So since about release of this game I have had issues with my graphics. Basically it would flicker on some portions of the screen. I will have an image attached, top left hand side you can see the whitish looking lines that appear. I have played other games with no issues, FFXIV, WoW to name two.

This may have nothing to do with the game, but i am up for any advice. I think after a year of it I am ready to have it fixed.

Huh. I don’t play dungeons too often (and when I do, our party gets wiped ten times over before we get to the end), but I’ve always run across fully-specced 80s in the EXP runs and level-appropriate folk in the Storymode.

Maybe it’s a regional thing.

Do you even dodge? Dungeons can be ran without any armor at all. I am just curious how your party wipes ten times over?

Really though dodging is your best friend in this game, unlike other games where you stand still and allow enemies to attack you. This method just does not work in this game, stay moving stay dodging.

The guild I am in runs weekly missions and we have about 120-150 depending on when we go. We fill up the world quickly, and have to pull people in using groups. I think you are about right with the 150 soft and 200 hard cap.

Except this is not a secret at all. How do you think groups are able to stay together if the zone gets full? This has been known since release, there is a soft cap and a hard cap. The soft cap will no longer allow people into the zone unless they are grouped with someone in the zone. This is used to help keeps group together when zoning. Then there is the hard cap, where the zone is completely full. You will not be able to enter the zone once the “full world” gets hit. Even if you have party members in the zone.

These features are great, do not make them sound like it is bad for the game. Although its a shame when solo players can not get in the world, it is more detrimental to not keep groups together when zoning into the world.

Re-starting client worked for me.

When I try to talk in guild I receive the message “you are not in a Guild”. I clicked Stand Down, then Represent again just to see if it had to be refreshed. Still throwing the message though.

Not broke at all, that is where the new LFG tool is located. needed to be larger.

Turrets are viable, now to come up with a toolkit +2 turret build. Thanks for the heads up!

I have been noticing slight increase, maybe? Although I did luck out extremely yesterday and pulled a Zojja’s Weapon Chest. Was just doing my normal 1 hour FG champ run, it dropped from the Wurm bag. I ended up going with the rifle, and have got to say I love the look of it, much better than my pact rifle skin I had before. My Engineer is a happy Asura.

Like I said not trying to be for or against this post, I have no issues with the mats. Even as a 1-2 hour a day player I have had no issues obtaining them. But back to the point, Arena-Net released their yearly standing, as for when that happen we as players do not know the exact date. But it has been the only official announced standings on activity in the game. Anything like “clearly you can see there is no one on, so that means that millions of players left” is just wrong.

I did not mind that you are trying to back up your information with numbers, but if you are going to use numbers you better be able to produce reliable sources. Not my friend Jim and Bob stopped playing and they are hard core gamers, so this game is not doing well. Not saying you used that as a reference, but you did toss out the millions of players have left the game information. If you want to admit you are wrong in that assumption I will continue to actually judge your posts with constructive criticism.

Where did you get the ‘less than 400,000 active players’ figure from? You aren’t getting it mixed up with ‘concurrent’ are you?

Yeah I think he has to be, because to think that if there were less than 500,000 players in the game AND the fact that there is 400,000 concurrent. That would lead to the conclusion that no one logged off.

So, Active players does not equal Concurrent players.

So you have a fallacy in that there are less than 500,000 players and there are 400,000 concurrent players.

Given a fallacy has been found that leads your entire post to be proven false. Which means you are wrong in saying that there are millions of players that left gw2.

Not trying to be for or against your posting. But throwing out numbers with no proof is a great way to have your entire post disregarded.

Back to SAB, if you actually took the time to understand how forums worked, then navigated your kitten kitten, over to the actual SAB thread you can see that there are discussions going on about the difficulty of the mode. This mode is not made to be beat in a few days, it is going to take time. So instead of kittening why not try to actually beat the level instead of whining on the forums about the level. If it is too hard stick with normal mode, or have an actual discussion about why you found it hard.

You need to post the law that says this for any of what you are talking about to even be considered valid.

Your first post is wrong, they are not upgrading your purchase. When you purchased your item, you received what was with that item. They added features to that item a year later, same name just more “stuff”. There is nothing illegal about any of that, it is their product to change as they seem fit. Your POS happened when you purchased the item, you are not entitled to any future POS options.

Just looked them up on Dulfy.. So amazing, my Engineer is going to love that rifle! My huntsman crafter is going to be hoping my Engineer can start providing the mats for said rifle. :P

I have to say I am seriously disappointed with the changes made to MF within the game. I fail to see how 20% account magic find to every user in the game makes up for all the players who brought magic find armor and trinkets.

