Dont get me wrong. I dont say GvGers (what an odd term) are bad players and I know for sure that the most vocal tPvPers are huge scrubs that could not compete in any other game but this 20vs20 thing is nonsense. Its thrilling and fun to win, but it is not competitive PvP. Neither is tPvP.

Huge reaction timeframes and what counts the most is routine. Just like raiging in WoW. Moar dots!

And FYI I am not saying that I am any better than any of those mentioned. This game isnt made like that.

Seems like you know a lot about competitive PvP when you think that coordinated spamming requires more skill than having routine and a leader with the right strategies.
Is not like you have one single inch on your screen that is not covered by over 9000 flashy effects.

In GW2 a team consists of 5 ppl btw. Everything else is a blob.

So spamming skills on CD 20vs20 makes you better than spamming them 5vs5 on a capture point?
I bet you have a great overview on the fight when 20 eles, necros, guardians and warriors spam red circles, purple domes, white walls and it is all about running clockwise and counterclockwise just stopping to blast waterfields.

Still you can post videos from superattentionhorses on youtube bashing other youtubecelebrities behind the mill that suffer from the same overestimation of their own skill and are just known for being vocal on the boards, publishing guides as their own builds, even if they have been around forever or farming zerglings and uplevelled staffeles and longbowrangers.

20vs20 GvG is just as much a joke talking about competitive PvP as tPvP ist.
There is no real competitive PvP in equal numbers in GW2. Just spam hard and ball up or spam hard and have the right rotations on the map.

I was on Warri, only Twilight and Bolt on that one. Losing my stacks did make me feel like a weakling. So exposed to the forces of nature.

Nem, I beg to differ about the German thing. There are many small roamerguilds and we call smallscale a fight of 10 or less.
We mostly roam 3-7.

Getting overrun 2vs5 is not a sign of good roaming.

Engineers take 53% less damage while stunned when properly traited. I can sit inside a 100B and lose maybe 2k health because the warrior stunned me first.

I guess the difference is that t6 mats can be grindet and precursers not (If you dont consider grinding gold grinding a precurser). But I dont know nothing about that. I simply buy everything I need as soon as I have the 200 Skillpoints, the Clovers and the Shards and I dont think the possible price changes in anything would change that.

After several thousand (15.000-20.000) attempts in the last week I am very convinced that the upgrade rate from rate to exotic in the MF was lowered.

People out there have up to 50 mules with full bagslots and 4 maxed guildbanks and still dont know where to put their investments.
Quartz and Sprockets were sold 1c above vendoring prices in millions.

And when ADAC says they run 25 ppl, they just didnt count the 30 randoms sticking them.

Ill be levelling my Warrior though. The karmatraining in our third and on our border with one monobus doesn’t suit me so much.
Also our lakes are infested with youtube wannabes that flame and attentiongreed every time they join a map as if ppl cared they even existed. Pretty annoying, but people that get farmed vs players that are not french NPCs get mad. I guess puberty will fix it.

Ascended armor and weapons will be account bound and time gated… so no you won’t…

Ascended weapons will be so expensive to craft, that it will be worth to have a legendary weapon where you can swap the stats whenever you want.
Also the timegate will make it worth it to have a “all in one Item” where you only have to change sigils if you change builds.

Precursers will be doubling and trippling their prices pretty soon.

No, you are pretty much right. but In my opinion no matter how good you are on your Ele, you will need a team to work with. In yoloQ you need to be able to look after yourself for some time. And on same skilllevel other profesions do this better.
I enjoy winning and I am pretty sure that my experience in reading other classes helps me to perform good on the stuntastic warriorbuild.

I exagerated on purpose in my previous posts.

Afterall being efficient because you do the right thing at the right time is more rewarding than being somehow loyal to a specific class. Even more if that class cannot fulfill the role you want to be in tPvP anymore.

I chose Ele for its gameplay and roaming ability. Not for bunkering. Ele cant roam anymore (Note: in tPvP, WvW-Roaming is great) or even think about capping points guarded by Engis or Rangers. so I chose the class that currently fills in that role.

And as stated I am really starting to like the theorycrafting on warrior.

So you guys think that all precursers start being sold out shortly before a patch about ascended stuff and this has nothing to do with information coretesters have?

In my opinion, portal should remove a certain amount of conditions. And no, I dont play mesmer.

What an Elementalist brings to his team in WvW is huge boons, area denial, some aoe burstpeaks and good selfsustain with aoe burstheal.

Nothing of that remains in tPvP. I am not quitting my Elementalist. I am just not soloqueueing with it anymore, risking to drop into the matchmaking hell of rangers with bears and riflewarriors.

