole continent stopped being a thing? The sister story line for human specifically allows you to choose Canthan as your character’s origin. My Ranger is LUXON, so screw them. They aren’t elitists, they’re RP TryHards.

Anyways they also say I’m some sort of weeaboo or some kitten. (Names of Japanese origin existed on npcs in GW 1 Factions go look for yourself.) And that annoys me to no end! Handled it pretty well in Lion’s arch when complaining about people using the wrong names on the wrong races and ethnic groups, but that is a whole another story and shows how far my own brand of elitism goes.

I am probably pretty elitist myself, but I also have the sense to help people new to things including RP, I provide links to the GW 1 and 2 wikis and explain stuff thoroughly and helpfully.

Yet i ran into fellow elitists that were just terrible to people and myself, especially that I play as a noble of Canthan descent. They used to trash talk me that I’m a bad RPer and Canthans don’t exist anymore— yet, the game has many examples of to the contrary.

Also people know me for being a bit too on the realism side, and that may be a bit off putting when it comes to certain moments and stuff concerning my female character and not able to drink like a fish unrealistically as we do in game. she will actually excuse herself to find relief, etc after a few drinks and that seems to be off putting to some, but I RP in a more serious realistic manner how a person in real life would react to alcohol. Not down 500 drinks, and not even get sick or die.

Also I do a lot darker themes. Stuff that would fit a more M rating. My character did wipe out a whole Canthan clan over the period of 20 years that threatened Kryta and her own survival. Some may see that as cruel.

I usually as a result stick to my own small group and people I known since RPing on here in the first year of GW2. Like many here, I do reactive RP in the bars and main RP areas and don’t join guilds. I have my own house guild, but its dead and just me and my family of alts related to my main.

I say kill them all, but I’m going to have a bit more fun with it in my RPs, as I want to do a more conflict with self with my human main as she had Sylvari friends in the past and may have issues with being in the Pact and Vigil still with everything that happened in season 1 and 2 (Scarlet Briar with Lions Arch and the pact fleet being destroyed by Sylvari as well) and her duty to now be on the side with the Pact/Vigil hardliners who will want every Sylvari dead regardless if they turned to Mordy or not, or to just not trust her old Sylvari friends and allies or go on as usual and be nice to them.

It will be a very interesting road to go down indeed!

What? Where have you been? Under a rock since launch? The character creation has all sorts of ethnic groups.

You have Krytans (traditionally darker skinned Mediterranean styled Caucasians) and now they mixed with so many different humans in Guild Wars, that they all appear Eastern European almost British in appearance except for the queen how is still native Krytan. Ascalonians who were you big nosed (yes they do have bigger noses/bridge of nose than other humans) classic Eastern European White looking humans.

You have your Asian-based Canthans which includes the Asian-greek mixed Luxons and the goth pale Kurzicks. Both of which can be reproduced faithfully in the character creator.

The you have your Elonians that have three subsets, each being based on parts of Africa and one of which being very middle-eastern in style.

The game is already 100% diverse for the humans. Its just the majority of a player base is either Asian or White/Hispanic and doesn’t make anything but.

I posted my two Canthan woman. And I have 4 Canthans as Its too easy to have a white guy or girl.

I hope we human get a new dragon when Elona or Cantha gets remade and we only hear what it says. Even Norn only hearing Jormag and everyone else hearing Growls.

I noticed a lot of us got an improvement in graphical performance as well after the recent build. Before today, I was only on native sampling and all low settings, now I have a few things on high and medium and all the check boxes checked by default, after auto-detecting. Also its on FXAA by default, when before today, it wasn’t able to use it unless I force it.

Captain Hao Luen is a Canthan, but he does say much to you except go “Yarr!”

You have a problem with Canthans? I can get that some people just make a character and don’t bother to change its appearance at the start. As Ele/Mes/guardian human females default as a very “super moe cute” level Asian face for the Canthan heritage in the Guild Wars universe.

I really want to see more Elonian descent characters and proper named like Mohammad or something or African tribal names even.

Show your love for a bit more variety and the games different cultures!

Comme on, I have about 600 tomes , i only play pvp and i can’t buy skins because we don’t get much money in pvp … but i still could make keys to get black lion chests and get some skins like that.

Can we at least exange 30 tomes for one key ? Because leveling up in pvp just makes no sense, i start lvl 80 anyway . It was the only pve junk i could make use of spending once a weak one or 2 hours to make some keys. (Tomes now = Bloodstone dust —-> Trashbin ! )

600 tomes =600 spirit shards, put up with it and use them all for shards, then make 1000s of gold using the shards in the forge to convert mats, make rare skins, etc. Look up a video on how to do that.

You must be swimming in “useless” pve stuff by now like mats huh? Get off you rear end and make money and stop feeling sorry for yourself! pvper have the best ways to make money over all players!

I’m an introvert as well, but for me, I actually interact with people. I just don’t require it all the time to function as a human being. I keep to myself and much more happier that way. Friends I do have and trust the most, I keep for life no matter how little amount of them I have. I also hold them in utmost regard.

I work best alone on things I’m good at. I have no problem with group content, as I love helping others for nothing in return.

I classify as an INTP on Meyer’s Briggs. Which is Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking Perceiving. The allows me to think things through with logic and solve problems in this way, and perceive threats in the game and ultimate help those in need. I don’t care either way to partying up or not.

I don’t act silent towards other in groups, but I avoid small talk, if something interests me though, I probably won’t shut up ahahaha!

I value RPing, playing the story of the game, and taking time on things and developing my own strategies to beat content. You can see why I’m against the meta so much!

I don’t have any ascended beyond weapons and back items. and accessories… I find armor harder to make, but not unreachable.

I’m working on my third back item; a second mawdrey. So my priorities lie elsewhere.

I’m also working on my first armor set in Verata’s/Sinister’s and for two more daggers and a scepter or focus.

Its time consuming and a bit annoying with the time gating, but not unobtainable in the slightest. And playing 6-8 hours a day is pretty much hardcore levels, even though I don’t consider myself so.

Is there a way to do it with anti micro? I have no way to buy xpadder.

If anything, GW3 will be the point in time when all the dragons are dead and whatever is supposed to happen when there is way too much magic around.

Or if the dragons and the gods are related in some way, we will next have to fight the gods themselves for Tyria.

Only two scenarios that would even warrant another sequel.

I’ve been joining dungeons with newbies when I’m bored. The other day, I saw “AC p3, final try and we quit.” They were (all level 35-60) on Kohler when I joined, and only 2 alive in the fight, so we wiped. I told them to wp and restart. They were all kind of down about it and they lost another party member with that wipe. So I said, “well the good news is you can skip Kohler and still finish the dungeon.” Their reaction to this news was priceless and we finished without more issues. I’ve found the newbies to bring new fun to dungeons, and I’m always happy to share my knowledge with them.

I’m shaking my head at this…I don’t know what to even say anymore…This is what I feared for the new F2Ps. Every new player now is going to be brainwashed into taking the easy way out for everything, “Skip this skip that!” How will they ever learn how to fight stuff like this in the future when they are ready to buy HoT and you have raids and hard content with similar bosses and they can’t skip it? They will just become like most of the old players we have now, blindly following stuff on the web and guide with no idea how to think for themselves!

Everything in GW 2 exists to build upon the next thing and prepare you for what is next. Running from your problems in life or in anything solves nothing.

If I were going to help them in AC, we will do Kohler how it was meant to be done watching for its tells an dodging right when he does his pulls etc, and no stacking! One they know how to do it the original way Anet programmed it, I then teach the way people “cheat” it with corner stacking etc.
