One thing on the multitude of stuff I would love to see added into Regular WvW is the Badges of Honor drop, in EotM when you kill a champ the quantity is a little higher which is great considering the prices of the new toys that we can use.
so please increase Badges drops in WvW same as EotM so I can afford to buy these toys/traps stuff etc.
everyday I try to complete this LS stuff and one thing or another happens, either crash, get sent into empty prime hologram room, the knights glitch, the overflow goes bonkers….the main server goes whacky in one form or another.
ill keep trying but this is trying my patience.

I was noticing the ridiculous price of these on the BLTC and decided to farm them instead, from wandering around Bloodtide Coast (mole’s head) and laughing gull I have realized that the wrong moldy container is dropping.
the Moldy sack is dropping NOT the Moldy Bag which is what Risen mobs drop.
all Risen drop bags in various sizes not sacks, and even then the drop rate is horrible.
Can this be put on the To-Do list?

I was wondering that since their is sooo much Condition Meta in the game, is this Buff going to include condition damage reduction?
this buff is very underwhelming except if I’m 1v1 with a build that wants to melee me.
and I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen that happen.
BUG: Enemies can see how much supply is inside a Keep/Tower
it’s goes along the lines of the outnumbered buff, how can they tell when they are outside?
Number 3 is not a bug. The waypoint opens because the defense timer completes its only open for a split second all the attacking group has to do is go tap a gate.
I think “NotKalkz” is referring to the fact that a server has to continually hit a gate to keep a waypoint contested even if they are in the Lord’s room wailing on him.
As for the 3 minute window, not a big fan of that mechanic either. IMO as soon as outer or inner is breached, a waypoint should stay contested until it isn’t. It should only contest in that scenario as well so no more “knocking on the door contests a waypoint”.
I don’t see whats wrong with tapping the gate 95% of the good WvW guilds watch the timer then tap it. Yea a few get through but is it really all that fun taking none defended keeps?
enemies don’t see the timer, AFAIK you can only go by the contested symbol on the map and then try to time it yourself.
the whole contested waypoint thing needs work, since it only takes 1 tap at 1 damage to activate the event and disable the waypoint.
or if you wipe the enemy out of the keep you still have to wait for the timer to run down for it to open.
a quicker timer would help sorta, I still think there is no reason the waypoint should be contested in the first place, I can sneeze at the outer gate and boom it’s disabled.
the whole timer thing needs to be thrown out for the contested waypoint.
if there are enemies in 2000 range of the waypoint then I’d call it contested, not from someone walking by 10k away and plinking the outer gate.
Topic Goal:
The Edge of the Mists features numerous changes to the standard WvW mechanics.The most notable changes are: Scoring on capture of objectives, scaling creatures, new and more difficult NPCs, unique bosses at each objective, increased emphasis on verticality, more chokepoints, a much shorter match time, and destructible terrain. Of the changes included, which would you like to see implemented in the standard WvW maps?
Please feel free to mention anything not included in the above list, it is simply intended as a guide. The goal is to take some of the things that worked best in Edge of the Mists and discuss how they could be done in the other maps and what the positives and negatives would be of those changes.

Proposal Overview
Removing the upgrade options from towers, camps AND keeps in WvW
Make all objectives listed to have the same default defenses to work with as in EotM(INCLUDING SMART NPC’s/Champ Lords)

this simplifies the game, you get cannons oil to build if you want, people can build more of course.
Associated Risks
The risks I don’t see, the walls and gates would have to be toughened up to match EotM and adding extra outjuts to gates so that 2 oils can be properly placed would be nice.
all in all I like how you can just go kill people and not worry about upgrades.
The supply generators ( Yay no more Yaks) would be a huge + also
all the stuff in EotM pretty much makes it to where you have to keep moving, keep up on your area/map in order to keep stuff, you only sit to defend when have the time to get to that objective. otherwise you try to cap something on their side to compensate.
and of course, no more siegerazor on enemy maps would have to be implemented.
The ruins were great when the buff was 150 or whatever, now since sooo many people cried about it being OP it got nerfed into oblivion. now the buff isn’t worth the time to most people.
some people wanna play WvWvW but they don’t want actually contribute to the server, they want to play solo or roam for fights, so they are going into a situation where teamwork is key and cry because they got outnumbered in a 1v5.
raise the buff back to what it was and people will actually try to cap the bloodlust to help out their side.