BTW: I did not even play Elementalist when this class was so heavily op. Even when it was still better than now, I did not play the 0/10/0/30/30 meta.

If you can’t burst anymore, then bring utilities that your team would lack without you.
I always run mist form for a safe ress/stomp and Glyph Of Renewal for epic self-ress or team-ress.

There is nothing you can build for that in a teamfight fills up a role as good as any other class built for it.
I cannot repeat this often enough: D/D and S/D in WvW are very certainly fine. In tPvP, If you can perform good-ish on an Ele, the opponents just suck. BC there you need to stay close to points. You cannot just roam around and kite to win 1v1. At least not if you want to win the match.
I win 1v1’s en masse in our Arena. But this is not what tPvP is about.

And honestly, after a few hours I am starting to really like the warrior and the impact and build diversity of it.
I am not tied to two weaponsets anymore. I theorycrafted a shoutspecc within 20 minutes that has better groupsupport and more dps than I ever had on my Ele while being more mobile.
I like being mobile. But I will never discard my Ele.

Played Warrior with under 1h of playtime in soloQ tPvP yesterday.

I can see now. 1vs3 against 2 Eles and one Necro. The eles just died as collateral damage while I was killing the Necro. I dropped to 15k hp eventually.

I want a tiger finisher. After that I am not interested in this gamemode anymore.

So. I have 1000 hours on my elementalist and barely felt useful in soloQ. Like at all.
When joining a Teamfight my biggest worry was to deploy some dps b4 I die.

I have a Warrior now with 1 hour of playtime. I can hold points wearing zerker, I killed 2 Eles and a Necro at the same time. Focussing the Necro the Eles died simply as collateral damage trying to defend the cannon in Skyhammer. I see a Teamfight and all I think now is: “AWESOME!!! STUN STUNSTUN STUN 100B HAHAHAHAHA!”.

The message is not that I am a superpro Warrior. The message is: I have 1000h on a toon that I love to play and cannot even remotely have the same impact as on a toon with which I am playing the first match ever.
I did not even read more tooltips than 100b and the stuns on shield and mace, c&p-ed the build and popped all utilities randomly.

Also, no thief using that weapon combination ? Ok sometimes thieves go d/p to brutalize necromancers but sword/dagger still stands as the strongest 1v1 thief build right now. Where have you been all this time when people complained about larcenous strike brokeness like no tomorrow ? Anet even nerfed that freaking thing (same patch that reduced dhum fire from 4 seconds to 2 seconds) and it is still the strongest land weapon skill in the game. If you genuinely think that no thief uses that weapon set you are either trolling or unexperienced. (although i often see shadow refuge used instead of rolling for ini)

And you are either daft or ignorant quite frankly. Nobody uses double Sword/Dagger anymore, neither does anybody use RFI among other things (which makes me wonder where you have been all this time).

So let’s summarize:

- He’s using a 0/30/0/30/10 build (So no Mug and no Serpent’s Touch) on top of the lower damage output of the build compared to the 10/30/0/30/0 build. Mug, Serpents Touch and Pain Response would have made a huge difference in this fight.

- He’s using double S/D, which nobody runs with anymore and never was a good idea to begin with (though one could argue it was viable before the Infiltrator’s Strike "nerf)

- He’s not using Pain Response, which practically 90% of the S/D thieves use since the necromancer changes and which would have come quite handy here as well

- He’s using RFI, Infiltrator’s and Agility. Most thieves will either run with Shadowstep, Refuge (or both) and the Assassin’s Signet (and Infiltrator’s Signet, if they don’t run with Shadowstep for the stun break), as that’s the most effective set of utilities

- He’s using Energy sigils, when 95% of the S/D builds out there are either using Fire or Air for the extra punch

So basically out of 7 traits that the meta 10/30/0/30/0 build you mentioned uses, he’s running 5 and not even the same trait or stat distribution (and I am being generous, because most S/D thieves have also dropped Signet Use by now).

Out of 2 preferred weapon sets, he’s only using one that we see in a S/D build nowadays and out of the 3 preferred utilities, he’s also only using 1. Furthermore he’s using different sigils.

It’s a completely different build basically.

I thought the “not seen playing that weapon set” came from a non-thief player who was surprised about the sword/dagger combination, not from a thief player who already analized the build better than i did.

He is probably one of the best players of this game. He just isn’t such a big attentionseeker as all those streamlings and WvW-Intigos, that shine by killing baddies and posting videos of it.

Fused never were droppable.
