Gw2nodes.com is always correct provided you map each map to their proper IP.

Problem is that the maps will change every once in awhile so you have to remap the nodes for the new ip every time. Yet the old map ip, if it ever returns, will have the nodes in the exact same spots you mapped them in before every single time. I tested it with the three Orr maps already.

Gw2nodes is only wrong if people assume they are in the same IP every time on every map they visit.

What I really want done by everyone is to have every map mapped out no matter what for every IP.

I had this a few days ago, not sure if it was related to this patch or not, but trying to view the guild trek list when a guild trek is active crashes GW 2 at a 50/50 chance.

Before you do fix it make a button to “only show stuff usable by your profession” like in the trading post. So it reduces clutter.

Account names are not unique in this MMO, player character names are however.

Yet we still scream when falling only 3 feet.

They need to fix this for spears too as lv 15 spears can’t be made either. The whole crafting is broke at T1.

1. trying to join a full party after clearing the usual error message result in a: “You are no longer in the party.” what party? I didn’t join one.

There are a lot of chains and ropes and ladders in old maps that could use this. Especially in Lion Arch where a few homes that can’t be reached have ladders/ropes.

I get like 2-5 foxfire every run up and down the green coast of Straights of Devistation then running across Malchor’s Leap and then finally going through Cursed Shore. I’m mostly selling it now as I don’t need it. I’m only after corriander and truffles.

Wrong! I see Chinese Characters (and by extension Japanese Kanji) being able to be typed with Microsoft IME all the time on my end by other players, either being serious or fooling around.

It just occurred tonight and Korean can be used as well and recognized by NA clients bought overseas.

Yet for some reason my IME is broken and I can’t to JPN, Chinese, or Korean if I even wanted to and if I could type/speak it. (I do plan to learn a multitude of languages with a new PC as I think this one is the problem).

This is just like an old thread about someone wondering what the A is appearing in their chat, it seems GW 2 doesn’t support as many languages as GW 1 did including Russian, Japanese, Arabic and others AFAIK as the IME support is not there. As I know GW 1 was able to display almost everything and anything in any font or language.
Currently Korean fully displays and Chinese as well. I used to be able to type Kanji which is also Chinese characters. Now I’m unable to do that and the IME is stuck in the base Latin character mode/English just like yours.

If I do decide to lean both Chinese and Japanese fully (which I can on a new computer much better as I don’t wish to use the language software I have on this laptop as its old and slow) I won’t be able to even communicate with those that use those languages and do play this version on the US servers. As most SEA/Asian nations players in GW 1 did.

I have this problem as well as what if I want to start communicating with someone in those regions on our NA server(there is no other place for them in game elsewhere and we know this.)

(In fact, I just met a SEA member in my guild tonight who could speak in Korean, JP and Chinese and English)

You and I will just have to wait for there to be full support again for IME in all languages. GW 2 seems to be only a Latin character-based (English French Spanish Italian and German) language game only!

Game Informer has us featured for HoT. It gets a full two pages and basically says what we already know thus far, but its nice that such a prominent magazine has its eyes on us once again. I could put scans if I could/was allowed.

We brought it back to life as we do not need a third or 5th or 50th version of the same thread only to have it merged weeks later.

I still think you have all wrong and its the dodge meter called wait for it: “ENDURANCE”
for aerial dodging the flying foes they will be adding. You can only glide/fly for so long as you descend to earth, so you’ll probably not need any gauge or anything for flight time as the trailers shown players going down rather quickly but not as fast as falling to your death normally.

Only way newer players will catch up is if all the 26k+ players all left the game and never come back forever, and a lot of them have done that. I’m almost at 11,500 AP and I missed quite a few bits of LS 1 and a few other events but I been here since day one myself and taking breaks and missing a few original monthlies/dailies and I’m pretty confortable where I am now. I’m also nowhere near mt 15 k cap.

Its not really an issue for me I just wish there were a lot of good sources besides the tedious WvW and PVP ones left.

