As a ranger main forced into spirit ranger, stun wars if played right win every time No stun breaker is the one thing they left out of spirits. Maybe they need to add a spirit with stun break?
I agree with this. I faced a bunkery stun war and he easily cleared spirits and dropped my health so fast while stunning me. i was 0-3. i got 3.3k toughness and some healing power. i would wonder how a carrion spec spirit ranger will work against them. maybe dropping faster.
don’t take credit and overrate your class for winning the game. looks like you had 2 bunkers who can hold mid and far points (guard and engi).
nonetheless, imagine yourself as someone who just bought GW2 box out of best buy, installed it, went to forums and read that spirit rangers are cool. And you won. YES, you will be enticed to play some more.
FoTMS/META builds are good to get new players in game. if they wish to go srs and compete, they will practice some more and or try other builds. the important thing is the feeling that you don’t suck playing first time and entry level professions such as spirit rangers are fun.
idk if what you’re saying is true. you are carrion spec and your healing power/toughness sucks. so if you do what you just did vsing a decent assaulter|bunker (like thief with a kittening tree LOL), you will wear out and youll die.
The QQ level on this thread is high and ridiculous. As a spirit ranger and based on experience die to assassins warriors mesmers and necro. If spirit ranger is OP, following logic, i would be invincible to them right?
Spirit Rangers are there to separate skilled players from unskilled ones. The skilled ones never lose to them and the unskilled ones go to forums and QQ.

ideally, if you want to play and win team queue, you get 4 people and make them your friends, practice x hours a day and win team q fights. and you decide to go esports and join prized tourneys etc.
your example is a casual joining a team q match. which will be frustrated because matches are automatically uneven.
thus soloqueue. now the casual player who just press button and want an instant match is in even matches (minus the syncing cheaters of course, those you refer who take the boards seriously)
Yeah the meta will be hilarious when they balance rangers and necros since many players have been riding the fotm and will be stumped on what to do against the players who have been perfecting techniques on technical play.

FOTMS/META builds are good for the casuals to get into pvp.

a skilled player playing an fotm/meta build will win against a casual playing an fotm/meta build. so it’s still skill that matters.
just rebuff BM rangers so we will have spirit rangers and bm rangers viable.
CC will just build wars the comp, if SYNC be predictable and stick to their comp till eternity.
Caed only plays assassin. Davinci only plays a guard. So that’s one thing to build wars.
Super is a Guild Wars 1 veteran and prolly knows how to build wars well. im sure he knows the exploits of Idiot Savants in GW championships in leipzig.
i play spirit ranger and the ones who have beaten me (on 2vs2) have stacked dps on me/spiked me on cooldown (necro/mesmer) and beaten me (on 1vs1) coz of attrition (pistol mainhand with tree and with Minions perma evade bunker thief)
If you want to have competitive matches then you get 10 players within a reasonable rating of each other and you seed them into teams based on their respective rating relative to each other.
Team 1 – 1,3,6,8,10
Team 2 – 2,4,5,7,9
Voila! Relative to the regular face washings that the system currently produces you have at least a somewhat competitive match.
or they can pool 10 players on queue and irregardless of rating (so a rank 2 can still play with rank 60s) and do the same thing, based on their Glory Rank or Ladder rating and equalize the teams. So syncers will most likely to face each other.
I just want my champion genius title, 20 more wins and pvp won’t see me again. Terrible matchmaking + constant leavers and leechers did it for me. Why would you play for leaderboards if it doesn’t say kitten anyway, since other people screw things up for me.

super, dont worry bout cheating syncers. they just get to noobstomp soloqers with honor. but you get to go to pax and have the opportunity of lifetime.
syncers are cheaters and you clearly know what happens to those who cheat.
Pool 10 players. Then evenly distribute players based on ran/rating til the teams are even. Not stacking them in 1 team and picking up the pieces on the other team
i usually suggest, “cap home and mid, win team fights and be patient.”
but sometimes you get to vs a bunkery stronger team at team fights or 1vs1. if that’s the case, i let it be and let the team do clutch strats ASAP. some times it works and the score differential is not that sad. but you get some noob blaming the rest of the team sucking.
if your team is dying fast or are wiping at team fights after waves of respawns, you know that you’re in a disadvantage.
They got Lance Armstrong-ed. They should’ve let Xeph temporarily sit out for this tourney and went 4 TP and a sub. Prolly the following tourneys, the eligibility rules will be relaxed a bit by A.NET.
it would be awesome if u could give ur teammates / and enemyplayers some kind of valuation ( like this guy played super tanky bunker: could hold mid entire game, this roamer sucked …)