Proposal Overview
- Sentry Turrets (that reveal enemies on EotM) and/or the Observatory should be on every WvW map.
Goal of Proposal
- Helps players scout for enemies attacking their structures – replacing the need for a player to stand in a tower all day being bored out of their mind as a lookout.
Proposal Functionality
- There should be an Observatory on every map that can be captured.
- When captured, players on the server that captured it may place Sentry Turrets to track enemies on the mini-map. Or, the Observatory itself could track enemies within its area of effect.
- Perhaps place multiple Observatories; each one would allow coverage for a different part of the map. A good number would be 3 to 12 per map, so that one doesn’t cover too much of the map by itself.
- Observatories should be places that are easy to capture; likely without walls or gates. This would help players quickly take them out to sneak around and capture more important locations.
Associated Risks
- It may become very hard to sneak around to capture places with small groups.
- Even with a large zerg, an enemy may always be ready to counter if they can see you on their map at all times.
I like the idea of Sentry Turrets, the Southeast Ruins (Carver’s Ascent) would require very little tweaking and it’s a very high point, OR put an observatory up north where the old place of power was, OR re-design the JP entrance to include the observatory.
Making it easy to capture would be a big NO-NO; This functionality is powerful and as such needs to be difficult to achieve.
I agree, the LoS on AC is completely broken, you have to imagine yourself as a first person to try and see where a ac can be placed, and even then the collision on such ridiculous things like a outjut that is 2 inches higher than my ankle can block a AC shot.
meanwhile a catapult sits at the wall with 50 people standing around waiting for the wall to fall.
this is broken and needs to be undone.
So….how about adding Boon Duration and Condition Duration to the stats
if say overall Celestial/Divinity combo loses about 10-20% critical damage
then how about adding those 2 stats to make it a true “All-stat” gear
Chest would be 3% Condition Duration and Boon Duration
Legs 2%
Helm 2%
Boots 1%
Gloves 1%
Shoulders 1%
that would still make the gear so-so and therefore not getting buffed or nerfed
for the divinity/travelers you could just remove the crit damage and add Condition Duration and Boon Duration 2% per.
Equip defensive stuff and spam 1. Scale eents up so they are harder.

I am sorry to say but WHAT the heck?!?! you have 2k gems 400 gold and not one 20 slot crafted bag, no bag expansion slots open, no WvW siege, only 1 set of armor/weapons
this tells me you are missing out on at at least 70% of the game.
but grats on having a decent amount of gold and gems please go get some bags so you can hold more stuff!

and I have to add that it is the fault of the server that people aren’t achieving the top reward. ANET built it just fine, it’s the players that need to cooperate and focus on the goal.
this is true for almost everything outside of PvE, so once all of us on a server can stop being selfish then maybe we can actually enjoy being pro’s at LS content.
I feel bad for the Developers that put all this work into making this and now they have to watch it turn into a loot-fest.

I’ve never understood why people go absolutely crazy when there is more than 1 tag on a map, all you have to do is ask “where am I needed?” or “who needs more people”

I find it sooooo funny they left out the crafting stations and Laurel vendor, but the BLTC, Bank, Guild Bank etc seemed to figure out how to move all peoples stuff to VK.

the sheer amount of clicking to put 4 majors in the forge to get superiors out scares me. I mean I’ve done about 100 at one time and that’s is a helluva process.
I wish they would allow for 4 superior runes to get another random superior, just seems like a logical formula.
Somewhere in a earlier patch when they were tweaking the scaling of loot and stuff, I am pretty sure it said something along the lines of.
if your level 80 and killing mobs in a level 0-50 zone the loot will be of the level that the map is.
but I am not sure it is working correctly because I still get level 70+ loot from under level 80 zones. from level 2 to 50 zones all seem to drop stuff for my level which is 80.
If you get any greens or blues you don’t need to wear or use, right click them and “sell on trading post” you’d be surprised how quickly you can get some cash flow going.
I don’t care who transferred over to another server, what I’m more annoyed about is the fact that SOR is running the show in EOTM because they seem to have a ton of WvW guilds – most likely bribed with $, and it isn’t fun when you’re a minority because then it just becomes a numbers game rather than an actual strategic, fun, and fair playing field.
Ya, SoR has some pretty rude kids playing, the amount of QQ when people don’t follow them is very annoying, sure the badges are nice blah blah blah.
but because the map capacity is so high you can’t seem to get away from them.
BUT I DIGRESS, the biggest issue is common courtesy with commander tags, if someone is actively running around on the map, don’t tag up and scream for 5 minutes to rally back at spawn. people are trying to enjoy this map and all your screaming/kicking/QQ is taking away from the game, OUR GAME not yours.

