Just to also point out if you use that email address along with the password on any other site at all I would change it. Another good rule would be to never use the same email/password on any site, with that of another site. Once one of these agencies know that was a valid combination they could sell or even use it on their own to try to access other sites.

Yes this is a great idea, I know it may take a bit of work to keep it on track but some of the back and forth childish banter that happens between some can really clog up the CDI.

Since when did WoW put out new lands under the 2 year expansion schedule? Also did you see what happened to those after people grinded through them, they became deserted. GW2 is actually trying to prevent that by changing up the current areas to make them interesting to go back to. Also we have recieved new updates every 2 weeks, even if you may scream but it was temporary, all content even permanent can be considered temporary. How often once you clear and area do you go back through that area, unless it is a new character?
I for one am glad they are not throwing new land at us every 6 months, but rather change up the current land, add reason to go back to those areas with my same character rather than a new one.

So I am only level 36 but steadily working my way up. I really enjoy the Mesmer, I have only ever played my 80 Engie before.
I like the play style of Mantras, and am looking for a way to incorporate them into a full build. I also enjoy the speed and evasion that comes with sw/sw mixed with the stealth and range of sp/tc.
Traits I looked for anything that could help the Mantras. Gear I tried to make up for the loss of some health/toughness from putting the traits mainly in power/prec. I plan on testing this out a bit in sPvP tonight and see how this plays out.
Playstyle would be to get into the fight and have sustained damage hoping to outlast them. Final kill would be using all 3 charges of Mantra of Pain. I would also be using sw2 and f4 when ever possible.
Just curious if anyone has used a pure Mantra build before, and if so how did you play it?

Just started using this build on my new Mesmer. It is a lot of fun can’t wait until I get to 80. I also need to work on my rotations a bit, I tend to just spam what skills are up and hope for the best. Definitely like having your videos to see how you handle situations.
Having a limit on words for the post might not be good but rather on the one post itself. I think if an idea takes multiple posts to get across it has not been thought out enough. There is plenty of room to get an idea out in one post, at least it seems to be judging by some of the great ideas that have come out in far less than that.
I also think that having a limit on how often someone can post would also help. By putting a time limit in between posts it helps with stopping the ‘i must defend my idea to the last breath’ from happening. A downside of this would be posters that engage in conversation between other posters. But maybe if the gap were lets say an hour, it would still allow topics to be discussed without the back and forth for pages between a group of people. This would also allow a time period for people to cool off before posting the ‘angry’ post.
Basically the CDI does get very long and could use something to help keep posts well thought out and on topic.
Fact is, you cannot fully test the system against thousands of simultaneous users until you actually release it to the public.

I sometimes go back through the bosses just for fun. Also they do not limit the drop loot from the boss, so there is still that chance at getting good items from drop.
But then this would be the most optimal way to play the game, and people flock to the most optimal way to achieve money. The reason behind limiting it is so that you get the great reward but then repeating the same event during that 24 hour period does not reward the bonus chest. There has to be a near middle ground, and for that it is to limit the reward for each WB per day.
All this talk over a pay to win item.. there is no pay at all to it. If you want the item spend the gold and get the item. Just because the item is not found on a monster in the game does not make it a P2W. This item is not locked behind spending real world money. If people want to classify any item that requires spending gold on being P2W there are many items in the game that require gold and yet there have been no discussion over those.
If you would take the time and earn the gold rather than take up a support agents time in trying to get free things. Or for that matter the time that you spend complaining about this most likely you would have already had one by now. Items in the game get upgraded it is going to happen. There is nothing wrong with putting an item in the shop that is better than an item that was put in months ago. This is along the same line of upset complaints that happened when they put out the heroic edition of GW2. A handful of people that ordered the deluxe and higher edition when the game launched got upset because almost a year later a new version comes out with different items and it upset them.

Seems you should make a group and try to be a pug that does not fail at everything. Then if enough people do the same then there will be no issue to beating the event.

