20 second lasting portal with downtime if traited of 8 seconds is pretty huge mobility if u can use it infinite times granting barrier on top.

the prob with that you will be half dead before you use it… and thx to the range it wont help anything againts all the bloated mobility every class has nowdays compared to necros….. they will be almost instantly on you again….

On a serious note… can we get blocks atleast ? as a bare minimum ? on some of our skills ? or something ? Mobility maybe ? so we can hit people with our melee abilities ?

would be nice if i actualy could do something againts the obvious Burst dmg that is coming in my way the moment i see any other class runing in my way…..

or something that helps us get away from people ? seems like everyone else can teleport/Jump/dodge/invis through half the zones if something goes bad except us…

also can we maybe just MAYBE not get anymore Nerfs on our ONLY existing Defense ?
you know… Shroud ? THE shroud that suppose to replace 4+ other defensive mechanics alone ?

The game is balanced entirely around PvP anyway. PvE is a secondary afterthought. That’s been apparent for years.

i wasnt in the Beta was busy doing the entire season 3…

but i heard that even the MOBS on the new expansion are tunned for Condi dmg and Power feels weak and hits like a wet noodle on Mobs compared to condi…
is that true ? i don’t know if thats true or not….

But can we globaly start nerfing conditions ? or start bringing up the power builds ?

we are at a point where almost every single class meta build is Condi……. let it be PvE or PvP…..

I can’t tell what’s funnier. Quishies getting ganked by thfs or thfs getting salty about guard anything.

Quishies ? 3000 armor and 20k + 17k Shroud HP is not squishy… still getting instantly blown up by thiefs when they jump on me in seconds…

thats Broken… with that mobility and utility they should NOT have that ammount of dmg….

Hi, I wonder if Anet is going to allow us to use proofs of heroics to unlock new elite traits in wvw at launch day?

If they are going to use new currency to unlock the new elite traits…I hope that it can be obtained via skirmish chests (just like proofs of heroics).

if you have got all hero points available in the game, at this moment, then after maxing everything you are left with roughtly 300 spare ones

which means that if they stay at same cost to max a spec as the first gen elite specs – you should be able to buy it out on day one and still have spare hero points

i have ALL skill unlocked and have ALL the existing Hero Points..

i have a total of 363 free point to spend :P

Sorry little late in replying.

Of course insta kill builds are discouraging…but new players know they suck and expect to die to experienced players. Even non insta kill builds will kill new players quickly enough.

Point being, you can’t balance a game around people who are unfamiliar with the mechanics and end up dying because of that. I try to help new players when I can but I can’t be expected to not play at a level which can kill good players just because that may feel overwhelming to newer ones.

dont act like everyone is just BAD againts thiefs lol…..

Thiefs is broken both DMG utility and mobility wise something needs toning down….

I run minion build and its fantastic! Some traits/skills might use tweaks, but your statement is just laughable…

Oh you’ve figured out how to do at least 30k dps with minions on 4k health raid dummy? Because that’s the only PvE metric that has any relevance at all. Survivability is worthless because even a glass ele can survive all content that exists in the game. World content is worthless because any class can do that fine. The only PvE part of the game where a thing being good matters is in raids.

Make Power Reaper Great Again

Non-Soul Reaping Power Reaper was actually buffed.

Dagger/Warhon Spite/Curses/Reaper Proc Build is not slow at all and has a huge impact in WvW smallscale and sPvP. Just pick Paladin Amulet if you feel too squishy. It’s viable as Trooper Rune /Full-Shouts and Strengh Rune/pick whatever utility you want build.

(This does NOT mean necro is fine! It’s not, but there are still viable builds that are fun to play.)

other classes do the same or even more dmg with INSTANTS then a Power Reaper with his darn slow channeled MELEE abilities… that only works againts people that dont know how this game works….

Drop that danm GS and Staff if you want to do damage! ;-)

I’m starting to think the same. Stupid GS will never hit anyone with half a brain. Before I got HoT, I was using power dagger. It does good damage when you get close. People won’t just let you AA them of course, but at least the attacks hit. I will miss the Nightfall stomp though.

i can actualy do more dmg with Daggers ONE single ability Life siphon alone then with the entire Kit a GS gives… in spvp

because its ranged and keeps going on invis targets…. and it also Heals lol

GS is a failed design…

You CANT design a Melee weapon WITHOUT mobility thats just WONT work at ALL…..

and NO a single Pull wont replaces mobility especialy when its not instant and has a half a year channel time and a super obivious HEY DODGE me animation that is also super slow….

and even if it hits.. 90% of the times it will be Blocked or immuned….

