I cant say this often enough. Fighting Viz is really refreshing compared to many other servers Kodashi roamers faced in the last weeks.

20vs20 GvG is an easy way for casuals to feel competitive to an extend.

Let them have their way. Who cares about PVT heroes? They do not harm anyone.

The attentionwhoreing undermining everybody else is annoying though.

-Stream about Ascended stuff: I could not care less, but all you could read was GvG Spam. Period.
-Stream at PAX: I was interested in the NA/EU kittenwars and all I could read was “raise your Teldos” and GvG again.

Many things are being done great by Devon and Ruby + Team to make WvW more enjoyable, split the Zergs and add rewards even a PvPer has use for. I really dont want to see any ressources wasted for Zerging V_2.1 to please people that dont give a cold snot about the people that actually want to watch the stream they keep sabotaging. You know, the other 99,9% of the playerbase.

GvGers meet wherever you want and do what you want, but stop putting yourselves above everyone. Funniest thing is Ogro comparing them to the Jews during Holocaust. As a German I found this very disturbing and ridiculous. Not mentioning that by behavior patterns you would play the other part of the story.

I was going to craft 7.5k Mango pies for Guild and trading purposes. After crafting the fillings while I watched a movie i had gained 130 levels in 10 minutes…
Now I noticed that because of this “feature” the prices of mango pies is terrible so I guess everybody is abusing this. I dont even know if I am allowed to craft the pies out of the fillings as I guess that this will be another 130 levels in 10 minutes.

The bleeds rounded up to 6sek are good dps if you meet a player that actually knows how to play and does not spam like crazy with confu on him.

The poison is not and never will be for sheer dps. It is for healingreduction… And vs Metawarriors and Rangers or Eles, you will need it.

Never talking about baddies. Those you will make explode with this build.

Sigil of bursting applies 6% more critical damage. Use poison on weaponswap and 10% bleedingduration in both sets to round up to 6s bleeds instead to apply more conditionpressure.

Hehe, you tried to give me your love again. It is moments like this when I know why I have 50% less falling damage instead of 50% speed in stealth.

Never mind our barking, we are used to GvGers claiming roaming with 20-30 to be smallscale and find that quite disturbing. No offense intended.

I can swap my legendaries without losing the sigils between toons whenever I want? I pay 200€ for 25 splitters if necessary.
My thief and Ele are really happy that they can share the Incies for a low Gemcost when I swap toons every once in a while.
Both are full ascended without even crafting anything or grinding the new content. ^^

+30 to all Stats,
+6% critical DPS
+10% condiduration
+15% Boonduration
+25% Movementspeed

With the basic Monk/Water you lose 20 Healpower and 15% boonduration, but you gain some nice stuff and more speed on S/D build when out of combat (there you will have perma swiftness due to Fresh Air) and huge speedbuff for defensive builds like 0.0.20.20.30 and 0.0.10.30.30

Trying them for scepter and the defensive builds tonight. Might be good.

For D/D with 10+ in Air: 2Monk/2Water/2Traveler:

45% Boon duration (75% total)
50 (60) Healpower
10 All stats
2%Critical DPS

This is a nice buff to S/D mobility without losing much DPS and to D/D boonduration with a little DPS boost.

Ele would be on a good spot if conditions got toned down a little bit and RTL gets inverted.
I still main an ele and have great success with it. Yet when alting on warrior it ffels like plaing SAB baby cloud mode.

Yesterday I met a group all made of condithieves, preplexity engineers and perplexity warriors on my ele. Dat melting…

No blInds? Bad thief. No CnD Steal? Bad thief.

They do not prerelease patchnotes, because it messes up the trading point.

Another thing is the stupid build limitation forcing you to at least spend 45 fixed points. Even 60 on s/d.
Try finding the perfect build on a warrior and ppl will tell you to call details as the building diversity is insane. Not talking about almost any weaponset in the game being available.

I love CCing people for my roaming squad. Ele has 40sek CDs where Mace, Hammer and Shield have 7, 15 and 30 seconds on silly things like 4 second stuns and GS, S, A, LB and R can immobilize you forever with leg specialist. Ever got a pindown on your ele right after you swapped out of water? You might think aether renewal helps you, but here comes a knockdown that is a 900 feet leap and now your heal is on CD and did not heal you at all, not even tick once to remove the pindown. Yes, people can read you and this is “Game Over” as it is followed by a bullscharge and a skull crack or flurry. 2 stunbreaks max? I have 1 daze and 2 stuns on ridiculously low CDs while you have 60 and 90 seconds. and sure as hell you will not outrun a Warrior with traited Gs and Bulllscharge. My swiftness lasts 30 seconds.

Actually when played correctly a condi warrior can almost burst you with bleeds. Most of them are bad though.