let’s get this game into real-mode and have some actual damage NPC’s dying buildings unusable bridges all broke.
if it’s just a token graphical damage that doesn’t really stop anything then whats the point
come to Hoelbrak Scarlet wouldn’t dare touch it
In no particular order
Guards in the Towers: they repair they even man cannons they have some smarts.
The Toys: the Mech Scorps (Lotsa Damage in groups, very squishy)
the Sentry Turrets (Very handy, love hiding them and making the enemy go on a easter egg hunt)
Air Strike Grenades (so far under utilized very hilarious when used in big groups)
Immunity (Altar) boon: again another under utilized but hilarious mechanic when used en masse.
no more upgrades! towers get what they get and it is upto a few people to defend which takes a little effort and good luck on PvD with those common sense chokes at the gate.
tougher NPC’s love it.
you get a decent amount of badges to blow on the new toys!
the supply delivery system, that’s pretty nice, it’s easier but more stuff needs supply, and the NPC’s love using it up.
the Aetherblades, those are fun and tough.
The Supercannon, WOW that’s fun just watching it fire across half of the map
the Map itself is a great design, all the little touches, places, climbs, drops, etc good stuff.
The frostreach side I seem to keep missing if our side ever pushes into there, but defending that area looks fun.
I love the overall give and take, some stuff may seem overpowered but it has a bad side to balance it out.
I’m sure im missing a lot of stuff that just makes me smile, but anyways it’s a fun map and I hope to see some of that map mechanics into WvW.
and FGS don’t forget the chests after taking a keep/tower/generator/special objective.
Those Scorp Siege Mechs are great, 1 AC makes them scatter, so theres the balance you can do good damage to walls and gates, but you are also pretty kitten squishy.
It’s a fast paced map which is awesome. it is a great start for future polygoning? I really hope they put those single NPC’s into regular WvW, being able to solo a fully upgraded camp in WvW just doesn’t make sense.
and the AI omg loving the direction they are going with that. Smart NPC’s so refreshing.
don’t like the turrets? take em out or get out of range, don’t like the Sentries? again kill em or run past, don’t wanna zerg? goto WvW find someone tell em to goto OS and on and on and on.
EotM is pretty fun for offense or defense; and the extremes of keeping balance for stuff is great.
the one thing I would love to see though is a lower map capacity. I dunno where I got the feeling that it was gonna be around 20 per color. that would be nice.
Just from the outside looking in, I find it great that 90% of the server can all agree to do something together, be it dump WvW for EotM or PvE or just stop playing WvW/EotM all together in order to get new matchups.
never seen that type of cooperation ever in GW2.

I like this map but there just so many things that are there but don’t really work, the Preview video had a very different view than what is here now (even had a targeting circle I believe)

