After the recent change to HP’s, I really hope that the raid will not suffer the same results. People are going to be upset when hard content gets released in the game. Judging by what happened with HP’s it only takes enough of a voice and it will get changed. I really hope you stick to your original plan on raids being the hardest content in the game. This should be content only completed by the dedicated. And yes, casual or hardcore gamers can be dedicated and learn the mechanics to beating the raid.

Would be best to just map complete until level 80, then can worry about HP’s. You will gain many HP’s by just leveling.

When I click on festivals and Halloween there is not an achievement for jumping puzzle. And yet you still spent that long to finish it, knowing that there is not an achievement. Then you come on the forums and whine about not getting an achievement. Common sense just does not seem that common anymore. What did you expect that you would be entitled to the achievement because it was available 2 years ago?

It is awesome you beat the tower, I still can not do it. But even if I did complete it I would not come on the forums begging for the achievement that was available long ago.

I check out gw2efficiency.com when wondering what items to sell off. When you can look at a bank tab and see it worth in the high 4 digits, it is pretty awesome.

90% of the bugs? What are you doing reading the bug forums then going and trying the same thing. Besides a crash here or there I have not experienced any game crippling bugs. Go play another MMO at release, oh wait those games crash for the first few days.

The system NEVER promised to give you a precursor it just gives you a non rng way of achieving it. Yes you actually have to do stuff in the game to get this. If you do not like taking your time and working towards the precursor then DON’T. Just go buy it on the AH.

For anyone asking, yes this is actually a good use of the word ‘Grind’. Only thing is it is not needed at all, you are not forced to do this. You could easily just go and play the game normally and you will still gain the exp.

Did I grind a little to finish auto loot. Yes I did. Although Hulu + mindlessly hitting things is something I actually enjoy.

Slightly bias thread since most of the forum goers lately are complaining or wanting something changed. But I give it a solid 8.5, since after downing the hardest mob in the game, Mord in dragon stand I only received a few rares and a couple greens. Yes I got the unique armor but for 2 hours of work was thinking a little more. Still getting bags and bags of greens/blues.

eh its cool, if it doesnt get fixed no biggy, watching a BDO alpha test on my second screen and its looking like its got options. yes lots of grinding but the combat looks awesome and the immersion with crafting and trading looks intense

I just don’t even know how to respond to this. You say you like this other game, and how it has lots of grinding, but then you do not want to even play to get your elite specs. The amount of kitten out of you is intense.

Do you post in map chat like “about to start X HP!”. Also could post in LFG that you are looking for people for HP.

If all else fails, buy a commander tag. Get to HP, pop commander tag and watch the people flock to you.

Changing a game because you do not want to be active in finding a solution, is not a solution at all.

Love the expansion as well. I also think you did a great job with the elite specs, I do not want to log in and click a button to have instant access to the spec.

Again, and again the comment about “Play how I want” does not mean stand around and do nothing. If you quoted the rest of the statement you will see it pertained to not having a set role that you need to fill. Like picking a Guardian because it is the only class that can tank.

In short, stop using “Play how I want” as a reason to not actually “play” the game.

Also, I am casual and almost have a completed Herald elite spec. That is with having to start with no extra HP to boost into the level at all.

Pretty sure you are wrong, as developers said there have been no hero challenges in the beta’s yet. So since adventures have been in the beta, that would mean adventures are not hero challenges.

Would it not be simpler to run windows 10 in parallel? Then just boot up to your windows 10 to play the game. Have never used a Mac for gaming, but with the size of windows 10 now seems a good fix for the crashing issue.

It is a good thing that the streams are not made exclusively to sell a product. But as a way for the developers to show off a new feature to the community. I am very happy with the way the streams are presented. I do not want to be sold a product, I want to see who made the new features and to hear them discuss what it will bring the the game.

So instead of posting your thoughts in each different thread on the topic. You ended up posting them all in one thread, brilliant.

They will most likely go out the moment the game is ready to played. It may not be as huge as a download as you think though, just patching up some things since the last BWE.

I agree, I hope they do not change this. I enjoy having a goal in the game for my characters besides getting that shiny skin.

What game gives you a free fully everything character after playing with one character? What a horrible business decision it would be to just hand out characters after leveling the first one.

Every Friday they are sent out in batches, you should have it this Friday.

The amount of people complaining that they have to play the game, and yes play the game for every character they have is astonishing. Why must everything be given to you? Is it so hard to just have to actually do something in the game.

All I am reading is a few people upset about the change that keep posting every few post trying to say how bad this will be.

I understand this is a casual game, but logging on and getting everything for every character is just not going to happen. There is nothing wrong with having to play the game on each character to get the elite specs.

Going through your posting history it seems you are here to just stir up trouble. But if you submit a support ticket they most likely will issue a refund. They also fully lock accounts that get issued refunds so that will happen as well.

If you have been playing recently, it has already downloaded portions for you. We will also most likely have a patch on release but the majority of the files are already in your client.

You all that are calling this a grind have no idea what a grind is. This is not a grind, this is called playing the game. Sorry that you can not just log in and get instant everything.

I’m a little confused about the new Legendaries. I understand that they’re account bound, but can we make them more than once? I’ve seen people say we can and that we can’t. I know I’d like to have more than one, to give to different characters or for dual wielding.

You can only make them once. The twice told legend can only occur with the first set of legendaries.