I will take everyone and anyone no matter what you are but I do not or will not skip anything or stack. I’m in it for loot and killing everything and not the end result; I’m planning to test a theory of mine on if the loot tables are set on the opening of dungeon or on the kill in instances and also if there are set uber drops as GW 1 had.

Hey op if you are on and in NA and in EST time frame I’ll take you for anything and you use what you want cause I’m sick of the BS too.

I want to solo and kill everything meaning no skipping, and I mean everything by myself to test a theory about loot tables and how they are set for instanced content to see if trash mobs are worth killing do to reports of precursors and good loot hidden away on dungeon foes. I have a fully geared ele in exotics and ascended. I do not care how long it takes me to complete it as I have all the time in the world.

If there are people that still do full clears with a full team I’d appreciate that too as I just need to kill everything and record the drops that I get every run of each path if possible (I just will be mashing Print screen).

Its also bad when you have jerks that single out one player like me that has canthan themed characters and Asian names including Jpn names. I know its going on as I have 5 on me within seconds. I just give up playing pvp in any form as even if I was good, I can’t do nothing against “lets beat up the Asian lover”.

My girls are going to love this! Yumiko, Hikari, and Tomoko finally anet respect us canthan fans!

For all we know, that bar will be like our current dodge bar aptly called endurance. You will be able to dodge in the air as the trailers shown dragons flying around and other flying foes. I’d hate to get hit by that and not be able to dodge midair.

This is why a company should implement the small stuff like, seeing hp in numerical form etc form the get go. I know if I was to make a game, I’ll give my layer every resource available from day 1 so none of us have to play this guessing game. Also btw, controller support.

Actually you can use an Xbox controller for GW2. I set one up for my wife, but it is fairly complicated and she had to have a cheat sheet with all the buttons. In the end it turned out to be much easier to use the keyboard and mouse. :P

I’m used to controllers though I never could play properly with keyboard with mouse. If I knew how to do it free of charge I would.

Xpadder isn’t free anymore. So I got Antimicro, but not sure what to do with it. I have a possible button mapping I want to tray experessed in the thread you linked.

It really disturbing… seeing now we can’t see our friend’s levels or anything and seeing if they are the right level for content or not.

Granted HoT content will be strictly lv 80… how will this affect the old stuff like dungeons and what not if the level on nameplates and party side panel are not visible?

Not everyone is going to do dungeons at 80 and new players will definitely want to do the dungeons they are at the level for immediately when the NPE tells them its time.

Yet In WP’s vids recently it has been said by devs that the level number will be gone for good in HoT nor will anyone see we are 80 either or any level for that matter below 80.

This will mess up a lot of stuff currently, especially for fractals and other old high level content that needs 80s.

Anyone have the same concerns I do? I have 4 80s, with 2 more on the way, so it doesn’t matter too much for myself and I’m a vet player, but organizing for content will be much harder for me when HoT launches especially when I try to help noobs and not require anyone to be meta or 80.

I need something for my xbox 360 controller wired for GW 2. I just found and got antimicro 2.11 and what I want to see is:

Note: Going for a one button one action one stick one movement as per the EULA and ToS of GW2. Or combos for one action which is allowed.

-Full range of movement with left stick. Should be running/strafing/etc of course.
-Target switching with d pad.
-X,Y,A,B, and start for 1-5 and a mod hold-down trigger (LB pref) for 6-0(10).
-LT is to be held down to F1-F4 with X,Y,A,B and start+LT is to swap weapons.
-L-stick click for dodge (default is backward anyways in GW 2) + direction will be directional dodge
-R stick for camera but when skill is used it changes to move target for the AoEs and clicking right stick in will cast.
-back and start should open inventory, hero, etc (or many menus if allowed without ban) or have modifiers with LB, RB, LT, or RT +back for inventory, hero, guild, BLTC and all four triggers/shoulders with start for map, PVP, WVW, and esc key menus.
- jump with RB
- walk toggle with RT
-interacting with objects looting would be back + start.

I wish I knew how to set up the antimirco myself.

