Ok, I moved 3 ranks to 383 without playing any tournaments. This is madness and someone needs to adress this issue. It feels unfair for dedicated tPvPers.

I must admit, that I just bunkered Middle in Khylo, Ninfhiel and Spiritwatch as a CC/Shout 0/0/30/30/10 Guardian on Cleric trinket and a very good team carried me against pretty good high ranked opposed teams.
As they also soloqueued and I did not, I lost less matches and was the only one in the team on the leaderboards, even though they had 10x more matches back then.

CC always wins Ninfhiel. TP almost always wins Khylo. CC very often loses Foefire. TP ALWAYS wins Foefire.

Thank you for the input, everyone. I am definitely not jumping on the necrotrain. Anything under 20 different available skills bores me tbh. I thought about Engi though, but this I would like to be able to say “They changed the meta but I did not jump on the FotM train like some famous Eles did”.
Although as seen yesterday, an Engi and a Guardian can carry a whole team if played tremendously well.

Yesterday Mogwow (in my eyes one of the best players in this game) showed, that Ele is still viable with situational awareness. What he did to Xephs S/D thief was really enjoyable to watch, as this one amongst terrornecro are my hardest opponents in my current jouneys to tPvP.

Lets agree that everybody blobs, if he is able to. Non of the three servers can blame the other.
Because blobbing is in human nature.

I have to say that the Baruch Guilds (sIN, scnd, BuLL, etc.) are pretty awesome in the way that they leave roamers alone and look out for challenging fights. A pleasure to fight Baruch, thank you for that!

About me/us badtalking here. Well it is true, that I went completely vocal about people blobbing us and persecuting us forever. I have seen your videos long time ago. Props for that. Now I bet you will know the difference between “walking with giants” vs uplevelled VZ pugs or a 25+ man guildraid. One is easy, the other is getting CC-ed to hell.
I might have gone to far calling your GvG thingy grotesque and ridiculous, but is is the way I feel. I have huge respect for Mr. Sock and plenty of former RG players as I know what they can/did pull off on the field.

But honestly, most GvG players wont even know what they are doing there without a strong leader telling them. With so many effects, CC and Aoe flying around, it is nearly impossible to really anticipate a move or counter it but very macroscopical. A macroscopical reaction does not really require independent decisions of 25 players, but of one, their leader.
Your (RG) difference and what made you so strong in my eyes was, that you were also great solo/smallscale players overall and were able to act independently from the leaders orders, making them the frame and you guys the painting in it. You could say this for probably nobody else.

About getting vocal and/or rude in here, well try to put yourself in my shoes. I have been a roamer/smallscaler in my entire MMORPG life and no maps besides DaoC ever were such a good founding to do this than in GW2. But the meta is awfully different, and putting everybody into blobs, as we share it with easymoders and PvEers with no interest for fights. It is huge aoe and CC with huge numbers of players what is near to impossible to counter and /or outlast for a group from 3-7. Now getting steamrolled every single day by mostly under average casuals (no offense intended) that will jump/laugh/teabag you and get vocal in the forums about how easily they killed you barely outnumbering (tunnel vision, you never see the ppl behind you) makes you boil pretty bad.
When you fight servers that do not really have anything beneath 20+ and two roamrsgroups of 10+ that never get far from the mainzerg, that boiling might climax into an eruption. For this I apologize.
But when you from RG farm other teams, people stay mostly polite and give you props.

Smallscalers are different to that. When we kill a team that considers itself good, they will always get and attitude, invent excuses or simply insult and say we were over 9000 and suck so much

It is always the same. Even though you think different, I consider us to be a quite good team with some of the best players that I had the blessing to play with (Vashury/Pfefferkuchenpferd e.g.). Now we get killed sometimes when we already kited a zerg using all cooldowns to escape and get engaged by a second group we cross or sometimes by the first few thieves and warriors that catch us one by one while kiting a huge zerg with necros and rangers already harassing and debuffing us.
Of course those ppl most time well be happy they killed us, as I know and they know that we farmed them on the same scale (not bragging, simply what I see) and they want revenge. Habeas. But exactly those people later on will come here to the forum and pull that out on us how they merely ounumbering or even being 1 less farmed us so hard, wenn we were spread in the wind, off CDs and 50% hp.

I dont want do blame anyone, this is the internet and I am a tro/ll and a flamer myself. But expect me to react to that, sometimes under the belt. Because I am a proud and emotional diva and I hate dying ingame. Specially when I know I could have outplayed them but got steamrolled and emoted afterwards.

Now that you know how I feel in my shoes you can proceed to insult me and everybody here can start flamewars. Or we can agree to disagree in many facts and ignore eachothers occasional rages on this board.

True story, I rework my builds every day, trying to get more out of them.

Also I feel that as an Elementalist I never stop learning new things. Sometimes by watching, sometimes by theorycrafting, other times by accident.

The hardest thing for me is to find the right balance between defensive stats without losing dps. Running 0/20/0/20/30 on d/d this is quite a struggle sometimes.

Here is what I use for WvW atm and I love it. More precision would be nice though. 20 mightstacks solo, perma 25 in group… dont forget to count them in . 25 bloodlust ofc.

EXACTLY!!! Glad you wrote this. In many duels or teamfights I see eles sitting around on cooldowns doing nothing but switching through attunements searching for something off CD.

Air and Fire have huge meleerange and cleave width. both deal 1k+ crits and fire hits for 2-3.3k if very close to the target. All of it on 5 targets.

Then you waste the potential to burst thieves in thier smokefield or burst on several ppl who are ressing for 5k.

Highest crit on a d/p backstabber was 11k. He did not even heartseeker out of that field anymore.
(Not counting 23k crits on naked fools ;-))

Hm, I dont know if this thread is ready for this comment, but achieving a few thousand gold in this game just requires buying the right stuff at the right time over the living world events. It does not even take more than one hour per event.

I bought candy corn, t6 leather and copper before the patch and made a rough 1000g in 1 hour of trading. Not bragging, just pointing out how simple it is.

It wouldn’t hurt anyone if the transmuted weapons would get updated too though, would it?

Ofc the first three in the lane, that will eventually stomp somebody will have done that completely on their own.

You got that wrong.

If we fight, for example 7 or 8 pugs with 3 or 4 Buka, in TS3 they will say “Hey, I got farmed by 4 Buka!”, as they wont take into account the 6 pugs dying along with you.

If we run away from or get killed by a 5 men premade and 10 pugs behind them you will hear in TS3 “Hey we are only five and Buka is running/dying!” as you wont take into account/notice the 10 pugs poisoning us, crippling us, stunning us, scorpionwiring us, etc.

But hey, you could always take Delas offer and set a date for a skirmish.

This “risk” you speak of didn’t exist for them. They had no way of knowing transmuting it would become a problem later on down the line. You think people should be punished for taking the only available route to solve a problem with the functionality of legendary weapons, a problem that never should have existed in the first place? A thief has no chance in what might be called a ‘fair’ fight. i.e. not being able to untarget himself and vanish. That’s the design.

By definition a thief can’t and doesn’t fight fair. He’s a mugger, a handbag snatcher. The sort of predator that snatches little children at the school gates. That’s why everyone dances on his corpse if they happen to catch one out.