Question: Have you had a chance to use a controller with the action camera? If no do you have any plans to try it out? If yes how was it?

I enjoy the streams. I find the people who appear on them, interesting and enthusiastic about the work they have done. It’s great. You can always read about the content somewhere later if it bothers you that much.

People seem to misunderstand me and why I made this post.
This is not about me being unable to read the notes on a site afterwards – I can do that and have done it for as long as there have been streams – I’m used to it and I don’t really mind doing it.

This is about trying to point out a potential problem and suggest a solution to it – it’s about trying to give some constructive feedback to Anet regarding a pretty important part of their public exposure angle.

The fact that I and others seem to find the stream a bit suboptimal might suggest that there may be others out there who might find it the same way.

Maybe a full professional stream might be too much – I understand – but maybe a middle ground would do a lot of good and benefit both people like me that would like some improvements and those who like the current format of the stream.

Ultimately – even if nothing is changed all I’m trying to do is offer some constructive criticism.

There is no potential problem, the stream went crazy for excitement when Joel was presenting and I agree with the other posters in here saying he did a great job. If you want a dull read from the card presenter then just read the notes afterwords. Having a developer who you may not think as “professional” is exactly what we need. This is not the game that will have a person try to sell you a product, this is the game that will show you who made the product. They will show you how enthusiastic they are about what they made.

I hope Arena-Net keeps letting the developers talk about what they made, threads like this can just read the notes afterwords that way they get the “professional” take on it.

There are no more server specific maps. Everything is a mega server, so it allows people in until the soft cap. Then only allows people in if you are part of a group until the hard cap. The best bet would be to lower your graphics so you do not get a disconnect when Teq happens.

That’s not the point. You can use those weapons outside the new areas as well. It’s another signal that they want to remove all underwater combat.

Or since it takes about a month to develop each weapon, it is a sign that their development is better spent other places. Rather than underwater weapons that makes up maybe 3-5% of the game content.

The raids/legendaries are not gated they are just not 100% done yet.

Just waiting for the comment of people wanting to be compensated for completing items that are needed for the current legendaries, expecting to use them on the new legendaries.

Twilight is not a new legendary so you do not need new things for it.

Got to remember that megaservers are in place. So does not take many for a zone to feel populated, and with the influx of new players most zone should feel populated.

It is a reward track like the ones for core specializations except that it includes not only traits but also skills, runes and skins (all in one big track).

Edit: It was datamined that it will be over 200 hero points per full track (170 for just the traits and skills) but there is no official confirmation on that.

Like the post said it was datamined. There have been many things that have been datamined and not in the game so no use thinking this is the official number.

Ascended gear took me about 15 hours of game time to get. Spend 5 hours a week working on your ascended set and you will have it in 3 weeks. The amount of development time that would go into managing the separate raids is just silly. You want the developers to spend their time rather than you just getting the gear.

Lots of people have this issue and this is the only real response from last year. Sounds like it’s a GW2 being 32 bit on 64 bit system problem. So yeah you can say it’s my fault for having a ‘modern’ OS…And it’s great an all you guys coming in to say you have no issues, but that really doesn’t help. The only solution is to turn down settings because the software can’t handle it on some 64 bit systems. But what ever, you win, I’ve been white knighted out of the thread. Good luck.

White knighted from what, you come across as someone who is out to start an argument. All we have said is we have top end machines and run the game on max settings with no issues. Just lower your max players by a notch and you should be fine, if not well then just continue to blame the game. We are stuck with the technologies that we have, the amount of work that would go in to re-engine the game would be too much. Also the percentage of people playing with top end gaming machines is most likely a lot lower than you think.

Love the particle effects even when I am not in combat. Please do not remove, add a toggle if you must but do not remove.

I would not allow a single beta weekend raid boss, which will can only be done once a week influence how you deck out your character. I would identify what you will be doing mostly in game be is Dungreons, pvp, wvw etc and what role you would like to fill.

Personally I am sticking to Valk armor, runes of rage, with Zerk weapons and jewelry. I rolled Shiro and Herald and got a ton of support, dps, boons. I did sword/shield and staff for a solid dps self sufficient character who can take hits and dish them back in the front line.

Thanks it is reassuring that you are going the Valkyrie route as well. It does seem to fit very well with the Rev, although I ended up going sword/axe and hammer. I think with the axe I loved the skill 4, and found myself using it very often. Then the hammer I just liked having the ranged option for when I am kiting a bit.

We still do not know the exact crafting paths needed for the legendary crafting. Since you have all the materials why rush to craft it? Why not just wait to be sure you will be able to use the new crafting system.

It’s a GW2 thing. Built a brand new screaming machine last year and got it to crash to desktop fighting Karka Queen on the first day. It happens frequently on world bosses. Best advice is to simply play a ranged toon and auto attack facing away from the boss.

Since you built it yourself, I would look into some programs to monitor your gpu heat. Sounds like it is overheating which is causing the crash. I built my own and like the other poster I have had 0 issues, and run everything on max settings even during Teq and other large battles. Really though it most likely is your computer, yes GW2 contributes in parts but your crashing issue is most likely a driver/over heating issue.

So you do not like the skins and you want them developed based upon your personal taste. You do realize there are most likely a lot of people that do enjoy the skins?

If you have an entire guild that wants to switch, why not switch to a low population server with them?