25 stacks of bleeding mean nothing, if you cannot cover them with other conditions. By design condition warriors suck, especially against classes with many condition removals such as the ele.

Currently I play on Riverside. So, if the WvW matchmaking wants it, I will you teach a lesson about the elementalist. The elementalist stands more than chance against all those classes. How should a guardian kill an ele? Bore him to death in cleric gear? Besides the necro and the S/D thief that nobody plays in WvW, there’s no threat to the ele. I cannot recall losing 1v1s to any class but the necro.

Then I remember your guild from our last matchup. Most of the time you stayed near zerg and we wiped you several times even when you outnumbered us.
I even recall an ele running back to his Zerg as soon as he dropped under 50%. Maybe it was you?
My warrior will be pleased to meet you. Dont forget to go full bunker, so you cant die.
And believe me, there is no single lesson you can teach me about my main character, all other are just twinks.
I know perfectly what this class is capable of doing. But a player who excels at ele will rock on any other class. This is the unbalance that you do not get. The achievable stats in WvW by e.g. Warriors are so stupidly insane that it hurts.

I think you confuse me for some scrub who doesnt master his class straight and cries because he wants easymode. Buddy I understand pretty well what ele is capable of and claim to have played it way beyond above average open pvp roaming. Then I started to look around and realised that I could do more with less work on any other class. And that the insane output of dps on my warrior while being IMMUNE to soft Cc, having -60% condiduration, 3200 Armor, 2130 Power and 24k HP while critting eles for 4-11k and having the biggest mobility in the entire game and 1700 reg every three seconds, not counting regeneration, seem a little bit unbalanced compared to a char that needs to go full boonduration and semiglassy to deal any damage at all without losing group support.

This is called roaming, kiting and roaming builds. Everyone is selfsufficient but you still go for group synergy. Its just a different kind of it.
The theorycrafting behind this is far beyond any of those mystic GvG strategies because it needs way more detail and experience on the field.
You actually need to be able to play your class asides of your commander shouting what AoE to cast at what given time.
Yet any ball of PVTers should be able to survive and or/decimate roamers by ballig up. Maybe you should improve your PVT ball or stick to “rolling over zergs”.

I guess you mean roaming group. Please stop putting the term GvG everywhere. Thats kind of annoying and it seems like you need to give everything a pseudoelitistic name.
Noone in his right state of mind would roam with 10 men vs Zergs with a real and specialized 1v1 build. Also they wont focus 1 player. Bursters do that like thieves or S/D eles. They will focus AoE on the called targets position, because in this game AoE is boss.
Roaming as we do with 3-10 ppl we are mostly outnumbered 2-3:1 and focussing down 20 targets one by one as we get spammed with AoE would be really superstup1d.

Kiting a Zerg and killing overextenders is on a whole different paper.

Also saying that SPvP build are 1v1 builds is ridiculous and just shows the understanding you have about the thing you are trying to sound smart at.

Doubling the speed of Phoenix and making the spell unblockable. The introduction of the fresh air trait. Just to name two.

The trait reworks made the S/D ele stronger, but the meta shifted in an unfavorable direction. Once the meta shifts again, the public perception of the ele will change.

Point given. If s/d thieves and necros get nerfed to hard, fresh air build will be insanely overpowered. Apologies.

Still this build has zero to one stunbreaker so that a metawarrior should take care of it with 2 cooldowns. Yesterday I critted a burst ele to 50-60% just by using GS 4. Another 20% with shield bash and a 4k skullcrack. I did not even have to swap to GS again to finish him off, the next autoattack did the job.

Farming zerglings or performing in a good roaming group is very possible and with the high skill ceiling eles are able to perform great tricks and win any battle.
Unless the other player is as good with his toon and/or has played ele himself. Then the ele will get destroyed if he isnt bunker.

Many here love to quote Helseth’s Rant of the Week as pinnacle of human wisdom. While I almost never agree with his points, he’s absolutely correct that only S/D thieves and necros kept the buffed ele and mesmers in check. If it turns out that the ele is not ok, then it is because the class is slightly overpowered, not the opposite.

I dont feel pain, I can perform pretty well on my Ele in WvW.
But since I played Warrior and saw how much dps, cc and armor/hp you can achieve all in one, I just feel like having to work harder to get same rewards. This is not balance.

95% of players in this game are terrible pvpers. For the other 5% I have thieves and mesmers in my squad to help me.

As talking for tPvP, I get mad just from seeing one Ele or Mes in my team.

Because it is ridiculous. Good players are good in any gamemode. Bad players can hide better the bigger the group. And as stated, I dont see this gamemode being competitive at all. The transferring of “GvG-Guilds” from server to server to get their games done is destroying matchup- balance week after week and the arrogance some of those people bring into the game is quite annoying. The arrogance of us 5 men roamers sure is too though.
