i don’t believe anything else worth anything in serious 5v5 plays, only if some one can prove me wrong.

Sad but true. Devs made hambow stronger and nerfed axe/GS builds because of building momentom. Apparently warriors aren’t supposed to dodge.

What did Anet do to make Hambow stronger? O_o

“Merciless Hammer: Damage to stunned and knocked down foes has been decreased from 25% to 20%.
Pin Down: Added a new warm-up effect. Increased the cast time from .25 seconds to .75 seconds.
Arcing Shot: The damage of this skill has been reduced by 15%. "

Most of all the serious nerfs last patch were targetted towards Hambow. What exactly did they buff?

Hambow got buffed so hard, the ability to stack might with hambow and the runes of strength made hambow ridiculous. People run around with 25 stacks of might. And hambow now has 4 sigils.

Anyway hambow only OP in team fights, in 1v1 most people don’t have any problems with hambow.

Too punishing for new players

I came to the conclusion that thief/warrior which most people QQ about , are too punishing for noobs. Example, a hammer warrior comes at you and starts the burst rotation , which can basicly do a 9 sec stun. A player who wont dodge will get completely demolished by a hammer warrior. Same goes for thief, thief opens on them with BP+HS combo and they are unable to interrupt. They take a 5-7k backstab and start to panic.

Solution: there must be a tutorial in game once you enter spvp/wvw that explains to you how to fight OP teefs and OP wars.

Or if they listen to the QQ, those classes will get nerfed further without any reason.

The problem is that thief has 1 viable build

This is silly pants. S/D is still viable. S/P is still viable. D/P SA is still viable (mostly in WvW). P/D condi is still viable (in WvW). Shortbow is still the best weapon a thief can have. The removal of LoS on steal is borderline broken – it makes it a lot easier to jump a person, zoning them out, on a node without blowing both your ports now. The only weaponset that blows (and always have sucked) is P/P.

Pay no mind to the man-babies who cry over the lyssa changes – especially when these same players are probably using the uninterruptible withdraw. Ogre runes have always been where it’s at; Rock dog is op.

The only real big changes that need to happen are the 9 second fear chains and the +45% burning duration on balth runes.

With regards to any changes to the Thief class, the only real big change that needs to be done is making all weapon skills on all weaponsets have a purpose. This introduces more initiative management and more critical thinking skills. D/P is really the only example of a weaponset that has all skills used purposefully – which is sad.

And, in my opinion (I believe jumper was the first person to mention this), SA needs to be re-worked to mostly provide bonuses when exiting stealth.

Lol condi thief is viable. I hope you’re kidding. A condi thief is complete leech for the team. Single target bleed much wow. Trickery is the only viable build, massive burst to take out people quickly.

A single necro worth 3x condi thieves, just saying.

PvPers should be the Richest Players.

Leaderboards can be farmed/abused that’s the problem. And getting poor matchmaking as well. If somebody is top 100 playing hambow/ spirit ranger 24/7 , I don’t think he is that good.

If you are a multi- class player who is always trying new builds and you are in the top 100 then you are skilled.

Just join the bandwagon dude. I’m farming PvP with my balanced engineer now.Running in circles and spamming grenades is incredibly rewarding. While being tanky as heck.

0 risk , 100% reward= condi builds

Overpowered classes/ builds can stack . Before nerfs people were running triple hambow like 4 months ago.

And stacking thieves was never effective . Thief haters are either incredibly bad or don’t understand how this game works.

That’s why I said stop giving ME skill points. I expect people to know how to read. You should have a choice of stuff you want . PvE players can farm for a specific thing and in PvP you play and get random stuff that you probably don’t need.

i just won a 1v2 fight in tpvp vs a hambow and a thief using my zerker ranger. did we get buffed or they were just really bad?

Dat bearbow won a 2v1 and u still think ranger not OP.

The combination of a bear and a bow is too stronk, you cant have both of them in one build.

If the thief is so overpowered then why:

- wvw blobs are 80% war/guard
- top pvp teams only use 1 thief
- most roamers rerolled to engineer ( better 1vXcapability)
- lfg post says heavy only

So the logic is to nerf a class that is good at only fulfilling 1 role> high burst roamer ( single target) . Look I main a warrior and I can tell you thief is not OP. They are just incredibly good at one thing but thats the only thing they are able to do.

Guardian has the absolute best support in the game . Dosent mean it needs a nerf

And seriously be honest, most of the times you get ganked by a thief its not even a true 1v1, he gets you while you are unaware of the situation. In actual 1v1 thief has many hard counters such as necro / engi and meditation guard.

Thief class is annoying? Yes. Its frustrating? Yes Its spammy? Yes Is it OP? No

So thats basicly it. The class is so broken then why only few people play it? If something was ridiculously OP we would see 5 thief vs 5 thief in solo Q and zergs of thieves in wvw and dungeons asking for thieves only thats my point.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback but bearbow is still OP. Today a ranger had 2 bows and 2 bears on fast weapon and animal swap. This is just broken and needs a Nerf.

If thief burst would be reduced this game would turn into bunker wars 2 since it would be impossible to take them down without a thief

And 13k is only possible with triple signet build if you can’t kill a thief with 3 signets and no stunbreak then you should probably uninstall.

Yea air+ fire is incredibly good but I still see warriors in spvp running around with 25 stacks of might perma, no idea how they are doing but I think its better than both air+fire sigils.

My damage increased in spvp because I dropped lyssa for ogre runes but in wvw my damage is horrible. 5k backstab only on a pure glass ele.

It doesent count. I’ve seen hotjoin heroes rank 40 with ranasacker , I’m r45 and only 3/10 to ranasacker.

Half of the skyhammer games are 4v5. When skyhammer pops people just log off and come back later. Pls either remove the map or the dishonorable should apply even if you logg off before the game.

Current weaknesses:

-No soft CC
-Very little mobility
-Medium damage
-Most melee-centric profession(due to terrible ranged weaponry)
-Low health
-Situational Sustain(Ah only works with a bunch of people around and with staff, Monks Focus is not a sustainable spec but rather for burst healing due to 3/4 meditations have long cd’s.)
-Unable to spec into a viable condition damage role.

There is no other profession in this game with this many downsides. I will say though that you shouldn’t be able to do everything. However, if you’re going to make a profession 99% melee-centric, it’s melee better be kitten amazing.

Right, cuz thieves don’t have hard CC… lol – what f’n game are you not playing?

Sure a Daze such a big CC… Im talking about knockdown and knocback which last 2-3 sec, thief daze is only 1 sec. If guard gets more moblity why even bother playing other classes? Guard has high dmg, CC, Healing, sustain, support.

Edit: a thief who is spamming daze on you ( head shot) deals like 500 dmg , a warrior spamming CC on you does 4k+ dmg. So a ‘’CC thief’’ does absolutly no damage.