I have not had to spend skill points on skills in a long time but I thought the final tier of skills cost 30sp to unlock? It has been about 10 months since I have needed to unlock it sorry if I do not remember the number correctly. But really 25 skill points can be an easy week of 1 hour a night playing.
again you swing wildly to the other direction, the most expensive of elite skills cost 30 which they are not, they are regular healing skills.
Just providing examples, if you look at the progression over time everything started increasing in sp price. I have seen some pretty not effective elite skills, so it would not be how good the skill was but rather a progression of time that increased its cost. Going by that, it only makes sense that the new skills added would be at an increased cost. Really A-net could have made them above 30 points but instead found a reasonable amount to set them at.
If every skill point was set at a horizontal progression they would all cost the same, at which point you would have to find a good amount, you could say everything was set at 15sp. But then for new characters how would that work out? so then you could set them at a lower amount, maybe at 5 sp each? But again to have a new character wait 5 levels before getting a new skill is a bit harsh. So the remedy is to set them at a relatively smooth increase.
The new skills are not targeted for new players, they are targeted at veteran players who are looking for ways at diversifying their builds. The players who have been playing the game long enough to understand what adding another skill can do for builds.
Try not to think of this as a new skill that should be on par with where you believe it ranks into, this is a new skill all together. In doing so it should follow the same progression all the other skills followed.
If this still doesn’t work, the best bet would be to ask for a change in the overall skill progression. A system which has worked from launch, but now with the new skills would need a complete change.

Guaranteed removal of poison, torment, and confusion is a nice skill to have. Although this would be more team oriented rather than solo purpose. But this side tracks the main topic which is I think the 25 sp is a reasonable amount.
Having them in the gem store allows a sense of uniqueness to it. If everyone could get them on character creation it would lose some of its appeal. But with the system now you have to actively make the choice to save up for the change. May not be the best way to handle it but it does keep the uniqueness.
The recent Healing skill (Antitoxin Spray)from the previous living story release cost 25 skill points.
Not sure why the new Healing skills would be any different?
And I had a problem with that too. Especially because, despite being permanent, it’s a skill designed specifically around temporary content.

Sell off every item of the 250 stack, for 3 times and you will have plenty of gold to buy the gems to get the extra space. Great part about the feature is that you can get it with gold.

I learned something new today. OP it states how you can now use glory and gold to gain tomes of knowledge. Then if you are worried about not gaining gold with PvP, have no fear because you now gain gold on matches.
The same thing happened to me. I used to load around 1 min a zone, now it is up to around 3-5 min. And loaded LA can be close to 10min. Never used to have this much of an issue. No idea what I can do for it.

They are almost as rare as precursors, and look at the problem that whole system is having.
There are a lot of people that play this game remember, so just because you are not in the area where items are found does not mean they are not found somewhere else. But yeah I think only about 5 in our guild have found a chest. I have not attempted the crafting yet since I already had my weapon and I only play 1 character. But with armor I will be going for the set.

This actually sounds like it would be good, I know for my commander tag I spent $20 on a high Gem → Gold day. I feel that there are probably more that have done the same. But I think a commander should really stand out, they should stand out not by how much they spend to get the tag but by their dedication to WvW. I like the idea of having WvW points unlock the commander functionality. The tough part would be to find the right amount of needed points to make it so that unlocking all the commander functions would be tough but not tough enough that someone who plays 10-15 hours a week in WvW can not achieve.
I mostly use my tag for PvE, in which case I wonder if there should be a system to unlock functionality as well, but instead of points like WvW had. This is where I would use a monetary type system. Say for 10 Laurels you can unlock a certain function, or for 50 gold you can unlock the same function.
Commander functions should be something that is worked towards be it WvW points for WvW, or Gold/Laurels for PvE. If it stays the way it is and you pay the 100g to get the tag which then unlocks everything, there just is not enough separation to show what you have done towards having that tag. Going along with that if you unlock function X in WvW that function should also be available in PvE. So you would have two ways to unlock different functions either through WvW or PvE.
With this system the functionality I think it should stay on one character. This is a unique system that can show devotion to a character rather than an account. If the account wide tag goes into place I would say limit it to only the tag, the functionality should be worked towards.

