I opened 12 boxes and didn’t get any boxes back yet, so I hope someone is paying attention to this.
Wait, people got chests to replace their missing items today?
Yeah, I can’t get the PvP gifts either.
Could we get a dev to clear up this mystery?
Lick wounds is OP. In WvW I downed a ranger with someone else in a place we couldn’t peg him. We started attacking him with ranged attacks to kill him off, then he called in his pet to heal him. He healed right through all our attacks, and a 3rd person showed up to help, but he still healed through 3 people attacking him. After he got up we downed him again, but pegged him that time.
It’s OP.
Well, I opened about 12 chests just after the Wintersday update, what day was the bug introduced?
They “fixed” bosses, so they no longer fear when they have defiant stacks.
This change really nerfed necros, as that was really the only reason people used them for anything with their easy fear access.
The other solution is that you stand idle for 10-30 seconds and the enemy kills you anyway.
Or have the penalty only apply if you’re in a downed state.
I finally decided to ‘cheat’ and went to a lowbie area to massacre them to both get payback as well as finish my monthly. They don’t have retaliation or the AoE spam below level 10
They do, I’ve been opening boxes in level 3-9 areas on my engineer as I level it, and it’s been getting creamed by them.
There is no “exit door” above the mini-map in this dungeon. It only appears once you complete the dungeon, however if you reenter for any reason it’s not there again.
I refuse to use GW2lfg because my university AV system has declared it a viral infection node.
I’m stuck at level 1/2 because of this crap. Nobody wants to go through them with me. I can’t even do my monthly because of it.
AN, I’m disappoint that you didn’t include a fix this patch.
The increase in damage/speed with sic em will make my jellyfish the most OP weapon underwater. :/
I did this event alone all the way up to the waypoint chamber. It’s not too difficult. Just swim near the top of the main chamber and pick off any lone spawns for the data core collection. The monstrosity thingy is the easiest mini-boss ever and I barely even had to dodge.
I always figured you should be able to select what items you want to pick up rather than the wholesale take all button we currently have. Well, keep that button too, but you know what I mean.
I want my Ranger to be like Link from LoZ (I always considered him a Ranger).
I personally think the Fractals are fun, if a bit repetitive. But there are some issues with them, that should hopefully be easily fixable.
1. As the only source for the trump-everything ascended gear, many other bits of content that offer inferior exotic gear as a reward will simply be skipped.
Fix: Make fractals just one way to earn ascended gear, the same as you can get exotic gear from: Dungeon Tokens, Crafting, Rare Drops, Black Lion Auctions, etc.
2. The fractal level system makes finding a party an excessively difficult task. You need 4 people of the same level.
Fix: Allow anyone up to 5 (arbitrary number) levels lower then the top level guy, to participate at the highest level available. The rewards and difficulty will be at that level. Upon completion, everyone will be given a +1 level advancement. So a party has people at the following levels: 10, 10, 9, 8, 7. Everyone can participate in level 10, and once completed, everyone would be: 11, 11, 10, 9, 8.
3. Fractal Disconnects suck. The other night, my game disconnected me right near the end of the 3rd fractal. No reward, no advancement to the next level, and my party couldn’t manage to 4 man it so they gave up after a few attempts as well.
Fix: Allow people to rejoin their parties fractals after a crash or disconnect.
This. I had the same thing happen in #3 on my first run with Fractals. Ever since I have avoided them like the plague (excepting monthly).
Make them account bound rather than soulbound as there’s no real way to exploit these being that way. As it is it’s just an annoyance having to switch over to the character that bought them in order to use them.
Make ESC take away your target before causing you to stop auto-running. I usually want to lose a target I didn’t want to click on in the first place due to buggy screen panning, not stop running.
The 60 condition damage + 60 power on the divinity roughly is equivalent to the 120 power on the ruby. Precision is fairly similar. And the other things are the icing on the cake. Divinity is better for a all over build but if you don’t care about defense then ruby.
Make it so.
Basically all you’d have to do is reuse the code from BWE2 Finale with a few reskins.
Well, let them know they only have to dump 10 supply per 3 minutes to get their event reward. Which can be easily run from a supply camp.
But you did list the item when you sold it to the person or persons who made the offer.
No, you fulfilled a order. You never publicly listed the item, there was no middle man involved in the transaction.
