I have sent a ticket it got finally fixed because of an issue of me and my brother and they unbanned my account today but I just got out of a pvp game it says I’m banned again. It might be an error or something because devs said they reviwed my case and got me unbanned.

There is some thing wierd that happened to me several times. I would go on a win streak in diamond, reach a certain tier like t3,4,5. Then lose 1 close game. Then it seems like the MMR expected me to win that game and it punish me for losing a game I should have won by giving completly clueless teammates for the next 10 games until I lose most of my pips.
Makes no sense. And even if I reach a place where I " belong " then I’m supposed to have at least a 50% win rate. But it dosent happen. I reach a certain tier with a win streak then lose 10 in a row lol.
Most of these loses are also from having an inferior temp comp. Opposite team always has an ele, I dont. When there is a DC it’s always on my team , thieves and warriors are always on my team aswell.
I’m thinking of Qing with some one who is legend for better matches .
I was almost diamond t5 then lost a game vs lower MMR team and it kittened my MMR. now at t2 and cant seem to win
I had a warrior on my team who went far and died 1v1 the whole game. How are you supposed to win in that case. I think once your MMR lowers from an unlucky losss or lose streak vs lower MMR team you are screwed.
If you’re actually wondering why you lost: your team comp is terrible, and 3 Reapers is never a good idea. Competent players would have switched for a more even matchup. You were one of the ones who did not switch and have nobody to blame but yourself.
If you’re blaming the colored icons next to peoples names: 5 diamonds (yes, your ruby counts as a diamond because of who he grouped with) versus 4 + 1 legend isn’t exactly an imbalanced matchup.
And the other team had a warrior. So the game was 4.5 players vs 5.
Massive lose streak on main account lol. Now main and alt are pretty much in the same tier…. feelsbadman. I was almost t5 diamond now back to t2. RIP legendary dream.
This is easily explained.
First of all, you’re playing through lower divisions later in the season than you did on your main account. The lower divisions are easier now because most of the good players are no longer in them.
Second of all, MMR fluctuates massively on a new account, meaning that you’ll get far more MMR gain for a win than you would on your main account.
So combine these two and you’re getting easier wins and higher MMR gains, this higher MMR is then going to give you better matches when you hit the higher divisions and the whole thing snowballs upwards.
the ‘’good players’’ were already legend after 1-2 weeks so I dont think it matters where they were. The situation would still be the same.
You are still overestimating how fast a MMR rises or falls at any level of games. Just because you have a 70% win rate on the noob account doesn’t mean it has a higher MMR then an account with thousands of games and a win rate of 55%. It almost certainly does not. It wouldn’t make sense at all for it too. A-net should just make everyones MMR visible so we can be done with this nonsense once and for all.
How so? I think the fewer games you have the easier it is to raise MMR. How you explain I win on zerker warrior more than on meta try hards builds on main account? The opposite team will always weaker be than mine so despite me playing kitteneless build its still easier to win.

I dont deny the fact that some people are better at the game. Most legendaries probably deserve legendary but the point is alot of people are are in the wrong divisions since you cant lose tiers before ruby.
Some people should be emerald but they are ruby. Others should be diamond but they are ruby due the MMR thing I just explained.
I think just using your MMR is not accurate level of skill.
They should really make it so you can lose tiers after amber and maybe those that reached legend this season should start at saphire to avoid alot of blowouts at the start of the season

I wanted to test the MMR and I made an alt account and got it to diamond t2 on core DPS warrior and thief in about 3-4 nights and on main it took 1+ week just to get past ruby. Alt account has 72% win rate in ranked arenas and main only 52% ( overall ranked) 58% (team Q) so the MMR is higher and gives better teammates.
Dspite playing meta builds on main account and DPS warrior on alt, I can still progress faster on DPS warrior on alt due to higher MMR and getting better teammates.
So I do not think the current league system is as skill based as people think. Because your MMR dosent always determinate your skill. I have average MMR on main and very high on alt due to having more games played and harder to raise MMR from there.
Should the system calculate your recent progress instead of your overall progress to determinate what is your MMR for more balanced games?
I think its why some ppl are stuck where they are even if they could be better than their MMR thinks because you can improve at the game faster than your MMR can raise if you have alot of games. And the opposite is true on new accounts, you can improve your MMR faster than you become better at the game.
What do you guys think ?

MMR ’’hell’’ isiint suposed to get you stuck in emerlald or saphire. A good player could possibly have poor MMR due to playing non meta builds or playing off peak hours or other reasons but it would just make their progress slower and not completly shut it down .
So if you have been stuck in the same tier for weeks, MMR is probably not the problem .
I was getting good matches up until diamond t3 then had a bad lose streak and im basicallly now having poor quality hotjoin like matches. I think my MMR might be kittened now and I was wondering how many loses it really takes to drastically affect your MMR. I thought losing a couple of games diddnt matter since I have 7k games played on this account but I dont know, it looks like even losing 2 games decreases your MMR alot and your matches get way worse than a couple of hours ago when you were on a winning streak.
Diamond is not any better anyway And legend people have 1 hour queu times. Matchmaking is broken in all divisions. I stopped trying at diamond and im now playing random builds that I made up myself.