Because having new areas to explore every two weeks is considered lack of new areas? Every time a zone is changed that is new stuff to explore. Just because there is not a new zone does not mean that there is a lack of new areas to discover.
Every two weeks I get to discover new areas, seems a lot better than waiting every 6 months for new discoveries.
But the current additions rarely take more than 30 minutes to find if even that. I finished up the Tower’s new add ons in less than 5 minutes.
Those who focus primarily on exploration need a new zone to fully explore. And your desires and the desires of the OP are not mutually exclusive. They can add in a few new areas during the Living Story without having to give up making a new zone all together.
And what will you do after you finish it in an hour?
I’ve yet to finish exploring a zone in an hour. It generally takes me several days to do so.
But once I finish, patiently wait for the next new zone to be added. We don’t demand that a new zone be added every 2 weeks. We just want a new zone to be added at a reasonable rate.
It’s obvious to me that you aren’t an explorer. An explorer wouldn’t rush through a new zone to get it to 100% by ANet definitions. An explorer would just run around the map and get to 100% by ANet definitions when he got there and would do so at a slower pace. Because they go: can I get to the top of that mountain? there’s no vista or skill point or poi or waypoint, but I want to see what’s up there. I want to see the land from way up high.
As an explorer you finished the Tower in 5 minutes? Did you run to the top, because if you did then you did not explore every mini zone, or every side area. All while fighting off the events that spawned periodically. Going by your definition above I do not think you took your time exploring the tower, I loved going in each mini zone and then slowly traveling my way to the top.

It has only been 5 hours, just wait a little while they will get everything all sorted out. Also if you tried to process a charge back through your bank that most likely will take a while to process.
As for not releasing the money until the 30th, a standard turn around time is 3 business days for the funds to hit an account, and then if you take into account the US holiday this Thursday it will add in another day. So 4 days from now the money will hit the bank account at which point it would be eligible for a charge back.
I am sure they will help you out, errors do happen and the support team will do their best getting this all taken care of for you.
If I did not already own the game this would be an interesting chance to win one. Really might enter it for a chance for an account as a gift this year.

Yeah, there have been a good number of quality suggestions on the forums, which i think is great for developers. I just wonder about the people saying that the LS is horrible and that they should change it. I think A-Net has the numbers and knows what is working and is not working, which is why I continue to play. Each content for the last couple keep getting better and better IMO. But again I am just one of who knows how many, so even though I like the last couple there could be many that do not.
At some point I wish the numbers would be posted, but that could end up causing so much headaches for having to explain what every detail means to the people. You can already see what mentioning what the numbers have shown on the BLT topics. I think there is a few threads every day where people are talking about how the market is corrupt. Then John posts some of the numbers, and people go into crazy mode coming up with the strangest ideas even when he tells them what the numbers mean.
I see a lot of complaining, and absolutely no suggestions.

what you expect are ppl suggesting if they say hey we just delete all your Progress… actually saying and complaining it is a bad move is the Suggestion to not make the move… because they would loose all of their credibility if they as FIRST MMO EVER DELETE LEGIT PLAYER PROGRESS!

Why create a new tier, and a massive grind for this gear?
Instead of two weeks of small story content, give it to us in 1 or 2 month bits with more story and content.
There definately has been suggestions, and Im not even talking about the massive CDI thread that exists.
1) Want to ask you the same thing.
2)Massive grind, I play maybe 5-10 hours a week and have a legendary, along with ascended of trinkets and offhand weapons. Have you tried other games that offer a subscription, that is a massive grind.
3)A-Net has the numbers on the LS content, they even told why they went this route, numbers show that with new 1-2 monthly content people burn through it in 4 days then stop playing for 1-2 months. With the 2 week updates even if the people burn through it in a fraction of the time, say 1 day, they will most likely play for another 2-3 before stopping and waiting for the next update. Which happens to be in less than 2 weeks.
4.1) Suggestions yes, but you have to remember suggestions on forums are in the majority of people unhappy with content. They come to the forums as a way to express that they are unhappy, if you have 1000 people playing the new content in a game and 10 on the forum complaining about the new content, what would you do?
4.2) As a developer you have to remember there are many people playing it. But then you have to wonder if the people playing it are actually enjoying it or just playing it, which can be a hard thing to measure. You could look at time logged into the game during a new content release, which after many months of having new content each 2 weeks you would have a good representation of log in times. Using something like this is a great way to judge enjoyably of new content, if people are staying logged in for 10% more time than the last content, one can assume that the content is more enjoyable than the last set. But again the time taken to complete the content needs be taken into account. Providing content that takes relatively the same amount of time to complete would be the best way to then judge log in times.
4.3) In the end you say how so many suggestions have been posted, but you have to realize that more goes into the development consideration than “X on the forums is saying this needs to happen so lets do it”. On top of this turn around time from Idea to going live in production can be such a process, but i wont even go into the steps for that.