30 points in Valor is usually a bad idea for PvE/WvW, even more
so because you use such horrible traits as Purity, Altruistic Healing and Retributive Armor.Huh? Please explain. As far as I know, the Guardian-meta for zergs has 30 points in Valor and uses AH, and the meta for roaming has 30 points in Valor and uses Monk’s Focus. Now since you’re saying that’s horrible… I’d really like to see your reasoning behind this statement.
Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough, but I think it’s quite obvious to see why Purity(completely unreliable way to remove conditions) and Retributive Armor(Impractical to get such amounts of toughness, and even if you get 2k it’s still just 140 precision) are horrible… Altruistic Healing might not be in that bad of a spot, but it’s still pretty weak in my opinion.
It’s fine I guess if you swap out Purity and Retributive Armor for defender’s flame(burn on block, can be pretty huge) and strength in numbers(150-750 toughness).
And as I’ve checked your build example you have 3.2k armor with 15k HP and 300 healing power, completely unforgivable waste of defensive stats – getting 2.7k armor and 20k HP would tremendously boost your survivability, so to say.
Strength in Numbers will only give you and Allies 150 toughness at level 80, it doesn’t stack; it doesn’t add up, it is just a straight 150 while in combat.
another thing to note toughness doesn’t protect against condition damage (nothing in our stats does) so yes I’d look at raising your hitpoints more so that your natural or traited condi-clears have a chance to kick in.
Every class applies conditions, you don’t fight for more than 1 or 2 seconds before you get 2 or 3+ more conditions, so clearing 3 couldn’t possibly be overpowered.
WvW isn’t just for your guild, not sure why people keep thinking it is.
Use voice comms it is really easy to roam together without needing a tag.
DR on greens and blues? can’t go much lower as it is.
No it’s just for the people on your server waiting to get into the map your queuing up for.
I would still love to see how many players from my server are actually on a map,
maybe someday.
Not sure where the disconnect is, go into and PLAY PvP you’ll see neat messages pop up as your trying to win the match….now just take those types of messages and put em in WvW.

a lot of different type of nodes can produce other stuff with regular tools
the only difference is the tool used versus the node used.
and it’s sprockets…… those kitten things are everywhere like furbles they are multiplying!!!! don’t store these or they will eat up your precious stuff in your bank
imagine waking up one day to see all your bank slots filled with just sprockets.

Yea I don’t get it, I found a probe already destroyed got some power cores. I’m not gonna sit on map looking for these probes what am I missing.
Now, as some of you recall, the developers recently tacked on five extra days to the Tyrian calender, claiming they had always been there and, similar to The Secret World event, Guild Wars Classic experienced periods of “Nameless Days”. The obvious reason is that someone forgot Wintersday in Tyria actually isn’t supposed to line up with our Christmas, yadda ya.
But I have a much more terrifying idea:
We don’t really know if the Elder Dragons we’ve seen the minions of so far are the only ones, in fact, it’s all but confirmed there are more out there. But what if one of them is REALLY out there? In space.
An Elder Dragon of the Stars so massive, it’s sheer existence has shifted Tyria’s orbital revolutions enough to add whole DAYS to the calender?
What if the Star Elder Dragon observes us from afar, examining us like one would watch microbe swarm and multiply in a drop of water?
What if the Star Elder Dragon draws closer and closer every year, and by the time we know he’s there to fight him, it’s too late, the entire star system Tyria resides in begins uncontrollably tumbling towards it?
That’s a Scary thought RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!
if you have a legendary im sure you also know how to have Rare/exotic bags they help a lot for click happy people.
all my various gear that I use goes into to my bottom 2 “Safe Boxes” then next is my “Rare Eq” box
I get exotic drops so rarely I haven’t found a need to get an Exotic box yet.
turn on rarity color and get some system of boxes to help sort automatically and don’t be clicking so fast
Another problem I see here the words Zerker and PvE in the same sentence.
and also when you say Zerker what class are you talking about because as a main Guardian going Zerker is no way efficient and it’s pretty laughable because of way those traits work.

I think thief, Ele, Ranger, Mesmer have the most trait pairings that make sense.

Can’t compare condition damage and power, they are 2 different things.
I really have a problem with the Zeal Line and the Radiance Line
Radiance is Precision and Condition Damage WHY? there is no crit chance on conditions.
Zeal is another odd line, it has a lot for symbols but there’s a few things in there that are completely useless if you are using a scepter/focus.

Adept Trait I Binding Jeopardy Immobilizing a foe also applies vulnerability to them. Only scepter or Hammer can use this.
Master Trait VIII Focused Mastery Reduces recharge on focus skills. no symbols on focus
Master Trait IX Scepter Power Scepter damage is increased. Scepters don’t have symbols.
other classes do have precision and critical damage in the same line, so im not sure why all classes aren’t treated the same.
Gates need to be like walls, plain and simple.

if you have ever played PvP you’d know there’s nothing to click it just pops up same as the wxp message you get when ya kill or flip something.
my server BP has no problem reporting or looking at the map, and with the timers/overlays most people should be using, it’s basically the same thing just not third party.