The guild founder still has priority and can’t be demoted. :/
It’s up to him to prevent that from happening, and assigning responsible leaders in the first place.
Or just don’t promote anybody to a leader position besides yourself.
I play a full support thief and glass cannon thieves are a joke. Most of them unload on you in their first skills then are initiative starving.
The trick to survive them is simple, toughness and vitality.
If most of your utility skills are DPS skills you are doing it wrong. You need survivability, you need to use combos in order to survive.
It’s not the surviving that’s all of the issue, the other part is how good thieves are at escaping, so if their attacks don’t kill you, they usually can get away scott free to laugh again another day.
Uncontested Fort Aspenwood (US) now.
do you get upset when you buy a car and next year new model comes out? do you expect your car to get upgraded? don’t be silly people. you bought the game when it was in beta and got 2 BWE’s to play before the launch. should people that bought the game now demand from anet to give them their 2 BWE’s? anet is doing business as it should. they are attracting new players and I’m glad for it.
Except a car is a physical item with certain expensive requirements to be upgraded. A digital game doesn’t have those problems and is in an entirely different category. Don’t compare apples to oranges.
It does seem like you should get a short CC immunity in PVE every time you get CCed. 2-3 seconds would be plenty. There is nothing interesting or challenging about getting chain CCed from 100% to 0% by a few mobs because their attacks happened to line up that way.
Yeah, if champions can get CC immunity, then why can’t we, after all we’re “better” than champion mobs.
I’ve never seen anyone get a precursor from a chest either
and I go to dragon events quite often o.O
It happens occasionally, same with the temple chests. But not at the frequency of the Karka chest (which was pretty much an exotic fest which was why everyone QQ’d).
The towers are invisible till nuked, and there’s this red AoE ring that seems to follow me around any time I attack something, even if it has no AoE attacks.
I want to see the hole in Divinity’s Reach be expanded on. We can see things moving down there but not what they are and it would be an awesome place to explore. Great setting for a horror show down.
I remember that, so much funny especially because it was right before the crash so all the golems would probably have disappeared anyways.
As you never listed the item, why are you still being charged a listing fee? It would also make filling buy orders much more palatable to people as you’d make a larger profit that way, even though the buy order is often much lower than the listing price.
Welcome to the world of condition builds. :/
Not an exploit, just an area where the spawn invulnerability overlaps. Just don’t be a fool and follow them there.
If you’re using the ghost buster cannon when the dragon on this quest goes down, your HUD will still be active during the final cinematic.
If you move too quickly through the dream, the pale tree won’t activate at the fort preventing the battle from occurring.
If you hit the skip button fast enough, the dialog from the cut scene won’t show up in the chat box. This is kinda annoying for me as I usually skip the scenes and read at my own pace.
you think you have it bad, try being on level 1/2.
One way you can check your FPS drop is by opening your contact (Y) menu. When you do, your FPS drops by 1/3 or more.
If you’ve downloaded anything with torrents recently and then tried to play you will get this error (from your ISP throttling or some AN error) and the only way to make it go away is to shut down your computer for about a half hour till your IP refreshes.
Since the last patch there has been a huge increase in lag for most people, including me. Want to see something funny? Open your contacts menu and watch your FPS drop by 1/3.
AN something was messed up last patch and we’d like a fix soon because it makes WvW interesting (not in a good way) when you’re attacking a zerg and suddenly everything goes into hang mode and when it comes back you’re dead.
I want my juvenile to become a elder.
How you can respond to that in a civil manner is beyond me… You must really like your job. It shows. Thank you for the great game. Bugs happen, it sucks to say something is fixed and turns out someone still might have an issue. Most of the time its a problem between the seat and the keyboard though.
I look forward to your dungeon overhaul btw, can’t wait to start doing dungeons, my experience has been way too bad.
What I’m surprised at is the thread didn’t get an insta-delete. Even at my cheeckiest I never mouthed off that bad and my threads still get deleted. :/
Here’s a gif of the armor in action.
As you obtain more stacks of a boon or condition, the icon for that condition should grow more prominent to be up to about 2x at max stack.
There is, but it’s a normal chest.
To open it you need a team of people to distract the gryphons while the bomb is run past.
I have been farming for my legendary pretty hardcore over the past few weeks (farmed passively since the beginning of the game) and I just get sad when I look at the list of items I still need for the Legendary.