Well, that’s largely because all bundles in this game have their own damage values. The same goes for Elementalists conjure weapons. Don’t really see the big deal. Bomb Kit and Grenade Kit compete just fine in the damage department, and they still take the increased Power, Precision, etc.—just not the Weapon Strength.
Legendaries are still very much worth getting as an Engineer, simply because you can change the stats of them at any given time.
Yeah I do not really care that it doesn’t increase. I went with Frenzy as my first legendary.

I got myself to higher level fractals to get the exclusive skins. That was part of their appeal, they were exclusive to running harder content and thus made the skins rarer. Now anybody running 10 can get the same thing.I agree they should have added gold and whatever to entice people to do fractals, but the skins should have been bumped to requiring 30+ to get them as incentive to do harder ones. The useless tonic and a rune/sigil I will never use is a joke reward for doing harder content. They’re handing out more doing less.
As with most of their new content increased challenge = increased % at loot. Sure you can stay at level 10 and hope for a chance at good loot. Or level up your fractal level for increased loot chance.

I was hopping to enter scale 81 again when they rework it so I get some hardcontent now I have to do 50*4= 200 fractals again with ppl I don’t know ( the Group I played till 81 doesn’t Play anymore ) soo invest loads of time to get where I was and I bet the lvl till 61 will be easy for me if I had 81 I woulnd’t get any rewards if I coulnd’t complete em so what Point in taking it away basicaly I loose time and Money spent worth of about 2-3 legnedaries if I played other aspects of the game about 4-5 legendaries if I just farmed
You feeling math hurt today? Cap is 50, so reset to 30… that is 20 levels X 4 seems like you only need to do 80 fractals. Although I just wonder if the new changes to level 30+ scare you a bit. It is ok to be afraid.

Fractal Progression Changes: The difficulty curve in fractals levels 1-30 is being adjusted, and fractals beyond level 30 will have new, special challenges. Every fractal players enter with a fractal level above 30 will have a special Mistlock Instability which will add new difficulties to that level or change how it is played.
Basically, anyone with levels beyond 30 didn’t get them using the soon to be newly added challenges. Yes, a lot of people simply kicked the Fractal’s buttocks up to this point, but now the training wheels come off. Surely those currently above level 30 are good enough to handle these new challenges and outpace the rest of us right back up there again, yes?
You’re losing the “credit” for doing them above 30 because they’re changing above 30. The past no longer applies.
This is so true, yet many in here do not realize it.
Tossing my healing build that I have been using for a while into the mix. I really enjoy throwing bandages. When I am in a group that actually understands to run over bandages rather than run around them when they are low on health it can be a life saver. My bandages heal for a little over 2.2k X 3 per 12secs, then with a splash of eg(5) and the rotation of bomb skill spam I do fairly well keeping the group up.
Adding on to this, there are so many people that run around the bandage instead of through it, even when they are on low health. By around it they activity avoid it like it will cause them damage. To remedy this I have developed a skill for tossing the bandage and landing on the person, or in front of where they are running.
This sounds like you are just not enjoying MMO’s anymore. If that is the case nothing is wrong with it, just take a little break from the game. Go play something else for a while. Then after a while you may want to come back on your own. I play casually, maybe an hour a night. And yet all of the things you listed are not what is offered as a casual players. It just sounds like you need a break, I did for a while and when I came back 3 months later everything seemed new and fun.
When ever I see posts like this i laugh a little. I love how high the Gold —> Gem has become. Reason being is I will spend an extra 10 minutes at work, to then come home and buy some gems and get around 40 gold at the current exchange. That is the easiest 40 gold/10 minutes I have ever made.