I for one believe that Cantha – or other Asian-themed content (maybe Dominion of Winds, which is… well… right in the middle of our known world now, isn’kitten is in the works.
There are so many themes outfits and items in the (gem) store:
- outfits: Hexed, Ancestral, Shadow Assassin
- weapons: Belinda’s Sword, Jade Weapons
- minipets, potions: Monkey King, lantern
- other: Marjory’s hairstyle

We get Cantha mentioned, we see parts of thereof (mostly jade sea)…
All there, all taunting us…

You forget armor sets/skins:

The two new gem store armor sets: zodiac and ceremonial, and the 3 lv 400 crafted exotic sets: Exalted, Emblazoned and Draconic.

Also weapons: there is a Sai looking dagger Usoku’s Needle. And the jade set. You also have the zodiac set of weapons. Entropy and Genesis hammers have the Canthan symbol for warrior.

For trinkets back items and rings and amulets: there are a lot of Canthan themed stuff and related to GW 1 Canthan lore for ascended.

Elona has far less references and gear themed to it as far as I know.

Also BTW: THERE IS A POST YOUR CANTHAN TOON THREAD I MADE WHICH FELL BACK TO PAGE 4 OR 5 ON THIS GENERAL SECTION. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT WITH YOUR GW 2 CANTHANS/CANTHAN DESCENT HUMANS!

I’m worried about the level number going away now. There is no way to see if anyone is 80 or lower for core content. This will really divide players more and make new players feel left out of old and new content.

Instead of looking at my party area, I will have to ask what their level is… of course 80 is required for southsun, orr, frostgorge and wastes areas and the new HoT maps, but dungeons? I should only have to look at my HUD!

I had 7 in a row in one day, and I still get one like very 3 runs.

A Canthan has an Asian appearance, so only characters you made with that look are allowed here. (I miss the race threads)

A hint: Elementalists and Guardians have default faces set to Canthan ethnicity. So remember that on character creation.

Over 4,000 hours and 2 pre drops. I like to kill everything and not skip over mobs kitten many do. Both drops have come from trash mobs.

I have also purchased several off the tp and got a lucky forge drop. But only those two open world drops.

Look for my suggestion with postage stamps. It would solve this as you are required to pay postage on both the send and receive end before anyone can take anything. The postage will be a lesser gold sink or more depending on quantity of items + gold sent however. So 5 items + gold attached = a bigger sum to pay vs 1 item and no gold attached.

You may not know this, but ranked achievement counts both unranked and ranked but not hot join. The red marked one in your images counts everything.

Yet can you go farther than the city? I can only do that with Asura and Human (and now charr), but not anyone else my map has only poi and no other features

As the title says. I really don’t care if I have to pay coin to way point to an outside of the instance area, I just can’t do it in the hunter hearth instance in Hoelbrak where I can sure do this on every other racial city and any instance for that matter.

I have to take the extra step and hit the door icon to leave first then way point.

Problem: What happens is the map has no way points available.

Update: i found it to be true with everything except Asura and Human homes.

I should be able to do what Humans and Asura can do leave instance by way pointing anywhere!

My main Yumiko, has 3270 hours 30 minutes.

0 precursors, but I did get a Zojja Dagger in EotM when it was brand new. It ended up in my rank up reward for WXP.

So at least I got something equal in power.

Gaile Grey is talking about the lava JP in Caledon with the platforms that vanish. You do get armor damage for dying in the lava even after a fall kills you outright!

We just had a Sylvari killed in the sun tavern just yesterday. Forget about trying to purify them, they are being killed before they even exhibit any changes.

I glad it was on sale as I would have never bought it otherwise. It does help for my ascended crafting as I never am able to get enough cloth without the recent snowflake to gifts trick and this. I can’t get low level cloth easily anymore as I have no low levels I only get lv 80 gear.

And I don’t like to bother going back to old areas where the chance is small to get low level stuff to drop or even going through enemy loot bags.

Guaranteed is better than nothing!