So far I farmed EVERYTHING that is non-gold related. Karma/Skill Points/Badges/Tokens/Exploration/etc..
Roughly adding up the remaining materials I need that are gold related, it looks like I’ll need around 500-600gold, maybe more.
That is just ridiculous. I have like 50gold, 75 gold tops (if I sold everything).
What do you think the % of gold buying players is for those who own a legendary? I think at least 90% of them bought gold. 7% got a pre-cursor early on, and the rest either got funded by their guild or got lucky with a few precursor drops.
Farming it should not be based on luck. The only way I see my self getting a legendary is by getting really lucky by getting a precursor drop, and still it will be hard to get.
Then don’t farm for legendaries.
If you don’t enjoy the thrill of the hunt, don’t go hunting.
There is no fun in grinding. If you think there’s fun to be had in doing the same thing over and over for hundreds of hours, then you have a psycopathic disorder known as OCD.
Many people complain that in Orr it is hard to get around due to the lack of players to help hold waypoints. I have a solution for this problem.
Most waypoints have a DE that determines if they become contested or not. As it currently is, NPCs are no match for mobs, and unless a player is around they will inevitably fall and the waypoint go down. Since Orr is lacking players much of the time, I suggest that there be a new RNG roll added to each of the DEs to counter this if no one is around. If there are no players in range of the dynamic event when it starts, there should be a roll for a NPC buff called “Inspired”, in which the NPCs will be given additional stats which will enable them to successfully complete the dynamic event.
With this buff then there will be more dynamisism in dynamic events, so that you don’t always have to have a player to succeed, which is not dynamic.
Legendary weapon is something that proves you play more than real life.
That’s kinda sad o.O
Anyway, the point above wasn’t that earning Legendaries isn’t fast enough. Rather, that the current way to acquire Legendaries is badly designed. It has many good elements (Gift of Exploration, Gift of Battles, and so on), but it relies too much on earning gold, effectively becoming a grind. Considering how ArenaNet has mentioned often how they would rather avoid grinds, it’s only logical that acquiring Legendaries should be challenging and time consuming, but not based on grind.
You dont understand one thing … Areanet really dont want grind game and they dont encourage grind at all. Thats why you have DR.
They made legendary as long term goal, year or more. They wanted players to play dungeons, wvw, some events, spvp and there gain all the gold and mats, but they cant just stop unpatient HC farmers like me, who enjoy farming gold to achieve it faster by farming.
LEGENDARY WEAPONS are not ment to be grinded in 3 months. it was supposed to take years. But if you are unpatient and HC player like me and you want your legendary in 3-5 months, I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND HOW CAN YOU EVEN COMPLAIN. BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE TO GRIND CAUSE YOU WANT YOUR LEGENDARY FAST.
So please stop complaining that legendary is about farm. Because If you think its about farm and grind, its only because you choose to do that this way and you just want long term goal to be achieved in 3 months.
If they made legendary weapons obtained by long quest which take 1-2 years to complete. There would be another thousands new players complaining about how its long and how its only about lame quests and how its not legendary because the quests are so boring.
And to by honest, for developers and for the game itself its easyer and healthyer to let players craft legendary mostly from gold related materials than some story. If it was story, everyone would have it and it would take huge amount of resources to create this story, those can be used to add major content, as wvw, spvp, dung stuff.
LEGENDARY WEAPONS are ment to be crafted by 5% +- player base of Guild Wars 2. You think its worth to create long story, content that sucks that many resources only for 5% player base? I dont think so.
And dont even try to say anything about everyone should have his legendary, just dont please.People will complain either if Legendary is done by puzzle, story, gold or whatever. Thats what people do the most. Complain
I hate anyone who brings up the ~5% argument in support of the current requirements of making a legendary.
Let me set you straight, from Steam statistics, usually only about 5% of players ever complete a game in the first place. So really, legendaries should be for someone who completes the game, namely does all the dungeons, explores all the land, completes the story line, and a few of the other good ones from the OP post.
Legendaries should not be for people who grind gold and materials all day for 5 hours everyday. They’re a reward for sticking with it and completing the game, not for grinding. They need a serious revamp. Especially the RNG element of the precursor. (Mats is a RNG matter as well, but you can still get them regularly, but they need fixing too)