I dont know what to do now… My real credit card dosent work so I bought a vanilla visa 50$ can ( canadian dollars) gift card. But then I later realized that the $ can dosent have the same value as USD$. So im basically stuck with this card and cant even buy the expansion because It would cost 66 $ can.
What should I do now?? Also can I even buy gw2 products with this card like gems or other things? Or it wont work because this card is only in canadian dollars and everything from the official gw2 site is USD $.

The OP already mentioned he is not playing for the daily, learn to read people. Not everybody cares about the worthless achivement points.
I’ve played gw2 at 15 FPS for 1 year and and half before it got slightly better with a new GPU. Its not that hard to kill people while lagging considering the game is mostly about random dodging now with overcharged shot/updraft and air/fire procs it doesn’t really matter if you can see the animations in time or not .
But back in the hambow meta playing at 15 FPS was so hard, had to predict pin down or hammer stuns instead of dodging due to the 1-2 sec delay.
It only proves how bad the matchmaking is. If you are r#1 on the ladder with a turret engi , the people around that ranking should be smart enough to rotate out of the turrets and make the match 4v5.
You are basically farming pugs or new players instead of playing against people around your ranking/MMR.
Turret engi is a bad build that only worked at low tier solo/team Q.
So much QQ about virtual changes that are most likely not even gonna happen lol.

I don’t play this game anymore but I would rather watch 2 lich power necros than 2 cele ele’s. Cele ele is ×10 more cheesy than a full glass gimmick build.
Radioactive comp relies on cheese mechanics but if they beat your team with that comp you probably suck anyway. At that level you should know how to deal with lich.
Celestial is truly boring to watch and play and it the strongest spec in the game without a real counter.

I casually play random shooting games like Call of Duty. Sadly MMO games are becoming very bad.
Hi I’m bad and I still play this game because I tried to quit and find another game but it turned out that there is currently no good game on the market.
Because people are expecting the highest level of play when they watch the finals. And when a player dies 15 times in 2 games they get dissapointed.
Instead of nerfing might stack, just give every class the ability to remove boons. Not easely or it will just be a skill less spam but huge telegraphed hits should remove a boon . It kind of a punishment . Because let’s say you have protection , you can facetank a couple eviscerates right ? Well it wouldn’t be the case. Big Telegraphed attacks should remove boons to punish the player and deal with the might stacking meta . With a small cool down , the boon removal from each player would have a 5 sec cooldown to not abuse it completely. So 1 boon per 5 second assuming the player doesn’t dodge any of the hits that remove boons.
- Earthshaker, eviscerate
- magnet pull, jump shot
- burning speed, chunning earth
- Enfeebling blood , signet of spite
- cloak and dagger , shadow shot
- maul, swoop
- leap of faith , mighty blow
- phantasmal berserker
You get the point , not all skills obviously but a couple of them would be great. So it will increase the skillcap of cele builds and other builds that heavely rely on boons. You have to “protect” your boons in order to be effective. And it will make boon-less builds better in a group setting. Exemple : bunker banner warrior would be just as strong a bunker guard because the guard could lose his boons while the warrior has naturally high defense from a tanky build. Etc..
What do you guys think ?

The problem is that most rangers use bad builds in WvW and refuse to drop the bear and the longbow. Well a lot of people use bad builds in wvw but rangers have the worst of bad builds.
Zerker/PVT bearbow is like the easiest thing to kill.
Alternatively, you could view the existence of a class that excels at killing other glass cannons as adding to the diversity between classes in the game. Up to you how you choose to look at it.