You guys said you would give players extra MF for the loss of the items. All I got was a crappy 20%!

A change to the system that you have known about for months now, yet you are on here complaining. You have had X amount of time to benefit from the MF on the gear. They explained why having to choose between gear that had MF or gear that was good for the build was not what they initially intended upon. So they decided to have MF be account bound.

They gave a 20% times 5 items, this is a nice compensation. Really they could have went and given the full 300% for X amount of time and you most likely would have still whined that you were not given enough. Things change, if you do not like change. Do not play an MMO, go buy one of the many RPG games out there that are released and never touched again. If this does not please you still do not buy an MMO. Change will happen, embrace change or find another hobby.

You are fine, nothing gets reverted. Items with MF on them will become account bound, and you will need to switch what stat is on the item. Which will become available when this patch goes live.

Congrats on the Engineer accomplishments!

I created mine in December, and have a little over 700 hours on him. Played a thief before that since beta. I also am about to finish my first legendary(Frenzy). Just need about 200g worth of T6 mats, but waiting for them to go back down after the spike in the last couple days.

I look forward to all I know on the Engineer after reaching the >2k mark!

There is no way someone with 10k+ achievements can be considered a casual player. If he truly has managed to get that much while still having a full time work and other life obligations as you say that is the reason for him not being able to keep up with the LS. Than he most likely just burnt himself out on the content.

I have a full time job and usually only play about 2-3 hours a day. I am at about 4.5k achievements which still is not considered a casual player. I have no trouble each week being able to experience all of the content. I do not complete all of the achievements each event, at first I was a little sad that I couldn’t complete them. But as other threads have pointed out, once you get out of the mindset of “must complete them all”. The game feels perfectly fine, I look forward to the two week updates. IMO achievements are there for a guiding point, and a fun reward for participating in parts of the game, they are not a checklist that should be 100% complete all the time.

TL:DR- Your friend burnt himself out from the game, not the other way around.

Once I get up to 25 stacks of might it really is a nice build. I can burst using rifle, 5 > 3 > 4 > 1. Which on average hits for about 15k against an 80 champion. As for health and armor I seem to be able to take a bit of hits and am able to survive while close range due to the rifle 5.

I try to use the potion skills when ever possible up until 25 might stack, from there I just use when needed. With the boon + might duration runes I keep the stacks active for a while.

Overall I think, I could use a little bit more toughness, but I would hate to lose out on come crit damage or crit chance.

I am still in the tweaking process and very curious if anyone has any advice or suggestions. Has anyone ran a build similar to this? What was your gear/traits?

It’s interesting to see the different types of builds. Seems like they mostly go for a good amount of condition damage. The one I designed does not really have much condition damage, but seems to put out some high damage grenades. Is it a weakness that I do not take much condition damage?

Hmm that does look interesting. I will have to give that set a go as well. How did my traits look?

I was looking for a way to get the most crit damage while still holding 50% crit chance. Right now when I would pop into DS it would go up to 100% crit chance with a 68% crit damage increase. Which seems like the damage while in DS would be quite good. This set also seems like it is a good mix between tough and vitality.

Just as the title says, was curious if there is a fairly well WvW build that focuses on using the Death Shroud? I have been considering starting a Necro as my next profession to play and like the thought of doing most of my damage in DS.

Slightly modified version for a WvW build. Front line TK build. I was torn between taking 10 points out of Tools to put into Inventions, to get the +90 toughness with Shield and Pistol. But I think being front line, the Aegis from being crit would come in more handy, then the extra ~200 toughness.

Been playing around with a different build and just looking for some advice if people have tried something similar to it before. The logic behind it would be a WvW zerg build, basically trying to stay in the thick of the zerg the entire time. While using BK for damage, while healing the zerg. The TK and EG would be for pull/cripple and range/pulse heal.

I trait-ed into Power Shoes to help with the fast movement during the zerg fights. Hopefully moving around enough to not get single targeted, would just have to worry about AOE. That is where the backpack regenerator would come in handy, just the little regen while using kits.

Nvidia Shield is just starting to ship today. But disregarding that, currently the only games that can be streamed from the PC to the Shield are games found on Steam. Then on top of that, only a nvidia GPU that was produced in the last year and half can actually support the streaming. It seems like an interesting device, I have been reading up reviews on it since they are starting to emerge from different tech sites.

Set the left mouse click button to a key. Then just press the key as many times as needed, with the mouse pointer over the correct spot. I just did it for about 200 tickets. It is a little easier on the fingers while saving your mouse hardware from the extra clicks.