Yeah i keep being focused on in spvp because i solo queue and i get told that necro is fine l2p cause i get cced while in shroud and out shroud and blown up in 5 seconds due to massive burst and bleeds and poisons on me.

I gave up spvp because it was frustrating.

you just described Necro gameplay…..

majority of classes dont even need to CC a reaper in shroud… they just stand back and chip down your shroud from range while you have no chance catching them with their HUGE ammount of mobility… and when shroud is gone they have free 10 sec to go on you with their broken burst that can take you down in like 5 sec no matter how much Armor or HP you have and lets face it as a necro thats all the defense you have lol…….

1st and foremost, and this is the most important part of this, stick to your team. Necros need an effective babysitter to perform effectively.

2nd, try using flesh wurm, and spectral walk, those should give you some outs.

3rd, accept that you are the most dangerous person on the field due to your boon hate, and at the same time the weakest, due to your lack of personal suitability, and as such, will always be 1st target. You need a good team to support you to survive.

in other words….

your useless alone as a class…
you will see the respawn room more times then dead enemies…
you need to be hard carried by others to be competitive….

They’re not even letting elite specs be tested in PvE. That’s how little they care about viability of necro in PvE.

You think these people listen?

They don’t have public test realms, and the extent of their testing is weekend previews.

They virtually don’t care about your feedback.

the state necros are in for YEARS now proves this….

the AMMOUNT of ideas and suggestions this community give to the devs on these forums for years now how to fix the necro or rework it or ANYTHING is CRAZY now…

and we are still at where we started years ago…

Power Builds are still Unviable..
Minions are still phatetic..
Blood magic trait line is still full of useless or realy weak stuff..
Soul reaping just got Nerfed to Oblivion…
GS as a weapon is still totaly useless in Spvp …
Our survivability is still trash in Spvp…
STILL dont have a single reliable ability that counters Burst dmg like everyone else have…
Still have no mobility at all…even tough we got a melee elite spec at this point with a melee weapon…. LOL Logic devs USE IT !!!!

and the list just goes ooon and ooon and ooon….

i could make a BOOK with the list of issues the necros have Since release…

and i could Fit all the issues that got fixed by the devs after YEARS to a lone Sticker…..

yeah and 90% of those top Reaper necros are Condi……

power necros are brokenly phatetic and weak stop deffending it …..

its NOT a high risk high reward class…. its hig risk for mediocre reward…

meanwhile majority of classes are low risk High reward or high risk Broken reward…..

a Power reaper have NO real worthwhile utilities to deal with the majority of classes that are BLOATED with them……

if your class needs someone to be baby sitted to be good for something it means the class as a whole is brokenly underpowered…. and you would be better of playing something that can deal with people alone like every single other class at this point….

a Power reaper is

-Slow
-Realy vournelable because it has no blocks or immunes or anything realiable realy
-no worthwhile utility
-no real heals that actualy heals for something while other classes Healthbars jump up and down like mad man thx to all their self healing they have in their kit
-had no defense againts Burst dmg
-has no mobility agains bassicaly almost everyone because everyone have better mobility
-has almost no range at all outside of axe to actualy deal dmg to kiters

All that dmg a Power reaper brings means NOTHING when you cant hit ANYONE and getting melted…. the kitten Long channeling times makes it HARD to deal any significant dmg EVEN when you finaly catch up to someone because they will dodge or get out of your ability….

other classes do the same or even more dmg with INSTANTS then a Power Reaper with his darn slow channeled MELEE abilities… that only works againts people that dont know how this game works….

i haven’t seen condi thieves lately the majority is running D/P or S/D marauder…

same… and they are SWARMING spvp… all im seeing is half my teams are getting instantly killed by Thiefs jumping in and out and teleporting allover the place…

im forced to stack toughness to survive all these ( i insta blow you up thiefs )

im at a point where every 2nd player is a thief….
im done with Spvp at this point until changes not happen… and looking at the chats in game im not the only one that left Spvp because thiefs….

More mobility….
A Trait that gives Pulsating Protection or Regen every few sec while in Shroud
More mobility….
25% movement speed in the VERY FIRST Starting Trait for Wielding a GS
More mobility….
Faster cast time and lower CD on the GS pull…..
More Mobility….
A Trait where 10% of all the dmg you deal Heals you…
More Mobility….
The chill to bleed Trait reworked to something that increases your dmg somehow..

btw if Devs actualy listened this time reaper will get enough rework to turn it into a WORKING and Viable Power build while gutting Reapers condi Part to the ground….