If some thief builds were especially designed to counter glass cannons, without offering much more to the game, and if other glass cannons could offer a lot to the game that the thief could not, then it could be worth the risk bringing another glass cannon against a team with a thief, and at the same time, bringing an anti-glass cannon thief build could also be a risk by itself, because it would not offer much more while the opponent would.
But in the current situation, a thief is not only a great anti-glass cannon class, but also a great glass cannon class at many things it does. It’s as good as the competition, while being able to eat the competition at the same time.
At its current situation, it contributes to less build diversity.
People still use Power necro and S/D ele in high level tournaments . The only glass builds that are not viable is power ranger/engi . Those classes deal way less direct damage and are kinda useless if not playing condi.
The fact that thieves are hard countered by sustain builds is also poor balance. A soldier warrior can crit a glass thief for 10k> thanks to might stacking , high base damage, sigil of intelligence.
Thieves are supposed to counter glass builds , that’s why they exist. The role of the thief is to get rid of opposite team’s glass cannon. You counter a thief with more sustain builds and conditions.
If thieves become weak vs builds like glass S/D ele then what’s the point of playing thief? To get owned by sustain, condi and tank builds? They have to be strong somewhere and it turns out that its against glass builds.
Wow, so someone actually admitted that thieves easily destroy all glass builds. So you’re saying that no glass build other than thief has a place in this game, because why take a glass ele or glass mesmer when a team can just take a thief to solve all their problems?
That’s just stupidly unbalanced.Anyway, the point of playing thief is to provide fast back-capping of capture points, spike damage when required, good mobility and guaranteed stomps with stealth/blind field.
Countering all other glass builds is just unnecessary and unbalanced.You can also QQ about guardians that has insane support. No other class can provide that much support to their team.

Bunker warrior is beyond useless and engineers are not true bunkers , they can’t deal with conditions . Not a single class can compete with the team support of a guardian , let’s nerf them too !
And BTW when I say glass, I mean pure glass 6/6/x with nothing but damage modifiers in your build.
If you spec somewhat a balanced build it counters thieves easely .

No counter play only if you are bad. If you watch a thief vs thief fight, they know exactly where they are even if stealthed because of the experience and how predictable it is.
And about mesmers, you should be happy if they stealth, that means they just wasted a stun break. And if you let them stealth with mass invis then it only proves further that you need to l2p , that skill has a long cast time and easy to interrupt.

So I was wondering what other skills stealth the mesmer beside from decoy and the elite skill? I don’t lose to phantasm/ rupt mesmer anymore but shatter ? After the mesmer already used decoy he somehow goes in stealth and shatters the clones.
So is it a trait or weapon skill that gives stealth with a shatter build? He was
20/x/x/x/30 or something like that.
Also 1 shatter skill destroys all clones/ phantasm right? So if I already took damage from shatters its when the mesmer is the most vulnerable ?
So yea would be nice if somebody could explain what skills stealth and how shatter works.

In comparison to what other utility skill? Afaik, no other utility functions like Merciful Intervention. But this isn’t the point of my posts to you. You said valor is bad because of no support, I told you there is communal defense. So that argument is now invalid. You said that guardians can be selfish, in reality they can’t unless they really try hard to do everything not to assist allies.
I don’t have a subjective view of support, I’m talking about objectively. By the definition of what it means. Objectively speaking the entire class design is built upon support, no one can deny this.
And if you want group support you would go anywhere but valor. PvE Is a DPS race. Valor gives the worst DPS options in guardian trait lines. It also gives the worst support from all of guardians trait lines.
Do you do teq or wurm?
Have done it since those can’t be critted you can get away with soldiers. And in Teq or wurm guards are taken for their support meaning not meditations.
And you forgot to say , he should be kicked from the zerg if he brings meditations.
Hambow is not good at all for dueling and S/D thief gets destoryed by any build with lot of sustain or AI.
Condi engi without supply crate is quite weak ( not sure if you count the ’’OP’’ elites)
I think the best are something like this
1. PU mes ( much stronger with condi duration food and perplex rune but not that good in spvp)
2. D/D ele
3. Celestial axe/LB warrior ( PvP only, cuz celestial sucks in wvw)
4. bunker settler regen ranger
5. P/D thief
6. turret engi with pirate rune ( PvP only cuz if you stand in the turrets in wvw , you are dumb)
But yea like other people said, there’s no ’’best’’ build because there’s always a counter.

After ~2800 armor you don’t gain much damage reduction. The tankiest builds in the game have a lot of regen/protection and not much toughness.

Hammer and Longbow, 0/0/30/10/30, Soldier Amulet and Strength Runes. Berserker’s Stance and Healing Signet.
Look up “Hambow” builds that are up to date and you should do well.
Hambow is so overrated. Something like this will pretty much let you handle anything that comes your way. Do they attack fast? Death by Retaliation. Do they have poor coni removal? Death by Burning and Torment. Are they allergic to taking an axe to the throat? Use Evis with 3 attacks after switching and get a nice bit of burst damage. Sure, you lack the control of the Hammer but this build isn’t totally shut down by someone having stability or a heap of teleports. It also has a nice side benefit of not being Hambow which halves the amount of QQ. People will still complain about HS, just say that you are sorry for not using Mending.
Celestial gear is going to be the real problem, that and the ability to use Strength runes to maintain good damage even on a tanky build.
Axe/LB is more OP than hambow in 1v1, I doubt people will QQ less.

Bumping this, hopefully devs can see that bearbows are broken. The bear is unkillable , it has like 40k HP and the ranger can shoot arrows from 3000 range.
How can people complain about hambow when bearbow is so much stronger?!?!?