Yeah shamans, my bad.

But see, this confuses me so much. RIGHT NOW, condi Reaper is far superior to power reaper, that’s the way most people play the spec I’d argue. Yet we basically know for a fact that Scourge will outclass Reaper in condi damage, however there are zero buffs for power Reaper on the horizon.

So for a player like me, who just loves greatswords and wants to play Reaper even when the expansion drops, I’m taking a huge gamble if ANY Reaper build will actually be viable at all or if Anet “conveniantly” forgets to buff power Necro, so we’re all forced to play Scourge.

That really sucks, I was looking forward to craft my first legendary (I want the Dusk blade), but I have no idea if Reaper is even useable in PoF…

maaaan im like this since i got the elite Spec at the begining of the expansion…
and im running Power with GS since the very begining…. and i Aint changing because its cool as kitten… useless but cool….

so you can Imagen how I FEEL about this….. IF the expansion come and there will be no Power Reaper Fixes/changes/buffs only scourge scourge scourge… and reaper will be forever forgotten Spec that devs dont care anymore because it was a previous expansion old blablabla…

then i gonna break something in here….
im bassicaly torturing myself with Reaper since RELEASE hoping that it will be better…
and the ONLY thing i allways got when i read the patchnotes every single time is a SLAP in my face from the devs….

The class can’t be good if the community hates the mechanic/playing against the unfun mechanic.

Thiefs…… anyone having fun fighting one ? still the king of 1v1 nuking anyone down and trolling half the other classes with broken mobility…….

but yeah scourge WILL be bad… its too stationary…. means its too easily avoidable… means everyone with a brain will massacre the scourge necros left and right….

maybe if there was a timer before u can use a mount after leaving combat it would not be as much of a circus act- but if all u need to do is leave combat for one second to use your mount this will be a joke

stop comparing tera its a different game…. with different mechanics…

Also you need waaaay more time then 1 sec free window to Mount up + Run out of range…. and all that without getting hit by anything…..

jokes aside I’m not sure if it’s the issue with just these two or if it’s broader issue…

[and for how much I hate to fight against enemy mesmers or thieves I’m afraid I cannot speak objectively on their specific class balancing ]

Mesmers and Thiefs are Bloated with utilities and needs a toning down seriously…

it is pretty easy to use your movement skills to get out of combat for a second …. tera does the same thing and it is a total circus

note some classes will be much better at this than others

if you can get out of combat with your mobilities and utilities away from the enemy it just means you would have escaped and run away anyway so mounts wont make a difference in it especialy when your enemy also can mount up so its back to being fair lol…..

Thiefs for example can dodge roll teleport accross half the zone away from you if he wants to anytime….

just because u can get out of combat for a SECOND does not mean u
“escaped and could run away anyway” but with a mount sure would be a heck of lot a easier lol !

If you got out of combat you got out of combat if its only for a Second it means you were in range of the enemy and got attacked instantly again…

well if that happens the moment you mount up you will be dismounted because your back to combat……

so again there is no issue here…. or are you teling me under that 1 sec you mount up while avoiding the enemies dmg and also run away out of range… under that ONE second ? then you were all ready in a position where you could have run away without a mount also…

either that or your a Quicksilver + Flash Hybrid.

Like seriously if i see another thread about condi thief after today I’m gonna start telling people off cause after this nerf

Where are you seeing these nerfs? I see nothing in the patch nor in the thief subforum about any nerfs to condi thief.

My guess is a stealth nerf, ive co mained my condi thief for a long time and know how to use him

I can tell that his damage is way lower than it used to be, then i played a couple matches, I’m used to seeing 350K+-500k per match, not one match did i break 300k in damage

You need to lay down whatever you are smoking there is no nerfs to condi thief.

It was 9/10 stealth nerfed, also yet again, condi thief isn’t remotely op, you all just don’t know how to cleanse in a season where its condi wars…..i don’t see how thief is the issue

Yeah lets just ignore burn guards, deathly chill necros, condi ranger, condi ele, yeah….thief is the only issue

Thief is not the only issue … But thiefs no matter if its Power or condi is among there on the top of being an Overpowered bloated Issue

overall for most classes Condi as a whole is an issue…. Condi needs nerfs Globaly….

Condi Reaper is the best dps right now but is rumored to be destroyed when Scourge is released making Reaper a pure power spec.

When that happens, I hope for a buff to Reaper dps.

reworks are coming to it i heard….. and il hope it will be better then the last time where they actualy Nerfed Power reaper while buffed condi lol…..
